Exploring the Iconic Pisa Tower: A Must-Visit Attraction in Italy

Hey just wondering. You've visited a lot of cities. What was the most beautiful city of them all and which one had the better food. Off topic but interesting
Oooh I like this topic! 😃
My absolute favorite city of all time is BERLIN, no ifs ands or buts about it! 🙌
I would go back in a heartbeat and if I ever had to relocate abroad, that would be my #1 new hometown for sure! 🇩🇪
It's def not the prettiest (it's actually quite gritty) but it has so much character and history that it all makes up for the lack of picturesque houses and whatnot! 🤷🏼‍♀️
And the food...
Well there's always currywurst! 😂
Which is actually Turkish but let's not get stuck on details... 🤭
And German pretzels are just 👌. 🥨😍
But I suppose if we're talking straight-up most beautiful cities, then maybe Venice or Paris or Colmar... 🤔
But NEVER EVER EVER visit Venice in the summertime cos the amount of tourists there is unreal (they are everywhere like ants! 😣🐜🐜🐜)!
And I suppose one might assume that you'd get the best pizza in the world in Italy, but actually the best pizza I've ever eaten was at a random pizza parlor at the Haubtbahnhof in Potsdam, Germany! 🍕🤤
Go figure! 🤷🏼‍♀️😂
And Paris obvs is always Paris... 😍
But the thing is that Parisians are so posh and elegant that I sometimes felt quite inadequate and raggedy there... 🫣😭
But on the other hand the French are a lot more friendly than one might expect from the stereotypes! Or at least they were around the Mulhouse/Colmar/Strasbourg area I visited a few weeks ago! 🤷🏼‍♀️
Everyone spoke English at least enough to get by, and I got more "bonjour, madame's" from bus drivers and cashiers than I have ever gotten even at home! 🤷🏼‍♀️
My "pro tip" for Euro travel is def this: if you're not hellbent on spending a whole week in one place (which obvs would be great too cos you'd get a lot more indepth vibes of that place that way), then get cheap flights to a city that's nearby the places you might wanna visit cos often flights/hotels are a lot cheaper that way.
For example: you wanna visit Paris? Instead of getting flights to De Gaulle and a hotel in Paris, why not instead get flights to Brussels and just visit Paris by train for a day? 🤷🏼‍♀️
It's only 1.5h by train so even just 1 day would give you plenty of time to roam around, and hotels can be a lot cheaper in Brussels. 🤷🏼‍♀️
Also from Brussels you can easily visit Bruges, Antwerp, Amsterdam etc. by day too! 🚄
Same with Venice: don't book an over-priced hotel there, but instead stay in Milan and visit Venice (and Firenze, Pisa, maybe even Rome) by day! 🤷🏼‍♀️
I'm already planning my next trip and it's def going to be taking full advantage of the excellent European rail system! 😛

Europe Tourist Tips
Hello! In this little post, I’m just going to be talking about some really quick and easy tips for when you travel to Europe, particularly the big tourist spots such as Italy, Rome, Spain, and other highly populated city areas.
The first thing that many people tend to know but also ignore is the advisory not to dress like a tourist. I’m not saying that you can’t wear anything with the name of your state, or that there’s a dress code. There is no dress code anywhere really, so wear what you want unless you’re planning to tour churches. I’m suggesting to not bring big, obvious things such as bags, backpacks, or Fanny Packs. Pickpockets aren’t uncommon in tourist heavy areas, and it’s best to be cautious. If you have a water, try your best to carry it around by hand. If you feel the need to pack several waters, most of the time there is no need. You’ll commonly find people selling fresh water all over, and tours often hand out water as well.
One thing about many places in Europe is that there is a fee to use public bathrooms. Of course this isn’t everywhere, but it is common. Some tours manage to avoid this, but that depends on what you book. I would carry around some spare Euros or a credit card, and I recommend using the restroom before you go out. Plenty restaurants also don’t have this fee, but it really depends on the place.
One detail that is commonly left out of blogs is to not overspend your money on Euros. Places in Europe can be expensive, but it is overall cheaper than many places in America. When I visited Napoli, also known as Naples, my companions and I purchased two raviolis, a Margarita pizza, several waters, extra drinks, and one of the specialty pastas for only €66,00, or 71.08 USD. In case you don’t know, that is cheap compared to places like America, where inflation is high and a meal like that could cost over 100.00 USD. I do want to put in here that instead of putting the decimal point or period as a separation point from Euros to cents, it is often written with a comma instead. For example, 10.29 in America would be 10,29 in many places in Europe. I will also put here that if you pay in USD, $1=€0,96 Euros. 1CA$=€0,67.
Since Europe is a hotspot for tourists, you won’t need to worry too much about translation. Many locals know yes and no, and restaurants almost always have translators on standby. The most common second language in Europe is English, so other languages might be a bit of a struggle, but never too much because like I said before, many places have translators on standby.
When there are many tourists around, there are also many swindlers. Everywhere you go there are street performers, street vendors, and people walking with things they want you to buy. While yes, some of these items are low quality, there are also plenty of really good deals that you could get in on. From €2,00 sculptures of Pisa, all the way to €20,00 designer bags, street sellers are a good place to get scammed, while also getting very good deals.
While many people fear alleys for the shady things people do I’m them, alleyways are man’s best friends in Europe. It’s amazing to see all the hidden restaurants and shops up each one. They also provide an easy way for people to hang leaves and plants along the walls and install beautiful lights, giving them a welcoming glow at night.
One last thing is a bit more of a recommendation than a tip. If you ever go to Europe, try the Gelato. Trust me, it is one of the best things you could ever do while touring the cities. It’s just like ice cream, but better.
For one’s information, places in Europe commonly have still standing very old structures. If you are very uncomfortable with nudity, or have a young child, I recommend reading the age recommendations and being sure you don’t see too too much of things you don’t want to see. If you don’t have a problem with it, great! Go crazy.
That’s pretty much all, or it’s just everything I could conjure up. Maybe a mix of both. I might do a part II, but that is a maybe. I’ll cover more places as I continue my tours, hope to see you soon!
