Gordon - he was originally going to be a business jet, but my irl said he should be different from the Gman and Gman is definitely a business jet lolll so i gave gordon a more modern aerial/ground fighter, I rounded his hands and feet into paws and gave him fur so he still looked non-threatening. also spots that look like freckles because yes

Alyx - She’s the only (half) mech in this group sadly, i promise there will be more if i end up getting around to do some other characters. I wanted her design to be very sleek. i imagine her fur is like an otter’s. also she painted the orange on her metal parts :D The red bits on her chest and the line on her head is meant to replicate her little dyed bit of hair.

Adrian - similar to gordon, i wanted to make him look a little non threatening so he gets fur too. But i did let him keep his claws, aswell as adding yellow caution markings. I didnt want to make him an apache or an osprey because i feel like both of those aircrafts are closely associated with him already and i wanted to do something different (plus lowk he doesnt give me helicopter vibes.) I honestly only chose a super hornet because its what the Blue Angels used to fly and i saw them a few times as a kid. I also like its longer design compared to some of the other fighters that came out of that generation. (i originally made these a month or so ago and super hornets have quickly become one of my favorite aircrafts and its only fitting that adrian, my fav hl character, is an f/a-18 hehe)

Barney - i wanted his color palette to not be not that stark of a difference in color so im sorry if you cant see some of the color differences 😭 but the different blue color kind of acts like his stubble. grey hairs because yes. hes also the fluffiest in the group hehe. also also, he’s a civil aircraft because.. the man was not made for ts. also because of that scene in HL: E1 where hes helping escort some resistance members ngl

I’m still figuring out what planes some other characters will be (gman, kleiner, breen, eli…) and i plan on making refs for them eventually, even if nobody/i will ever use them LOL i just really like planes & planedragons if that wasnt obvious…. and like i mentioned before i plan on making some more mechs/half mechs! v excited for that

Ripslinger done for an AU where the vehicles are critters. His design is based off pterosaurs, mantids and dragonflies and is currently proudly showing off his nasty sky slicers. Most racers are heavily modified with synthetic parts.
