I love Croagunk and Toxicroak, but it's always bugged me that a mixed attacker evolves into a kind-of-mixed-but-really-just-a-physical attacker

I had asked for the wonky Toxicroak. If anyone else claimed such a title, then they are a charlatan and a fool. If you please, could you draw a little Toxicroak guy? I’d like him to be a punk with a crush on a Politoad ballerina…he was a punk, she was a ballet…need I say more???

0454 Toxicroak

so what exactly is a toxicroak’s iconic claw, anyway? would it surprise you to hear that it’s bone?

many people who don’t own a toxicroak or encounter them often don’t realize that the “claws” protruding from their hands aren’t actually always out. rather, much like clodsire, toxicroak actually forces its bones out of its body to use in battle. those claws are finger bones that have been broken, bent out of place, and pushed through the skin to allow for the delivery of the toxin stored in glands in the knuckles. this is accomplished by snapping a nodule in the tissues of the joints, severing the connective tissues. after a battle, the bone retracts and resets itself and the tissue rapidly regenerates- and by rapidly, i mean within 24 hours.

although this sounds gruesome, this process doesn’t seem to bother toxicroak, and they perform this behavior extremely readily. the longterm effects of repeatedly breaking and dislocating their own fingers appear to be borderline nonexistent, and some scientists have studied toxicroak’s healing factors in the hopes of applying their incredibly rapid recovery to broken bones and injuries in human bodies.

On anon so I dont out myself, but!

I really have been wanting to try and get into a relationship with some of my pokemon. Specifically! My Sandslash (who is admittedly already always a little frisky in general, but we haven't committed to anything yet, though I know he gets around), My Gliscor, my Grovyle, and there's this wild Scolipede that's been living in the forest near where I live that comes by often. Sometimes to play with Sandslash, and just! Augh, I love all my pokemon so much, from Haunter to Toxicroak I wish it was even a possible polycule to work out q~q

If anything, I think you already have the start of your journey there, so to speak. If your Sandslash is already frisky with you, he seems like the best one to talk to first. Especially if you're interested in an eventual polycule. Whether people or pokemon, having more than two people in an intimate relationship takes even more work and more time.

In this instance, your best approach is to just have a chat with him and see if you two can come to some agreement. Unless of course there's something stopping you from approaching him and taking it further?

If you're really hesitant to start with your Sandslash for whatever reason, pick the next pokemon out of your partners that you're interested in that has the stronger bond with you. That can help ease you both, as there is a lot of trust already built there. That way neither of you feel like you'll go too far, as you'll already trust one another. ^^

The important part is just one step at a time, especially when trying to consider the rest of your Pokemons' feelings. (:
