Powerful Chapter 4: Storm
Chapter 1
Chapter 2
Chapter 3
Warnings: None...stealing???
Pairings: Logicality, Prinxiety, platonic Patceit/Roceit, platonic DLAMP
Genre: Fluff mostly
Summary: Virgil wanted a bag of chips.
Virgil had just wanted a damn bag of chips.
He and that Prince guy had hung out a bit, but they fought.
A lot.
So, Virgil had left as soon as he'd turned his head, quickly fading into the shadows. He stepped out in an alley next to a convenience store, looking around to make sure no one had seen him. Virgil blew his black bangs out of his eyes and stepped out of the alley, entering the convenience store.
"Doritos...there they are." Virgil mumbled to himself, walking over and picking up the bag of chips. Out of the corner of his eye, he saw someone in a black and yellow hoodie looking at items curiously before stuffing them into the pockets of their hoodie. After a while, Virgil silently watching the whole time, they started towards the door.
Without paying.
"Yeah, I know!" The cashier was saying into their phone, not paying attention. Virgil frowned and caught up to the hooded person, grabbing their wrist.
"Hey-!" As soon as he'd touched them, they'd recoiled and Virgil had flown into the wall, along with several shelves being knocked over. He groaned and rubbed his head, looking over at the door to see the figure had disappeared.
"Oh my God." The cashier whispered. They swallowed thickly. "What...what happened?"
"...I don't know." Virgil mumbled, eyeing the place where the person had stood, noticing marks reaching out from that spot on the ground, as if something had exploded.
"I'm telling you, Logan, it was like an explosion went off!" Virgil insisted at lunch on Monday, waving his hands. Logan fixed his glasses.
"That seems highly illogical, Virgil."
"Then what do you think, Nerd?" Roman asked, raising an eyebrow. Logan scowled.
"I...I don't know." He admitted grudgingly. Roman smirked. He and Logan seemed to butt heads a lot. Patton had yet to be seen and Roman seemed fidgety because of it. Virgil forced thoughts of "what if" to the back of his mind.
"Ha!"
"Hush." Logan snapped.
"-and this is the cafeteria!" Patton's voice made Virgil perk up from his slouched position.
"There's a new kid." Roman muttered. Virgil didn't miss the way Logan's face lit up when he saw Patton but said nothing about it. He was focused on something else.
Or rather, someone.
A boy in an oversized yellow hoodie with a black snake on it peeked up at Patton through a mess of caramel curls. Most peculiar, though, was not his mismatched eyes, instead it being the entire left half of his face being burnt.
Virgil squinted. He seemed familiar.
"Hi guys!" Patton greeted. Virgil looked away from the new kid.
"Hey Pat."
"This is- uh- I just realized I forgot your name, kiddo!" Patton laughed awkwardly. "Sorry!"
"You can call me Dee." The curly haired student said quietly, his green and brown eyes looking at the group. Roman blinked, but grinned.
"Greetings, Dee! I am Roman Prince!"
"Hi." Dee nodded.
"I'm Virgil. You can call me Virge, 'cause I'm on the verge of a break down." Virgil shot finger guns.
"Virgil, I'll physically fight you." Patton threatened. Dee snickered and waved.
"Salutations. I am Logan Trams. Nice tp meet you, Dee." Logan greeted in his usual directly to the point manner.
"Nice to meet you, too." Dee sat down next to Patton's spot and Virgil suddenly realized how short the new student was. He'd been the shortest in the group before, but Dee was even shorter than he was. Patton smiled and sat next to him.
Tiny boi.
Virgil snickered and poked at his lunch. After a few minutes of listening to Roman bickering with Logan and Patton obviously pining over Logan, he glanced up. Dee didn't have a lunch.
"Yo, Dee, ya gonna eat anythin', buddy?" Patton stopped what he was doing at Virgil's words and looked at Dee. He frowned.
"Oh, I'm fi-"
"Here, have mine." Roman offered. "I ate a big breakfast this morning." He smiled. Dee shrugged and hesitantly took Roman's bag, pulling out clearly store bought tortilla chips and salsa and a chicken sandwich.
"Thanks, Roman." Dee mumbled. Roman flashed a charming grin. Virgil's face flushed and he looked away.
God dammit.
If he kept this up and Roman kept...well, being Roman, this was going to be a long year.

“Eyeing Mr Snakeface again are we?” Roman’s voice nearly scared Virgil enough to drop his plate right over Patton’s head. Thankfully, Logan shot his hand up and caught the plate waiter style, saving both his boyfriend’s and Virgil’s lunch. The two sat down to join them with Virgil by his best friend, Roman scooting a little closer to each of his boyfriend’s who were listening to something on Patton’s phone each with a headphone in. There were about four seats on the other side of the lunch table separating Virgil and Roman, but the latter didn’t seem to mind as he leaned forward to hear Virgil’s response, blushing a little as Patton took his hand in his.
“I was not eyeing anything.” Virgil replied, mimicking a gagging sound as he watched Patton hold Roman’s hand. Playfully of course. All three of them knew he was fine with their relationship, they spent so much time worrying if they were leaving him out, Virgil often wondered how much time they spent actually doing coupley things.
“Tell that to your face.” Patton giggled, taking his headphone out and handing it over to Roman. Roman smiled as he put the headphone and if Virgil wasn’t already paying attention to the way one of Damien Swindle’s friends were trying to put his hair up into a ponytail, he might have made a joke about what they were listening to.
“What?” Virgil asked, turning his head toward Patton as the barely five foot six senior sat on top of his hands, kicking his feet idly.
“You’re blushing.” Logan said without looking up from Patton’s phone.
“Are not.” Virgil said, lifting his phone up from the table to check in the reflection. He was.
“Not only is that statement factually incorrect, but grammatically as well.” Logan replied, pulling his ear bud out fully now. And even though Roman was leaning over to show Virgil whatever funny video Patton had pulled up, assuming it was his cute dog collection, Virgil could only notice Damien fucking Swindle turning around toward him with a hairtye in his particularly short hair smiling and waving.
“Fuck, I am blushing.” Virgil pointed two fingers across the cafeteria, hopping that was enough to subdue him, but it wasn’t apparently because Damien got up and started heading their way.
Damien Swindle was a senior, most people knew him from trying to do everything at once. He kept to himself, except for the two juniors that followed him around. Virgil didn’t know their names but one had glasses and the other always had a full iced coffee in their hands, even at 3 pm. Damien was also short, shorter than Patton who was only 5’6, and had nice hazel eyes and sometimes smiled at Virgil in Psychology in a way that made his stomach explode. And he was now sitting down next to Virgil.
You could say he was kind of freaking out.
“Hey guys.” Damien had a blush on his face, Virgil noticed as he just kind of sat there staring at him. He opened his mouth to reply as a chorus of hellos came from the other side of Virgil, but nothing came out.
“Nice ponytail.” Patton said, reaching his hand out to flick the tiny thing on top of Damien’s head.
“Thanks Pat, truly a work of art. Ariana’s wig : flown.” Damien made the motion of flipping his hair, but since it was kind of short it didn’t really go anywhere. Patton giggled, soft and kind of dazed and his attention fell on his boyfriends who were silently discussing something. Damien laughed too, but it was bigger, or at least louder, even though to Virgil it kind of felt empty. And then, after silence fell among the table just out of lack of anything to say, Damien hissed nervously, reaching up to scratch hair along his neck. “Sorry, that was pretty gay.”
“Oh please,” Roman interrupted upon hearing his favorite word. “You never have to apologize for that around us.”
“We are in fact,” Logan said, handing Patton’s phone back to him, and to free his hands and he made finger quotes in the air. “Pretty gay.”
“Speaking of gay,” Patton said, and the mumbles of yeah and what a segway went unnoticed as he reached down to squeeze one of Virgil’s hands, warning him. Or at least Virgil didn’t realize it was a warning until Patton was leaning forward on his elbows, nudging Virgil’s shoulder, and continuing his sentence with a teasing tone. “I think Virgil had something to ask you Damien.”
And with that Patton got up, pulling Logan and Roman away from the table groaning with promises of buying them pudding, leaving Virgil completely alone with his crush. Damien smiled softly, finally dropping his hand to the table and walking two fingers along until his hand stopped really close to Virgil’s arm. Virgil swallowed, watching the way Damien’s adams apple stuck out a little bit as he walked his fingers onto Virgil’s arm, the shorter boy’s gaze never falling from Virgil’s pale skin. Damien paused his fingers, slowly moving them to wrap his hand around Virgil’s wrist. The feeling made a little buzz in Virgil’s veins, it spread fast to the rest of his body and just when he felt like he was going to burst, he felt himself speaking. “You wanna go out on Friday?”
Damien squeezed Virgil’s wrist, the motion felt a little awkward but Virgil kind of thought it was a sentiment, until Damien pulled his hand away to reach into his pocket. He pulled out his phone and reached back over to place it in Virgil’s hand. “Put your number in my phone and we can decide on a place and time.”
“Sure.” Virgil croaked and he wanted die just a little more inside, but Damien laughed watching the way Virgil typed his full name out, and taking the phone back from him only to delete his last name and add a purple heart next to his first name.
There was no room for uncomfortableness because the triad was returning, Logan complaining about them only having chocolate pudding but letting Roman feed him with a plastic spoon anyway as they stopped in front of the table. Patton sat down, tugging on Virgil’s arm. “How’d it go?”
Virgil blushed again, reaching his hands up to tug on the strings of his hoodie, and hide his face.
“I’ll see you on Friday.” Damien laughed, pocketing his phone and standing up. “After I beat Roman for the lead in auditions.”
“Yeah right Snakeface.” Roman yelled through a spoonful of chocolate pudding as Damien walked away. Logan reached over to clear the pudding off Roman’s chin but Patton trying to kiss him made it a little difficult, and Virgil almost groaned until he got a notification on his phone.
I’d tell you not to blush so much Virge, but you’re really fucking cute when you do. See you friday x

The Bad and the Good
This would happen every once in a while. Patton would read about the immoral justices going on in the world and would just completely shut down.
He didn’t want the others to feel unsuccessful in their attempts to help him feel better, but the pain in his eyes was stronger than the very small smile on his face.
The only one that actually helped him though, was Deceit.
The things he said weren’t lies. They were always true. But he was very good at shifting Patton’s attention to the good in the world. To the people who love and trust and care for others. To the good that Thomas, and therefore Patton, has done for his friends, family, and fans. That even in humanity’s lowest moments, there were always people out there trying to do the right thing and help those they could.
He would place Patton’s head in his lap and stroke his hair and show him videos of people saving animals from trapped spaces, or stories of gay marriage being legalized around the world, or kids giving people working hard a glass of lemonade, and constantly finding restoring faith in humanity compilations.
He would let him cry. Whether from sadness or happiness. And very slowly, he was able to get Patton out of bed and rejoin the others.
Despite all of the things Patton had watched, Deceit helping was the best thing he saw all day.

Gotcha!
Day five of @sympathetic-deceit-week
Prompt:  Patceit
Ships:  Romantic patceit LET HIM KISS ALL OF THE SIDES, COWARDS; platonic moxiety
Summary:  Patton and Deceit deal with pining after each other in the most obvious way: a prank war.
Patton Sanders is becoming paranoid.
Three days have passed, and Deceit has yet to retaliate for the flood of tiny rubber ducks in his bathroom.  He must be planning something big.
Morality sidles down the hallway to his room, eyes darting around furtively.  He gets there without incident.  He is unsure if this is a good or a bad thing.  He double-checks his bed for short-sheeting or some unpleasant surprise before crawling under the baby blue quilt.  He resolves to sleep with one eye open, but, before he can stop himself, he dozes off.
Patton wakes up on the ceiling.
He shrieks, scrambling to grab handfuls of blanket, as if that will ground, er, ceiling him.  He curls up in a ball and scrunches his eyes closed, waiting for the end.
Nothing happens.
Slowly, he peels his eyes open and realizes that he isn't on the ceiling.  Everything else, however, is.  He tumbles out of bed, buzzing from place to place as he marvels at the effort this must've took.
He giggles when he notices that all of the items on his desk have been attached to it with carefully applied tape.
He turns around, smiling, when he hears a low chuckle join his laughter.
Deceit lounges against the doorframe, looking at Patton with a softness the liar rarely lets the others see.  “You don't seem a bit shaken up there.”
Patton bounds towards him, eyes sparkling.  “A pun and a prank?”  He stops right in front of the other side, bouncing slightly on his toes.  “Whatever did I do to deserve you?”
“Commit some grievously unforgivable crime in a past life.”  The effect of his ominous words are undermined by the way he goes cross eyed when Patton lightly rubs their noses together.
“Well, I don't really karma-self, but that sounds about right to me.”  Patton pauses a moment, squinting at him.  “You're going to get all of this down, right?”
“Absolutely not,”  Deceit pledges.  “And not before noon.”
Patton hums, contented, and laces their fingers together, dragging him down for breakfast.
He finds himself accidentally mooning over the other side, to the point where Virgil has to nudge him a few times to get him to tune back into the conversation.  He just can't help it though!  Deceit is snarky and funny and surprisingly sweet and he's got that trying-too-hard-to-be-cool vibe that makes him a huge dork and he's the only one that can keep up with Patton's epic pranks.
His eyes trace the gentle slope of Deceit’s neck, and he vaguely wonders if it's vain to pine after someone who looks almost exactly like him.  He pauses, several levers in his mind flipping into place.
Deceit looks almost exactly like him.
All of the others shift away when Patton begins to chuckle evilly over his French toast.
That night, he employs Roman's excellent costume makeup skills.
“Well?”  Roman beams as Patton scrutinizes himself in the mirror.  “Marvelous, am I not?”
Patton looks up at him with one snake eye and a half-scaled face, grinning through fanged teeth.  “It's perfect.”
The next morning, he sneaks into Deceit’s room and removes the back of the vanity mirror.  The snake sleeps deeply, so he is still groggy when he pulls himself over to the vanity to get ready.
Patton wipes the grin off of his face and puts on his best sleepy face, popping up just as Deceit sits down in front of the mirror.  He copies the other side as best he can, drowsily finger-combing his hair and pretending to rub lotion into his fake scales.
Right as Deceit is about to turn, Patton winks.  The liar’s head immediately snaps back, and Patton immediately copies his surprised expression, mirroring as it shifted over to suspicion then dismissal.
Patton has to up his mirroring game - it's a real time for reflection- as the final dredges of sleep abandon the other side.  He is eternally grateful that he also printed out a copy of Deceit's room to use as a backdrop.  He grabs his prop brush, raking it through his hair.
Just as Deceit starts to relax again, Patton sticks out his tongue.
Deceit promptly falls out of his chair.  Patton has to stifle his giggles as he hides behind the vanity.  He peeks over the edge of the mirror frame to see Deceit doing the same thing.  They sit up, side and apparent reflection eyeing each other warily.  They lean closer to each other, until Patton can feel the other man's breath.
Well, the gig was about to be up anyway.
Swiftly, he reaches out and boops Deceit’s nose.
Across the mindscape, Virgil tumbles out of bed in shock, Roman instantly unsheaths his katana, and Logan jumps towards the nearest jar of Crofters to defend it when they hear Deceit’s high-pitched scream.
“Patton?!”  Deceit hisses, sprawled out on the floor with a hand pressed to his chest.  “You almost gave me a-”  He stops, composing himself and rising.  “I mean.  You didn't almost give me a heart attack.  I knew it was you the whole time.”  He clears his throat and brushes an imaginary piece of lint off of his clothes then stalks to the bed and wraps himself up in a his mountain of blankets.
“Aww, come on, Dee,”  Patton coos at the snake burrito as he sits down next to him.  “You aren't really mad at me” - a hint of uncertainty enters his voice - “are you?”
Deceit rolls over, facing Morality.  It's slightly jarring to see his own face staring back, but then he sees the slightest difference in the roundness of his cheeks, the softness of his eyes, the lovely sweep of his lips, and he wonders how he could've ever been fooled.  “Yes,”  He lies, shifting closer and resting his head on Patton's lap.  The other side gently removed his hat and begins snaking his fingers through the snake’s curls.  “I'm so furious.  That was a terrible prank.  I'm unimpressed.”  A small smirk spreads across his face.  “I'll never top it.”
Patton laughs, feeling something in his chest start to glow.  “I'd like to see you try.”
The pranks come fast and furious after that, attack after counter-attack after counter-counter-attack.
“DECEIT!”   Patton cries, stomping into the room.  “Did you replace all of my albums with the Bee Movie script?”
The snake grins.  “I would never.  And if I did, it wouldn't be because you replaced all of my lotions with tanner.”
Roman throws back his head and laughs.  “Oh, you looked like a Cheeto for days!”
The mention of his last successful prank cheers Patton up, and he slinks into the kitchen as inconspicuously as a literal ray of sunshine and joy can.
Virgil follows him and clamors onto the counter, shoulders hunched as he huddles in on himself.  “Pat?”  He hesitates.  “Can I talk to you about something?”
“Sure, kiddo!”  Patton chirps, slicing open a packet of dry lime Jello for some unknown reason.  “What's up?”
“That's the thing”- he scratches at his ear awkwardly, wishing he was just born as a Tim Burton cartoon - “it's about you… and Deceit.”
It would be impossible to miss the way Patton's face lights up at the mention of the other side.
“Oh, have our pranks been bugging you, kiddo?”  Patton stops pouring the powder into mesh bags, looking at him.  “I'm sorry, we can tone it back if you want.”
“Nah.”  Virgil waves him off.  “It's not that.  I just, um, kinda noticed that you get this, uh, look?  Whenever he's around?  And I just…”  He breaks off into anxious muttering for a moment, grousing about confrontation and socialization and all other manner of atrocities.
Patton abandons his mysterious project, lying a comforting hand on Virgil's arm.  “Hey,”  He says quietly.  “It's okay.  What's up?”
“Do you like him?”  Virgil blurts out, so quickly that it takes several seconds for Patton to disentangle his words.
He tucks a stray lock of hair behind his ear and grins.  “That obvious, huh?”
“I’m just anxious he knows too.  He isn’t exactly the... best communicator.”
Patton shrugs, unconcerned but not dismissive.  “Dee just has a different way of showing affection, kiddo.  That doesn't make it any less real.”
Virgil nods, but his eyes remain troubled, sitting in his face like storm clouds, gray and tumultuous.  “I just worry for you, Pat. He is, by definition, a liar.  How can that be healthy?”
Patton turns to Virgil, gasping.  “Virgil!  I'm surprised at you!  He can't help lying anymore than you can help being anxious or I can help being a dad.”
Virgil looks down at his socked feet, swinging them through the air.  “I know that, I just… worry.”
Patton softens, pressing a kiss to his strange, dark son’s forehead.  “I'll be alright, kiddo.”
There are other reasons he thinks this; ones that he won’t even share with his precious storm cloud.  Reasons like he is the second-biggest liar after the snake.  Reasons like he lies to protect his family.  Reasons like he lies to keep them happy.  Reasons like he lies to pretend that he is happy.
Reasons like Deceit is the only one who has ever been able to see through all of his fake laughter.
He smiles, and Virgil realizes that it is different from his other smiles, soft and true instead of blinding and cheesy.  “I love him.”  He boops Virgil's nose with his finger.  “And I love you!”
Virgil can't help but smile at that.  “You too, Pat.”
“Oh, good!”  Patton flourishes a sheet of tiny Shrek faces and a pair of scissors summoned from who knows where.  “Then you'll have no objection to helping me cover up faces on the posters in his room with Shrek.”
Virgil stares at the cartoon solemnly for a moment before looking up and catching Patton's eye.  It's all ogre now.”
It's as they tape the last green face up and are proudly surveying their handiwork that Virgil suddenly thinks to ask.  “What was the jello for, by the way?”
Patton smiles, something dangerously mischievous glinting in his eyes.  “You’ll see, but keep it on the down jel-low, okay?”
Later, Deceit gets out of the shower covered head to toe in green slime.
“THE SLIMEY BOY!”  Thomas cries dramatically as he appears before them, scowling.
“Ah, I see.”  Logan nods his head.  “A few packets of gelatin hidden in the shower cap result in a thin green sheen of a viscous substance.  Clever.”
Virgil snorts a laugh as Deceit stalks to Patton, hissing.
“Heya, kiddo!”  Patton’s smile is blinding.  “Something up?”
“You didn’t get me all sticky.”  Deceit’s eyes narrow.
“Oh, did I?”  Patton shrugs.  “Didn’t even notice.”
Deceit pauses a moment, staring at the other side before coming to a decision.  He reaches out and yanks Patton towards him.  Patton’s heart hammers against his chest as Deceit wraps his arms around him.
Then, he leans forward and kisses him.
“Ewww.”  Roman wrinkles his nose as they pull apart.  “Now you’re all slimy too.”
Patton looks down to see the slime plastering his shirt against his skin.  He can’t bring himself to care.
Deceit presses their foreheads together and grins down at him.  “Gotcha.”

To Belong
(A/N): This is for sympathetic Deceit week, and today’s prompt was patceit ( which is my bread and butter). I have to say, I like how this turned out! I hope you enjoy reading.
WARNINGS!: Angst, Deceit (the character), Mild Lies/Deception, Mild (like, super mild) Swearing, Impersonations, Self Depreciation.
Paring(s): Patceit (Platonic or Romantic)
Word Count: 769
Summary: Deceit finds himself in need of someone to talk to.
I adjusted the cardigan around my shoulders and reached for the set of glasses on my bathroom sink. I picked up the glasses and gently placed them on my face, looking over my reflection in the mirror. I leaned forward and tilted my face to the side, "I look like him, just like the last time I did this," I muttered, standing up straight and swallowing thickly. I took a deep breath, and continued to stare at my reflection. The longer I stared at my reflection the more pissed off I got.
"God, I'm so pathetic,” I grumbled. I want so hard to be liked that I’m resorting to this. Pretending to be something I’m not is, surprisingly, hard for me, “I’m Deception, so why is it so hard to pretend to be Morality? To be what Thomas wants, and what the others want?” I asked the air around me, clenching and unclenching my fist.
“Because it’s not who you are. And in the end, no one can pretend to be something they aren’t,” a voice, all too familiar, quietly spoke up in the back of my mind. I swallowed thickly and sucked in a deep breath. I need someone to talk to. I need Patton to talk to. Without hesitating, I exited my room and quickly walked down the hallway, praying that I wouldn’t run into anyone.
Why hadn’t I just sunk down and appeared in Patton’s room? That could have saved me from running into Roman, Logan, and Virgil, who gave me a smile and wave. I returned the smile and greeted them with a cheerful “Hey, friend-os!”
I could feel my stomach twist into knots as those words left my lips, “They’re only being nice to you because they think you’re Patton,” my thoughts hissed, “None of them actually care about you. Why would they? You’re the villain.”
The voice in the back of my skull that enjoyed taunting me seemed to grow louder for each step I took, “You’re nothing to Thomas. He’d be better off without you,” it hissed “You’ll never be accepted by the others. They hate you. You’re not important, and you never will be.”
I couldn’t take it. It felt so suffocating.
My eyes fell on Patton’s bedroom door and I quickly opened it, rushing inside and slamming it shut, almost as if my thoughts couldn’t get me in there. I let out a sigh and pressed my back against the door, swallowing thickly. Patton hadn’t seemed startled to see me, or that I had slammed his door. He didn’t even question why I was dressed like him. Instead, he offered me one of his big, soft smiles, and said the most beautiful thing that I’ve been waiting to hear all day, “Hey, Deceit! How are you, today?”
I felt a choked laugh erupt from my lungs as I stumbled over to Patton, wrapping the moral side into a tight hug and feeling a sob lip from my lips. Patton returned the hug with little hesitation, and rubbed small circles on the center of my back, humming a soft tune.
Several minutes passed before I finally released my hold on Patton, sucking in a shaky breath, “I see your day hasn’t been going very well,” Patton spoke up, gently removing the glasses that rested on my face and placing them off to the side, “There,” he hummed “You look a little more like yourself,” he added. I opened my mouth to speak, but found my throat had closed up and tears threatened to pour from my eyes. Patton pulled off his cat hoodie and placed it over my shoulders, “Did you want to talk about it?” he asked.
It’s funny, I had the intent of talking about what was bothering me, but as soon as I had stepped into Patton’s room all I wanted to do was be held by him and listen to him hum. I lightly shook my head in response, and gave a small smile to the moral side, who seemed to understand what I wanted. He took me in his arms and held me close, humming softly.
It was nice feeling loved, and wanted by someone.

Your Christmas present from me is a fix up!!
Patton knew Deceit stayed awake at night often, usually from nightmares. So he figured the poor dark side deserved to sleep in on Christmas! And oh, he'd bake him his own plate of chocolate chip pancakes and give him his presents which were under the tr-
Wait, why weren't his presents under the tree?
Patton furrowed his brows, eyeing where Deceit's gifts were meant to be, "Hey, L? Where are Dee's presents?"
"Ah, they're over in the corner. I did not want them to be damaged while we were opening ours." Logan answered, then glanced at Patton. "By the way, I believe you should wake him now."
Patton checked the time and stood up, nodding cheerfully in agreement.
"You're right," he chirped, "be right back!" With that, Patton bounded up the stairs to Deceit's room and knocked. "Hey, Dee! Wake up!" He began to open the door without thinking. "It's Chr- Dee?"
"What?" Deceit hissed, drawing his knees closer to his chest and weakly glaring at Patton.
"It's Christmas, buddy..." Patton frowned, looking at Deceit with concern clearly shining in his eyes. His gaze wasn't on the glare he was currently being given, instead it was on the tear tracks running down Deceit's cheeks.
"I'm not well aware." Deceit snapped, crossing his arms. Patton tilted his head, eyes searching for some sort of reasoning in Deceit's mismatched eyes. Everything had been going so well, recently, so he didn't understand why Deceit was... "Don't go back to your unhappy family."
"Dee, you're part of our family."
"Am I? It sure as hell feels like it." Deceit scowled, a wry and tasteless smile on his lips. He flicked his forked tongue over his chapped lips, gaze cold to hide the hurt that he so obviously felt. He'd fooled many people like this, but never Patton. Patton knew the difference between someone who was hurt and someone with genuinely malicious intent.
"What? How?" Patton took a step forward, nothing but concern showing on his face as he resisted the urge to hug him tight to his chest.
"Well, you clearly enjoy Christmas with me."
"Wh- oh. Oh! Dee, I was trying to let you sleep in because I know you don't get a lot of sleep." Patton explained, taking another step forward as Deceit's gaze softened and he relaxed just a bit.
"...what?" He asked. "But- the presents-"
"Lo moved yours out of the way so they wouldn't get accidentally broken or opened."
"You- you didn't leave me behind?" Deceit asked in such a small and hesitant voice that it made Patton tear up a bit.
"Of course not, Dee." He said softly, sitting on the bed next to the dark side and wrapping an arm around his shoulders. "We'd never do that." He assured as Deceit hid his face in Patton's sweater.
"I'm- I didn't think- I'm sorry, I just- V left me behind before so I thought-" He stuttered, "I'm- I'm really sorry."
"It's alright, I promise. I'm not mad." Patton smiled and moved away. "C'mon, the others are waiting. You want some chocolate chip pancakes, kiddo?"

Kinda generic but I didn’t sleep last night: Deceit being forgotten on Christmas day? 👽
I likeyyyy
Deceit woke up later than everybody else, at 10 am rather than 7. Normally, that wouldn’t have bothered him but he frowned and double checked the date.
December 25th. Yeah, it was Christmas…
So why had no one come to wake him up to open presents? Deceit pursed his lips, opening his door and standing at the top of the stairs, surveying the downstairs. Wrapping paper lay strewn around the tree, and he could hear the others laughing in the kitchen. Unnoticed, 4 little boxes were still under the Christmas tree; a red one, a purple one, a baby blue one and a navy blue one.
Deceit felt his eyes water, so he turned around and returned to his room as unnoticed as the gifts. Did he really think that just because they didn’t grimace when they saw him anymore that he’d be accepted? That just because he was invited to breakfast he’d be part of their holidays? God, how stupid was he? The dark side wondered as he wiped furiously at his eyes.
It wasn’t so bad. It was just another day alone. He’d had plenty of days alone. He could handle it.
“Merry Christmas.” He muttered dryly.

It wasn’t uncommon to find Dee with his legs stretched out on the floor, back leaned up against to his desk, fighting the voice in his head that berated him. There was that little part of him that wanted to scream, wanted to tug at his hair, to kick his feet and demand that things go his way. He slipped his hands up in between the strands of his brown hair that he hadn’t washed today, resisting the urge to scratch at the clothes made his skin itch.
Dee didn’t want to care about what it meant to be a he, what it meant to feel wholeheartedly. Dee didn’t want to resist the twitch in his hands every time he watched one of his friends shower another in affection, celebrating each other’s uniqueness. Dee didn’t want to think about the difference of attraction to romance and romantic attraction, or the long list of broken hearts behind him that he tried to pass off as miscommunication. Or not finding the one yet.
He wanted to sleep, and never wake up. Stay in dreamland where things were either so fuzzy and hazy that he felt soft as cotton candy, or they were horrifying, the worst he’s ever felt. But at least he could clearly recall the fear embedded in every bone of his body, keeping him from speaking or moving. At least there he could feel.
Dee’s shoulders shook, twitching along with his stomach as he cried. The tears didn’t even run, damn things. They just stayed collected at the edges of his eyes, blurring his vision until he attempted to wipe them away with the back of a shaky hand. His mouth twisted up, and he turned a little to the left to avoid the stand up mirror facing him, he didn’t need more to feel bad at the moment. He wasn’t sure how long he had sat there, clutching the small stuffed snake that branded his university’s logo, until a knock interrupted him from his self pity.
It could have been an RA or anyone else, but of course it had to be Patton’s tenor voice coming through from the hallway. Dee imagined Patton had his head pressed against the wall next to his door, as he’s opened to the sight many times. Patton would usually be humming something, the energy in him buzzing through his veins causing him to bounce with almost every part of his body. He was taller than most, the tallest of their friends at least, and his limbs just stretched so far that he was kind of everywhere at once.
And Dee didn’t even consider that he would’ve had people with him, he was up and opening the door before his brain could catch up with him. His eyes registered that the other three were standing behind him, but all Dee could see was that damn blue polo of his being as short as Dee is, and next thing he knew his eyes were squeezed close and arms were being wrapped around him.
He was pushed further into his room, it suddenly felt smaller than any other room they’ve all been in together. Logistically that was because he was in a single, and they were in a kitchen suite with two double rooms and an empty, so his was smaller. But as he wrapped his arms around Patton’s waist, he wanted to be closer. He wanted just a little of the warmth or the joy that the older man radiated to transfer to him. Dee felt a hand slip between them, brushing away the hair falling over his eyes and collecting a bunch of tears with his thumb, a soft, sibling-like kiss pressed to the top of his hair. The move was comfortable, and he almost felt bad for pressing his cheek against the hand like until he heard Roman’s deep bass laugh a little wetly.
Dee lifted his head from Patton’s chest, tried to pull away in an attempt to gain some dignity back in a group where he never had any to begin with, when lanky arms wrapped his shoulders pulling him into another hug. A hand patted his back, and Logan stepped away, and Virgil’s hug was as soft as quick as it was rare.
“You wanna talk?” Patton asked, his voice low and quiet and fuck, Dee felt like a child the way he shook his head no in response, and practically made grabby paws at him. Patton smiled though, pulled him into a hug anyway as things moved around them.
By the time Dee pulled away, Roman was putting a handful of candy wrappers in the trash bin as he hummed along to an old Bowling for Soup song that Virgil had started playing from Dee’s open laptop. If Dee had the energy, he would reach over and close the email tab that was still open, the start of tonight’s breakdown, but he didn’t so it was left staring him down from across the room. A battle with his past, a reminder of the people he’s hurt, of how he’s evil, doesn’t deserve-
Virgil closed the tab. Didn’t just minimize it, apparently not caring at all what was on it as he pressed the little red x, but definitely noticing the way Dee’s eyes blinked back at him when it was gone. And now that he had his attention-“When’s the last time you ate anything besides those?”
Dee forced a smile passed his lips, wiped at his face, turned away from them, anything to not appear as weak and pathetic as he felt mumbling “Maybe Monday?”
“It’s Thursday.” Logan replied, there was a stiffness to his voice, and Dee bit his lip. They were mad, god he couldn’t even do so much as eat, and-laugh. Just laugh it off. Dee shrugged, smiling even though it kind of hurt, and mumbled an apology. “We should go get some real food in you then.”
Dee’s stomach wasn’t grumbling, it wasn’t like he was fighting against hunger of any kind, he just wasn’t hungry. So he just made a nonchalant noise, climbed over to use the step stool for his bed, being as he was shorter than most who kept their beds on the top notch, and wondered if they’d leave. “I can take care of myself, I know I act like it, but I’m not a baby.”
“No one called you a baby.” Roman replied, leaning against the closet door as a soft ukulele song played. Probably one of his additions, Dee thought to himself, the fact that the group tended to use his account since he was the only one with Spotify premium made him feel a little more integral.
Virgil sat in the chair by his desk, Pat joined Dee on the bed, and Logan leaned on his arm laid out next to the tv on his dresser. Roman bent down next to him, picking up a familiar flash of green and waving. “Childhood stuffed animal?”
“No.” Dee held his hands out and Roman tossed it his way, everyone kind of watching the way the shortest of them clutched the snake to his chest, pushing his face into it.
“I gave it to him.” Pat leaned over, nearly falling on top of Dee completely as he attempted to knock shoulders with him. Dee made a noise of agreement, soon enough the room would be filled with laughter and fond memories of middle school dance hits, but for now a smile came easy. He wasn’t happy, wasn’t sure if he felt any better, but at least his friends were here with him.
The memory casted a ghost of a smile on Dee’s face as he pressed the face of the familiar stuffed snake into his tear filled face months later. He was cornered around buckets of his university stuff in the living room of his family’s one floored apartment. One of his sisters were sleepily loudly on the couch next to him as he scrolled through the photos from the previous semester hoping it would make him feel a little better. It didn’t. All it did was remind him that there would be more nights ahead like this. Trying to muffle his cries as his emotionally exhausted brain fought sleep for just one more hours as the same dreams that had comforted the desolate student, now only teased and terrorized him. It reminded him how empty the suite would feel with Patton no longer attending the school, Roman transferring in December, Virgil ignoring him, and Logan furious with him since he’d gone risked his health by forgetting to eat again. Yeah, the memory may have soothed him for a moment, but now all it did was make him miss them even more.

It Was Perfect
Pairing(s): Abusive patceit, platonic or romantic logince, platonic or romantic roloceit
Warnings: Abusive relationship, hitting, manipulation, unsympathetic Patton, Remus mention, sympathetic dark sides, gaslighting, food mention
Word Count: 3k
As much as Dimitri didn’t want to admit, his life was kind of falling apart at the seams. His mom decided that he had to get a date for his cousin’s wedding. It’s not like any of his extended family had cared about how he was doing before! But luckily, after accidentally flirting with a married man, he met Patton. He had round gold glasses, curly brown hair, and I smile that could just make Dimitri fall to his knees. It was perfect to start dating someone as perfect as him.
First of all, Patton could cook without burning down the house like Remus had when Dimitri was roommates with. Second, Patton was able to make the dumbest puns that could make anyone smile! Only two days until the wedding and Dimitri already got a boyfriend of one month.
“Hey, kiddo, how do I look?” Patton walked out into his living room wearing a blue suit with an untied bow tie resting on his shoulders. He looked down and gained a mischievous grin. “Ah man, looks like I still have to suit up.”
Dimitri groaned, getting up off the couch, “That was an AMAZING pun, I applaud you.” He walked over and helped Patton with his bow tie.
After it was finally done, definitely without the help of five youtube tutorials, Patton gave his boyfriend a kiss on the check. “All tied up it seems.” Dimitri gave another sound of annoyance. “Also, Dee, maybe tone up your lying a bit? It was a little confusing trying to guess what you wanted for dinner last night.”
“Oh, I’m not a pathological liar, but I will not- I mean- will try to not lie…” He thought he already told Patton about his problem, but maybe not. Dimitri knew people got annoyed by it and had taken speech therapy lessons before. “But hey, we’re going to be able to steal the show with our fabulous looks.”
They shared a kiss and fell to the couch. The two of them ended up with Dimitri starfished on the carpet as Patton cuddled into him. It was perfect, right? There wasn’t much time until the wedding and he would be able to please his grandma and mother. The blond wasn’t used to being praised by anyone or even cuddled. He had yet to admit to his boyfriend that he hadn’t hugged anyone in over five years since he moved out of his mom’s house. That fact alone would probably urge Patton to hug Dimitri over and over, which he honestly wasn’t sure he’d be comfortable with. It was nice to have someone dote on him, but would Patton bring that overboard?
-
It was the wedding day!
Dimitri and Patton walked inside the church, not exactly knowing what to do. Neither of them had been to a wedding in a long time. But, at least they were together and there wouldn’t be any angry or disappointed mothers because a certain heterochromia eyed young adult had failed his one and only request. Though, there were people from the groom’s family glaring at people being gay publicly.
“So you actually managed to get a date? I was worried you were going to show up with your slimy snake.” Dimitri’s mom laughed, causing Patton to have a little chuckle. “And look, he has a fine taste in jokes too!”
“First of all, snakes aren’t slimy and secondly, you wouldn’t say that if you knew how many puns he makes a day.”
Patton gave a little smile, making Dimitri drop his fake glare. “I just gave a little slither at a joke!” That made Dimitri’s mom laugh into her hands as the blond gave an unimpressed look. “Enough of that, the wedding’s starting!”
All things considered, it was a fine wedding. The bride and groom became wife and husbands. Even though, it was just outdated and expensive pageantry. Okay, so Dimitri was a bit biased because of the amount of boredom he was experiencing. But, that statement held true if you just googled the average amount a wedding costs, without the price of dresses. He glanced at Patton, who seemed happy to be there, causing him to gain a weak smile. At least he was having a good time.
“Hey Dee, would you ever want to do anything like this?”
Would he? It would be incredibly expensive and he was still fighting to pay back his student loans. But, Dimitri looked at Patton and his heart melted. So he did what he did best to keep the love of his boyfriend. If this what it took to make him happy, so be it. Who cares if he was told to stop doing it. It was the one thing he knew how to do. Lie.
“Yeah, of course.”
-
Everything was perfect. Dimitri and Patton had been dating for almost a year and both moved into Patton’s apartment. Though, Dimitri had to sell his snake Justice because there wasn’t enough room and his boyfriend wasn’t fond of reptiles. But, they made everything work and they were both very happy. Patton cooked and Dimitri cleaned, while every Thursday they would go on a date or just order pizza.
Dimitri walked into the kitchen to see pancakes being put on a plate. It smelled delicious and he waltzed over to grab one. “It smells horrible, dear.”
“Remember what I said about lying?”
“Right… It smells lovely, sorry.” If only he could express his words better, maybe he could get Patton to like him more. Unfortunately, he didn’t have enough money to start up speech therapy again, but he didn’t want to burden Patton anymore than he already did. “What’s the plan for today?”
Patton looked up for a minute like he hadn’t thought of it beforehand. “Maybe we could just stay in and watch movies all day! I was planning a Harry Potter marathon?” Dimitri made a sound of agreement while moving to kiss his boyfriend on the cheek. “Hey, don’t get cheeky here.”
-
After getting through the third movie Patton paused the TV, signaling that they had to talk. Dimitri set the popcorn bowl and the ground and sat up a bit, getting ready for maybe something serious. He honestly didn’t know what they were going to discuss, and it was probably about his Hogwarts house being Hufflepuff but he couldn’t help but get a little nervous.
“Dee, I wanted to tell you that you need to pull your wait more. I’ve been supporting you throughout this whole relationship but you’re still continuing to lie to me every day and I’m afraid to admit I’ve been getting a little frustrated with it.”
“Pat, I’m not sorry- I mean I’m sorry- I’m a pathological liar and I can control it… I mean, can’t control it! Ugh, see what I mean?!” Dimitri ran his hand through his hair, trying to say a single sentence without lying. “I thought… I told you this before.”
“But you can control it better I know it. You just want to be babied.”
“I do! I mean, don’t! I’ve been trying Patton!” Dimitri didn’t want Patton to be upset with him and he was trying his best to keep his voice low but he just kept being riled up by being blamed for a problem he had no control over. “I… thought you’d understand I’m trying.”
“I understand but you’re making this more difficult than it needs to be, Dee.”
Dimitri scoffed without meaning to, “Yeah, sure sounds like you are…”
It only took a few seconds to realize he had been slapped and had fallen into the popcorn bowl on the floor. He looked at Patton who appeared frightened. “Oh my god, I’m so sorry! I’ll get an ice pack!” Dimitri stood up and brushed the food off of his elbow. His face stung but it was just an accident.
-
It was perfect. Even though their dates were becoming less frequent, Patton made up for it with cuddles and kisses. They hadn’t watched Harry Potter since the incident, and maybe that was for the best.
Dimitri decided he wasn’t going to lie around Patton as much as he could. This made him turn to just writing down what he wanted to tell him. Patton fully supported him to the fact that he found himself talking to people less and less. Whenever he’d get a text of Remus doing stupid actions, it was more likely that he’d leave him on read. When he did respond to people, Patton would ask Dimitri to go on a date with him.
They had been dating for fifteen months at that point. And Dimitri had decided to take a walk on a stormy day. Patton was at work and probably wouldn’t mind anyway. He left a note on the kitchen counter just in case his boyfriend got worried. It smelled nice out and he eventually found himself in a park.
“Excuse me, sir, may I take the spot next to you?”
He looked up to see a man with neat black hair and rectangle glasses. Dimitri just nodded, not wanting to lie to someone like Patton suggested. The man took his place and took out a laptop and started typing right away. Dimitri decided he didn’t want to bother anyone and stood up.
“Why are leaving so soon? Have I bothered your peace, I can relocate elsewhere-”
“N-no,” Dimitri forced out. He tried to tell the truth as well as possible. He couldn’t disappoint Patton and he didn’t expect someone to talk to him today. His notebook was at home and he tried his best to stay calm. “I… don’t want to bother you.”
“You misunderstand. You have not been prohibiting my ability to work.” The man paused. “I am referred to as Logan, and I only moved over here after my friend encouraged me to get your phone number as I find you attractive.”
Dimitri didn’t know how to respond. Yeah, he was dating Patton, but there was no harm in making a friend, right? Patton loved friendship to his knowledge, so he should be proud of him for being able to communicate to someone, right? “I don’t… I mean, I have a boyfriend but I wouldn’t… WOULD like to be your friend.”
He couldn’t make it through one conversation, huh? Logan pushed up his glasses. “That would be most acceptable. Would you like to add your number into my contacts for me?” He handed over his phone and Dimitri shakily added his number under ‘Dimitri’.
After added Logan into his contacts, Dimitri made some sort of excuse and ran back home. He made a friend! It’s been a long time since he could claim that! Patton would be so proud of him. He hardly even lied! Dee hummed a small bit as he opened the door to the apartment and found his boyfriend waiting for him with a frown on his face. Dimitri stopped all his movement after he closed the door softly.
“Where’d you go?” Patton said this calmly, but just because his voice wasn’t raised, it was clear he was very angry. “You couldn’t tell me before you decided to leave?”
“I… I left a note, and you were at work.”
“Why are you still lying to me, Dimitri?” Patton asked, stepping closer to him. “I told you to stop lying to me. I was worried sick that you could be hurt and now you’re lying to me!”
Dee sucked in a breath. He made Patton worry. “I’m sorry… I… I thought you found the note!”
-
“Salutations, this is Logan Berry, I cannot answer your call right now. If you wish, you may leave a voice message so I may call you back.”
Dimitri blinked back his tears. “This is Dimitri Young from the park, turns out I’m not… I mean.. Am single... But, that’s not what matters. I definitely do not need a place to stay tonight because my… just call me back when you can.”
This was just perfect. He ran to the park he met Logan after getting attacked by Patton. He felt light-headed and just wanted to sleep. Dimitri held his hand up to his black eye and winced. He wasn’t sure how hurt he was, but it definitely hurt like hell. Why would Patton even be proud that Dimitri reached out? He was just a person with vitiligo and heterochromia who liked snakes while having the tendency to lie.
He didn’t know how long he sat on the bench, just waiting for time to pass and feel safe. But the time he looked up from his knees, the sun was gone. Dimitri got up and silently left the park. He didn’t have a destination and only knew he couldn’t go back home. The blond tried not to limp as he found himself at the 24/7 McDonalds. At least he managed to have his wallet on him. He quietly ordered a burger and sat down. He couldn’t find the willpower to even unwrap it.
“Hello, can I sit here?”
Dimitri blinked, before scowling and hugging his arms. “Don’t do what you want to do…” He was too tired to correct his speaking and sighed.
The man looked in confusion. “I… think that was a yes.” He sat down and gave a dashing smile. “My name is Roman, the nerd who approached you earlier today, Logan, is my friend.”
“Congrats. Boyfriends are wonderful.”
Roman furrowed his eyebrows. “Are you okay?” Dimitri looked up to hiss at him only for the ginger to gasp and lean forward. Dimitri blinked. Was this about his eyes? His vitiligo? “Is your eye okay? Let me get you ice!”
Oh… That was new. Patton would never say anything about injuries, even though he caused them half the time. But Roman made it seem like it wasn’t a normal thing to casually have a black eye. It probably wasn’t for most people. Of course, Dimitri had another thing that made him stick out more than others. The redhead came back with a complimentary water and held it over his green eye. Without noticing, a tear trailed down his face, making Roman immediately retract his hand.
“Sorry, did I hurt you?”
Dimitri quietly shook his head. “I’ve… always had someone actually concerned for me…” He groaned, he hasn’t even known this person for five minutes and has already lied more than he did when Patton encouraged him to basically go mute. “Not sorry, I don’t have controllable lying.”
Roman looked confused for a second before nodding. “Okay… So, I came up to you because I recognized you when I told Logan to talk to you. Also, it’s like 10 PM so I was wondering if you were just going to hang out in an empty McDonalds all night.”
“Who knows… I definitely have a home to go to now.”
“You can stay the night at Logan and I’s apartment? It’s nothing big but, I would rather you didn’t get mugged and shot in an alleyway.” Roman offered a small smile. He blinked before he realized how that sounded. “You don’t have to but I didn’t want you to get hurt or something if I could do something about it.”
The two stared at each other, Roman still holding a polite look while Dimitri maintained his scowl. It made him realize how much he missed his old friends before Patton convinced him that he was the only one worthy enough to be in his life. Before he knew what was happening he walked to Logan and Roman’s place with tears streaking down his face. No one said anything about it, and Roman did nothing but grab Dimitri’s hand and lightly pulled him in the direction they needed to go. While he was glad he didn’t need to say anything about his constant stream of tears, he couldn’t imagine the consequences Patton would give him for holding hands with a stranger and crying in public. ‘Why are you crying?! Do you know how upset that makes me?’
His grip on Roman’s hand was growing weaker as his shaking and fear grew. What would Patton think of this? How was he going to live without any of his belongings? He’d need a new job, right? That’s what people in movies did at least…
-
“So you found him at a McDonalds? His energy looks exceedingly depleted. Perhaps we should obtain some food for him?”
“I mean yeah but, he called you earlier and you didn’t respond according to him.”
Logan smacked his head. “My cellular device has been on airplane mode in order to avoid it from running out of its battery.”
Dimitri watched the two talk on the couch, awkwardly curled up in a ball. He wasn’t crying anymore but it made him too tired to even process thoughts. Nothing seemed real at the moment. Logan peered at him before saying something to Roman. He was too tired to tune into the conversation, but he did know they were talking about him. He could feel himself starting to pass out before his phone started ringing. Anything his new “friends” were saying had been put on pause.
“...Hi, Patton.”
“Where are you? I’ve been extremely nervous since you’ve left! I’m so sorry for fighting you, can you come back now? After your fit I felt so bad that you were upset!”
He grimaced. A ‘fit’, huh? “I… do want to come home with you.”
“Great, I can drive over. I’m so glad you’re finally coming to your senses and realize how silly you were being! Now we can go back to practicing with your little lying issue-”
“No, I meant. I DON’T want to come home with you…” Dimitri held his breath in nervousness. He glanced at Roman and Logan, who were eyeing him nervously. They didn’t know what was being said but according to context clues, it wasn’t anything good. “I’m safe right now and… I want to stay safe. That is something you can’t give me.”
“Dee, don’t you have any idea how this makes me feel? We are happy together. It was perfect when you just did what you were told. You ruined everything but I’ll forgive you if you just agree to go home! Don’t you want to be happy?” Patton was trying to do this through phone. Dimitri sighed, as much as he ‘wants to be happy’, he didn’t want to get slapped or punched again. “You can make the smart decision, kiddo. All you have to do is come home. You don’t have to be punished if you just LISTEN TO ME.”
“I don’t want to be happy… but it will have nothing to do with you.”
Patton growled. “You’re lying again. No one will love you with that problem of yours! No one but me. You’re lucky I’ve been there for you! But if you’re being disobedient, I guess I’m going to have to take away your photo album.”
“Do it then. See you later.” Dimitri hissed, hanging up. He dropped his phone and stood up. It didn’t really matter how light-headed he was, he had to move around to keep himself from crying. Roman stepped forward to comfort him but saw the terror held in Dimitri’s eyes. “I did it…. I didn’t do it, I didn’t stand up to Patton. But, he could find me and I’ll be scared again… I don’t want to be alone again. I can do that again, I will be able to do that again!”
Logan and Roman looked at each other before Logan said something. “You don’t have to go back, we have optimal room to hold three people comfortably.”
“Oh,” Dimitri felt his face dry as he let out a shutter. It’s been a long time since he had someone to reassure him. Remus wasn’t one for physical touch and he’d be lucky if Patton cared about anything he was feeling. But no one was getting mad at him for feeling upset. He breathed in and let out a small laugh. “That’d be perfect.” And it wasn’t a lie.

Stop thinking that please.

Sanders Sides Ships Playlist (Updated)
I realized that in the first post I not only missed a few ships but that I made it BEFORE our trash boy was introduced! So here's an updated version! I don’t know all the ship names, so once we get into polyamory town I just use dashes because I don’t want people to be confused! You can find the playlist with all of these songs HERE on youtube! I might make a Spotify playlist of them, but might not. depends on if I need to procrastinate any more homework.
Also, I have not and will not include any of the ships with both Roman and Remus as - despite the varying opinions on the matter that I’m not going to get into - events in my personal life have made that subject feel rather icky for me personally. If requested, I could create some platonic playlists for the relationships of the sides as well! But until then, there will be no RemRom. Thanks for understanding! (let me know if I forgot any other ships, though!)
Tell me how I did? I tried my best to get it accurate but I don’t know all the ships wonderfully ^-^

💛 This is absolutely outstanding. I love it! 💛
Is This... Appreciation? - Soap, Work, and Lies
This is my first Sanders Sides fan-fiction and… I’m actually pretty proud of it, partially because its one of the few fan-fictions I’ve finished.
Summery: Deceit spies on the sides. Not that surprising. He watches from a distance, never revealing himself. He sits, watches, and plans. But one day, he breaks into the mind-palace. Why? Because the dishes haven’t been done and that bothers him way more that it should. But he’ll only help this once!
Warnings: Deceit, lies, breaking and entering, forced magical silence, headcannons everywhere.
Deceit peered through the window set into a wall of the mind-palace. It was one of the few places he could use to look into the building, and possibly even sneak inside, though he hadn’t done that quite yet. For now, it was purely for spying. This specific window gave him a view into the kitchen and dining room areas, as they were more like one big room. Not exactly ideal; he’d much rather have had access to the light sides rooms, as he was sure he could glean more information from there, but hey, he’d take what he could get. He had actually learned some things from watching this specific window, one thing in particular being their routine.
Morality, or ‘Patton’, as he apparently preferred to be called, was usually the one who made the meals, though Deceit had no idea as to why he did. None of them actually needed food to function, something he knew Morality was aware of, as he had overheard Logic ('Logan’) stating that very fact on numerous occasions when they were having 'picnics’ out in the mindscape. So, taking that into consideration, what was the point of wasting time to make and consume it all? Even so, despite all of the reasoning against it, he often found himself wanting to try some of the food that Morality made, if only to see why he was always so eager to make it. He had to admit that sometimes the food the other side created looked rather good, not that he would ever really say it out loud.
The light sides would always gather for breakfast and dinner, eating together as a 'family’, while lunch was usually a free for all. If you wanted it, you could make something yourself. Sometimes the others would help to prepare the food, but that didn’t happen too often, as everyone has different responsibilities. After every meal (or after dinner, in lunch’s case), Morality would do the dishes, washing every single item until it sparkled.
It was the pattern. It was the rule.
Which was why Deceit found himself so confused at the sight before him. The sink not only had dishes in it, but it was full to the brim. And it was late. The others had all headed to their rooms long before now, but this simple task, something that was always completed before bed was left undone. He wasn’t sure exactly why that bothered him, but it did. The sight left a strange uneasy feeling in his chest, an odd force that urged him to action. He shoved the feeling down, casting one last glance at the sink before turning away. It wasn’t his problem, nor was it his responsibility. Morality would likely complete the task before they sat down for breakfast tomorrow, and if not, then he’d probably do it afterwards. There was no reason to get worked up about it.
He nodded to himself, and walked out into the unconscious.
