Scrapped animation from the abandoned project DISNEY PRINCESS FAIRYTALES. The presentation was going to utilize all the same story beats from the original film, except with Phillip in Aurora's place (barring Maleficent's curse). The audience was to follow Aurora planning a surprise for Phillip's birthday, the way the fairies planned one for Aurora in the first film. Aurora then sings a song about love in the forest, just as she does in the original, preceding a fight the fairies get into during the party preparations where they zap one another from blue to pink and the film would've ended with a waltz between Aurora and Phillip after the fairies conjure up a dress for her. This treatment included a lot of traced animation from the first film (none of which is seen above), identical backgrounds, and most of the same costumes, apart from Aurora's finale dress. Despite the fact that previews for this version were released, studio heads at the time rejected it and forced a rework, as this film was their favorite from the Walt era and they were more protective over it.
