Plant-creature Sam, a concept art for my fic 'Neon Green and Cold Blue' on ao3, here's a link for those interested. It's a cyberpunk DPxDC AU with some mild, errr, mind-connection vibes? It's also a Dead Tired fic, yes.

I have some more art in progress for it, this is just the first page I've finished, more or less. Any tips on how to better transfer drawings from traditional to digital?

Manson family relations

The GIW had finally done it. They had declared marshal law in Amity Park. The complete lockdown started three days ago and they had surrounded her house. Sam was lucky her parent never skimped on home defense. They had gotten advice straight from Bruce Wayne after all and it was reinforced with Fenton Tech.

When the lockdown first started Sam's and a bunch of other parents went to complain, and the GIW had simply opened fire. They were gone now, along with most other parents. She didn't know where the Fentons were. Tucker, Jazz, and all the other kids were hold up in the school, under siege by the GIW just like her. The Fentons had also fortified the school. FentonWorks went up in green ecto-fire yesterday. Sam doesent know why.

Danny had been blown out of the sky getting everyone left to safety. He had been unconscious in her bed for over 24 hours now. Sams only comunication with the outside world had been from her grandma Ida, who was vacationing in Florida, and said that she was sending family.

Sam was trying to figure out what that meant when she heard gun fire outside. Not ecto-guns but real guns and explosions. It was getting closer.

Glass shattered from inside the house and her emotions boiled. There was no way she was gonna let them inside the house. Sam raged as every house plant her mother thought was fake sprung to life and lashed out at the intruder. Swords slashed vines and guns riddled pots and plants with bullets till a man in an orange and black battle suit stood in front of her. He had two sword and alot of guns. He took off his helm revealing and aged face with a missing eye as he spoke.

" Relax little Poison ivy, Ida sent me. My name is Slade Wilson and Im your grandfather."

Introducing Danny, Sam, and Tucker!

Extra Notes:

+ Sam and Tucker serve as the King’s advisors and protectors. They are also his right and left hand.

+ Sam’s design was actually meant for the Celestial Object AU, but I reused it for this :) It’s meant to look a little supervillain-y, and has BDSM inspired designs bc I think the thorns look like bondage T-T

+ The blue braids on Tucker’s mask are supposed to be historically accurate, since Egyptian gods are often given hair of lapis lazuli in art, which symbolizes how different they are from humans. Egyptian men would sometimes shave their heads for the heat, but since baldness isn’t attractive, they wore wigs. Tucker still has his hair tho.

+ Tucker’s designs were taken off of Anubis statues and paintings. He is not a pharaoh in my eyes bc gods are above men :) He is also Anubis and not Osiris bc I think Danny would be Osiris instead, kinda like Hades and Thanatos.

+ Danny and deer is something I enjoy combining bc 1) deer are freaking CREEPY, 2) deer have a history with death, AKA chronic wasting disease or zombie deer disease, 3) deer are surprisingly way more complex and interesting than you think bc there have been accounts of them eating meat (like birds) and walking off fatal injuries, 4) antlers are cool.

Dp x Dc AU: Tucker gets hired by the JL to work on the Watchtower’s cybersecurity... He might have a few friends visit. 

Batman looked over the application for visitors presented to him by Dr. Foley, who was nervously wringing his hands but seemed excited to talk about his two close associates, and it appeared that everything was in order for the pair to be allotted a short visitation time slot. 

The paperwork was established by Batman himself after all, needing a way to permit non-members (His Children) to visit him at his office in the watchtower. Looking over Dr. Foley’s application, the invites to Dr. D. Fenton and Dr. S. Manson seemed to be somewhat warranted.

Dr. Fenton is a well known astrophysicist and Dr. Foley had been upping the security to reflect more complex physics models as the ‘lock’ mechanism for access to Watchtower servers. Dr. Manson was a more controversial figure in social justice but a biochemist to rival Dr. Pamela Isley, not to mention she was someone Bruce Wayne had met a number of times and not completely hated (though he was sure she hated him and everyone else in the gala). She was a fan favorite guest by his children and a great advocate for animal and human rights. 

Batman approves the application, allowing their visitation for a few hours at a time once a week until the completion of Dr. Foley’s project. 

He doesn’t hear much from it, nor from Dr. Foley, but things start to come down the rumor grapevine that the two guests were more than they seemed. Red Robin was the first to comment on it to him, and as practical and efficient Tim could be, there was a look of chaos in his smile as he discussed the two additional PhDs. He was stingy on details and that always meant something bad for Bruce’s mental health. A few others asked a few questions as to who exactly the pair were visiting, and Cyborg commented that they weren’t really doing too much to assist Dr. Foley. 

Batman decides to intervene and meet these two for himself when he hears Constantine complain (not that the man wasn’t always complaining about something) about the two new magic users being way too OP for normal humans. 

This is how the JL gets to become allied with Ghost King Phantom and Thorn (not Poison Ivy pt.2 as Robin insisted). Turns out they weren’t sure if the JL could be trusted with interdimensional politics, so Tucker spent the last two years gaining their trust to let Danny and Sam up here to ‘check the place out’ before they committed to becoming members. 

Batman doesn’t even get to raise alarms at the espionage of it all because Red Robin has already programed their new badges and welcomed them on with open arms and a project to take down the LOA’s Lazarus Pits “safely”.

Day 6: Immortal AU

DC x DP Prompt

Sam gets Summoned

So instead of Danny being the one summoned, this time it’s Sam. Like, being possessed by Overgrowth (or whatever he’s name is stupid plant ghost :/ ) , made her get some cool plant powers and stuff. 

So the cult is trying to summon Overgrowth to return Earth to its former green glory or whatever. But instead gets this small goth girl. Who is suddenly looking very pissed off and angry. And oh no. They try to be really respectful and stuff because what if this is Overgrowth putting them through a test? So they toss their sacrifices into the circle because of course the entity is not happy until it gets what it was promised. 

The sacrifices are probably either Poison Ivy who they somehow got (most likely through threatening Harley than knocking them both out to use as sacrifices) or Red Hood since Jason was dead and all plus Lazarus Pits. (Or Batfamily if you’re more partial to that but I did not think of this prompt with them in mind as the sacrifices lol)

So Sam is really confused and pissed off cause she was in the middle of something with Danny and Tucker and both of those idiots are probably freaking out, so she needs to get back as soon as possible. So she just gives a nasty (burger) glare and just waves her hands. Plants start sprouting from the ground and knocking the cult out. Once Sam done she just rolls her eyes in all her goth glory and walks over to the sacrifices to untie them. Poison Ivy then just watches everything play out with amusement as Harley tries to cheer Sam on. If the sacrifices are Poison Ivy and Harley or Red Hood than they compliment Sam on her skills. If it’s anyone else it’s up to your imagination.

So yeah that happens. Depending on who the sacrifices are, after an undetermined time talking Sam just walks back to the summoning circle. She knows all about this stuff due to all the rants Danny goes on and on with about people being so inconsiderate when summoning him. So she just concentrates and taps into either her liminal status, powers due to Overgrowth, or ectoplasm residue in her system and reverse summons herself back to Amity.

The rest of the bats burst in just as Sam starts to reverse summon herself. And are freaking out or shocked before she is just gone. They only get a few glimpses at her and they can’t grasp the colours since the summoning circle starts to glow bright green. Poison Ivy and Harley won’t really tell them anything since they are amused at the bats frustration. (Bats knew to rescue them cause Selena told them that they were missing; Sirens are reformed(?) in this AU)

So the bats are trying to find out more information on this being the cult summoned and the Sirens aren’t really being that helpful. Selena finds it hilarious after Ivy and Harley inform her what happened. 

Just imagine a few months later there’s a Wayne Gala going on and the Mansons were invited so of course they came and dragged Sam along. Who also ended up dragging Danny and Tucker along. And the bats casually freak out when they see this girl who looks kinda like the being they saw in that warehouse a few months ago. Oh gods above. Poison Ivy please pick up. Please don’t let this be another Gala being crashed. They can handle their rouges, not inter-dimensional beings they have no information about. 

Danny and Tucker naturally finds this hilarious.

Until Tucker gets summoned a month later.

~~~ Please excuse the horrible everything. I am writing this very late, but I had to do a brain dump since this was haunting (haha) my brain. I literally had this idea pop up and not go away while trying to fall asleep. There are so many run off sentences, but I can’t bring myself to care anymore. Sleep waits for no man, woman, or in between before claiming their conscience for a few hours (or days). I might come back later to fix this up and fill plot holes. But that’s a huge maybe. Also I couldn’t be bothered to actually searched up Overgrowth’s real name lol or to fact check anything. My brain is gone. Into the wind. :p

Plant Queen Sam

It's been getting worse. This itching that Sam feels beneath her skin. It started after Undergrowth. The longer she spends away from plants, the more irritating it gets. It helps to meditate and work in her greenhouse, but it's never enough.

That's why she's going camping this weekend. She already told the boys, and she's bringing a wrist ray, a satellite phone, a panic button and a thermos in addition to standard camping gear.

As soon as the last bell rung, Sam was out the door and on her way to her bike, small storage container behind it packed with all her camping needs. She waved to Danny and Tucker as they made their way to Tucker's car and then promptly booked it to the trailhead by Lake Eerie.

The itching seemed to abate a bit as she made her way deeper into the forest and parked her bike. Without stopping to make camp, she tore off her helmet and took off running down the trail. She didn't notice as sprouts began to form the deeper into the forest she ran until they were beginning to sprout from beneath her feet, causing her to stumble into a clearing filled with wildflowers.

She breathed in deeply and did something she hadn't dared herself to try before. She tried to connect with the plants around her. She lay in the wildflowers, just breathing in their scent and trying to extend her mind out to them.

She imagined being a plant, starting from such small and humble beginnings and fighting through the soil to begin stretching, reaching towards the sun. Felt the heat upon her leaves as it strengthened her and felt her roots dig deeper into the soil searching for nutrients and water. She imagined the network of roots, all the living things connected to each other and doing their part to make the world turn. She imagined spending her life just trying to grow, grow, grow-

She snapped out of it as a shadow crosses her face.

The plants around her are now several feet taller than they were before.

She hit the panic button necklace she promised to bring.

Prompt 83

Danny… might have done an oopsie. It wasn’t a big oopsie, probably! He had panicked, it wasn’t his fault! It was their first time in Gotham seeing as his parents were banned for some reason or other, and he was on two hours of sleep after the plane ride! 

It’s not his fault the three of them and this tiny child in traffic-light colors are now stuck in this uh, what did you call it again, digital world? It’s not his fault they’re stuck in this digital world with digital monsters! What was that reapmon? Oh, digimon, not digital monsters? Alright cool. 

Of course Sam has already befriended the giant goth plant, that’s… not surprising actually. Tucker, you can be in heaven later, what is he supposed to do with this, how old are you? What is he supposed to do with this human ten year old whose adult-vigilante (wow did he wish he had one of those) is probably going to be freaking out?

No he can not just open up a portal back home, infinite realms, remember?! He has to figure out where they are and calculate how to get home!

What if, every Halloween, the trio transformed into their evil ghost selves just to cause a little mischief? Nothing too crazy, of course, but they love to mess with everyone.

King Tuck would cast petty curses just to ruin someone's day.

Danny enjoys creating conflict among people, such as making a clone to possess someone and stir up trouble.
