In bespoke tailoring, it is easy for the average client to over-glorify “the cut”, and the theatrics emotions it evokes. . The defining process that separates one jacket from another, though, is the “alteration”: knowing what to do when issues are discovered during fittings, in the best way possible. . Cutting cloth is rather formulaic, geometric at best, but it is the tailoring that really begins to give life to the garment - to manipulate fabric, canvas and seams into literally a second skin for the human being, in a way that is most artistic and aesthetically pleasing. .
