Please ignore that you can very clearly tell that there’s something weird with the seal, I completely messed up the coloring and had to literally cut out another piece of paper in the shape of the seal and glue it on top because I didn’t wanna start the whole drawing again from the beginning and then had like no energy to try and make it actually look good.

I lied actually I do have a Kian hc. I like to think that he would go to Rand's house on some of his bad nights & would go to Rolan's house whenever Rand got grounded, but never really told them what was going on. Just that he was "bored and wanted to hang out" and he would smoke or drink with them until he felt less dead. Same with Becky, while they were dating he would spend the night at her house a lot. (Idk if this made any sense, I'm brainroting about bitb at 5 AM rn lol)

YEAH DEFINITELY I feel like he’d avoid being at home as much as possible, especially when he wasn’t feeling good. He’d try to act casual about it but the others probably would be able to tell that there was something more going on underneath the surface because they know him too well.

God Kian’s bad nights after everything… Becky’s parents sent her away, Rand’s doing horribly because of Rachel being gone, Rolan’s isolating from everyone because of the whole dying thing… and Kian’s left with nobody to go to. Either he doesn’t want to risk burdening his friends when they’re already struggling, or he does try to go to them and they don’t let him in.

Kian diving even further into all of his self-destructive habits, going to parties and getting drunk and high and sleeping with people to avoid being alone with his thoughts, I can imagine him willingly sleeping outside some days just to avoid having to be at home… and Rand and Rolan never even found out about any of it because Kian never let them </3

Hi tumblr user plantwriting, as you are the definitive authority on kian stone(real) I thought I would ask your opinion on what species you think Winged kian stone would be !

For this I gave myself the parameters of looking at birds native to louisiana (but thats still a pretty big selection). My first thought was some sort of pigeon/dove. I would personally say the mourning dove(left) for its sad cry seems similar to his songs. To the right is the Summer Tanager, which is both the reddest bird I have ever seen, and a songbird.

Next possiblity is a hummingbird. Although I would like to give Kian a larger wingspan I do think their need for constant movement and bright colors is very reminiscent of him. For this I have one I really like, the Calliope Hummingbird(left). Named for Greek muse of epic poetry(kinda similar to songwriting) its the smallest bird native to the united states and canada. Also look at the pumage, tell me thats not Kian.

Next, also pictured above is the Red-billed tropic bird. I like the idea of him being a seabird, and the red beak, and tail streams remind me of his coat and general color scheme.

Finally honorable mentions go to Swans, Flamingos, the red bellied woodpecker, bluejay(noisy and bold, mate for life). (Not honorable mention as their less Kian, just I thought this was getting too long lol)(Sorry if this is too long an ask)

Akhsksgdjdgs i lpve them all…. Truth be told i do not know much about birds but i think all of them absolutely fit, the calliope hummingbird especially i think….. the colors fit him so well and yeah the hummingbird things of needing to be moving pretty much constantly and such also fit him v well!!!! And oh those colors… also i may be slightly biased by an obsession with greek mythology and the name but just. It does fit him so well!!!

But also i think a pigeon or a dove of some kind is so fitting for kian, ohhhhh now i’m just imagining kian mourning dove and rand rock pigeon… i feel like a bird that’s like pretty common and maybe seen as a nuisance but that’s also very pretty would fit kian very well like. Thematically. He could even be a corvid though that might also fit rolan better.

I feel like some kind of robin could also be very fitting for him, just like an american robin i think fits with the color scheme and with a pretty song :) but all the birds you suggested also fit him so well aaaaaaaaa sorry this is probably. So unhelpful lol

Hellooooo sorry im responding a bit late BUT YES ABSOLUTELY!!!!

Right now. Kian thoughts about when he was a kid. We know his parents weren’t good, we know they were cultists and drug addicts and almost definitely very neglectful. And to me this works very interestingly with Kian’s lying tendencies. Because I feel like he originally learnt to lie for his parents.

Kids with abusive or neglectful parents will almost always try to justify the treatment they face to both themselves and others (speaking from experience), and it makes sense that Kian would learn to lie to protect his parents. That he’d come up with pre planned excuses and answers to any questions people might have that he couldn’t respond honestly to.

And one possible example of this that I can think of is Kian’s last name. We know his parents didn’t give it to him, because they “wanted him to choose his own identity” or something. But the thing is, we can’t really even know if that’s true, because Kian is saying it. And he’s saying it to Rand’s dad, not exactly a person he’d have any reason to be honest with. To me it’s entirely possible that his parents really just couldn’t be bothered to name him and Kian came up with the “finding himself” excuse to defend them. Maybe even to justify their behavior to himself.

And can I say that for sure? No. Obviously not. But that’s one of the parts of Kian that are the most fun, we DON’T KNOW. Because he lies so much that there’s barely anything that we can know 100% to be true. And those are mostly things that Grizzly has confirmed later on (like Kian’s sexuality for example) because nothing Kian says in the actual campaign can be trusted. And I love it so so much because it means we get to speculate and have headcanons and project whatever issues we want onto him <3
