Happy New Yearās Day everybody; admin here. I must say: 2025 is starting to look like an A+ year in my book. It got even better when the newest episode of Sodorās Finest released earlier today and youāll never guess who it was centered on this time. Hereās a hint: heās #11. If you answered: Oliver, then congrats; you know basic Sodor knowledge.
Deep down, I had a gut feeling that Unlucky Tug might cover Oliver. Though I had hoped heād do Daisy this time only because her Model Era history is downright hilarious! Iāll explain why in a later post. But letās just say, she definitely left an impression on the producers šš.
Upon further/pleasurable viewing, I discovered that neither Dulcie or Isabel received proper characterization. They were more props for Oliverās overarching story to unfold. Itās a shame because they couldāve had an interesting dynamic with Oliver & Toad.
Hereās how I imagine the coachesā personalities would be like: Isabel would undeniably be May Parker from Spider-Man. Her ļæ¼resilience as well as stern but fair nature would act as a mother/aunt figure to keep Oliver in line. Dulcie would be like that fun aunt everyone wants to see. Sheās fun when with the kids but stern when the parents are around (ex: Isabel). Together; Toad and Isabel would serve as the Aunt May & Uncle Ben of the Little Western. Whilst Oliver would undeniably be Peter Parker/Spider-Man. It all makes the most sense to me. I hope you enjoy this parallel as well as the new Sodorās Finest episode.

Until she came. She worked to preserve as many engines as possible. She knew they were misunderstood beings, not simply objects. She knew they deserved to be loved. And she loved them.

As years went by, every engine was scared of the moment they wouldn't run anymore
Railways which reused parts of engines beyond repair would soon hear cases of similarly built and unknown locomotives running lost by the smelters and scrapyards they faced their final moments at
Screech noises, screams and cacophonous mechanicals sounds would pest these yards for years to come, they were looking for their parts and would scare shunters of steam and diesel alike
Owners wouldn't mind, thinking it was a silly spooky story or a trick someone was trying to pull on the living engines

Good afternoon fellow Sudrians. This month certainly has proven to be one of the busiest times 2024 has seen so far. But, in order to establish order in this chaotic season, I refer you to a sacred moment in the classic era of our religiously watched show. More specifically: All At Sea. As Unlucky Tug said, āthis episode is the epitome of what the classic series did best; exploring new sides of the characters that were never fully present in the books.ā ļæ¼ļæ¼ļæ¼
Taking place during the summer of 1966, duck and Percy are seen working at the Harbor on what will soon be the little western. Duck begins daydreaming about what it would be like to visit lands beyond the Horizonļæ¼ļæ¼ļæ¼ļæ¼. Throughout the course of the episode, he learns a pretty grand moral.ļæ¼ Yāall know what it is by now so I wonāt reiterate. ļæ¼But I have to say: this is, by far, One of my favorite episodes of season three hands-down. No doubt itās probably your favorite as well. ļæ¼ļæ¼ļæ¼So when you need a moment of clarity, look no further than the season three episode: All at Sea.ļæ¼ļæ¼

Good morrow fine denizens of this Railway utopia. I figured that with this day in full swing, I thought Iād share a tribute to one of my favorite engines on the railway: Duck. Heās a hardworking daydream believer (that last line referring to a song by Davy Jones) and a bit of a stick-in-the-mud. But he works hard too and makes everything run like clockwork.
With the holidays fast approaching, I figured that December would be an excellent time to showcase Duck in all his glory. Iām glad he came back to work on Sodor. Who wouldnāt want to work with our favorite Great Western engine? None of the big engines thatās for true. So ring in the holidays with Duck the Great Western Engine and remember; there are two ways of doing things: The Great Western way or the wrong way. Always go with the Great Western way!

I wuvs my great western engine š

Evening guys; admin here to inform you of something I found extraordinary. Thereās a show on Brit Box called Sister Boniface Mysteries where a nun basically solves mysteries for the local police. Now youāre probably thinking: whatās this got to do with Thomas & Friends?
Well, hereās where the kicker comes in: around Christmas š time, one of their mysteries takes place aboard a GWR auto-coach pulled by none other than a 5700x pannier tank engine. Sound like a certain Great Western engine we all know? Hmm š. What makes this even better is near the end when a pregnant š¤° lady gives birth in a goods van and the whole cast recreates the famous nativity scene.
That whole scene right there really gives new meaning to the phrase: āGodās Wonderful Railwayā. I guess Duck was right; there really are two ways of doing things: the wrong way orā¦The Great Western Way! It has since become my favorite Yuletide mystery special. I highly recommend you check it out; you will not regret it. Plus, it would be a great idea for any Sodor YouTuber to recreate this with Duck playing a pivotal role in the overall story. Just saying š¤·š¼āāļø. On that note, I wish yāall a very merry Christmas š and an even greater new year.

Hot Take:
Evening all. Admin here to share a personal opinion with yāall. After watching Sodorās Finest about Diesel, Iāve come to realize that none of the eras fully got him right. I mean, in the Model Era, you could tell there was a devolution with him. He went from being a scheming, serial-manipulative villain to being a clumsy bully with an unnecessary redemption arc.
I never like that. Stuff like thatās better suited for other characters like Sir Handel or even Smudger. Like Unlucky Tug said himself, Diesel is a straight-up villain and as such, he deserves to be recognized as one. Kinda like the Disney villains from the ļæ¼renaissance era and everybody adores them.
It is for this reason alone that I prefer Diesel from the Thomas Creator Collective on YouTube. The earlier episodes (more specifically: Night of the Diesels & Return of Diesel) truly understood the full depth of Dieselās villainy. Hell, the latter utilized a freaking clone army just to conquer Sodor! How badass is that?!
Itās moments like these that truly emphasize the devious in Devious Diesel. He and Duck are like the Sherlock Holmes & Professor Moriarty of Sodor; both flawed yet one comes through at the end. Theyāre twisted reflections of each other. In my opinion, heās even more evil than Diesel 10 and he threatened to destroy the magic buffers in Magic Railroad.

Donald and Douglas
Theyāre awesome! In fact, I have both their personalities. One half being the blunt yet practical joker and the other being the quick-thinking leader type.

To be fair, Gordon was already a dick long before the reboot even occurred. It shouldn't come as a surprise to any of the Thomas/Sodor community.
Gordon back in the day: A dick with a compassionate side and could be seen as a good father figure to Thomas and Percy as they're bother mentally young and they could probably learn from from him and he could just do a good job at teaching them things as he does sometimes compliment them and support them through though times in a couple episodes.
Gordon now: A dick.
