"What about her?" PJ cocked his head slightly, gesturing to a girl who just walked in. "You think if we both were on our best behavior, it would be a fair fight between who would woo her? Cuz I think I could probably beat you in a fair or unfair fight."

"You try being the drummer and not sweating this much." PJ gasped a little for breath after their last run, shaking his head as if to prove a point, sweat droplets spattering across his drumkit. "No wonder you get all the girls, Rems; you don't get as sweaty and stinky after shows." Not that either of them were really looking for girls; but PJ rarely thought too hard before he spoke. "I can't go any longer without getting some food first - what do you say to a snack break?"

Curls stuck to PJ's sweaty forehead, a side effect of how much he thrashed around while playing the drums. His mother had told him on more than one occasion he looked like Animal from the Muppets when he played. "So?" He had been waiting to ask Halford this question for the entire practice. "Does this mean we have a gig booked?"

"I guess it depends on what kind of a day you're thinking of having - or if you just want to go flirt with the nurse on duty," PJ shrugged a little, a crooked grin on his face. "As long as dignity's entire arm isn't hanging off, I think you can call that one a win." Luckily for the both of them, he happened to be extremely quick on his feet at any given time. "Besides, if you had burned me, it would just be a cool look at my band's next gig."

𝐓𝐇𝐄 𝐒𝐈𝐆𝐇 𝐓𝐇𝐀𝐓 𝐄𝐌𝐄𝐑𝐆𝐄𝐃 from between the woman's lips was certainly jagged -- broken a bit by the passing of time. However, it was also relieved. Relieved that nothing had happened, that both of them stood somewhat intact. "God, does anyone? It's not exactly something people put on their to do lists." The comment is a bit biting but rest assured, it is made in jest. "It looks like I'm in the clear... just painfully embarrassed. Dignity wounded, pride singed." Of course what's more important to her is his well being than her pride, but none the less.

"You're right - bars are obviously selling something, bands do it under way more of a guise," PJ quickly shot back, grinning widely. "Y'know, you don't think about it, but bands themselves are things to be sold. Not in the traditional sense, of course, but think about it. We need to sell albums and tours and merch. You can't do that without selling your soul just a tiny bit."

"I think bands and bars are a little different maybe." Luke could do a lot that would make him happy, but it wouldn't always reflect in sales and profits, and his life kind of depended on that, as much as he hated to admit it. "Just a tiny bit, though," he mused with a chuckle. "But sure, I can do it." He nodded and turned on his heel, immediately grabbing for a cocktail shaker. They may not have been a big thing when it came to the sports bar, but he did enjoy making them and he wasn't half bad.

"Sure." Sauntering up to the girl that PJ had pointed out, he quickly explained the set up, and as she glanced over at Froggy, he watched her expression change to one of intrigue. As he returned, he shrugged as if he really tried. "Damn, I guess these curls only get me so far."

the bet seems suspiciously good . too good to be true , likely . but could froggy use twenty ?? well absolutely . the drinks aren’t buying themselves . “ you got it . you’re up first . “

"That is the goal." PJ retorted cheerfully. "It's almost the opposite for my band. I mean, yeah, we want our fans to be happy, but if we wanna change things, we will." He paused for a moment, considering the options. "How about you make me the drink you think you make the best."

"I have a sixth sense for a lot of things, that included," chuckled Luke, resting an elbow on the bar top as he observed the other. "Try my best. Got to make the clientele happy, haven't I?" He flashed a grin to PJ, and then added, "The usual tonight or something different?"

"Y'know, I feel like you have a sixth sense for when I'm coming here," PJ mused, pulling himself up on a barstool. "I think you're tending the bar every time I walk in here. Can't say I'm complaining though - you always make my drink exactly how I like it."

If Luke was at work you could almost guarantee that he was behind the bar. He avoided office work like the plague, and would constantly hand it off to other colleagues who were better with that kind of thing. So to see him there today was no surprise, chatting to patrons and mulling over whatever game was on the TV. Seeing someone approach the bar, he flashed a grin. "What can I get ya today?"

While PJ was happily in a relationship, there were few things he enjoyed as much as riling Froggy up. "Yeah - that's the one." He pretended to mull it over, as if he didn't already have a plan. "Twenty bucks if you win - eternal gloating if I do."

" her ?? " the stares are deep enough to burn holes in what the woman's wearing . if he's going to be smart about the bet , he's got to size up the female in question . " easy enough . " it's decided feat won't be hard once froggy takes into account her lazy eye , but if you squint she could be attractive . " what's the wager ?? "
