Can you write something about Gigi being like absolutely obsessed with paige? like she just refuses to leave her alone and just needs to be in her bubble like skin to skin 24/7 ! I absolutely love your writing 💙
⋆ ˚。⋆୨ ʚ tyyy my loveee ɞ ୧⋆ ˚。⋆
i’m literally obsessed with the idea of paige and aniyah having their own little velcro baby
Gianni's attachment to Paige has always been strong, but lately, it seems to have intensified to an entirely new level. It's as if Gianni has decided that Paige's presence is not just a source of comfort, but a necessity for her little world to function properly.
One morning, you wake up to the sound of Gianni's giggles and babbling coming from the nursery. As you groggily make your way down the hall, you peek into the room to see Paige slumped in the rocking chair with Gianni nestled against her chest, her tiny fingers clutching onto Paige's shirt as if letting go would mean the end of the world.
"Well good morning, you two," you greet, smiling at the sight. "Looks like someone's already claimed their favorite spot."
Paige chuckles softly, her hand gently stroking Gianni's back. "Yeah, she's been like this all night. Every time I tried to put her down, she’d start fussing and crying until I picked her up again."
“Baby you can’t let her boss you around” you giggle lightly “We gotta break this habit, we talked about this”
“Can we just indulge it for today please, baby??” Paige looks up at you with puppy eyes and a pout.
You sigh, shaking your head with a smile. "Fine… but just for today.”
Paige's face lights up, and she presses a kiss to the top of Gianni's head. "Thank you. I promise we'll start tomorrow."
You can't help but laugh. "You said that yesterday."
Paige gives you a sheepish grin. "I know, but she's just so little and sweet. I can't resist her."
You move closer, reaching out to brush a hand over Gianni's soft hair. "I know, just don't let her turn you into a permanent pillow."
Paige laughs softly, her eyes twinkling with affection. "I'll try my best."
As the day progresses, Gianni remains firmly attached to Paige. Whether it's during breakfast, where she insists on sitting in Paige's lap and reaching for bits of food from her plate, or during playtime, where she refuses to engage with her toys unless Paige is right there beside her, Gianni's need to be close to her mom is unrelenting.
You watch with amusement as Paige attempts to navigate her daily tasks with Gianni practically glued to her side. Even something as simple as folding laundry becomes a challenge, with Gianni clinging to Paige's leg and refusing to let go.
"You've got yourself a little shadow," you tease, earning a playful eye roll from Paige.
"Yeah, no shit" she replies with a laugh, lifting Gianni into her arms once more. "But I can't say no to my wittle baby. She's only gonna be small once" Paige coos at Gigi, peppering her face with kisses.
As the day wears on, Paige tries to put Gianni down for her nap, but the moment she starts to walk away, Gianni's eyes snap open, and her tiny hands reach out, grabbing at the air as if trying to pull Paige back to her.
Paige sighs, giving in to the inevitable and lying down on the bed with Gianni curled up against her. Gianni immediately settles, her breathing evening out as she drifts off to sleep, her face nuzzled against Paige's chest.
You find them like that later, Paige with one arm protectively around Gianni and funnily enough— the other hand holding her Xbox controller.
You laugh at the sight, walking further into your bedroom “Havin fun?" you whisper, not wanting to disturb the peaceful scene.
Paige glances up at you, a soft smile playing on her lips. "Yeah, I’m tryin" she says, her eyes filled with love as she looks down at Gianni.
That evening, as you all settle down for dinner, Gianni remains steadfast in her determination to be as close to Paige as possible. She sits in Paige's lap, her tiny hands gripping Paige's shirt, her head resting against Paige's chest as if she couldn't be more content anywhere else.
After dinner, as you prepare Gianni for bed, the pattern continues. Paige tries to lay her down in her crib, but Gianni's eyes flutter open, and she immediately reaches out for Paige, a whimper escaping her lips.
Paige gives you a pleading look “Please, babe? Just one more night”
You roll your eyes and smile knowing she was gonna end up doing this “P no, she needs to learn how to sleep on her own”
Paige sighs, glancing down at Gianni who looks up at her with wide, tear-filled eyes. "Okay, okay, how about I stay with her until she falls asleep, and then I'll sneak out?"
You cross your arms and give Paige a stern look, but you can already feel your resolve weakening. "Fine, but this is seriously the last time."
Paige's face lights up with relief, rushing over and covering your face in kisses before she plants one on your lips. "Thank you, baby. I promise, tomorrow we'll start for real."
You nod, watching as Paige gently rocks Gianni, whispering soothing words until her eyes begin to droop. Finally, Gianni's breathing evens out, and Paige carefully lays her down in the crib, standing there for a moment to make sure she stays asleep.
As Paige tiptoes out of the nursery, you give her a playful nudge. "You know, she has you wrapped around her little finger."
Paige grins, wrapping an arm around your waist. "Yeah, well, I can't help it. We make cute babies"
You lean into her, laughing and feel a warmth spread through you as you both watch Gianni sleep peacefully from the doorway.

What are the gangs favorite type of video games to play? Weather it’s Mario, Pokémon, sports, rhythm games, horror games, etc etc.
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA. YOU ACTIVATED MY TRAP CARD!!!! Now...
Poppy prefers tabletop games more, but she can be often caught playing or seeing someone else playing The Sims. She LOVES that game - Angel has The Sims 2 installed on their computer, and when they all move to a bigger house Poppy gets her own PC so she can play TS2 as much as she wants.
Kissy doesn't play much on her own, but she really loves 3D platformers and adventure games. Her favorites are the og Spyro the Dragon trilogy! I think she loves watching others play pokémon as well.
Huggy loves racing games. Get anything with a car and he's instantly in love with it.
I can Mommy Long Legs making super over-the-top stories on The Sims 2 as well, so she and Poppy often share news of what their sims are doing. They are both active in forums and are trying to make their own custom content for the game!
Bunzo is a pokémon guy.
PJ Pug-a-Pillar doesn't like playing games in general but he LOVES watching others play, esp if there's lots of cutscenes. It's like watching a movie!
Miss Delight falls in love with Portal 2 when it's released, but I think she's really picky with her puzzle games. She likes being a bit creative on her solutions! She's also really into RPGs. I think the Fallout franchise is her comfort game.
Catnap and Craftycorn are walking Silent Hill encyclopedias, but they LOOOOVE survival horror. Catnap's fav is the original SH1, while Craftycorn loves Haunting Ground (PS2) and SH3.
Bobby on the other hand prefers Resident Evil and Clock Tower 3, but when it's not horror it's definitely a more experimental game. She cries everytime she plays Shadow of the Colossus but she loves it.
Bubba, much like Miss Delight, is SUPER into RPGs and puzzle games, but pokémon and Ace Attorney have conquered his heart. He LOOOVES gushing about it!
Picky's favorite is Animal Crossing! It makes her feel safe and she loves just walking around her town. She made a really impressive one and everyone wants updates from her villagers, Picky loves giving them.
Kickin can't get enough of any FPS or action-adventure game, and he can and WILL ragequit if he's playing online and his teammates start being rude to him or each other. Thankfully he learned really quick how to deal with the more toxic players so now he can truly relax. Unfortunately doomed to become a League of Legends player when it comes out.
Hoppy also loves FPS, but 3D platformers and open-world games are her favorites. Anything that gives her plenty of freedom to move around or just be silly immediately catches her attention! I think she becomes a Team Fortress 2 player.
Dogday prefers to watch rather than play and he gets SO invested. I think Miss Delight likes playing puzzle games with him because they figure out solutions together, but if Dogday were to chose a game for himself to play it would probably be a rythimn game. It gives him the zoomies.
The other smaller toys all have their own individual preferences, so talking about them is more complicated!
Everyone becomes obsessed with Minecraft when it's released. Catch Catnap pranking everyone on their shared beta server by pretending to be Herobrine.
When Angel gets them an Xbox 360 they have many game nights where they play on the Kinect.
Speaking of which, Angel is down to play literally everything, but all the toys know they aren't very keen on anything horror-related. Not because it's scary, it's just that Angel finds them boring after surviving Playtime Co. They probably have an encyclopedia-level knowledge of pokémon, tho.
Prototype doesn't play videogames, but enjoyes watching the others play. Just don't put ANY war games in front of him and we're all good, otherwise he stops watching.

So, the 10th Anniversary week of FNaF is over. Looking back on this franchise and how special it is to me, remembering how I became a part of the community after the first two games came out and the third one was being teased. It's still crazy to me that 10 years ago, FNaF was a horror game that was created by one man and 10 years later, FNaF is one of the biggest horror franchises in gaming history! I can remember beating the first two games on the Kindle and it was such a surreal moment, but who would have thought that there would be many sequels after the main trilogy (4-UCN), many spin-off games (World, FiS 2, FiS 3, FR), two incredible VR games, an AR game, the biggest Non-VR installment with a phenomenal DLC (SB/Ruin), tons of merchandise, countless fangames, talented people who made the greatest fansongs for the series, pillars of the community in the form of YouTubers (Markiplier, MatPat, Dawko, 8-BitGaming, FuhNaff, RyeToast, etc.), the fans, the loved composers making absolute bangers for the games and the movie(s) (Leon Riskin, Allen Simpson, A Shell In The Pit, The Newton Brothers, etc.), the many iconic characters not only created by Scott Cawthon himself, but by bigger organisations of people who made it their mission to carry on the legacy of Scott (Steel Wool Studios, Illumix, Mega Cat Studios, etc.) but also by the fans who work tirelessly to figure out the lore of the series and give characters their own style of personality, bringing life to those who seemed to have none, the insane amount of theories and headcanons within the puzzled minds of theorists and fans alike, the crazy amount of books that still wrack our brains to this day (FF, TFtP, SE trilogy, etc.), the nostalgic easter eggs hidden throughout every installment that inspired others to create their very own hoaxes to fool the community, and most importantly the massive success of the games was unexpectedly recognised when Scott was losing hope in his career when his previous game (Chipper & Sons Lumber Co.) didn't have the same effect on people that FNaF eventually would and therefore, led to the production and overwhelming success of the groundbreaking first ever FNaF movie! Seeing it in the cinema on the big screen was an incredible experience that I will never forget. It still amazes me that I went from a small Kindle screen, to an Xbox/TV screen, to a cinema screen and just thinking about the depth of it all made me emotional because I've never stopped loving and caring about this franchise. The impact of it's very existence is still unrivalled, many have tried to recreate the feel and atmosphere of the mascot horror genre that FNaF created with their own games (Poppy Playtime, Garten Of Banban, Tattletail, Bendy and the Ink Machine, etc.) Some succeeded and even became their own stand-alone franchises, of course FNaF didn't completely create the mascot horror genre, it not only reignited it but made it grow in popularity, hence the creation of many beloved fangames of the series. This is such an exciting time for the FNaF community, and I could say much more about the entirety of FNaF, but there's just simply too much of the surface to scratch. Here's to the eventful 10 years of Five Nights at Freddy's!
🎉🎂
(Below are my Mini / Plush versions of Sun and Moon. They may not be the best, but I'm still quite happy with how they turned out.)

well let it be on record that i was asked for this (insert image for ask that was send cause it got deleted somehow. the original asker has said they didnt do that so it was probably on tumblrs end. in the reblogs there will be a screenshot of the original ask)
so, most of this is gonna be out of chronological order because i cant remember the order i got a lot of these in, though i do remember the first two physicals. first one i got was pc steam version. most playtime in this one due to getting it first and still going back to it cause multiplayer is easy, and also free unlike consoles) gifted it to quite a lot of my steam friends.
then my grandad introduced me to gog (and gave me fallout 3 and nv) and i got the gog version of terraria (identical to steam except its drm free and doesnt contain any steamworks stuff like steam multiplayer (though you can direct ip connect) or steam achievements (there are ingame achievements) or steam cloud) we'll get back to this one later as i have more to say
so, onto the physical copies i will not be going in chronological order as i only remember the first two chronologically (also i will note i got the steam and gog versions before any physicals)
Nintendo Switch
so like 2 years ago now i got a switch for my birthday, first console ive ever owned (i was a pc girlie), whats the first game i get for it? Wrong! it was mario kart (thats why i wanted a switch). naturally when i got the switch it did not come with a game packed in so i ended up cycling a couple miles to go and buy mario kart. shortly after i got terraria cause hey i liked the game on pc itd be nice to play it on the go (my laptop was shit and also it stopped working properly shortly before i got my desktop pc the year before my switch). also the third game i got for it was breath of the wild which i thought was worth mentioning
Xbox 360
second one i ever got was the xbox 360. i found this while on holiday in a cex for £1.50 (same time i got botw for the switch, see i said it was worth mentioning), and thought itd be neat to start collecting terraria physical copies for all the consoles because well a £1.50 game is a good place to start. havent played it yet, only verified the disc works since i dont have an xbox 360. it was a couple months (and collected terraria copies) down the line before i decided "hey this collection is cool why dont i get the consoles to play them on and eventually 100% each of them" which lead me down buying broken consoles and repairing them which is how most consoles i own came into my possession. if theres anything notable about the repairs ill mention them alongside the game. you can clearly tell i have no plan on how this post is going im just rambling as i remember something anyways this is where things stop being chronological and im just gonna group similar consoles together, which leads us to
Xbox One
the xbox one version has two different box art variations. why do i have both despite only being able to use one at a time? because theres two of course! the later one (right) is what i got first before hunting for the second one i got (left) because the right one is more common in cex and the left more common on ebay for.... some reason i dont know. nothing much to note otherwise except 100%ing this one was a fucking pain in the arse i didnt actually do it until about 9 hours ago. id basically 100%ed it some months ago (the standard 115 ingame achievements as of 1.4.4.9), but of course the ps4 and xbox one versions dont just have the standard ingame achievements like steam has, nonono thats to easy. they have their own that are more relics from the old gen consoles (ps3/vita/xb360/wiiu), and are xbox live/psn achievements. most are unique but some are just ingame ones (but not all 115 for.... some reason). and now we get to the achievement i was never able to complete until today. pet collector. most of these were fine, easy, completed alongside the others. except pet collector. now it requires you to "get all the pets". this is thankfully untrue, it requires you to get all the pets that were in the game as of when that achievement was introduced. a few i could get easily by looking up "<pet name> seed xbox" and getting the ones from chests, the rest i just got naturally, except, the zephyr fish. random chance from fishing, if you have insane fishing power, the maximum possible in the game, it wont even hit 0.5% chance, and its lower with lower fishing power. thankful xbox one has rolling recording so i was able to quickly capture the moment that i caught it (i was checking the wiki to see if there was anything else i could do to get this fish easier, then returned to the game and caught it there and then): (there was a video here but im cutting it in the hopes that i can actually send the post. its on my blog somewhere). i had a much easier time with this achievement on ps4. speaking about playstation,
Playstation 3
ha you thought i was gonna talk about ps4 werent you, or not i dont know what youre thinking. anyways this one was another cheap one, i got the ps3 version [on the right] for about £2, checked the disc works, and i still dont have a ps3 so i havent played that yet. also found a japanese ps3 version for a couple quid that comes with inlays and all that. cant read a word but its cool to have
Playstation Vita
This was one of the more pricy versions, with it [the english version] being about £15, played on a modded vita that i bought. notable things about that vita, the rear touchpad came broken but it was just unplugged, also the previous owner didnt wipe it and their memory card was just, full of porn (no i wont share it i factory reset it all) japanese version i got from someone selling it from japan, cheaper than the english version which was pretty funny to me
Playstation 4
so. a lot here. first one i got was the (boxed) playstation hits version, which came with a... original print disc? someone somewhere has bought a ps4 original box with the playstation hits disc from a random cex in some city. maybe ill meet them some day. anyways, next i got the original print with original print disc, nothing really of note, then found out there was a newer print without playstation hits on it (this doesnt exist for xbox one i checked trust me), tracked one down and paid a surprisingly low price. it had the right disc. now the odd ones out of the ps4 lineup, the disc in the jewel case is a standalone playstation hits disc (which came as a disc i provided the case myself) because i wanted one since i got confirmation it existed after getting that middle box art variation with its own disc. now, unique thing here, its the usa version. the ps4 is region free with discs, so i could play it. but. different region versions are different applications with different save data and different achievements trackers. i have only played this one to test the disc works im not doing 102 hours all over again to 100% the american version (yeah it was about 102 hours i did on expert mode this time, plus two minutes that i went into a journey mode drunk world to get a kite since it wasnt windy at all on the main save). finally, the bonus collectors edition. this has the box ive shown in the image, plus in the plastic wrap its stealed in theres an original print of the box art in there too. inside the big box is the stickers, poster, and... drum roll please.... the terraria branded pickaxe 2gb usb-2.0 flash drive. its by itself on ebay for like £30 or more and i got this whole bundle for under £20. i do not want to break the seal just for a 2gb usb drive ill use once and never again (american one is cropped, wouldnt upload if it was separate and i cant retake the pic for reasons. i think theres an image limit? or limit for images on separate paragraphs?)
Wii U and 3DS
these were also on the more expensive side, £20 and £15 respectively. nothing much to note about the games themselves, except the wiiu version can be played with the wiiu gamepad or pro controller... and also the fuckign wii remote with nunchuck. this isnt on the wiki. if i knew how to edit the wiki page to add that control scheme in i would. discussion page on the wiki talking about it here and if anyone wants the full inputs so they can put it in PLEASE message me i just want it on the wiki. nothing much to note on the repairs for my wiiu, but the 3ds. well. lets start by the fact that i bought this during a college day when i didnt have a lecture, and one of my friends (coincidentally an ex) had their 3ds xl with them, so i asked if i could just check this game works and it did. played about 5 mins and didnt touch it again. then i bought a broken new 2ds xl off ebay. broken (i knew this) not fixable by me (i wasnt aware till i tried). big problem, it wouldnt boot and also the shoulder button switches broke off and my soldering iron is too big to fix that, and also it was homebrewed and i didnt have the original nand backup cause it wasnt mine. it rotted in my electronics drawer for about two and a half years (maybe three and a half). onto the new 3ds xl i got, the only problem with that was a nonfunctional sd card reader. hey wait a sec i have a 3ds sd card reader on an old broken 3ds (2ds xl) so i swapped those out and its worked fine since. homebrewed it and i have the nand backup for that. so this was early this year. now. lets go up to last month. ive just built a computer monitor using the lcd panel and top case from my old shit laptop, a controller board for the panel i got off aliexpress, a cardboard box to store the aforementioned controller board, the laptops charger (fit perfectly into the dc port on the controller board and also was the right voltage), and some speakers (theyre shit but they work), and thought "hey my electronics repair skills have improved, lets go back to that old new 2ds xl, i found a motherboard replacement. its also a special variant one i have so i could sell it if i wanted to make money". so i bought the motherboard (and a new volume slider cause i lost that little bit of plastic), put it all together, and it worked! it all booted up! and i was so caught up in the euphoria of all that i failed to notice that the top screen was cracked inside that i could only notice now that the rest of the console worked. back to aliexpress, new top screen arrived, some broken glass, a ripped ribbon cable (of the old top screen) and some superglue later and i have a perfectly functioning new 2ds xl. which i am not playing terraria on cause my new 3ds xl is better. but hey i can streetpass with myself now that was worth the £40 i spent on repairs
PC Collectors Edition
first one i got here was the one in the middle, backed up the bunny.exe that activates the collectors edition and then shelved it. that one and the second one i got (left) were both used and thus the steam keys were already used. the later one i got (right) is sealed (thats why i have two of the same box art). there are more i am trying to find, theres one box art variation where the orangey red info box is massive, and one where its not present at all (so yeah theres still more, theres also a japanese 3ds and wiiu version but theyre like £60 and £100 on ebay and im not spending that much on a videogame. im sure the fact im specifying videogame will not come up later) its good, if you can get a good deal on one and want the bunny pet id say its worth it, though since all the exe does is change 1 bit in the registry its easy enough to manually do it even if you dont have the physical collectors edition if you know what youre doing (and on linux and mac you have to do it manually as theres no linux/mac versions of the script) speaking of linux like i did in the brackets, theres a fun bug where mouse4 and mouse5 cant be assigned ingame and arent registered at all which sucks cause i used those to grapple and quick mount. naturally using the windows version via proton does fix this, but provides us with fun new bugs such as all key presses in text boxes are doubles so trying to type anything including world seeds eennddss uupp lliikkee tthhiiss and also steam overlay is just completely broken, though i did find a fna update script for the linux port that updates the engine allowing mouse4 and mouse5 to be used, i got it off github somewhere.
now thats all the game versions, lets move on to some other cool stuff. firstly (and no pic for this because the frame i got makes any pictures look complete pants but its sick as fuck in person) is the "heroes of terraria" poster from the terraria.shop site, also some pins from the same site which i keep on a cork board thing on my wall next to the transgender tardis dr who pin i got, plus a hoodie (the world of terraria one in green and gold) plus some tshirts (like 4 of them, one was a heroes of terraria on a tshirt). theyre cool but you know whats cooler?
Terraria Official Handbooks
if youre my age or a bit older (or a bit younger i dont know) you might remember those minecraft handbooks. well, around 2015 terraria got their own for version 1.3.0.8. these arent really wiki replacements, and i think theyre aware of that (hell they even link to the wiki, and being 2015 they link to the official gamepedia one (before fandom fucked it up) and the unofficial wikia one (which i think became fandom. fuck that website. use the wiki.gg wiki its the new official one)), theyre more "hey show this to someone to get them into the game like a parent or friend or other person". theyre pretty cool, i got the bundle of these for quite cheap in very good condition, i did give them all a read through and you can tell theyre 1.3.0 guides, theres a LOT thats changed. maybe after 1.4.5 relogic will commission more? id like that but then again we have a wiki thats very comprehensive so i doubt it and now one more thing what i would personally consider the pride of my collection the single item i am most proud to have yes, even more so than handbooks and sealed game copies let me show you:
Terraria OST Vinyl
this released in 2021 (and as a result only has the first four volumes, also unrelated to the time it doesnt have the otherworld ost, related to the time it means theres no deerclops and no aether, and no 11 or more tracks that are coming in 1.4.5 which will presumably become volume 5. will they do a reissue of the vinyl if that happens? my wallet hopes not) and is SO EXCEEDINGLY RARE i have only seen a handful of listings, going for £150/160. until i found one for about £100 so i didnt think i just clicked buy and id personally say it was worth it due to rarity and being also SEALED so i havent touched the seal on that (i also dont have a vinyl player and i ripped the .wav files from the game files (i also paid for the .mp3 files from steam) so i dont really need to use the vinyl), and i really wanna get it framed. honestly this is just the thing im most proud of having. anyways i said id get back to the pc version (i think) so now im gonna mention the gog version
GoG.com
gog.com is a website (woah) that sells exclusively drm-free games. tl;dr if you have downloaded the games backup installer (or installed the game from them its still drm free) they cannot do SHIT you OWN that thing you can do whatever you like. install it on one of your pcs. install it on every pc you own. steam wont let you use windows 7 now? thats cool i can use the gog offline backup installer on any os (that the game itself supports). why am i mentioning this? well i thought itd be cool to collect backup installers. downloading them whenever new versions drop (was only really doing it with windows until last year so i only downloaded 1.4.4.9v4 on other oses myself) but i only started playing on steam with 1.4.0.5, and gog with 1.4.1 or 1.4.2 i cant remember which, how can i get older versions now? i can only download the latest version via gog, plus patch exes to patch older versions to slightly less old versions given that i already have older versions, and even then i can only currently download patches for 1.4.4.8 and onwards (i was grabbing patches as i went). so i contacted gog support. they were able to give me linux, windows, and macos backup installers for 1.3.5.3 and 1.4.0.5, which was very cool and 1.3.5.3 was one of the two versions i most cared about since they were right before 1.X.0.0 updates. the other being 1.2.4.1, since gog terraria did release with that version as the first one it released with. even going back to support a year later going "hey i was allowed access to older ones before, do you have 1.2.4.1?" and they could only give me 1.3.5.3 and 1.4.0.5 (and the latest version direct from gog.com being 1.4.4.9v4). so began my hunt. eventually finding the gog version of 1.2.4.1 lying around on the internet archive (thank you internet archive youre a real one), alongside a couple other misc versions i didnt have. i also found a couple i had to torrent (i wish gog let me have them all so i didnt have to resort to pirating a game i paid for but media preservation is at the heart of piracy so thank you media preservers youre also real ones. that includes internet archive im thanking you twice), so bringing me to now where i have basically every 1.4.4.x on windows, a handful of 1.4.x.x on windows, and 1.4.4.9v4, 1.4.0.5, and 1.3.5.3 on all platforms, and 1.2.4.1 on windows (linux/mac didnt get native versions till the beta on 1.3.0.7 and then fully on 1.3.0.8) oh i also have the mobile version but theres nothing really interesting of note there. switch versions better portably (and steam deck too)
and thats my full collection basically. at some point im hoping to get the 2 collectors edition box arts i dont have and 2 japanese game versions i dont have, but waiting for listings to show up online/reasonable prices respectively. if youve made it to the end of this... well done. maybe in the future ill talk about my dr who dvd collection, or the turnip boy robs a bank wii version i have (its real only haters will say its fake). anyways post ended thats all i can think to talk about.
#terraria#that was a fuckin long one#congratulations if you read it all#ive also got a world ive had for 4 years that ive been adding on to which might be a fun thing to make a post about#i also have a post about steam workshop content for terraria i made cause someone asked#if someone asks me something about something im interested in ill probably make another post like this#so#if you want that by all means go ahead#anyways im ending this here cause tumblr is breaking whenever i try sending this#also this took like an hour and a half to type out#and a further half an hour figuring out why tumblr broke trying to send it

16. Little Kitty Big City
Release: 2024, PC/Switch/Xbox One/Xbox Series Beaten: May 16, Xbox Series S (Game Pass) Playtime: 4h 24m (Main+), 7h 43m (100%)
I don't really know where to begin for this one.
Little Kitty Big City is a good game. It's not perfect, but it's fun and, overall, quite good. My enjoyment of the game stems a lot from the circumstances of the time when I played it. My cat had just passed away the same day I began my playthrough.
Jupiter was a naughty boy in his life, and LKBC let me play as a cute, sweet, loved, and naughty cat. I contextualized the entire game through the love for my cat who was no longer around. It was like I was playing with him again.
I could probably write a lot more about Little Kitty Big City. I could talk about what it does right, what it does wrong. I could talk more about Jupiter, about the complex emotions brought up by seeing him manifest on screen as a black kitty. But I don't really want to. I've been tired and sad, and this game simply provided me with some joy and catharsis at a time where it was sorely needed. I will be forever thankful that a team put so much love into this game and then that it reached me at exactly the right time.
Sleep well, Jupiter.

8, 23, 82
8. movies or tv shows? hmm, i'd say tv shows but i've only watched a few that aren't anime, not much for live action at least (until i watched brba/bcs lmao)
23. strange habits? i like to chew on things... like plastic bottle caps or pens or whatnot. also i keep one eye closed almost permanently cus i can't use both at the same time so it always looks like im winking. less of a weird habit and more of how i cope with a disability but yeah lol
82. pc or console? console. idk i grew up with loads of consoles from the gbc until now, had pretty much all of them (except xbox) and even now when i'm primarily on my PC the games i play are more often just emulated 1990s-2000s games. my steam library has barely any playtime in comparison to how much i've spent alone on my switch, or any other console for example.

In light of the dumbfuck wizard game being released, today I'm gonna take some time to tell y'all about a game you should play instead. Now, fair heads up the game i will be talking about has absolutely nothing in common with antisemitism simulator 2023, so if you're looking for a different and better wizard game, not made by terrible people (as far as i know) I'll get to that in a different post when i feel like it.
Also, quick heads up I've never written something like this before, so it's probably just gonna feel like me saying "Dude go play this game!!!" Repeatedly, and basically be one long tangent. It's less of a review and more just a plea to your emotions.
Anyway, I'm gonna talk about Hi-Fi Rush by Tango Gameworks.
So Hi-Fi Rush came out January 25th of this year (2023), and you probably heard of it. If you have, go play it cause it's worth it.
If you haven't heard of it, the best way i can sell this game to you is to tell you to give this trailer a watch. If you're the target audience, you'll certainly know.
youtube
Ok, so beyond the trailer, what is this game? Well, it's an entirely single-player 3d platformer with Devil May Cry or Metal Gear Rising: Revengence style character action combat that's full of collectibles to find and challanges to complete. The kicker is that all the combat is synced to the beat of the game's soundtrack. Hell, the entire world of the game is synced to the beat. If you're the kinda person who, when you're listening to music, tends to tap your foot or bop your head along to the beat, this game is made for you. The combat is exceptionally fun, and once you get in the rhythm of each level's soundtrack, you'll be vibing hard.
Beyond the combat, this game is unabashedly, unironically, 100% sincerely joyful in its characters, its story, and its world. In my current 14 hours of playtime (which is how long 1 completion of the story took me), i could not stop smiling. It feels like a game made by people who truly love what they created and had fun creating it! I won't get into the story of this game as, if my rambling has somehow convinced you to give it a crack, i don't want to ruin the experience for you. All I will say is that it feels like you're playing an old Saturday morning cartoon in the best possible way!
As for performance, for me, this game is polished to the 9s. Absolutely no crashes, graphical hiccups, or bugs of any sort. Which, for a modern game, is genuinely surprising (as it seems that most modern games are just thrown out the door once they're relatively playable, but that's a rant for another time)
Alright, brass tacks. Where can you play this, and how is it monetized. Hi-Fi Rush is available on Xbox and Steam and for a well worth it $30 USD for the base game, or $40 USD for the deluxe edition (or your regional equivalent) which includes a handful of in game cosmetics and a bunch of the games upgrade currency called gears. Now, it should be noted that the amount of gears you get is the equivalent to about the amount of gears you would collect in the playing of one of the games levels. It's a drop in the bucket for the amount of gears you'd collect overall from playing the game, and there are no other ways to buy gears with real money. Buying the deluxe edition feels very much like the devs saying,
"Hey! Thanks for the extra bit of support! Here's some fun cosmetics and a small head start to really get you into the meat of our combat system!"
The "base game" is very much you just buying the game on offer, and none of said game is locked behind the deluxe edition.
I realize how defensive i sound about this games monetization. I just know that a lot of people are rightfully wary about companies being shitty so I'm just trying to provide as much information to you as i can.
There are no micro-transactions, no season pass, and no corporate bullshit with Hi-Fi Rush.
To steal a line I liked from one of the steam reviews,
"They made a Video Game in 2023. They don't make Video Games anymore."
And that's what Hi-Fi Rush is. An honest to god video game made to be enjoyed for as long as someone wants and to be put down once you are no longer having fun. It tries to keep you having legitimate fun for as long as it can, through its music or through perfecting its combat system, or through searching out collectibles or challenging yourself in it's, well, challenge mode. But once you put it down and let it sit for a while, if you eventually come back to it (and it seems to me the game does hope you will come back) everything will be right where you left it, and ready to play again!
I love this game. I love this game in a way where it's gonna stick with me for a good long while, and i want others to play it and hopefully love it too. Don't get me wrong, this isn't some little hidden gem indie game that no one has heard of. It was shown off during xbox's own big showcase for christ sake and is published by Bethesda! Hi-Fi Rush has done well as far as I'm aware, especially for a game with basically no marketing budget that was announced and released in the same afternoon!
So why am i shilling for a goddamn Microsoft backed game?
Because this game loves the fact that it's a video game. It loves the fact that it's cheesy as hell; one might even say cringy; but it knows that, and it leans into that and says
"Yeah we're cheesy as fuck! But who cares! Get in here a pretend to be a Rockstar!"
It's just a fun game with a surprisingly sincere story.
Also, for those of you who would care and attribute any meaning to this name, Shinji Mikami is an executive producer.
To cut myself off from any more repetitive rambling, I'll finish off by saying if you have any questions, feel free to ask!
TL:DR of main points:
Play Hi-Fi Rush instead of dumbfuck wizard game
it's a single-player 3d platformer with character action combat that synced to the beat of the soundtrack and feels like you're playing a Saturday morning cartoon
the story is very cheesy, and very sincere, and very fun!
it's on xbox or steam for base $30 USD, or $40 USD for deluxe edition (or regional equivalent)
deluxe edition is basically a thanks from the devs for your extra support.
Shinji Mikami is involved.
I hope you enjoy it as much as i have!

fuckit i bought xbox copy of wallace & gromit curse of the were rabbit bc really struggling with getting the ps2 emulator to make it behave correctly and idk when my actual ps2 will ever get fully functional again and my xbox 360 works fine and a preowned xbox copy of game was only 15 bucks w/original case, manual, and confirmed tested&working disc. i miss playing that game so much and even tho it's gonna be uncomfortable to play bc of my wrist, it's pretty relaxed and not super button mashy so i can probably get more playtime out of it in one sitting. also when i was playing on ps2 emulator i noticed how a lot of the pest control stuff can be accomplished just by herding the creatures to the bun-vac drains (left analog stick) instead of using the bun-gun to individually catch and release each (r1 to suck/square to shoot) and there weren't many moments of repeatedly having to press buttons or hold multiple inputs at once on the right side. idk man i just miss playing videogames and my nostalgia for this particular game has been activated in full force i want to play it again and feel comfy for a while

2022 Games of the Year
Hello everyone! 2022 is officially in the can, so it's time for me to rank my top 10 favorite games that I played this year. Here are the groundrules:
Any game I played and finished (whatever that means for each game) this year for the first time. Games that I have played before but only finished this year for the first time are eligible.
If I don't finish a game during the year, as long as I finish it before the end of January and a majority of the playtime was in the last year, it counts.
Ports, remasters, and alternate editions of a game count as the same game, but full remakes do not.
Only one game per series. Same franchise but different series is okay.
Without further ado, let's take a look at my favorites this year!
10. Resident Evil Village (2021)
Genre: Survival Horror Developer: Capcom Publisher: Capcom System Played On: PS5
Everyone's favorite giant undead mommy makes 2021's followup to Resident Evil VII a chilling adventure. Unfortunately, I wish Lady Dimitrescu and her mansion comprised more of the game, instead of being relegated to merely the first third. However, we did get the genuinely horrifying basement area immediately after. All in all, a fun survival horror romp that brings Ethan Winters's story to a close. I'm excited to see what the Resi franchise does next, as it's clear they've got their mojo back.
9. Catherine Fullbody (2019)
Genre: Puzzle Developer: Atlus Publisher: SEGA System Played On: PS5
In this enhanced port of 2011's romantic survival puzzle game from Atlus (the creators of the Shin Megami Tensei franchise and the Persona series), you guide the hapless Vincent as he navigates the perilous waters of romance in the waking world and a devious climb up a wall of blocks each night in the dream world. While I hated Vincent at first, I liked that he can be redeemed by the end, based on your choices. The puzzle gameplay is also incredibly deep and punishing on harder difficulties. Unfortunately the game waits way too long to actually teach you proper strategies, but it's still fun nonetheless. The story has many more twists and turns than you would expect from the premise, too, and even includes some not-horrible queer representation, to my utter astonishment.
8. Final Fantasy VII Remake (2020)
Genre: Action RPG Developer: Square Enix Business Division 1 Publisher: Square Enix System Played On: PS5
I've been a casual fan of FFVII for years now, and this year I finally got around to playing the remake after a replay of the original. While there are a few rough edges (unnamed NPCs all have the exact same face, for example), it's a really fun take on the FFVII story that really digs deep on some of the plot points that went by a little quick in the original. Of course, this only covers the events in Midgar in the beginning of the original game, and a sequel is due to follow someday. Most notably, Remake makes changes to the story that has me eager to see where it will lead. The action combat is fun as well, and I enjoyed being able to control and customize all the main characters.
7. Eastward (2021)
Genre: Adventure Developer: Pixpil Publisher: Chucklefish System Played On: Xbox Series X
Eastward is an incredibly moving adventure game starring John, the silent-but-reliable protagonist, and Sam, his mysterious child sidekick, as they make their way inexorably eastward across a land ravaged by a mysterious Miasma, meeting all sorts of wacky people who are doing their best to survive. The game features a Zelda-like play style, but with an art style and melancholy tone that occasionally can be quite humorous reminiscent of Mother 3. The game is gorgeous, charming, and often heartbreaking. Unfortunately, I found the story was a tad on the obtuse side, and I wished the ending and some of the behind-the-scenes events had been explained a bit more clearly.
6. Pokémon Violet (2022)
Genre: Monster RPG Developer: Gamefreak Publisher: Nintendo System Played On: Switch
While I also finally played the previous generation's Sword version this year, I thought Violet (my choice of the two versions) edged it out. I want to say up-front, yes, it definitely has its faults. The game looks and runs like hot garbage, especially compared to other games on this list, and is sorely lacking post-game content, being the first Pokémon game in recent memory without a Battle Tower or equivalent. However, the open-world format, while a bit clumsy, fits the franchise well, and there are some honest-to-Arceus good story moments in these games, especially in the endgame. While the game could have benefited from an extra year of development and a more powerful console, I think it's still worth playing and beating.
5. Persona 4 Golden (2012)
Genre: JRPG Developer: Atlus Publisher: SEGA System Played On: PC/Steam Deck
While I had played the original Vita version of P4G, I'm ashamed to say that I never actually finished! This year, I spent a ton of time getting to 100% completion across three playthroughs. While the game's abysmal handling of multiple queer characters is just as if not more painful today, I found the game to be a ton of fun, as protagonist Yu must investigate a series of paranormal murders in the small fictional Japanese pastoral town of Inaba, recruiting the help of eccentric classmates to infiltrate a bizarre TV world and rescue potential victims. Along the way you learn to use the various small-town amenities to aid you in your quest and become friends (and maybe even lovers) with various townsfolk. Compared to the later Persona 5, and especially Persona 5 Royal, I found P4G to be less hand-holding, trusting me more as a player to plan my limited time and resources. If you're a fan of JRPGs, Persona, or Shin Megami Tensei, this is a must-play.
4. Lost Judgment (2021)
Genre: Action Developer: Ryu Ga Gotoku Studio Publisher: SEGA System Played On: PS5
2021's sequel to the Yakuza/Like A Dragon spinoff Judgment sees us once more follow loose cannon detective Yagami as he investigates a series of murders with strange connections to both a high school in Yokohama as well as a bizarre sexual harassment case in Shinjuku. As before, Yagami investigates by interviewing witnesses, following targets, and using a host of high-tech detective tools to find the truth. Of course, his fists and feet are also just as valuable, with the Yakuza franchise's staple brawling combat across multiple fighting styles in huge open cities. Also as expected of the Yakuza franchise, there is a king's ransom of side content both serious and lighthearted, particularly in the new school clubs which Yagami can participate in, from a skateboarding club where Yagami does his best Tony Hawk impression, to a robotics club where you take place in a strategic battle of the bots. My only gripe is that this sequel feels a bit less personal to the main characters, leaving Yagami feeling a bit like an outsider through the whole story, but still a great game that innovates on the Yakuza franchise.
3. Super Lesbian Animal RPG (2022)
Genre: RPG Developer: Ponett (@slarpg) Publisher: Ponett System Played On: PC/Steam Deck
You ever have a story that comes out of nowhere and jaw-punches you with just how made-for-you it feels? While SLARPG may seem like just a cutesy RPG-maker game at first blush, this indie darling full of strong, complex, queer female characters really had me feeling seen as a queer female gamer, myself. The story is a heartwarming modern fantasy that focuses a ton on flawed characters learning to grow emotionally under the pressure of having to save the world. In addition, the combat system has a ton of unexpected depth with unique character abilities plus interchangeable spellbooks that each have their own abilities. Also, finally a game that will let the lesbians kiss! Ye gods that was so satisfying. My only complaints with the game are some inevitable RPG Maker jank (as a recovering RPG Maker veteran, myself), and the fact that the short-but-sweet runtime has left me rabid for more!
2. Digimon Survive (2022)
Genre: Tactical RPG/Visual Novel Developer: Hyde Publisher: Bandai Namco System Played On: PC/Steam Deck
Digimon fans (of which I include myself) have been clamoring for a really good game for decades now, and I personally think Survive is it. The game features a cast of middle schoolers (notably older than Digimon's normal heroes) who find themselves stuck in a strange alternate world inhabited by spiritual monsters called Kemonogami (the titular Digimon), and must fight for their very survival and a chance to return home. The game's dark tone and moments of character growth were extremely moving and refreshing for Digimon, which usually caters to a much younger audience. Some may not care for the extensive Visual Novel content for the story or the tactics-lite combat system, but I found them both to be engaging, and I enjoyed both befriending all the characters and recruiting all monster species. The game has multiple endings to explore as well, the true ending only available on NG+. However I kind of felt like it made the alignment-based endings feel a bit moot. Still, this game is a triumph for the Digimon franchise and I really hope we'll see a Survive 2 someday.
Honorable Mentions
Before we get to the #1 spot, I'd like to take a moment to highlight some other games I played this year, from smaller indies to larger games that didn't quite make the cut, but still are worthy of your time:
Grapple Dog (PC) - Fun GBA-style action platformer with cute characters.
Echo Generation (Xbox) - Stranger Things-esque voxel RPG with tons of lo-fi 80s vibe.
Elec Head (PC) - Indie puzzle platformer where you toss around your battery-powered head to solve electricity puzzles.
Shin Megami Tensei IV (3DS) - Main-series SMT monster RPG with mind-bending story and world where you're forced to choose between law and chaos, but neither choice is truly right.
Persona 4 Arena Ultimax (PC) - Arcade fighter sequel to both Persona 3 and Persona 4 with a surprisingly deep and emotional story.
Shantae and the Seven Sirens (PC) - Indie darling Shantae is back on another adventure platformer on a sprawling island home to seven titular sirens who have gone missing.
Super Kiwi 64 (PC) - Tiny retro 3D collect-a-thon featuring a zippy little kiwi bird.
Rainy Season (PC) - Tiny story based game about being stuck inside your small Japanese house as a kid during a rainy day and using your imagination.
Lunistice (PC) - Retro 3D platformer with tons of PS1-era charm.
Crisis Core Reunion (PS5) - Remake of Final Fantasy VII's PSP prequel Crisis Core on modern consoles. Looking very smooth, but the new voice acting is a toss-up at best and still relies too heavily on the same grindy missions as the handheld original.
Civilization VI (PC) - I finally got into CivVI this year and may have developed an unhealthy addiction to this turn-based civilization building strategy icon.
The Complex: Found Footage (PC) - This creepy short walk through the infamous Backrooms is sure to send a chill down your spine.
And at last, here's the (probably unsurprising) game of the year!
1. Elden Ring (2022)
Genre: Action RPG Developer: FromSoftware Publisher: Bandai Namco System Played On: Xbox Series X
As someone who is already a die-hard Souls fan, this is really a no-brainer. Elden Ring takes the legendary Souls formula and blasts it open to a massive open world. Somehow, eleven years after Skyrim started the open world craze, in an era where such games are passé, Elden Ring manages to create a triumph of tough-but-fair combat, deeply detailed vertical level design, and a subtle-but-deep world and lore. I've sunk hundreds of hours into this masterpiece of a game across multiple different playthroughs, each somehow still fresh and fun. This game will be a huge icon for many years to come, especially if From decides to create some DLC down the line.
So what do you think? Do you agree with my picks? Think some other games should be on the list? What were your favorite games this year? Let me know~!

Check it out, guys! I have a new game in my Xbox One that serves as my extra special Christmas present; Trolls Remix Rescue!!! 🤩💖💙🎶🎵🎶
Here in this game, you can play as our beloved favorite Trolls that includes Poppy, Branch, Guy Diamond, Viva, John Dory, Floyd and your own Trollsonas as you explore every area of the Troll Kingdom as long as you like! 😁
There is also an option to customize your Trollsonas to make them look like your own fanmade OCs and includes fun rhythm minigames such as hitting arrows while the Troll you are playing as dances and competing against Queen Barb in a guitar brawl. (Sorry if I couldn’t show what the former looks like because it requires letting go of my camera as I played that... 😓)
According to this map, it seems like there are only four areas of the kingdom that can be accessible to explore such as Pop Village, Volcano Rock City, Symphonyville and Vibe City, but they’ve excluded Techno Reef and Lonesome Flats in here! 😢
In case you were wondering who I’m playing as in the pics about the game that I took, I’m playing as my sweet lovable Branch because it allows me to play the Troll that I loved most! 😍💙
What do you think about this new Trolls video game? This one is definitely my new dream life and I love it so much that I had to play it for the next 24 hours! It looks so fun to play, and why don’t you have it yourself if you find this interesting? 🥰😍💖💙
Furthermore, I think I needed a strategy guide on how to earn all of the sticker achievements in this game because there is no YouTube video explaining on how to get them. 🤔
For more information of this game, check out this website. 😊

The games I played and adored in 2022
This bite-sized piece will include only a couple of sentences as an introduction to the games I checked out in 2022, which means that a game does not need to be released in 2022 per se. 2022 was a packed year for gaming, so many games that were intended to be developed and published before got delayed a year or two due to shutdowns and quarantine measures during the pandemic. And here we are, at the end of 2022, we find ourselves having played dozens of games, reading countless newspieces, reading and scrolling down reviews, first impressions and such.
I will break down this list into genres for easier navigation, I will not, naturally, include every single game I ‘liked’, I want this list to be a…some sort of guide as to open doors to genres you that you might not check out yourself usually.
RPG
Disco Elysium (The Final Cut)
Developed and Published by ZA/UM
This game deserves its own full-fledged deep-down analysis and review of all games. Imagine a detective-cop game with the smoothest and darkest narrative and mysterious fictional world with superb drawing style, in which you find yourself pulled to the environments, and getting familiar with each and every major or minor character. Disco Elysium is not for fainthearted, it is not a ‘game’, it is an ‘experience’ which will stick to you even when you are not playing it or after having played it. You will never look at narrative games the same following this game. The game received full voice-over in 2021, making it a masterpiece in acting in every possible way.
youtube
Mass Effect: Legendary Edition
Developed by BioWare
Published by EA
youtube
Mass Effect is a behemoth in RPG and space-opera genres. When I saw that ME trilogy got remastered for modern consoles and hardware I was sceptical at first because I do not consider myself an RPG person, yet I was surprised and excited at this excellent narrative-driven RPG. ME has been considered a legendary (aptly named) franchise ever since the first game was released back in 2007 on PS3 and Xbox 360. The playtime this remastered trilogy offers is over 100 hours (personally I completed the trilogy in 89 hours, not finishing all the quests, side missions) during which you’ll find yourself captivated in life of Shepard, wandering around the Milky Way in dozens of locations, will become acquainted with people at unexpected moments.
Puzzle
Gorogoa
Developed by Jason Roberts
Published by Annapurna Interactive
Taking puzzle genre to the next level with game mechanics that I did not see anywhere before. The game lasts around 3 hours, and the best compliment I can make for a game is saying ‘I finished this game in one sitting!’. For a game that relies on player’s interaction and pace, Gorogoa never skips a beat with its own unique story-telling approach and top-quality puzzles.
youtube
Point-and-Click Adventure
To my surprise, I checked out two phenomanol point-and-click titles this year, a genre that I am particularly keen of, yet both of which exceeded my expectations and left me craving for more. Both titles feel and play excellently, the intracate and detailed stories will take you on a journey.
NORCO
Developed by Geography of Robots
Published by Raw Fury
The pixelated style fits this game on a different level, with its character designs, surroundings, menus and dialogue windows, NORCO keeps everything in a straight path in an ever-growing and -developing plot. The game is set in Norco, Louisana in somewhat 80s. This mystery/investigative adventure offers peak narrative quality accompained by dark, gloomy and murky voiceover.
youtube
Pentiment
Developed by Obsidian
Published by Xbox Game Studios
Set in Upper Bavaria, Germany in 16th century, Pentiment is where you roleplay as Andreas Maler, an illustrator apprentice in an abbey in this small town named Tassing. Andreas, or rather you, find yourself entangled with the death of an aristocrat followed by even more mysterious events and happenings. The game combines a genre and setting I never experienced before, this Renaissance setting is enhanced by a glossary (of information about famous people, locations, books, scripts and incidents of that time) which helps the player getting familiar with what is talked and discussed among characters not only politically and socially but also matters of religion. The drawing style and dialogue windows received overwhelming positive reviews across the board, for example, in the dialogue window what a character says displays but there’s twist, the font type differs from character to character depending on background, personality, level of education, whether they are common people or people related to the abbey, they are printing press workers.

Also, if you feel bad or weird about this: I read once (I love productivity self-help books, they're soothing) that the most successful people play hard, and that is the thing that separates the economic elites. Their golf days are sacred and not to be brushed off by anyone or anything. The President of the United States needs neurosurgery? Fuck you, schedule it Monday, Sunday I got golf.
I have a friend who's a doctor, husband, and soon to be father and he is AT DnD night and he is DRAWING his bara OCs; without fail. If you have a high pressure job (by that I don't mean exclusively that you're a CEO, I also mean like waiting tables, that's a hell of a job) then your playtime is HOLY. Treat it that way to the extent that you are able.
I came up with the early morning method while working a pretty punishing labor job, because I figured out that if I tried to shunt off all my playtime until after work I just...wouldn't have any playtime, just zoning out. I'd be so tired after work that I'd go to bed after dinner and chores at like 7:30 at latest and wake up at 2 or 3, and then it was Xbox and writing and painting for me until I came in, and I was the only guy who wasn't sobbing into his coffee, because I knew sleepy me time wasn't quality me time and I needed the quality version. Sleepy me is for vacuuming, not fun. And I was damn good at what I did back then. Loved my job and was nowhere near burnout. So if you want to be a hard worker, your playtime needs to be priority number one. Fact.
no but guys actually. how do you have a full time job and also have hobbies

Midnight Gaming: Untitled Zombie Game
So I played Stubbs the Zombie past midnight, checked socials to find.... not much to talk about that isnt just bad news... so lets skip the news for the day.
Its a lovely day in Punchbowl and you are a horrible zombie
So Stubbs the Zombie in Rebel without a Pulse was a game released in 2005 for og xbox and pc, got average reviews and has been remastered and released by aspyr media for modern platforms. I enjoyed this game on the old pc version mainly cause it was game where you played as a zombie eating the brains of the living and growing your own horde. So seeing it get a remaster and available to folks nowadays is very nice to see.
So yeah, you mostly eat brains and make it through levels which are mostly linear with some open sections but for the most part you are more or less being directed foward. And of course as you eat brains, former humans become zombie allies that can assist in some ways, you can have them go forward and soak up bullets as you follow behind letting you close the distance and they can distract enemies while you flank and get them from behind for a backbite. You can also whistle at zombies you're looking at to get them to head towards you like some sort of grim version of pikmin. It certainly looks like it when I see my zombros swarm someone.
A lot of the voicework in this game is also just great, given its trying to go for a comedic vibe it does help with the dark theme of devouring people. Hearing folks panic and exclaim "eating brains is way not cool daddy-o" or "dont eat me no no noooo" does gets a dark chuckle from me. It might be why the game takes place in a retro future city in the 50s just for the sake of the comedy. You have barbershop singers on jetpacks using rayguns while singing about killing the zombies. How the hell did this get average reviews???
Of course since you're a zombie yourself, you dont have access to guns or weapons but you do have some abilties to help you out. For one being your ability to regenerate health which also doubles as a narrative reason for how your abilties work. Your gut grenade is your best ability having a max of 3 charges and lets you throw a major organ at enemies that can stick onto them and can be detonated at your command. Your very own hand can be thrown and controlled, giving you an opportunity to possess nearby humans. Grab someone with a gun and you can start shooting at their former allies and help clear out several threats. Since your hand ability is the easiest to recharge, it can be a pretty effective ability especially on the insane difficulty. Your head can be used like a bowling ball and rolled towards groups which can damage and infect enemies it rolls into and of course it explodes too. And finally, you can fart which is generally useful to stun groups of nearby enemies opening them up to be feasted on.
A lot of the strong points of this game is leading a horde of zombies, dealing with enemies you come across and taking out priority targets that can be a hassle to your undead buddies. Thing is there are some issues with the game mainly due to its length. A normal run for me lasted 4 hours according to my steam playtime so it ends up feeling a bit short. Sometimes when you end up stunning an enemy and go for a brain dinner, you end up tearing their arm off to use as a weapon because whoops you were beside them and got a different prompt, which can be useful at damaging but eating brains is how you're able to recharge your abilties so this gets kinda annoying at times. Also that simon says boss battle at the police station.... went on for too long and it sucks.
Speaking of that boss battle, the game uses some newer versions of old 50's songs such as earth angel, mr sandman and lollipop. Im gonna leave a link to that so you can go hear it if you want.
Honestly, i dont see much games that let you play as a zombie and cause havoc. Theres games where you create or control a horde of zombies like infectionator, games that are versus zombie players that you end up joining when you die like zombie panic or games that just has you play an undead character but not causing an apocalypse like medievil or sonny. Theres gotta be some other game where you play as a zombie leading an outbreak on humanity like a reverse dead rising. I feel like a lot of Stubbs is a game that has only scratched the surface of what it was trying to present and it be great to see more of that explored and built upon in a sequel, in a literal or spiritual sense.
So thanks for reading todays midnight gaming. Feel free to leave feedback and game suggestions. See you all tomorrow.

Ive done it. Its game over.
Theres still a few quests that come after, loose ends to tie and maps to fill. Nevermore, for one.
But i have done it. I have finished the main story of Ni No Kuni Wrath of the White Witch. I have just short of 90 hours of playtime.
Casseopia is saved, the world is saved, Shadar is long since defeated, Oliver is happy. I am happy.
This is very sappy. That is because this game means an inumerable amount in my heart, its something very key that ill never forget and something ive loved since before i got it. I found about it through a boring day where i went on boring old youtube to look at the boring old videos. And i found some that were 3 or so years old at the time and i fell in love with it. I begged for the game to play myself. Got it on switch years later and gave up at a bossfight i couldnt beat. Got it on xbox maybe 3, 4 years after that and got further, but ended up with a good few months break off it. And when i picked it back up again i remember that finnicky and vaguely annoying fighting mechanic almost immediately. And i threw myself into it in the past 6 months or so after getting it back again.
And i think ill play it again when im done. Havent seen the beginning in a while.
#hello hellsite#so sorry for the long sappy rant#i have a habit of pulling things very close to my heart#this is one of those times#i adore this darn video game more than i can truly express#and im sorry to anyone who doesnt care or the like#but i care a lot#and i honestly made this post more for me than anyone#so i can find it and remember the first time i finished this story#because this probably wont be the last of times#ni no kuni: wrath of the white witch#nnkwotww#ni no kuni
