What program do you use for your pixel art??I would love to start learning. Any tips?

I use Aseprite! it's a paid software though (20 USD), but there are free options, such as Pixelorama

If it's your first time getting into pixel art, I'd heavily recommend starting small and with few colors, because:

by starting small you learn to adapt to the restrictions of pixel art, and you start to know which details are worth keeping around and which aren't (if you try to keep every single detail, the piece would look very noisy)

and starting with few colors is basically the same as above, but more so in the part of learning to work with brightness and shadows. Since you don't have a big palette at your disposal, it makes it easier to see which color might fit best for highlights and shadows

if you're just starting out I'd recommend checking out Lospec for palettes, just filter them to something like 4 to 8 colors and you should have plenty of options to pick from

hello! i have logged into tumblr for the first time in nearly 10 years because i wanted to tell you that your bre sketches from the other day ended up on my screen by chance, and i loved them so much that i was inspired to try my hand at drawing for... essentially the first time in my life as a result. this has been my OC for a while but this is the first time i've drawn them myself :D

this started life as a pencil on paper sketch with your work as a reference, before being traced into pixelorama (using my trackpad, because i gotta do what i gotta do), cleaned up a bit and colored in over there.

i just wanted to say thanks for doing the work that you do, and for helping me find a new hobby! ^_^

OOH MY GOSH, WOW??!! WHAA—!! 😱😭 I am like in stunned awe that my Bre doodles could even do that, welcome back! Your Umbreon OC is adorable as heck, I like the moon bandanna and I adore that it’s a shiny one at that, heh!

What pixel art software?

Pixelorama, it can be had on any operating system, and is available on itch.io for free. It can do animation too which is neat, and you can keybind whatever you want, including controllers (which is what i did for undo/redo, i have an xbox controller for them lol). Overall very user friendly and fun.
