REVIEW: NEW RESTAURANT OPENS IN HELL’S KITCHEN

A man known only as "Riker" departed from the land of the living recently. In related news, the Phantom Zone has hired a new chef to head the a radical new restaurant, "Hell's Kitchen".

"I don't know what he puts in it, but this cooking is a great improvement over the standard fare," a tortured spirit reported today. "It tastes kind of like when I used to be alive and accidentally bite my tongue. I wonder how he does it.

”Oh.”

Not all feedback was favorable. I asked Cynthia Cento, a longtime resident of the depths of Hell and operator of Carceri’s Cannibal Cafeteria, what she thought of the usurper.

"Copycat!" the ghost of Cinthia Cento snarled to this reporter this evening, blood dripping down her chin. "He's got no originality whatsoever and he knows it. What's he serving you people? Sloppy Joe? Hot dogs? He's got nothing compared to my human alfredo and he knows it." The butchery is no longer accompanied by Christmas carols, another change that has been deplored by traditionalists such as Cinthia Cento. “So vulgar. Nowadays people think they can just sing whatever vulgar top-of-the-chart Autotuned bullshit while slaughtering a hobo and still be sinister. But it’s just covering a disgraceful lack of originality.”

“I’m actually her grandson,” Riker was reported as saying. “I’m doing my best to keep up to the family legacy of musical maceration while keeping it relevant to the younger crowd. Hey Kent can you, ah, turn around and get the salt from that cupboard? The higher one.”

I barely escaped the interview and went to ask Cento her opinion. 

Cinthia Cento was unimpressed. “Yeah well if he’s trying to live up to my streak, the little shit fell pretty far from the tree.” She sighed. “Hey Kent can you turn around and get that haunch of meat off the rack? Not that rack... the higher one.”

My advice? Take out a fucking pizza instead.
