Marcoh punched the shit out of the moon after an entire night of running, killing moonscorched contestants, dying, rinse and repeat.

I hadn't played this maso run (my first and only experience of it, and I have to thank Dark Raccoon on yt for the build he shared that made the end a little bit easier, but I don't want to ever play this mode again)

Totally termina playtine. I have already completed a Daan A ending run and Marina B in easy mode, as well as an Abella Saves Everyone ending in normal difficulty mode. I've also reached ending C but I don't remember with which character.

So, a lot of hours already.

But I guarantee you

I GUARANTEE YOU

That at least 40 of these 70 hours were spent on this goddamn maso run. I love this game but sometimes it triggers my obsessive tendencies hard, especially when I can see the ending RIGHT THERE and then a fucking random enemy kills me and I have to try again and again and AGAIN.

Maso mode experience was like that. Especially when the game randomly crashed just as I was this close to a save point so I had to start from a previous save that was several enemies and locations earlier. I was THIS close to installing Dark Raccoon's infinite save mod but in the end I managed without.

Fuck this game.

Fuck pocket cat's stupid attack that sometimes just hits and kills you even if he's blinded.

Fuck those liftle dick shaped enemies with the spears.

Fuck the enemies that kept ambushing me outside the moldy apartment.

Fuck the farming that I had to make to get a small thing amulet.

FUCK THE RUSTY NAIL.

In the end, I had used my last book of enlightenment after defeating all contestants. Tried over and over, couldn't defeat Perk'ele and Rher, no matter the strategy. Tried to find better loot everytime I had to start over.

In the end I managed to go and farm a shitload of heads to make a shitload of soul stones, almost fucking died from a random villager in the old part of the town, and managed to unlock all of O'saa's broken abilities, blood golem and pheromone, among others (like engrave, which was a must).

And in the end, while I slowly chipped away at the two final bosses' health while my golem sustained most of the damage and I had only two health items, I managed to survive thanks to salmon snake rune, betel stone and leechmonger ring. And that one ability that makes you stronger the more time advances, so my punches would make me recover most of the health I lost.

And I finally won. I still can't believe it.

I don't wanna see this game again for a long while. Maso mode never again. I will replay my favorite characters again in lower difficulties gladly, when the new content is added and I get to enjoy more lore and backstory. And I'll eventually try out Olivia and O'saa's play styles because they seem neat.

But yes I did indeed waste my only two free days of the week, which I could be used to do anything else, beating fucking marcoh maso mode. I'm always completely exhausted everyday lately, but this time it's entirely my fault.

Anyway sorry if I misspelled anything. I'm exhausted, I'm gonna go to bed early and I needed to vent.

How do people manage to beat this mode more than once and with additional challenges too (like Olivia with no wheelchair)??? I shall watch those streams while I work.

Fear and Hunger Twisted wonderland AU

For this AU I took a look into what moonscorching actually is. Moonscorching a simple explanation is that it transforms a contestant into a representation of their worst qualities and fears. Combining this idea with the concept of overblotting where a person is transformed based on the build-up of magic blot and negative emotions over a significant amount of time I present  the twisted wonderland fear and hunger AU

Following the contestant rules there are only 14 students that are involved in the festival of termina. the 7 overblotters from twst main story and Yuu are the playable cast while the remaining 6 are the non-playable contestants. Yuu functions as a perspective character in this scenario and their actions would be that of the player of fear and hunger. All other contestants go through their own actions throughout the 3-day cycle Yuu can recruit teammates and try and make their way out of Prehevil. 

For the overblotting cast their moonschorched forms are based on the design elements and the backstory that we learn from their overblotted forms. Designing each element with the themes of fear and hunger and the knowledge of the twst cast I plan to envision a design for our 7 cast members.  ( note all cast members will be human in this au and non human characters ex. leona will lack non human features and abilities)

Azul  ( teratophobia)

A corrupt and money-hungry 26-year-old mafia man azul has lived a life dedicated to the ideals of the family leader. Despite growing tensions and the familys growing interest in the occult azul boards the train on a mission to track down the hier of a wealthy businessman associated with the family. 

Jamil  ( Rhabdophobia) 

A man on the run Jamil is a 27-year-old ex-servant of a powerful silk trading family. Escaping after an altercation with the heir he finds himself on the run from his past armed with his familys occult knowledge and his experiences as a bodyguard he boards the train in an attempt to find a new life

Vil  ( erotophobia)

Growing up in the church of Sylvian his family have spent years priming vil to be the most beautiful man as to gain Sylvian’s favor. Now 27 after withstanding cruel rituals vil is betrayed when his beloved chooses another.  Running off in a jealous rage vil finds himself on the train 

Idia  ( Phantasmophobia)

Devastated after the death of his younger brother a young idia devotes himself to finding a way to revive his younger brother. Now 29 his pursuits lead him to a train in hopes that the church of Allmer will have answers  

Malleus ( Rhabdophobia) 

 After the death of his parents, a young malleus was raised by an old man. after getting injured in the war his father falls deathly ill. Now a 27-year-old botanist malleus boards a train in search of a cure

it's times like these that make me rethink my love for horror genre. it's not just the body horror/transformation sequences. it's not just because i have the stomach. it's not just because women are oft at the helm and allowed to be unhinged and covered in blood. it's not just the underlying commentary. i can always step away if it gets too intense. there's always another day. there's no guilt in saying no. no guilt in identifying with bloodied girls to a point of great catharsis. there's something rewarding with the revelation that the power is mine.
