October 17th: I’d been wanting to repot my plants for quite some time and after a trip to Walmart in which I purchased some cactus soil, I was ready to do just that. I’d deliberately waited for them to dry out a bit so that they wouldn’t get over-watered when being moved to newer, wetter soil. These are the before pictures. While most of them were doing fairly well, others, such as the the Graptoveria in the second photo up and the Echeveria just above it, really needed some help. The stretched ones were really a point of concern for me since I regularly keep all of these on my windowsill.

Oct 17th: And so, the repotting began! And Azalea sat in to observe the chaos. First, I uprooted all of my succulents. (Their root systems grow surprisingly long and large!) Second, I dumped the old soil into a plastic bag. I threw it out, but in thinking about it some more, I wish I’d found a better way to get rid of it. Maybe recycle it somehow if possible. Definitely something I want to look into for future instances of soil changes. Third, it was time to put in a few pebbles to help with drainage and then add the cactus soil on top.
