If you are currently mad for pink, here's a little heads up for you! I dyed this cotton cloth with 🥑 pits! Here's how: I saved my 🥑 pits up in the freezer. I filled the biggest pasta pot in my 🏡 with hot water, added the pits and let it come to a slow boil. Left them to steep for an hour on simmer. Added as much cloth as i could fit in the pot, about 1.5 meters, which I had wet first. Let that steep for 1/2 a day, took it out, ringed it out, added the next piece. Washed first piece in machine on 60degrees. I dyed 2 t-shirts and 3 meters of cloth. Probably could have done more! Try it! Since I’ve been thinking bout Inkwell so much I finally felt like drawing him facing forward normally..

...and it turned into a sort of family shot. I had to make Pinkdye Patty to sort of even it out and to try my hand of another toon looking character. (Poor Beatrix has to wear dark pants in order to hide the stains that Inkwell leaves via hugs.)

So i received these items in a VoxBox from influenster and it took me a while to write this review due to the fact that i wanted to see how long this product would last after a few washes and how my hair would react. I have super thin hair that breaks really fast. This is the best cream hair color i have ever used. If you pair the dye with the shampoo and conditioner and the thrive split end repair together you get ZERO dryness and breakage. I still have the same curl pattern and little split ends. I highly recommend this product not only because it is affordable (even though thats great too) but because your hair will thank you for the quality of this product as well. Thank you influenster! I will be buying different colors and reviewing about them as well.

Dyeing with avocado skins 🥑 

Recipe:

4 whole avocado skins

1 liter water

Clean the skins from all the avocado leftovers.

Put them in a pot and top up with water so the skins are completely covered.

Heat up until it starts to simmer, not boiling- Leave for around 1h then take pot of the stove.

Wet your fabrics and wring out before putting them in the dye.

Leave in for as long as you want, the longer you wait the darker and stronger the color will be. The above swatches was left for 1 hour and 8 hours.

Take the fabric out of the dye, wash thoroughly and let it dry

We are very happy with the ens result and this dye is definitely something we will use in our collection!  It was very interesting to see the vast difference in tones from the swatches dyed for 1h and the ones dyed over night.  Fabrics used, left to right: Milk twill, Cotton poplin, Cotton twill, Cotton poplin, Cotton twill, Woven polyester and silk.
