I spent freaking delightful weekend with some of my dearest friends in Minneapolis. Said friends, trav.dav and andy.schaw, share a love of delicious food with me. Pretty much everywhere we ate I spent the entire time alternately mumbling and exclaiming over how delicious the food was. One such meal was at Pizza Lucé. They live across the street from this delightful location so we decided to take a jaunt over there for brunch. Holy magnificent jaunt, batman. I am ADDICTED to anything with the word "Benedict" in it, and it just so happened they had a glorious pesto Benedict with an artichoke spread and Italian sausage. Oh did I mention the hollandaise? Yeah, that too. What I really enjoyed (aside from that ENTIRE THING) was that there were two side dish options for this meal, spring greens with citrus vinaigrette, or hash browns. I chose the greens and really enjoyed them! It was nice to have the option to not have a carb fest (even though 9.9 times out of 10 I will choose said carb fest because let's be real, hash browns are like god's gift to me (along with the invention of the eggs Benedict), but I went with the greens because a. They sounded good, and b. I have been the naughtiest little workout skipper this past week. Anyway, said greens were so delightful and fresh, I'm glad I mixed it up. And the rest of the meal.....holy poop that was good.
