[ID: Digital art showing two arms tenderly clasping pinkies. One arm is in the colors of the trans pride flag: blue, pink, white, pink, and blue. The other is in the colors of a lesbian pride flag: Dark red, red, pale pink, white, purple, dark purple, and dark red-purple. End ID.]
lesbians love and support our trans sisters đđ
*edit 12/20/19: this post is made by a trans-inclusive nonbinary dyke to show that trans women are an important and well loved part of the lesbian community. this is not about âafab solidarityâ or solidarity between trans men and lesbians or any other transphobic bs, as many terfs have tried to claim on this post. this is just a cute positive post for trans lesbians. this is also not a truscum/transmed friendly post. there is no transphobic gatekeeping welcome here.
**edit 5/22/22: this was literally made before the orange and pink lesbian flag was even created. check the timestamp it was posted before saying anything about the flag choice. it wasnât me âchoosingâ to use the pink flag, it was that the pink flag was the mainstream lesbian flag in use at the time this art was created

[ID: White bubble text on a black background that reads, "Please describe your art! I am too disabled to keep up with you all!". Next to this is an original Flatland character, Hauntlight, an Irregular line who has many bends, and whose back end branches out into a narrow fork. It has a white glow on its outside, and its insides are filled with simple blobs of different shades of purple and pink to show its internal organs. End ID.]
The goal for this blog was feasable when it was only a few people posting, but now with the sudden surge of new fans posting undescribed art every single day, I literally have no hope of keeping up unless other people start describing their own art, or at least adding descriptions to other people's.
If someone adds an image description to your art, copy and paste it into the original post. It should be in the same format as the one on this post: Plain regular text with no italics, color, or bold. Describe what is in the image. Pretend your friend's internet isn't working and the image won't load for them.
A plain text image description is more accessible than ALT text alone, because tumblr is glichy as all crap, and even if the ALT text is working fine today, it might not be tomorrow, or a few months from now. For several months they literally had the ALT text be white text on a neon purple background. Do not trust tumblr's staff to keep their accessability features actually accessible. They break this site all the time. Plain text in the body of the post itself, like all of this whole post is, is less likely to be broken by glitches and changes to the site.
Image descriptions are for blind and low vision people the way subtitles are for the deaf and hard of hearing, as well as people with brain damage who can see fine, but still struggle to process images.
Learning to describe your art will make you a better writer and artist. It will allow disabled people to appreciate your art. It will make this fandom, and any other fandoms you make art for, more welcoming for disabled people, and will make the internet overall more accessible.
Please start adding plain text image descriptions to your art. There are hundreds of tutorials on tumblr alone you can find, and many blogs dedicated solely to creating image descriptions that you can follow to see more examples.
Image descriptions should go directly below the image they are describing, above any other commentary. Do not put them at the very bottom of the post if the image is the first thing in the post.
Also, do not put anything you wouldn't be okay with losing forever under a read-more. If you ever delete the original post, change your username, or have your blog terminated, everything under a read-more will be deleted forever, because the link breaks.
This is why image descriptions should not go under read-mores unless the images they're describing are also under it.
Please add image descriptions to your art before you post it. I could slowly work my way through the fandom's posts when it was only a few people, but this is just becoming unmanageable and I don't want to have to give up from being completley overwhelmed.
Make image descriptions for your own art. Make them for other's art. At the very very least, when someone makes one for your art, add it to the original post. Please. Irregulars are in this fandom too.

if you make image descriptions a lot feel free to copy and paste this into a notepad or something for easy using. I paste it into the tags whenever I add an ID to someone else's post so they know what it is and that they should add it to the original post / any additional reblogs:
#you are encouraged to copy and paste the ID into the original post for accessibility#no credit needed though it should remain above a read-more and not be put into#tiny colored italicized or other hard to read text in order to remain accessible.#Not everyone who needs an ID uses a screenreader.#Image descriptions are for the blind and visually impaired the way subtitles are for the deaf and hard of hearing#please copy the whole ID into the original post directly below the image. ty.
it's formatted so it'll fit in tags properly and the OP will see it when you add an ID.

Google Drive offers great features for storing and working with different types of files but it does lack some features that are crucial for your work. Google Apps Scripts is an easy-to-use scripting language to get things done, which are otherwise not available in Drive.
There are scripts that can let you read/extract text from images, convert files, auto-backup social photos or store Gmail attachments. Most scripts let you automate these services as well.
Letâs check out how to make use of Google Apps Scripts to fill the missing holes in Google Drive and do many more things without third-party tools.
How to Run Google Apps Scripts
To create and run a script in Drive, follow these steps:
Create/open a Google Doc or Sheet. From Tools menu, select Script editor.
Remove existing code and add your code. Go to File > Save > add script name > Click OK.
To execute, click âş, or from the Run menu, select a function. If running the script for first time, it will ask for your authentication. Check the required permissions and click Allow.
A yellow bar will appear at the centre-top, to indicate that the script is running.
Please note these steps are for general scripts and certain scripts may require specific additional instructions to run.
1. Convert and Email Google Sheets
What it does:
Converts Google Sheets to PDF and mails them using your Gmail account
Lets you convert and send just one sheet using its sheet id.
Send the PDF to multiple persons by adding their addresses, separated by commas.
Use Case Scenario:
Itâs helpful in scenarios like when you wish to send marketing data to a third party but donât want to share the whole spreadsheet. You can use this script to send a PDF version. This way required data is shared without compromising your whole spreadsheetâs info.
2. Convert Images to Text using OCR
What it does:
Converts images to text documents using the OCR technology; saves them in your drive.
Use Case Scenario:
This script proves beneficial in situations when you need to edit text in imges or do research on a large number of images. It makes the converted images editable and searchable. It saves your time and efforts and gives trustworthy text output as it uses the Googleâs native OCR technology.
3. Track File Editors in Google Drive
What it does:
Finds out which user made changes to your Google Driveâs native files.
Displays the dates and times when the file was modified along with the name and email address of users who made the changes to your shared documents/files.
Use Case Scenario:
This script is useful for tracking the modifications made in your drive, including Sheets, Documents, Presentations and other Google Drive formats.
4. Save a Webpage to Google Drive
What it does:
Saves or backs up webpage on any URL to Google Drive.
Fetches the web page and saves the same as HTML file (by default) or your configured extension.
Maintains a nice folder structure for storing multiple web pages or their copies.
Use Case Scenario:
This script is most helpful for researchers, scholars, bloggers and such who need to research lots of websites and might need to save them for future reference. Do remember to change the RESOURCE_URL in the snippet to the link you wish to download.
5. Send a Google Doc via Email
What it does:
Sends a Google Doc through email to anyone and places the docâs content as the emailâs body (rather than an attachment).
Converts the doc to HTML and sends the same via email
Use Case Scenario:
If you want to send something not as an attachment but as part of the email, this is the that gets the job done. Do note you must change documentId, recipient, subject to their actual values in the 4th line.
6. Host a Website on Google Drive
What it does:
Host any static website including files like HTML, CSS, JS, image, podcast, etc on Google Drive. (Drive canât be used to serve dynamic sites like those using PHP or Java backends.)
Use Case Scenario:
This script is useful when you donât wish to buy a hosting plan or domain for your site. Itâs completely free of charge and Googleâs servers are a lot faster than many hosting providers in the world.
7. Download Instagram Photos to Drive
What it does:
Downloads multiple Instagram photos and save them to your drive automatically.
Download photos using certain tags or from any specific Instagram URL.
Images are kept in a separate folder in Drive for easy maintenance.
Use Case Scenario:
Itâs helpful for Instagram fans, collectors and researchers who maintain data backups in Drive.
8. Convert a Google Doc to Markdown
What it does:
Converts a Google Doc to the markdown (.md) format.
It mails you the converted document along with images automatically. (Note it may get into problems with data using complex formatting.)
Use Case Scenario:
Itâs useful for bloggers and publishers who regularly use the markdown format for publishing online. Using this, they can avoid manual work of converting their content for every draft.
9. Set Auto-Expiry for Shared Data
What it does:
Sets an auto-expiry interval on the shared files and folders in Drive
Automatically removes access to other users after the certain period (of auto-expiry).
Use Case Scenario:
This script is useful for allowing limited access to your driveâs data and relieves you from worrying about forgetting to unshare data. This feature is already available for Google Apps for Work users, but if youâre free user, then itâs for you.
10. Save Gmail Attachments in Drive
What it does:
Extracts and saves all Gmail attachments to a particular folder in your drive.
Notify progress of fetched attachments, via email but requires setting up notification preferences.
Use Case Scenario:
If you prefer to store attachments into cloud storages like Drive, then this is the script to get.
11. Search All Files in Google Drive
What it does:
Searches all your files in the drive and displays the results in simple-to-digest style in a Google Sheet.
Supports docs, sheets, presentations and few other text formats.
Use Case Scenario:
Search through your files and piles of data quickly with this.
12. List Directory in Google Drive
What it does:
Lists all files and folders of a Google Driveâs directory recursively
Write this data in easy-to-see format in a spreadsheet.
Use Case Scenario:
Good for making sense of all the data in your Drive, and for file management purposes. Do note that for this script to work, you must set the folderId first in the code. A folder id is everything after the Ă¢ĂâŹĂËfolders/â portion of a folderâs address.
13. Convert Google Docs to HTML
What it does:
Converts Google Docs to HTML format for easy sharing or using in web pages or source code editors.
Supports various basic HTML tags or formatting options but do understand it doesnât work very well for complex text formatting.
Use Case Scenario:
Helpful mostly for writers, bloggers and publishers seeking posts for HTML-ready tools. Do remember to set the KEY and FILE_ID variables in the code.
14. Combine Data from Multiple Sheets
What it does:
Merges data from multiple sheets of a particular spreadsheet into a single sheet in the current spreadsheet.
Use Case Scenario:
This script is helpful in situations wherein you have got multiple sheets of common data (including common headers and structure) and you wish to combine them into one large sheet of data.
15. Export Google Sheets to CSV Files
What it does:
Exports sheets in the current spreadsheet as individual CSV files in Drive.
Use Case Scenario:
Itâs helpful for people who regularly use Sheets for managing and storing data and require data in CSV format for sharing or use in other apps. Without this, Google Sheets only convert and download one sheet at a time.
After copying code into the Script Editor, re-open that spreadsheet and check the Add-ons menu.
16. Convert a Google Sheet to PDF Invoice
What it does:
Converts any particular sheet to a PDF invoice and save to your Drive.
Use Case Scenario:
Good for users who regularly use the Google Apps ecosystem as their work tool and have to deal with product invoices and such.
17. Upload a URL directly to Google Drive
What it does:
Uploads any individual file (or multiple files) from a specific URL to your drive automatically.
Files are saved in a specific folder in the drive and it can easily upload multiple files from multiple links provided itâs given one at a time.
Use Case Scenario:
For people who like to keep data from the Web in Drive. All it needs is the link of the page you need. To use, copy code into the Script Editor and go to Publish > Deploy as web appâŚ
18. Download Google+ Profiles to Google Sheets
What it does:
Fetches publicly available Google+ profilesâ data to a Google Sheet. The fetched data includes name, work info, profile picture and more.
The only input it requires is the profile id of the person you wish to get data about and this works for multiple profiles.
Use Case Scenario:
This is extremely helpful for data entry and social media analysts for data collection.
19. Convert PDF Attachments to Plain Text
What it does:
Converts all PDF attachments from Gmail to plain text format for easy sharing/storing
You can specify the PDFâs original language (for extracting the text) and save the output plain text files along with the original PDF files in Google Drive.
Use Case Scenario:
You regularly receive PDFs via mails and want to save them in Drive in original or plain text form. It does the job in batches.
How did you find this list? Do you know any more Google Apps Scripts which help ease life of a Drive user? Please let us know using the comments section below.

What Is Your Bankâs Security Banking On?
A large number of banks, credit unions and other financial institutions just pushed customers onto new e-banking platforms that asked them to reset their account passwords by entering a username plus some other static identifier â such as the first six digits of their Social Security number (SSN), or a mix of partial SSN, date of birth and surname. Hereâs a closer look at what may be going on (spoiler: small, regional banks and credit unions have grown far too reliant on the whims of just a few major online banking platform providers).
You might think it odd that any self-respecting financial institution would seek to authenticate customers via static data like partial SSN for passwords, and youâd be completely justified for thinking that, too. Nobody has any business using these static identifiers for authentication because they for sale on most Americans quite easily and cheaply in the cybercrime underground. The Equifax breach might have ârefreshedâ some of those data stores for identity thieves, but most U.S. adults have had their static details (DOB/SSN/MMN, address, previous address, etc) on sale for years now.
On Feb. 16, KrebsOnSecurity reader Brent Hoeft shared a copy of an email heâd just received from his financial institution Associated Bank, which at $30+ billion in assets happens to be Wisconsinâs largest by asset size.
The notice advised:
âPlease read and save this information (including the password below) to prepare for your online and mobile banking upgrade.
Our refreshed online and mobile banking experience is officially launching on Monday, February 26, 2018.
Weâre excited to share it with you, and want you to be aware of some important details about the transition.
TEMPORARY PASSWORD
Use this temporary password the first time you sign in after the upgrade. Your temporary password is the first four letters of your last name plus the last four digits of your Social Security Number.
XXXX#### [redacted by me but included in the email]
Note: your password is all lowercase without spaces.
Once the upgrade is complete, you will need your temporary password to begin the re-enrollment process. ⢠Beginning Monday, February 26, you will need to sign in using your existing user ID and the temporary password included above in this email. Please note that you are only required to reenroll in online or mobile banking but can access both using the same user ID and password. ⢠Once you sign in, you will be prompted to create a new password and establish other security features. Your user ID will remain the same.â
Hoeft said Associated Bank seems to treat the customer username as a secret, something to be protected along with the password.
âI contacted Associatedâs customer service via email and received a far less satisfying explanation that the user name is required for re-activation and, that since [the username] was not provided in the email, the process they are using is in fact secure,â Hoeft said.
After speaking with Hoeft, I tweeted about whether to name and shame the bank before it was too late, or perhaps to try and talk some sense into them privately. Most readers advised that calling attention to the problem before the transition could cause more harm than good, and that at least until after Feb. 26 contacting some of the banks privately was the best idea (which is what I did).
Associated Bank wouldnât say who their new consumer online banking platform provider was, but they did say it was one of the big ones. I took that to mean either FIS, Fiserv or Jack Henry, which collectively control approximately 70 percent of the market for bank core processors (according to FedFIS.com, Fiserv is by far the largest).
Image: Fedfis.com
The bankâs chief information security officer Joe Smits said Associatedâs new consumer online banking platform provider required that new and existing customers log in with a username and a temporary password â which was described as choice among secondary, static data elements about customers â such as the first six digits of the customerâs SSN or date of birth.
Smits added that the bank originally started emailing customers the instructions for figuring out their temporary passwords, but then decided US mail would be a safer option and sent the rest out that way. He said only about 15 percent of Associated Bank customers (~50,000) received instructions about their temporary passwords through email.
I followed up with Hoeft to find out how his online banking upgrade went at Associated Bank. He told me that upon visiting the site, it asked for his username and the temporary password (the first four letters of his last name and the last four digits of his SSN).
âAfter entering that I was told to re-enter my temporary password and then create a new password,â Hoeft said. âI then was asked to select 5 security questions and provide answers. Next I was asked for a verification phone number. Upon entering that I received a text message with a 4 digit verification code. After entering the code it asked me to finish my profile information including name, email and daytime phone. After that it took me right into my online banking account.â
Hoeft said it seems like the âverificationâ step that was supposed to create an extra security check didnât really add any security at all.
âIf someone were able to get in with the temporary password, they would be able to create a new password, fill out all the security code information, and then provide their phone number to receive the verification code,â Hoeft said. âArmed with the verification code they then would be able to get right into my online banking account.â
OTHER BANKS
A simple search online revealed Associated Bank wasnât alone: Multiple institutions were moving to a new online banking platform all on the same day: Feb. 26, 2018.
My Credit Union also moved to a new online banking service in February, posting a notice stating that all customers will need to log in with their current username and the last four of their SSN as a temporary password.
Customers Bank, a $10 billion bank with nearly two dozen branches between Boston and Philadelphia, also told customers that starting Feb. 26 they would need to use a temporary password â the last six digits of their Social Security number â to re-enroll in online banking. Hereâs part of their advice, which was published in a PDF on the bankâs site:
⢠You may notice a new co-branded logo for Customers Bank and BankMobile (Division Customers Bank). ⢠Your existing user name for Online Banking will remain the same within the new system; however, it must be entered as all lowercase letters. ⢠The first time you log into the new Online Banking system, your temporary password is the last 6-digits of your social security number. Your temporary password will expire on Friday, April 20, 2018. Please be sure to log in prior to that date. ⢠Online Banking includes multi-factor authentication which will need to be reestablished as part of the initial sign in to the system. ⢠Your username and password credentials for Online Banking will be the same for Mobile Banking. Note: Before accessing the new Mobile Banking services, you must first login to our enhanced Online Banking system to change your password. ⢠You will also need to enroll your mobile device, either through Online Banking by visiting the Mobile Banking Center option, or directly on the device through the app. Both options will require additional authentication.
Columbia Bank, which has 140 branches in Washington, Oregon and Idaho, also switched gears on Feb. 26, but used a more sensible approach: Sending customers a new user ID, organization ID and temporary password in two separate mailings.
ANALYSIS
My tweet about whether to name Associated Bank attracted the attention of at least two banking industry security regulators, each of whom spoke with KrebsOnSecurity on condition of not being identified by name or regulatory agency.
Both said their agencies would be using the above examples in briefings with member institutions as instructional on how not to do online banking securely. Both also said small to mid-sized banks are massively beholden to their platform providers, and many banks simply accept the defaults instead of pushing for stronger alternatives.
âI have a lot of communications directly with the chief information security officers, chief security officers, and chief information officers in many institutions,â one regulator said. âMany of them have massively dumbed down their password requirements. A lot of smaller institutions often donât understand the risk involved in online banking, which is why they try to outsource the whole thing to someone else. But they canât outsource accountability.â
One of the regulators I spoke with suggested that all of the banks theyâd seen transitioning to a new online banking platform on Feb. 26 were customers of Fiserv â the nationâs largest online banking platform provider.
Fiserv did not respond to specific questions for this story, saying only in a written statement that: âFiserv regularly partners with financial institutions to provide capabilities that help mitigate and manage risk, enhance the customer experience, and allow banks to remain competitive. A variety of methodologies are used by institutions to enroll and authenticate new users onto online banking platforms, and password authentication is one of multiple layers of security used to protect customers.â
Both banking industry regulators I spoke with said a basic problem is that many smaller institutions unfortunately still treat usernames as secret codes. I have railed against this practice for years, but far too many banks treat customer usernames as part of their security, even though most customers pick something very close to the first part of their email address (before the â@â sign). Iâve even skewered some of the airline industry giants for doing the same (United does this with its super-secret frequent flyer account number).
âI think this will be an opportunity for us to coach them on that,â one banking regulator said. âThis process has to involve random password generation and that needs to be standard operating procedure. If you can shortcut security just by supplying static data like SSN, itâs all screwed. Some of these organizations have had such poor control structure for so long they donât even understand how bad it is.â
The other regulator said another challenge is how long banks should wait before disabling accounts if consumers donât log in to the new online banking system.
âWhat theyâre going to do is set up all these users on this brand new system and give them default passwords,â the regulator said. âSome individuals will log into their bank account every day, others once a month and sometimes quite randomly. So, how are they going to control that window of opportunity? At some point, maybe after a couple of weeks, they need to just disable those other accounts and have people start from scratch.â
The first regulator said it appears many banks (and their platform providers) are singularly focused on making these transitions as seamless and painless as possible for the financial institution and its customers.
âI think theyâre looking at making it easier for their customers and lessening the fallout as they get fewer angry and frustrated calls,â the regulator said. âThatâs their incentive more than anything else.â
WHAT CAN YOU DO?
While it may appear that banks are more afraid of calls from their customers than of fallout from identity thieves and hackers, remember that you the consumer can shop with your wallet, and should move your funds to another bank if youâre unhappy with the security practices of your current institution.
Also, donât re-use passwords. In fact, wherever possible donât use passwords at all. Instead, choose passphrases over passwords (remember, length is key). Unfortunately, passphrases may not be possible because some banks have chosen to truncate passwords after a certain number of characters, and to disallow special symbols.
If youâre the kind of person who likes to use the same password across multiple sites, then a password manager is definitely for you. Thatâs because password managers pick strong, long and secure passwords for you and the only thing you have to remember is a single master password.
Please consider any two-step or two-factor authentication options your financial institution may offer, and be sure to take full advantage of that when itâs available. Also, ask your bank to require a unique verbal password before discussing any of your account details over the phone; this prevents someone from calling in to your bank and convincing a customer service rep that heâs you just because he can regurgitate your static personal details.
Finally, take steps to prevent your security from being backdoored by your mobile provider: Check out last weekâs tips on blocking mobile number port-out scams, which thieves sometimes use in cashing out hacked bank accounts.

Pinned post.
[ID: The icon for this blog, which is a black right triangle on a brown square background, with text following the diagonal of the triangle, reading, "Let irregulars enjoy fandom too.". End ID.]
Please copy and paste the image description I write into the original post for your art, rather than simply reblogging it from me. (You can also reblog it too, if you want, thought!). Plain text (what you're reading right now) is more accessbile than ALT text because tumblr is a glitched mess.
The image description should go directly below the image being described, above comments, and stay in normal sized, black text, without italics, bold, or colors. It may be indented (like above) to make it easier to distinguish from the rest of the text in the post. This is in fact more accessible.
This blog is run by @rjalker so it's easier to keep track of which Flatland art has an ID already, and so people have an easy place to find it all.
Anyone can reblog from this blog, even if I have you blocked on my main. I block people sometimes just to filter posts and then forget to unblock...RIP
Please note: I cannot describe posts with eyeburningly neon colors, flashing lights, or audio that is difficult to hear or very fast paced.
If you list your OCs names, pronouns, and shapes in the post itself, it will make it much easier for me to describe.

(The drafts consist of all of the undescribed Flatland art, and art that is described but I still have to tag, that I could find in the whole tag going back to January 2022, at which point tumblr started giving me random unrelated posts instead. Not sure if it ran out of Flatland posts, or just stops actually keeping track of tagged posts after a year...?)
Here is a link to a post with many places to read, watch, and listen to Flatland, all for free, because the book is public domain.
Very important note:
Very important edit: Ladd Ehlinger, the creator of the 2007 film thatâs free on youtube, is an extremely racist and misogynistic conservative. He made a political ad so blatantly racist and sexist that youtube has literally resstricted it, so that you canât share the link outside the site. Simply google his name and you will see dozens upon dozens of articles about how bigoted he is.
Please be aware of what kind of person made that movie when you watch it. His bigotry is baked into the movie, and is why he refused to actually do anything with the original political commentary from the book.
You are not a bad person if you already watched the movie and enjoyed it, but you do need to be aware of what kind of person made it and how that affected the movie, and make sure others are warned. He is also here on tumblr with the username filmladd. I highly recommend blocking him.

The tagging system for this blog is under the cut so this post doesn't get too long. More tags will be added as I find more art to reblog.
The tags in use so far, which I have saved to a notepad so I can just copy and paste them as needed.
Some tags are newer, so might not show up on all art! Let me know if there's any that should be added to specific posts, or if there's any tags you want to see to be able to search for!
_
please copy and paste into the original post for accessability no credit needed! It should go directly below the image and stay in regular#text without color italics or bold though you can make it indented like I have it here! Image descriptions are like subtitles for blind ppl

[ID: A screenshots of The Washington Post website, with a headline reading, "In letter, thousands of Catholic nuns declare trans people 'beloved and cherished by God'".
With a subline reading, "The letter follows a recent statement from U.S. Catholic bishops discouraging Catholic health-care groups from performing various gender-affirming medical procedures".
The article is by Jack Jenkins, and it was published March 31st, 2023, at 12:14PM EDT.
Below the text is a photo of several nuns with their hair covered standing silloweted in front of a clear blue sky and some buildings.
End ID.]
Big shout out to the coalition of Catholic nuns who just told the US bishops to stop being transphobic.
âAs members of the body of Christ, we cannot be whole without the full inclusion of transgender, nonbinary, and gender-expansive individuals,â the letter reads. It goes on to argue that âwe will remain oppressors until we â as vowed Catholic religious â acknowledge the existence of LGBTQ+ people in our own congregations. We seek to cultivate a faith community where all, especially our transgender, nonbinary, and gender-expansive siblings, experience a deep belonging.â
The letter also states transgender people are âexperiencing harm and erasureâ in various ways, listing daily discrimination, a groundswell of state-level legislation aimed at LGBTQ rights and âharmful rhetoric from some Christian institutions and their leaders, including the Catholic Church.â

[ID: A screenshot of a tweet by The Onion, reading, "Woman puts off going to doctor until disease bad enough for him to believe her", with a link: bit.ly/3m3ecc1.
below the text is a picture of a woman sitting on a couch looking uncomfortable, with a popup showing the original image had ALT text available.
The tweet was posted on March 31st 2023, at 6:45 PM, and has 532K views.
Text below the tweet reads:
"'I'd love to get an appointment soon, but it's just easier if I show up sick enough to force his hand to actually give me the correct medical care,' said Perry, adding that the last thing she wanted was to jump the gun and show up to her doctor when she wasn't actively fainting, vomiting, or bleeding, and just be shown the door.
'I could go now, but it's probably wiser to just hold off until I'm screaming in pain, unable to walk, and begging for treatment while I'm days from death's door. Even if I shiver, hyperventilate, or cry, there's absolutely no point in going unless I can actually get people's attention by passing out cold on the waiting room floor.'
Perry added that she would bide her time by taking all the painkillers she was lazily prescribed by her doctor during the last dozen visits.".

The second panel shows a box filled with black lines crossing out the inside, with the text reading, "This ugly ill-fit sohe of a language, by choice and by design I'll never be found within it."
The last panel has the text above cascading down, reading, "The colonizer took everything from me, so I will take their satisfaction and peace."
followed by an image of a person being spoken to from offscreen:

Person: "No."

not sure if this reads too bitter or at all but the older I get the harder it is to define myself in a language/culture that had (and have) a big role in destroying the ones I come from

[ID: Two images.
The first is a digital drawing of an anthropomorphic cat with large wings against an ice blue background.
The character has light grey fur and paler feathered wings, with red-pink hair and ears, with a rainbow gradient on the bangs.
They are wearing a sleeveles top that is red-pink on the top, a rainbow in the center with three hearts inside eachother, and a purple skirt with a rainbow trim. On their long fluffy tail is a rainbow bow.
They walk with a blue cane with a fish on the handle, and a wrist-string with a rainbow charm.
They are smiling happily at the camera, one hand lifted in a wave.
The second drawing shows the same character, but drawn on lined paper.
This character is the same cat, now with the fur uncolored and the wings light grey, with green and blue eyes, rainbow hair, ears, dress, and bow, with a black heart on the front of the top, black triangles inside the ears, and along the bottom of the dress.
Below them is a drawing of a fishbowl with a rainbow fish inside, and the name "Rainbow" writen below the cat with each letter a different color of the rianbow, with a black heart as the dot in the I.
Next to this is a pink heart with a smiling cat's face, and on the other side small text that says, "Memi" with an exta large I.
End ID.]

"Letter to the Person Who Carved His Initials into the Oldest Living Longleaf Pine in North America
Southern Pines, NC
Tell me what it's like to live without curiosity, without awe. To sail on clar water, rolling your eyes at the kelp reefs swaying beneath you, ignoring the flicker of mermaid scales in the mist, looking at the world and feeling only boredom. To stand on the precipice of some wild valley, the eagles circling, a herd of caribou booming below, and to yawn with indifference. To discover something primordial and holy. To have the smell of the earth welcome you to everywhere. To take it all in and then, to reach for your knife".
