re: the person saying this is what we were always going to get because JJ was executive producer. Have they ever heard of producer in name only? JJ wasn't on set, and as you said, had no involvement in the script. Also, Rian went to JJ and asked him to cut out a hug between Rey and Luke in TFA because it didn't fit with his vision, proof that their visions were entirely different. Rian even admitted the writers of the movies haven't been talking/planning together. It's a mess of a free for all.

Well, look at it from the viewpoint of someone from Earth-2. Harrison Wells and The Flash disappear about the same time. Then Wells turns back up and Zoom is looking for him. Wells disappears AGAIN and Zoom is running amok all over the city, supremely pissed off (you know he has to be angry, because the guy is NOT patient, and since he killed Reverb, he’s stuck waiting on Cisco to open the breaches). And people, as a whole, are irrational and look for someone/something to blame. At least a few of them are going to go after Wells. 

And as much as Jesse says she has a life waiting for her, she’s been missing for months. The life waiting for her is not the one she left behind. And if her dad’s life was in danger, I have no doubt she’d give up that life to keep him safe.

And, yeah, Barry being weirded out by Harry and Cisco’s relationship is not 100% on Barry. Most of it, but not all of it.

I've gotten a ridiculous amount of knitting done this weekend because of MTS3K. Perfect thing to do while watching. But I still pause a lot because like you said, LONG EPISODES.

It’d be easier to finish episodes if I had something to do with my hands while watching. Maybe I should buy some of those adult coloring books...

Some nights it takes me over an hour just to finish a regular 42 minute episode by myself, let alone an entire movie.

They both totally do this.  Reverb especially when he pops over to surprise HR on Earth-19.

HR does this and complains about it being cold.  Reverb proceeds to wrap HR in his leather jacket and plonk a cup of warm coffee in his hands.

HR is weak for dating or dancing reality TV.  Reverb teases him about Vibing spoilers to them.

HR, definitely.  Though in Musician!Verse it’s a pretty even split.

Thanks for the info.  That’s still really weird though.  Like Pubby said in her post about it, it creates a plot hole in the soundtrack.  One second, Laurens is there, and the next he’s not, with no explanation (until you get to the duel scene, where Hamilton mentions Laurens leading a soldier’s chorus).

I understand what LMM is saying.  But Philip Hamilton gets his death song on the album.  Why didn’t they leave that one out?  Why just Laurens’s?  I’m still pretty frustrated about this.

This is why Spartacus made me so fucking happy. The fact that the show allowed for the gay couple to walk off into the sunset together (LITERALLY). It's so rare that a period piece features a queer character and then lets them be happy. I think it's half the idea that since acceptance is new to us (NVM that history isn't linear) that happiness for them couldn't exist then, and half that period pieces are slightly behind other forms of queer fiction and buy into the 80s/90s notion of queer misery

And you know, I’m actually not disregarding that narrative existing in the 80s/90s because I think it was important to talk about so people could understand how much queers suffered at their hands via lack of acceptance/hatred, not to mention AIDS. But I do wish period pieces would move forward and consider that there WERE queer people who made happy lives long before acceptance, and it’s time to tell their story too. Okay, I’ll shut up now. I ALWAYS WRITE YOU NOVEL LENGTH ANSWERS. SORRY.

I agree so much though. With a few exceptions (Spartacus ♥♥♥) (Tipping the Velvet) it feels like when it comes to the historical shows/movies I’ve seen that have confirmed queer characters, the BEST I can hope is for them to be unattached but alive by the end. And while that might be a nice change from the tendency to kill off queer characters in the narrative, I would like historical fiction to go that extra step and let them have some happiness, you know?

Yeah, Barry was in 2 eps of S2, and then Caitlin and Cisco were in another S2 ep, before The Flash officially premiered. Since then there’s been a good amount of character crossover between the 4 shows (and Legends of Tomorrow is essentially made up of characters who used to be on Arrow and The Flash). Arrow is the only one of the 4 I’m not caught up on. Oooops XD

LOL It’s funny how things work out. The show you started with isn’t the one you stuck with. But sometimes you just get snagged by characters of a different show~
