Wowzer!!! What a night for Halloween!!! Was so much fun prepping this year for the 2022 season as I was able to build some props for the yard and go all out for my costume of being Captain Jack Sparrow and speaking pirate to all those kids and adults!! Some people thought I was a prop until they saw the witch sitting next to me move and couldn’t believe the transformation!!! It took lots of research to get the outfit and makeup right as well as the beard and mustache and the braids and beads…dreadlocks too!!! Amazingly it took just two hours to suit up and all the dramatic makeup effects of burnt skin and dirt and scars as well as the sword, gun and Sparrows outfit…speaking pirate and handing out pirate gold to all those who spoke pirate and said Arrggghhhh Matey!!! Many former clients stopped in as well to see what I had done and were happy they did as they met Capt Jack in his full attire! Much pirate music and fun over here in Bucks County!!! And after all the fun, the real work began as it took just over 1.5 hrs to remove the hair off the face (Ouch!!) and all the makeup!!! And to put away the Jack Sparrow persona for another year!! About 1 month into playing this amazing instrument, I think I’m finally getting the hang of the movements it requires, but my nails are making it really hard to hit the keys correctly! Why do I do this to myself?! 😂😂😂 for my first #hurdygurdy #cover I am gonna bring out your inner #pirate! ;) it may not be coming for a while because I want to get the song perfectly down and clean sounding before posting it and I have to also figure out the electric aspect of my hurdy-gurdy! But do know that I’m actually practicing!!! 😜 I will be continuing filming for the cover that’s coming probably this week or next week and have the video up by the end of the month. I know I take a very long time to post now but I do it for a reason. It’s because I actually want to make sure that the content is perfect quality before I post it up now. I hope that waiting is worth it for you all. Now I’m on the subject of pirates, how many of you celebrate talk like a pirate day??? I liiive it! ;D!
