useless switch discovery of the day Natsumes hair roots are located on the left, soras are located in the middle and tsumugis are located on the right. Does this mean anything. Am i reaching. Probably the latter HOWEVER is it not cute how their designs compliment each other in every way. like wow. truly covering all the basis when it comes to literally anything. you can turn this into something symbolic if you try. like how they consistently have a theme of Covering All The Bases. such as tsumugi being the past, natsume the present, sora the future. natsume being the dawn, sora being the day, tsumugi being the night. sora being "the kid," natsume being "the teen," tsumugi being "the adult." so i think its fascinating that its extended even to the roots of their hair. Wow........ their roots................. another tool for metaphors............... Anyway its approaching 2am and i dint get alot of sleep last night can you tell

Mikoto's amnesia, denial, and the order of events in MeMe
So my theory about the memories detailed in MeMe, as per Milgram's record of Mikoto being the "guilty one," is pretty simple. The events in the outerworld are completely jumbled, and I believe the bulk of them take place right after Mikoto's "first" murder if there were indeed multiple victims. This is gonna be a very basic look at the "flashback"/"real-life" sequences in MeMe. I feel like this may have been done before but I mostly just see analysis on the headspace/symbolism in the video and not the implications of the real-world bits, but this video has been discussed to death so I can't be the only one who's thought about it lol
In the first part of our timeline, we see lots of static and Mikoto swinging a bat at someone as the train goes by. I imagine the tracks were where the body itself was disposed of. Mikoto's "dream" shows faraway 3rd-person angle and it's almost as if he's watching "himself" commit the crime. However, the face of the victim, his own expression, and the injuries inflicted are obscured from his view the whole scene.
Tumblr media
It abruptly cuts to him entering his house after this, which is where I believe Mikoto's memory starts to get patchier. The moments after a trauma are when the brain is still reeling from shock, after all. After his first dream sequence where he expresses confusion, I believe the second verse is filling in the gaps of what happened between finishing the crime and changing his clothes. You can't lie in Milgram though, and sharing a brain means sharing memories, no matter how deeply they are buried. The memory gets more detail as he is examined more, and it's already common for brains to remember things out of order. Mikoto is shown to be in-and-out of his headspace in MeMe; the memories of how "he" saved "him" (the other alter, likely a big part of who John would become) are not all his own, even if the choice to kill was.
I believe that chronologically, this is the next scene.
Tumblr media
Presumably John, processing what they've done, recognizing himself as "not Mikoto" for the first time. Mikoto, then, is seeing "himself" from yet another angle, completely upside-down.
It abruptly cuts again, his jacket having been taken off. His face is once again obscured, like Mikoto remembers doing it but not as "himself."
Tumblr media
The angle here is more first-person, implying that Mikoto clearly remembers "dreaming" this part.
Tumblr media
This is right before he goes home. He's disposed of the beanie, and presumably the jacket and bat.
Mikoto walking in his door immediately after the confrontation is likely exactly how he felt at the time. I believe this next line of dialogue is an alter, likely John or pre-John, speaking to him. "You don't have to keep it in and hide it away, 'I' will save 'me."" (Worth mentioning that "Boku" is used both times here.) It's the first time in the song he refers to himself as "you," which I feel like is pretty common for alters to do to each other even before they realize that they're completely separate ego states. This cut from the first verse, where it jumped right after the murder, shows him in the same pants and shirt he took the trash out in. This implies that Mikoto blacked out most of the way home, which tracks for an event as traumatic as killing a guy.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
This part abruptly cuts to him on the couch, in new clothes and no longer covered in blood. As I said earlier, I believe Mikoto's memory begins to come back in bits and pieces as Milgram scans it, which is why the second part is where we actually see him getting cleaned up.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Just as he realizes he's fading in and out, and there seems to be someone on the other side who "doesn't care" that they've killed someone, he gets kicked back into headspace. Since he's in Milgram, that space could be defined as the present moment, while the memories themselves are reflecting more like flashbacks than a linear story.
That's why we see this next part so early, even though it happened after his clean-up work.
Here we see Mikoto's alter, either John or "Midokoto" (plausible 3rd alter show urself challenge impossible likely literally impossible look at that trauma-holding sonofabitch) banishing Mikoto to the shadow realm /j. No blood, new clothes, numb to the world and very clearly trying to forget. "That had to have been a dream" type shit.
Tumblr media
Ironically, alters who the host doesn't notice know when they're controlling the body better than the host, who takes it for granted like they're supposed to. If you don't know what DID is, it's easy to be aware that you are technically "working together" with yourself but not understand why it feels that way.
We're also shown this scene where he comes home from work, in the instrumental between Mikoto's Denial choruses. This is the answer to his question of "why?". He was running himself ragged and literally watching himself fall apart from the stress. Assuming he threw out that jacket, this could be interpreted as the days leading up to the murder.
Given that he doesn't have his beanie despite retaining the rest of the outfit, it could also be him continuing to go through the motions and act like the event didn't happen in the days after. I sure wouldn't throw out that shirt, it's a cool shirt. (Actually, it's such a cool shirt that I personally think it further proves the lack of pre-meditation, but like he still did it lol)
Tumblr media
I think that in Mikoto's case, the farther away the camera is, the farther "our" Mikoto is from the front. It all happened so fast that his decisions were carried out for him, despite Milgram and his own sense of guilt determining that he himself was the one to take that path.
I don't think he's just talking to Es when he becomes more intense/angry about "why am I here?". I think he's speaking to his alter(s) as well. But I'm only allowed 10 images so I'll post about that later. The line "You don't have to keep it in and hide it away" from when he walks in his door contrasts directly with "Hurting it, holding it down, it doesn't change a thing does it?" Says a lot about how he dismissed his own stress and desire for change, unwittingly dismissing the pain of the people trying to help him.
He literally knows not what he does grrrrrr how dare this project be so fucking cool and good

I like how Jamie is wearing light clothes with the dark background and Roy’s wearing dark clothes with the light background. I think it’s nice symbolism about their personalities and how they deal with darkness in their lives.

Superstar Luo Binghe au. All the directors beg him to be in their movies because his fame will immediately assure success for anything they make. He’s handsome, charming, dedicated, and most of all, extremely talented. He even does his own stunts!! Women love him, and men who say they hate him will still watch his movies so they can figure out how to be more like him.
The only weird thing about Binghe as an actor is that he refuses to star in romantic films. He won’t kiss anyone, won’t pretend to date someone on screen, won’t even let another actor take over his role for the scenes he doesn’t want to do. His reason? He’s completely loyal to his husband.
Everyone thinks it’s stupid, obviously. You aren’t “cheating” by pretending to love someone else, it’s literally your job! Luo Binghe still refuses and says even he’s not good enough an actor to make anyone believe he could ever love someone other than Yuan-ge.
His fans hate this mysterious Yuan-ge. Because of his (probably insecure and jealous) spouse, all of Binghe’s fangirls cant see him sweep some y/n character off their feet. It’s even worse because they don’t know anything about this guy. Whenever someone asks to see or learn about Binghe’s husband, the star says he’ll never reveal Yuan-ge to the public, because he’s too beautiful and he doesn’t want everyone falling in love with him.
People kind of run with the idea that obviously this guy must be a total weirdo who Binghe is embarrassed to be seen with. That has to be the explanation, because no matter how perfect someone is, how can they have such a chokehold on THE LUO BINGHE??
Then, one day, years after Luo Binghe’s initial rise to fame…. He goes on a talkshow. With his husband Shen Yuan.
Obviously EVERYONE tunes in. No one uses TVs anymore bc of the internet, but just for this show, viewer ratings are the highest theyve ever been. Everyone wants to know what the fuss is all about with this guy to have Luo Binghe so down horrible.
And Shen Yuan isn’t a weirdo. He’s also not some pretty yesman. He makes jokes that make the audience burst into laughter. He’s opinionated, which is really refreshing when every other celebrity stays neutral on every topic to avoid losing fans. He’s polite, but he’s not a pushover. He’s likeable, but he’s not a try-hard about it. Referencing memes makes him an instant hit with the younger generations, and the calm gentle way he talks makes him a hit with the older ones. All of a sudden everyone is going, okay we see why Luo Binghe is obsessed with him.
Except… while shen yuan was making jokes and charming everyone, Luo Binghe was at his side, pathetically pawing at his husband for attention. The actor keeps whining every two minutes to be reassured yuan-ge still likes him. Whenever Shen Yuan compliments the host, Binghe looks like he’s about to cry. Whenever Luo Binghe jealously wraps his arms around shen Yuan everyone watching just rolls their eyes. Seeing them together people realize… shen yuan is the one that’s out of Luo Binghe’s league.
In just one hour public opinion goes from ‘no one can be worth binghe acting like that for’ to ‘luo binghe is so annoying, let shen yuan talk!!’
The next day someone finds shen yuan’s twitter and it blows up. He has his own fan pages now. There’s no pictures of him online other than the footage from the talkshow, so the fan accounts just post that over and over again. Shen yuan retweets a post about him with the caption “i never realized she was holding a plate of corn in this scene” and everyone loses their mind. Everything he says immediately goes viral bc that’s luo binghe’s attic wife.
People start nagging Binghe to post about Shen Yuan bc theyre so attached after his one and only publicized appearance. Binghe is super possessive, but yuan-ge tells him not to worry, so he relents and posts pictures of him and shen yuan on vacation. They’re together, holding hands… but shen yuan’s face and body are blurred out. It’s HORRIFYING. He looks like an eldritch monster bc luo binghe refuses to let anyone look at his yuan-ge in a swim suit, go away you perverts!! His instragram is now just full of pics of shen yuan where his eyes are blacked out so noone else can see how pretty they are. It’s nightmare fuel
Shen Yuan is unfortunately too unbothered to post pictures of himself. Everyone’s tired of Luo Binghe for “hogging shen yuan all to himself” when Shen Yuan is practically an internet celebrity now.
People go to watch movies and their theatre conversations sound like this:
“Oh, Luo Binghe’s in this one!”
“Who?”
“You know Shen Yuan’s annoying husband?”
“OH THAT GUY..”

from the ask meme, numbers 36 and 56 please
36. Do you keep a daily journal or agenda?
Journal: you are reading it, my blog is the closest thing i have to a journal
Agenda: I have in the past but i find it's not terribly useful; i don't work well with more than a few tasks on my plate. so i usually just try to put post-its in places near where the things are that need doing
56. Favorite low-effort meal that you make?
Chili. I take an onion, some fresh chili peppers, and a green bell pepper and throw them in a blender, then brown a pound or so of meat in a dutch oven with a packet of taco seasoning and maybe some chili powder, then stir in the pepper-onion puree along with a few cans of beans and a can of crushed tomatoes. then bring to boil and reduce to simmer for an hour or two covered. and serve with corn chips, cheese, and plain greek yogurt.
it's about 15-20 minutes of effort but there's very little chopping and it's mostly just stirring the pot and you have a whole pot of chili at the end. so i think it's worth it in terms of effort/reward

LOST - from the meme
Glimpses of the Past LOST: a scene from my muse's past in which they felt lost, literally or figuratively
Greyson shuffled the pan over the heat, the stir fry in the wok sizzling with each practiced toss. His gaze locked in on each movement, as if the intensity of his stare might cook the food faster than the stovetop. He watched the sauce sizzle against metal as it thickened, the vegetables soften, discoloring from the heat.
Simple. A simple enough dish, easy.
It was second nature to pull it when it was was ready, sliding the contents over a plate of noodles. He stared, tapping his fingers against the countertop. Steam curled up from the plate, and the light glistened against the pieces of chicken, reflected off the moisture.
He took a moment to mix the plate, and to add the garnishes he always had. A sprinkle of sesame seeds. He stared longer. Another stir, another lingering gaze.
His fingers moved faster now. Tap tap tap. Taptaptap. He pushed off the counter with an arm to find chopsticks. A pair of ceramic ones he had tucked away. He adjusted his grip, and leaned back over the plate, hand hovering just above.
Still hovering.
An annoyed exhale broke the silence, and he shoved the utensil in with more force than necessary. A few good stirs, and he lifted a coiled lock of pasta, woven into a small ball by the ends of his chopsticks. He lifted it, watching a few loose noodles return to the plate, before finally forcing it into his mouth.
The texture was perfectly cooked. The chicken was springy, soft. He could feel the sesame seeds on his tongue, and the faint crunch when he bit down on one. The vegetables offered their own crunch, a different kind, that fell apart easily. He could tell the minute differences by the mouth-feel alone, of the carrots, the peppers, the baby corn and the broccoli. He could feel the tougher texture of a greenbean pod, and the way they beans themselves slid free of the casing as he bit down.
The flavor was absent. A medley of texture, soft and crunchy and tender, and nothing else.
His lips thinned into a line as he chewed, thinner and thinner, his nostrils flaring. The hand holding the chopsticks began to shake, to vibrate. The nothing in his mouth was heavy.
He threw the chopsticks across the room, barely hearing them clatter against the wall and floor. His fist banged against the countertop once and then again. "Fuck---- just--FUCK!"
A hand wound through his hair, brushing back the thick mess. He stared at the plate with hollow eyes. What....what was he going to do?
The hand wound around, to drag down his face. He took the plate to the trash, dumping the contents, before dropping it and the wok both into the sink; they clattered against the stack of dishes, piled high with pans and bowls and plates. The chef in him withered at the sight, but he ignored the feeling.
What did it matter, if he wasn't maintaining good habits like the chef he was supposed to be? Could he even be one?
No. That wasn't productive. Neither was this tantrum. He'd clean the dishes by the end of the night. Instead his shoulders drew up further, and he found a new pan in his hand. He adjusted the burner, and pulled even more ingredients from the fridge.
He just had to find--- the thing that worked. The thing that fixed this.
Something. Anything.

I've just seen a gif compilation of an Autralian presential debate where some journalist would shove, instead of a microphone, various food items into the candidate's face. A chicken drumstick. A corn on the cob. A whole ass baguette. The candidate looked sooooo done with it.
All I could think about was... this totally sounds like Sadie's last resort to get some attention from Walker and I was DYING. It would totally start off as a mistake, instead of taking out her phone for a quote, she would extend whatever food container/wrapper she would be holding becuase she's always snacking. People would see and Sadie would become a meme once again. She'd get frustrated at first, but then she'd just start tapping into it.
Not an ask but I just thought it would be hilarious to share hahaha
oh my god YES!! Sadie with the giant plate of chicken drumsticks from ep 1 when she "ate half the coop" as grace said, and shoving one into walkers face would be everything.
before i read the second half of your ask I was imagining kmcg playing a presidential candidate and sadie doing this to her. an enemies to lovers au where they stop being enemies after kmcg's character actually takes some of the food sadie has been shoving at her (turns out she was just hangry)
