love yourself - what’s your favorite way to practice self care?

Ah it depends on what is dragging me down.

If it’s stress from college— like an exam coming up or sthing, I write down a cheat sheet and paste it onto a cupboard before I take out supplies to bake/cook something really involved. My roommate’s have told me I look demonic chanting over different economic formulas or talking myself around different coding algorithms whilst beating batter.

If it’s stress from just not having my life together, I completely reorganize my room, do the laundry with my favorite detergent and dryer sheets (peonies/orange blossoms and lavender respectively), change my sheets, vacuum under the bed etc etc and when I’m all done, I dump out my clothes that I just took out from the dryer into my newlymade bed and kinda nest??? Like some sort of rodent??? And basically nap with everything until I feel better.

If I just need to unwind I basically block out my Friday evening/Saturday morning (if I have the time ripP) as just me hours. I take a long shower, complete with all the things I usually don’t have time for: exfoliating, messaging, deep cleansing, scrubbing off all my dead skin like I’m in some Korean spa etc, rub coconut oil all over my skin, throw on some super complicated facial mask routine, and basically watch YouTube videos in my pjs and sip tea until I’m drowsy enough to just wash everything off and sleep. And then the next morning, I plan a giant date for myself depending on my mood that I explain here under gogo.
