So I've mentioned Guilty as Sin? As a song for Jercy but I really want to explain it

I'm going to start this by saying that I mostly mean it PLATONICALLY so I just wanna explain why the vibes of this song match the vibes of their relationship cus I don't think anyone sees my vision lol

So I'm gonna dissect the lyrics. Hopefully it makes sense.

This makes me think of Jason at one of the camps talking to Percy and picturing him as he's in the mortal world in NYC

"This cage was once just fine/am I allowed to cry?" I think the "cage" refers to his predetermined destiny and the eyes of everyone at CJ. "Am I allowed to cry?" Refers to both his taught habit of keeping his emotions shut away and his being taught to follow orders and ask permission for anything he needs.

"Throwing my life to the wolves or the ocean rocks" makes me think of his indecision of whether he belongs with the Romans or at Camp Half Blood by the coast (and ocean rocks also alludes to Percy as the ocean boy, of course)

I do think the idea of Jason having catholic guilt for wanting affection from his friend is both sad, hilarious, and weirdly in character. This guy is laying awake at night thinking about how he wants to go to percys house and make cookies with him lmaoo hes like "...w-what if we sat together and played video games at ur apartment 😳😨🥺 and then we 😖 slept next to each other on the floor 😳😖 and stayed up talking in the dark for 3 hours 🥺🥺💕"

Jason feeling guilty as sin can be a lot of things, which is why I love this song for him. His friendship/bromance/relationship with Percy breaks several rules. Their fathers are rivals. Their camps have battled each other. Jason has always been seen as the son of Jupiter and never been allowed to explore his mortal half, and Percy gives him the ability to learn more about what life is like in a mortal household.

Also the "touching his skin" part means that jason is super touch starved and thinks about hugging his friends 24/7 and this does not exclude Percy by any means lol

Jason feels so much love for his bro and wants to spend so much time with him but his Issues(TM) prevent him from conveying that because he's never really had anyone stick around or be loyal to him like Percy does. While thinking about Percy, he also thinks about how another of his friends (probably Piper or Annabeth) told him there's no such thing as thought crime and it's not wrong to think or feel things. He's at war with his past and having been taught that he must block out and hide his wants and feelings because they're dangerous and no one wants to hear them anyway.

He wants Percy to be friends with him and stick around forever, but it's difficult for him to believe that their friendship/bromance/relationship is serious and Percy will stick around until one of them is in the ground (which NEITHER OF THEM CURRENTLY ARE >:[)

CJ and Jason's father especially is never going to love Jason or see him as the perfect son of Jupiter. They will always judge him, especially since he's indecisive about what camp he belongs in. If he spends time in his mortal side with Percy, it's a much needed break from trying to be Camp Jupiter's prettiest weapon or Camp Half Blood's weird Roman freak who was raised by wolves.
