He’s an EXTREMELY OLD reclusive historian who was the only one interested in moving into the house in the middle of a Big Scary Lake full of Nasty Fauna.

The house has a very ill-fated and layered history, but the thing that finally kept most people away from it was its last use as a makeshift ‘you’re never coming back’ quarantine center during the pandemic times. And he’s just like AH. GOOD. PERFECT. NO ONE WILL EVER BOTHER ME NOW. 

He got all up in arms about talk of it being demolished and moved in himself.

i think for me the part that I hate is that it doesn’t... tell me about this it just DOES it? like if the photos app had a thing where it went “Suggested Albums” and then told me “our algorithm thinks all of these are pictures of your cats! do you want to save them all into one folder?” I would be WAY less weirded out bc I would know exactly what the app was capable of and what pattern it was picking up on (this would also be genuinely convenient bc i wouldn’t MIND making a cat pics album)

but instead it just ... did this, at random, months after I got the update that included the memories feature, so now I’m left wondering like “does the phone really know what Sophie & Luke look like individually or it just showing me photos that detect as Animal taken at Home Location or what”

Yeah based on the articles it seems to be on the level of “is known by many people to consistently make gross comments and offensive jokes” and not like, actual assault, at least, but still makes me feel upset and uncomfortable considering that yknow... i have books autographed by him and an image he designed literally tattooed on me, so
