Also just thinking about how ADHD in Percy Jackson and the Olympians is just your body and mind's hardwiring for battle, it is not missed on me that Percy Jackson, a boy with ADHD, has a sword that when misplaced/lost/taken/dropped reappears in his pocket.

vincent in his pjao verse is one of the humans who can see through the mist. he isn't livvys bio dad in this verse and he always knows that- but he is her father in every way that matters. he and livvys mom were on a break when she got with hephaestus in what should have been a dumb one night stand. she tells vincent about that when they get back together and he never faults her for it even when they find out she's pregnant.
livvy sometimes confuses new campers by informing them that her dad wasnt a god of any kind- he was a barista and a part time bus driver- and then scampering over to cabin 9 and their table.

i can and WILL go on forever about how jason wasn't the violent unhinged robin who needed batman to firmly keep him in line to prevent him from straight up murdering criminals, DICK WAS. and switching and retconning the two of them so it's reversed is incredibly reductive and minimizing of both of their development. dick going from being a kid who thinks violence can and Will solve his problems to an adult who knows better and has worked hard to leash his anger, that being part of why he understands and relates to damian as robin so much vs jason who WAS the good kid who didn't need to be micro managed bc he tended to use the right amount of force and follow instructions for the most part but STILL ended up failing and being failed in the most painful of ways and getting so incredibly angry and upset and violent as a result bc look where being good had gotten him.

//Alright so I’ve been getting into Percy Jackson and the Olympians again and I have a question: Would Vampires count as monsters in those books or would they not, considering they are of a Christian mythos instead of Athenian? (vampires - at least european ones - having weaknesses against crucifixes, silver, holy water, and other old Christian based things.)
//The reason I ask is because I think it would be SUPER INTERESTING if Daryl found out he’s technically a monster by Athenian standards and experienced being revived as monsters are after they’re defeated.
//Man what a terrifying and confusing experience THAT would be!

Just pre-Lightning Thief.
*
Luke's fingers dug into your sides as you leaned into his neck, visible puffs of air leaving your lips as you breathed. The hall was quiet, only the sound of the crackling offering fire filling the room.
"You're a little quiet for my liking today," you murmered, sitting up to catch his eyes. He committed the feeling of your thumb running over the scar on his cheek before your hand slipped into his blond hair.
"You can speak for the both of us." His voice came out low, deep, and it sent your blood rushing to your cheeks.
"C'mon, they're bringing out the food. Let's go grab something."
"Ask for the spoiled stuff so I can send it to my dad."
It was humerous, but a touch of honesty laced his tone. His fingers slowly loosened from their place atbyour side as you rose, your lips dusting his forehead.
"Best I can do is the broccoli that Trevor just sneezed on." You made a face as the kid sat down.
"That'll do just fine."

I mentioned how all the guys in my class wanted to study archaeology because they love Indiana Jones. I just wanna clarify that I'm no better as I did, indeed, decide to study archaeology because I was obsessed with the Percy Jackson series as a teenager

i reread this fragment of Mark of Athena, i think, where Annabeth and Reyna are talking and Annabeth tells her not to underestimate Camp Half Blood, and Annabeth dear i get where you are going and i know what the greeks are capable of, but like saying “The Legion” does sound a lot more intimidating than saying Camp Half Blood lol

“ I saw the sun. So much - power and fire and rage inside of her, enough to burn the world and leave it nothing but desert. But to look at her, oh - It was too much for most. But it seemed so still, so stable. But it wasn’t calm. It was just - distant “ - jonathan sims
"What I really wanted to say was that a monster is not such a terrible thing to be. From the Latin root monstrum, a divine messenger of catastrophe, then adapted by the Old French to mean an animal of myriad origins: centaur, griffin, satyr. To be a monster is to be a hybrid signal, a lighthouse: both shelter and warning at once." - ocean vuong
"i am the good news - consider me the burning bush. you're damn right I’m on fire; I’ve been carrying the sun on my spine intending to light the way" - roya marsh
"Courage, dear heart" - cs. lewis
“I said to the sun, ‘Tell me about the big bang.’ The sun said, ‘it hurts to become.” - andrea gibson
"“Safer to be feared than loved,” I said. “Machiavelli,” she crowed, and skipped ahead laughing—whether in a mocking gesture of her age or genuine youthful energy, I couldn’t tell. “How do you know that?” I was impressed, and liking her more every minute. A smart, fucked-up little girl. Sounded familiar. “I know tons of things I shouldn't know.”" - gillian flynn
