“Let’s pack our bags and settle down where palm trees grow...”

Der Playa de Las Teresitas wird oftmals als schönster Strand Teneriffas betitelt. Er liegt nördlich von der Hauptstadt Santa Cruz im beschaulichen Fischerdörfchen San Andrés und ist rund 2 km lang.

Im Gegensatz zu den charakteristischen schwarzen Lavastränden der Insel wurde der Teresitasstrand in den 70er-Jahren mit goldgelbem Saharasand aufgeschüttet. Mit dem türkisblauen Wasser, exotischen Strohsonnenschirmen und meterhohen Palmen versprüht er wahrlich Karibikfeeling.

Durch die künstliche Aufschüttung des Sandes fällt der Strand ganz flach ins Meer ab, und dank der Wellenbrecher kann man den Atlantik hier ganz ohne die üblichen hohen Wellen genießen. Daher ist der Strand auch für Familien gut geeignet.
