Tumblr media
Decided to challenge myself by drawing every single TLK character out there, up until this point in time, and post it here. You can see the finished project on my main account, though I figured to post it on my tumblr just show I could proudly show off my work and a few of my head canons.
Here's all the rodents, plus lagomorphs, across TLG/K:
First are the jerboas; Tupp/Thupi(body-Nyanja) the lesser Egyptian jerboa from "Journey of Memories" and Jerboa/Impuku(rodent-Zulu) the long-eared jerboa from "The Call of the Drongo". Right between them is a springhare we see from the TLK book "A Wild Night Out". In the book where Simba and Nala sneak out at night to explore and find an aardvark, a porcupine, and a springhare before heading back home. This discovery has unfortunately made me have to do back and retroactively add some more characters, though at least it is nice to get some animals in proper TLK style for a change, though I kinda feel a bit sheepish for not realizing that TLK has done springhares before I did my revamped beavers into them. Anyways, meet Bazara(spring-Hausa).
Next are the mice, including the first one we see in TLK, the striped grass mouse Scar plays with I've named Eku(mouse-Yoruba), Nobi/Inabi(grapes-Hausa) the spiny mouse from "Good Mousekeeping" who is an albino African spiny mouse who gets bullies by a trio of elephants before he learns to stick up for himself, and lastly the female four-striped grass mouse we see also in "The Call of the Drongo" I've decided to name Lishe(nutrition). Not much to say about them, though my headcanon is that Eku is actually one of Zazu's partners, having gotten close to him during Zazu's rib cage imprisonment, and kept him informed about current events while also trying to help him escape by gnawing on the bones time to time.
Following with TLG rodents, which make up the majority of this list, we have Tafu/Tafiya(journey) the scaley-tailed flying squirrel from "The Accidental Avalanche". As far as gliding rodents go, I really like his simplistic design and kept it pretty much the same. Additionally for flying squirrels we have Piper/Pyp(pipe-Afrikkans) from "Saskatchewan Catch", a flying squirrel who gets help from Timon and Pumbaa to find herself a mate in exchange for some hard-to-reach tree beetles, though ditch them on their deal once she finds her mate. Not much to say about her story wise, though design-wise I did think the purply-grey colors were alright, though no lipstick, scarves, or updos that make Pricilla Presley weep in envy, though I can justify the beauty-mark.
Also for squirrels we have the the Teds, Ithendi(heel-Xhosa) and Kitendo(act), now a pair of ground squirrels, which just look like prairie dogs to me, from "You Ghana Join the Club". These brothers and their family decided to hog the resources of a certain area in the Oasis, though thankfully and rather painfully got their comeuppance by peeving off one of the local lions. Again, not much to say, though I think I did a good job of sneaking in some pink and blue elements into their designs, though I had to do quite a bit of redesigning, since the first draft came out looking like evil Care Bears.
Next are the porcupines, all pains in the neck with all their individually drawn quills, where we have the African-crested present with Mama Binturong-now-Civet's lackey Smun/Sumai(high). At some point in time the Forest was a pleasant place, where the inhabitants freely interacted with each other and freely shared the resources around, even inviting new folks to live in the community. However one of them, a malicious civet, took advantage of everyone's naivete and generosity, instead hogging all the resources including their precious medicinal tuliza, and threatening anyone who tried to get in her way, as well as making the price to get even just a blossom of tuliza unobtainable at worse and back-breaking at minimum. Sumai and his prickle were unfortunately casualties in this that only worsened the problem. They were so young when they lost their parents to an easily preventable disease that could've been stopped with the tuliza, but they were denied it and ended losing their lives, and leaving their children alone and vulnerable. Acting as the doting 'mama' figure, she took in the orphaned porcupines, acting as the poor doctor who was unable to save their parents due to everyone wanting the tuliza and taking it from her, leaving none for her to give to save them. Over time she successfully convinced them that the other inhabitants of the forest were to blame, wanting to hog all the tuliza for themselves and did not care about trampling over or taking out others to achieve that. Slowly she grew her army of porcupines, heavily dependent on her and unable to realize the harm she had caused, to neither them or their communities, by controlling the flow of tuliza, so caught up in their devotion and false belief of misplaced blame. By the time they return back to the forest after failing to get revenge on Bunga, they find that the forest has flourished in their time away, the tuliza and resourced are now being shared and cultivated as originally, and to boot the inhabitants have grown more of a spine. Mama Civet has grown frail and ill with age and a few porcupines were injured during the fight. The forest inhabitants are still resentful, but merciful enough to allow them to remain in their old area and use what they are given to recover, but they will now be required to work for the community and their tuliza, and the second they step out of line, they're out. Over time some of the other porcupines begin to see the community for how it truly was and begin to question how they were raised and acted before, whole Sumai remains almost fanatically devoted and serving to his ailing, crippled foster mother, now refusing to even get up and demanding quantities of food and tuliza served right to her, succumbing to sloth and addiction. Sumai can only painfully watch as she slowly keeps on digging a hole she can't climb out of, while his brethren try to help him move on.
So yeah, decided to give Smun's prickle a backstory with orphans, dependency, abuse, and addiction. I imagine tuliza, while it does seem to have calming/pain-relieving aspects, too much or condensed quantities can be addicting, though I believe by the time Bunga meets Mama for the first time and he finds her hogging all the tuliza, the effects have mostly worn out and she needs a higher, more concentrated dose to feel the effects, hence why she stole Makini's tuliza, hoping it was a more stronger version... I think I need to stop watching MLP's Breaking Bad/Poison Joke.
Back in the Pridelands we have Male Porcupine/Nungu(porcupine) and his sons; the Porcupine Brothers; Chembe(quill) and Sindano(needle). Nungu is a single dad of two that tries really hard to raise his sons up right, though between a certain honey badger bouncing him like a ball, being chased by curious giraffe calves, and having fruit dropped on him, the poor guy just needs a break.
From "Prickly Problems" we have Spike/Karu(spike), a porcupine that accidently spikes Simba, only to regret it after he realizes that the cub meant him no harm. Fortunately Simba does recover and they do make up in the end, though I personally don't like how he looks like a North American porcupine in the book.
Last of the porcupines is Zungura(poke), featured in, but never mentioned by name in the TLK book "A Wild Night Out", where she does meet Simba and Nala when Simba accidently steps on one of her shed quills. I find it a bit coincidental that I put her next to a porcupine that actively stuck Simba with quills, though thankfully African-crested porcupines are smooth quills instead of barbed like the North American variants, so while still extremely painful to get stuck, are much easier to pull out. I know this from experience, though I will say this, African-crested porcupines are like big guinea pigs. Give them something like a nut of piece of sweet potato and they will hunker down, grab the food, and start munching on it, they are so adorable.
Next is the pika we see at the Tree of Life that Mama Binturong/Civet bullies after they try to give her some tuliza. His name is Ponya(heal) and he often helps Nirmala by finding and gathering supplies for her, as does the rest of his group. So while doing research for this, I incidentally discovered that the pika, which I originally thought was a rodent, is actually a lagomorph, aka related to rabbits/hares, who are also not rodents. But come on, we kind of do associate them with these smaller critters, so this sheet is now rodents + lagomorphs. I did reuse the model from the last time I made him, though I also added the little mouthful of grass you see pikas with. Seriously, if you're having a bad day, look up 'pikas with flowers', it so sweet, you'll feel better. I have them here in Colorado, and while I don't see them all that often, I sure am glad I do have them here, though I did learn while drawing them that apparently there are some in Asia too, so that's neat.
So starting off with the hares we have the TLG ones, including the young female hare/Sungura(hare/rabbit) who is a scrub hare, and the red rock hares with Masikio(ears) and his sister Sikiliza(listen). And lastly... the ones from the Timon and Pumbaa Show... the three-fingered jackalope/Gaidi(bandit) who is now a scrub hare.... and horrifying Rabbit/Hofu(fear), and neutered as much as possible from their show counterparts and for good reason, please trust me on this. Best I can say is that I did y'all a favor by turning mister nightmare away from y'all.

ME REACTING TO DAZAI'S ENTRANCE EXAM PART TWO!! >:D
Previous || You're here || Next
Obvious spoilers ahead!!
Tumblr media
White teeth? Well it's a good thing he's been taking care of his hygiene a lot more since his defection.
Man, I feel bad for the HR, they must've been suffering hell for the past three days ಥ_ಥ
Tumblr media
How, and why is this not used in fics? Like it's such a delicate, and domestic part of their dangerous lives. Seeing Doppo, and the President in a non work environment with them being so... Idk? More casual than usual? Mini Doppo is openly ranting about his misfortunes with Dazai, and Fukuzawa feeling pretty bad about putting this responsibilities onto him. He knows Doppo has his pride as an agency member, and would never back down from such a challenge. Their student–mentor relationship is so dear to me.
Tumblr media
Harbinger of misfortune Dazai? Sounds like a good Yokai!au title for him. He'd haunt the agency members after running away from his responsibilities as a Yokai to bring misfortune upon humans, only to stumble upon an albino boy while on the run. The albino has great cursed energy, if he didn't know any better, he would've believed that he was at least apart Yokai. Turns out this kid was but a middle schooler that attends the same school as that 'detective club', and decides to stick with him for a while. Cue the misadventures of the misfortune Yokai, and an unknowning Yokai of mysterious nature. >:D
Tumblr media
SHOUT OUT TO MUSHITARŌ OGŪRI!! OUR FAVORITE BOYY!!!
Tumblr media
AUGH OUCH. Imagine them having this conversation when Oda joined in BEAST?!?! Kinda hurts though... This doesn't look like the first time they've had this conversation, and dare I say, they might've had it when Kyōka joined.
Tumblr media
This answers... A lot. It's actually interesting to know that Doppo has a limit to how many pages he could use, really puts another dimension to his ability, and it's drawbacks.
Tumblr media
I had to screenshot the whole thing, cause how can I not?
Comedy gold, right there officer.
Doppo is so unserious about Dazai, like 'Your pink elephants, they're still flying?' Dazai is just matching the mocking wavelength of the conversation, and be like 'Negative! Purple ones are the flying ones! The pinks are just too boring sometimes! What's with the purples anyways? We're going to exterminate them? They were kind of a nuisance tbh.'
Also Dazai 'Average bozo' Osamu is just HDBWHSV LMAO DOPPO STOP BULLYING EACH OTHER.
Tumblr media
Doppo sweetie you are so strong, I wouldn't have lasted in the asylum where you're living. Especially with him as your workmate.
Tumblr media
Then perhaps dead apple was a horror story then? Shibusawa's ghost/Ability/whatever the hell that was surely composed at least an email or two.
Tumblr media
Of course Doppo isn't scared (. ❛ ᴗ ❛.)
He is our big, stronk boy 〳•̀ v •́ 〵

I finally continued working on Susan's Hell Sprint:)
Diary of Paul Killarney, November 1st, 1994 (cont'd)
“Did she ever talk about me?”
I raised my head. “Hm?”
Rory was sitting on the green plush sofa, his long limbs folded up. He looked oddly vulnerable in this light.
I shrugged. “In passing. Sometimes. She mentioned that she met someone she'd once been close to in this village, but…”
“Oh. Alright.” He tilted his head back against the backrest and during the swift movement, I saw a long stitched up scar briefly appear beneath his hand-knitted sweater.
“Oh my god, what happened there?”, I asked before I could hold back.
He glanced over and touched his neck. “Hmm? Ohh. Funny story, actually. Had a freak accident.”
“Oh.” I sunk back into the seat, but he didn't elaborate. It was quiet again for a while. The upstairs floorboards creaked under the Dog's paws and the rain drummed against the windows. Rory was looking out of the window, his scarred neck arched slightly, and when the thunder rolled the corner of his mouth twitched, briefly exposing one sharp canine.
When I was eight, my sister's boyfriend Kyle and his friends discovered an abandoned house in the woods. I don't know who it had belonged to, and frankly it never mattered to me, but it had something spooky about it, and if there's anything eight year old boys love, it's spooky houses in remote wooded areas. So, naturally, on a sweltering hot summer afternoon, Kyle, Alvin, Nash and Gilbert took me along down there to explore.
Nothing special happened on the way to the house. Nash forgot his water bottle at home. Gilbert tripped and skinned his knee. We were just five boys, aimlessly wandering through the trees, kicking pebbles across the sandy path, mosquitoes dancing around our heads in the golden July air, and the sky had that clear blue colour that's almost green with sunlight.
The first chill of evening rustled through the trees. I shivered.
How far is it?, I was about to ask, when a structure shimmered through the trees.
“There it is!”, Kyle exclaimed.
We stepped onto the clearing and I tilted my head back to take a better look at the house.
It looks like a dead elephant, some absurd part of my brain thought. Like one of the Austrian porcelain elephants Aunt Kristen keeps on her desk, but with its bones out. The roof had caved in and a white rose bush had overtaken most of the building, as if sleeping beauty was resting inside. Ragged, once pale pink lace curtains hung in the windows like fluttering albino lashes.
“How do we get inside?”, I asked.
Kyle shrugged his shoulders. “Front door. It's open.”
“It's open?”
“Yeah. Whoever lived here left in a hurry.” He pushed the door open and it creaked like a groaning old woman. We stepped inside.
Sunlight illuminated the inside of the house. The staircase led into a pile of debris on the second floor. Everything looked frail and dusty, like old bones.
“Are you sure the floor is stable?”, I asked.
“Sure.” Alvin stepped inside. “Check this out!”
He jumped. The floorboards groaned, but stayed in place.
“And again!” Another jump. Groan. It was like desecrating a barely just dead corpse. Perversely fun, almost.
Alvin grinned at me with crooked teeth. “Your turn!”
I took a step forward, then another, then I jumped and the world came crashing down.
I blinked, took a moment to process what had happened. Of course. The floor had caved in beneath me and I had landed in the basement. I tasted chalky dust in my mouth and my eyes burned. It was dark. A single ray of sunlight shone down into the pitch black, probably the first light these walls had seen in a long time. I felt something poking my face. Something dry and leathery and dead. Slowly, slowly, I turned my head and stared right into the empty eyesockets of a dead fox. Its teeth were bared. It looked afraid and angry and frozen in time, and I heard something scream. It took me a moment to realize that the screaming was me.
“Paul, Paul are you alright?”, I heard Nash and Alvin yell. A door flew open, the boys stormed into the basement with flashlights. I stumbled backwards, away from the dead animal, sobbing.
“A fox, an entire fox!”, Kyle exclaimed in excitement and shook me. “Paul, that's amazing! We can put it in a bag, take it home and harvest the bones! I'll show you how to bleach them!”
I didn't want to harvest the bones. I wanted to curl up and cry and cry and cry and forget about the sight of those bared fangs and empty eyes, Jesus Christ. I could not stop crying. It was awful.
The boys took me home and I didn't go to school for a week. I woke up screaming in the middle of the night, dreaming of that dead fox uncurling and screeching at me with those teeth like an angry spirit.
When I showed up again, Kyle awkwardly came over at the bus stop with a bag.
“I've got the bones.” He smiled lopsidedly. “If you want you can keep them.”
I hesitated for a minute. A chill ran down my spine.
“Can I bury them?”, I asked.
Kyle shrugged his shoulders and gave me the bag. “You can do what you want. They're yours.”
That afternoon, Aunt Kristen, Kyle, my sister and I went out to a clearing in the woods and buried the fox among the wildflowers. My sister made a wreath and Kyle left a small, wonky wooden fox figurine he'd carved on the grave. An offering. After that we went home, and that night, the nightmares stopped.
But that face, that dead fox baring his teeth, that's what Rory looked like. Maybe that was the reason he unsettled me. It was like the human incarnation of my childhood monster had invited me in.
I hate him, I caught myself thinking and furrowed my brows. Why exactly? What was I even blaming him for? Taking Susan away from me? Before we'd even met? How could I blame him for that?
As if he'd read my thoughts he suddenly smirked. “You know, you scare me.”
I raised my eyebrows. “Huh?”
“You hate so quietly. You're so mature with your hate it's hardly noticeable. It fills the entire room for you, but you still keep quiet. I've never met anyone who was so quiet with their anger before. You're worse than a raging storm.”
I turned away, trying to hide that my cheeks were turning red. How the hell did he notice?!
He leaned forward and smiled in that odd, daring way. “You can't stand me, am I right?” A pause. Then he leaned back again. “Of course I am. And that's understandable. I don't blame you for doing so.”
My tongue was heavy. I didn't want to give away my feelings so easily, but something about Rory's disarming honestly made it hard to keep my mouth shut.
“You scare me,” I finally whispered.
He lowered his head. “I know. I'm sorry.”

The Emperor and the Nightingale
ACT 1
Narrator:
Once upon a time, in a land far away, there was a kingdom surrounded by a mysterious enchanted forest. In the center of that forest, in a sunny clearing, was the mortal world— where humans went about their lives in a bustling empire. And at the center of this metropolis was an Emperor.
Enter the Emperor.
(He’s a young man with sandy blonde hair and kind eyes. He’s handsome, but he looks sad. Especially under a spotlight out of scene.)
Narrator:
The Emperor was married to the Empress, who was unequivocally the most beautiful woman in the kingdom twenty years running, according to the latest imperial polls. She knew this because she checked them daily.
(The Empress sits among the royal courtyard at a marble table surrounded by pink roses. It is about 11am in the morning. Her long blonde hair spills like satin over hair chair, almost touching the pristine stone ground.)
(A dark-haired woman with a slim nose and purple satin head wrap approaches:)
Your paper, your highness.
(She curtsies, handing the Empress a glossy magazine pre-folded to page six, where the top 10 most elegant ladies in the kingdom are listed. The Empress occupies all 10 slots.)
Empress:
Thank you, Ophelia.
(A dark-haired man with a shiny moustache and padded gold tassels on his shoulders approaches:)
Your bagel with low-fat cream cheese, your highness.
(He bows, keeping his head at table level while sliding the plate toward her)
Empress:
Thank you, Alphonse.
Narrator:
Those are the Empress’ two most trusted advisors. They rarely leave her side.
Ophelia:
Did you sleep well, your highness?
Alphonse:
Did you sleep at all?
Ophelia:
(Elbows her counterpart)
Empress:
(Massaging her temples)
No. This is the third party this week. I’m going mad I tell you, mad!
Alphonse:
And the staff is going deaf.
Ophelia:
(Elbows him harder this time)
Hmm. The Emperor’s spontaneous parties are becoming increasingly frequent.
(Royal custodians sweep the garden in the distance, kicking up gold-colored confetti and picking hundreds of streamers out of the fountain. At the other side of the courtyard, a butler gently shakes the DJ awake, who is slumped over his turntable.)
Empress:
(Pinches between her eyes)
I’m aware. I just don’t know what’s wrong with that husband of mine. Every day that goes by he seems more…
Ophelia:
Displeased?
Alphonse:
Disaffected?
Ophelia:
Distraught?
Alphonse:
Dissatisfied?
Empress:
Dumb.
Ophelia:
(Covers her lips with a handkerchief)
Empress:
He is a shallow fool who has no idea how to rule a kingdom. He has no aspirations of conquest. No dreams of expansion. All he’s interested in is wasting time playing with his toys.
Alphonse:
He does have quite the menagerie of belongings.
Ophelia:
Two hundred white albino elephants. Three hundred peacocks genetically bred to sport rainbow plumage. Sixty performing German Shepherds that can backflip on command. Seven dolphins that can perform complex algebra. Forty pink and purple llamas whose wool smells like cotton candy. And two cats that come when called.
Alphonse:
Let’s not forget the sixty pastry chefs who bake exclusively with gold leaf. Or the two-hundred on-site acrobats who are on-call to perform at a moment’s notice. Six scientists who concoct various inventions in the underground lab, my favorite of which being the levitating bubble. And let’s not forget his indefinite employment of DJ Sparkcraft.
(Alphonse eyes an unconscious DJ Sparkcraft being carried away by several butlers)
Empress:
I know.
Ophelia:
What about the hundred-acre lot of gold-plated tennis courts? Or the infinity pool filled with champagne and its counterpart, the chocolate fondue hot tub? I believe he’s only watched a movie in the four-hundred seat theatre but once and he enjoyed the zero-gravity ballroom for about a week until he decided he fancied the trampoline concert hall more.
Empress:
I know.
Alphonse:
And of course, there’s the festivals. The sudden proclamation of cupcake day was among my favorites, as well as the mandatory week of dance. The sports festival was rather enjoyable, as was the month-long award ceremony and parade that followed. He never misses a staff birthday or anniversary regardless of their standing in the court. I was especially fond of the eight-hundred-piece orchestra that performed at the stable boy’s sweet sixteen.
Empress:
I KNOW!
(birds erupt and fly away from the trees)
(She collapses back into her chair, rubbing her temples)
It doesn’t matter what we do, he’ll never be happy. My husband is broken.
Ophelia:
He’s distressed.
Empress:
He’s dim.
(The Emperor suddenly appears behind the rose bush)
Emperor:
Wassat? Is that French toast?
Empress:
DARLING! You startled me.
Alphonse:
How long have you been standing there my liege?
Emperor:
I dunno.
(Shuffles over and forks a piece of toast, sticking the whole thing in his mouth without bothering to sit)
Ophelia:
Your majesty, we were just discussing the success of last night’s party. I do say, it was your most spectacular soiree yet.
Alphonse:
A real rager. The whole of the court is buzzing about it.
(Distantly, exhausted people strewn among the bushes and slumped over statues give a thumbs up and groan)
Emperor:
(With a far off look on his face, collapses into his chair)
Good. I’m glad they had a good time.
(His eyes begin to well with tears)
Because I feel positively dreadful.
Empress:
Darling, don’t cry in the syrup.
Ophelia:
What’s wrong your highness?
Emperor:
I had such fun last night. A happiness the likes of which I’ve never felt before. When that music plays and I’m surrounded by all of my friends, I feel bright as the sun. But this morning, as soon as I opened my eyes, I felt it again. This weight in my chest. An awful pang in my heart. An all-consuming darkness no mortal man can escape.
Empress:
Pass the butter.
Alphonse:
Would his highness like a royal Xanax?
Ophelia:
Or how about a trip to the royal sauna building? Perhaps a five-hour long diamond massage?
Emperor:
No. Leave me be.
(He stands up to leave, head bowed.)
(The Emperor returns moments later to take his plate of French toast and sulk into the palace.)
Empress:
You see? He’s an idiot.
Ophelia:
He is certainly in a funk.
Empress:
And unless we find something that truly makes him happy, my bird-brained husband is going to continue to make my life difficult.
Alphonse:
(With a twist of his moustache and a gleam in his eye)
Your highness, I believe you just gave me an idea.
Empress:
What is it?
Alphonse:
It is a prize quite dangerous to acquire. Finding it would be treacherous. Trapping it is unheard of. To even lay eyes on it is considered blasphemous.
Ophelia:
Spit it out already!
Alphonse:
It’s a bird.
Empress:
He has thousands of birds.
Alphonse:
It is a magical Nightingale whose song can heal wounds of the spirit and the flesh. It is the guardian of the forest. The goddess of the night. A creature of the moon whose power is insurmountable. One of a kind. Possibly our only hope of healing his heart.
Empress:
(Considers this)
A magical bird that heals hearts, you say?
(Ophelia and Alphonse stare.)
(The people in the bushes and sculptures stare.)
Empress:
Well alright, it’s worth a try. How does one find this mythic beast?
Alphonse:
We must go into the enchanted forest at midnight. That is when they say it appears. But only in the presence of the pure-hearted.
Ophelia:
The pure-hearted? What does that mean?
Alphonse:
You know. Like a soul untouched by malice or greed. A kind spirit with a calm aura. A beautiful person too good for this world.
Empress:
(Stands up)
Say no more, Alphonse. I’ll leave at once and you two are coming with me. My beautiful soul will lure the god beast into our clutches. And then I’ll finally be rid of my useless husband’s accursed melancholy. Ah ha ha ha!
Ophelia and Alphonse:
Marvelous idea, your highness!
Empress:
I know, right?
THAT NIGHT:
Narrator:
The deeper they tread into the enchanted forest, the more magical it became. The sky faded darker. The stars shone brighter. Every leaf and dewy surface seemed to give off an iridescent purple glow. The Empress, Ophelia, Alphonse, and two enormous guards marched through the ethereal wood.
Empress:
(Stomps through the mud in her thigh-high boots and fashionable cape)
Helloooo? Magical bird beast! Show yourself!
Ophelia:
Your Majesty, perhaps if you didn’t shout.
Alphonse:
The legends say the Nightingale appears in the same spot every night at midnight. If only we knew where.
Empress:
Well you’re the brains behind this expedition. You should have mentioned that before we left.
Alphonse:
I assumed your majesty’s pure heart would chart our course.
Empress:
Don’t get smart with me Al.
Ophelia:
What if we used a bird call?
Awoooo! Awooooooooo!
Alphonse:
What if we consulted the stars? I’m sure there’s a scientific trajectory to its location.
Empress:
What if we set a trap?
(A hooded stranger appears from the brush. He smells like the trees and speaks in a gruff voice.)
The Hooded Stranger:
What if you left?
(The trio gasps and steps back. The two stone-faced guards ready their weapons. They are so stone-faced, their complexion actually looks gray.)
The Empress:
Who are you? Show yourself!
The Hooded Stranger:
(lowers the hood of his cloak to reveal a man about the Emperor’s age with brown hair, green eyes, and a beard that has leaves in it)
My name is Richard, and I live in this forest.
Ophelia:
(Fans her nose)
Clearly.
Alphonse:
Richard… I know you! You’re that woodsman that delivers our shipments of exotic animals. You’re an expert hunter and trapper. What luck!
Richard:
You should leave this place. Mortals never come this deep into the forest. It’s not safe here.
Empress:
We’re not leaving without a magical bird whose song heals hearts. Have you heard of it? This nightingale?
Richard:
You’re looking for the nightingale? What on earth for?
Empress:
To get my buffoon of a husband out of my hair.
Ophelia:
(Speaks quickly)
His royal majesty is terribly heartsick, kind woodsman. He doesn’t sleep. He barely eats. All of the joy and color has left his life. We fear for his health and safety you see. We hope that the power of this magical bird can heal him so that he might lead our kingdom to prosperity.
(winks at Alphonse, who smirks back)
Richard:
(Ponders this)
The Emperor is a foolish man. Childlike and greedy. But he is also kind. I knew him once, when we were children. We played together when the royal family would summer on the edge of the woods. He greets me warmly whenever I enter the palace, even if I’m not sure he remembers who I am.
Alphonse:
I am sure that if you helped us in our quest to bring him relief, the Emperor would be eternally grateful.
Ophelia:
Please kind sir, he is very sick.
Empress:
(Mumbles)
Sick in the head.
Alphonse:
Please?
Richard:
(Sighs)
Alright. I’ll take you to where the Nightingale appears. But I cannot guarantee it will agree to help you. The gods of this forest don’t like humans.
Narrator:
They walked for hours, deeper still into the forest where ominous paw prints loomed in the dirt. Mirror-eyed deer stared back at them with branches of cherry blossoms sprouted from their antlers. Glowing insects the likes of which they had never seen floated about the scenery. Eventually, they came upon a moonlit clearing. In the clearing was a small, still mirror pond and star-leafed tree. Here, Richard held out his hand and told them to stay hidden.
Richard:
(Checks his watch)
It’s almost midnight.
Alphonse:
Is it a large bird, or…?
Empress:
There!
(She points excitedly toward a family of elk grazing at the water’s edge)
Ophelia:
Radiant!
Alphonse:
Truly a spectacle.
Richard:
Are… are you guys on something? Those are elk.
Ophelia:
Over there!
(She points excitedly at something that looks like a cross between an owl and a cat)
Empress:
Good heavens, the Nightingale appears!
Alphonse:
It’s glorious!
Richard:
Are you just messing with me, or—?
Alphonse:
There. Look!
Narrator:
Fluttering from the treetops came a bird with snow white wings and a long silken tail. It was smaller than they thought. Not a beast at all, but an elegant creature of the night. Darkness seemed to have no effect on it. Its feathers shone like moonlight upon the glittering pond.
Richard:
That’s it. That’s the nightingale.
Empress:
That’s it? That’s the god of the forest? Give me a break.
Richard:
Seriously? A second ago you were singing praises over an Owlcat.
Empress:
A second ago I couldn’t feel my face.
Richard:
(Rolls his eyes in exasperation)
I knew it.
Empress:
Don’t judge me. The forest is boring.
(They are interrupted when the Nightingale begins to sing. It’s a sweet song. Pleasant to the ears. But the longer it sings, the more a warmth begins to swell in their chests. The forest seems to pulse a little lighter. The moonlight beams ever brighter, and every living creature stops to listen.)
(The four hidden humans are rendered speechless, each with tears in their eyes. Even the two guards beside them, who are looking suddenly rather metallic, let slip a few stray tears of motor oil.)
(When the bird’s song is over, the forest is left quaking with joy.)
Richard:
(Sniffling and wiping his eyes)
You see? The nightingale’s magic is real.
Empress:
It’s amazing. My heart feels so light.
Ophelia:
I feel like I just hugged my Mom. I feel like I suddenly love my Mom.
Alphonse:
It’s everything I dreamed of and more.
Richard:
We must approach it slowly and respectfully. Bow your heads and beg the forest god to save the life of the Emperor. She is temperamental, so—.
Alphonse:
(Claps Richard on the shoulder)
Good work woodsman. You’re an excellent guide and I love you, as I love all beings in the universe in the afterglow of hearing that magical song.
Richard:
Um, thanks.
Alphonse:
(Unceremoniously punches Richard, knocking him out)
GET THE BIRD!!!
(The guards, who by now are quite obviously robots, stand and ready their bows and arrows. The arrows are unusual, twinkling solid gold. And they let them fly just as the Nightingale starts to take flight.)
(Moments later, the white bird is down, disappeared behind the brush. The Empress and her advisors spring to their feet.)
Empress:
Alphonse, what have you done? The Nightingale is no good to us dead!
Alphonse:
It’s not dead, look.
(He pulls back the tall grass where the Nightingale fell, revealing none other than a woman lying unconscious with a golden arrow in her shoulder blade)
Ophelia:
(Gasps)
Alphonse:
Being speared with gold forces magical beings to take human form. This way she cannot be tracked by her husband, the Raven.
Empress:
Birds can get married?
Alphonse:
God birds can. And believe me, the Raven will not take kindly to us borrowing his dear wife. Best to take her like this.
Guards! Cease them both.
Empress:
Come! Let us return to the palace before these uppers turn into downers.
Narrator:
And so they left, cackling wildly into the forest where humans are forbidden.

Meet my Characters
at least, my RPG characters. Well, the ones I love to play the most.
Sparky, the Kender Sorcerer (originally DnD 3.5): my first character, Sparky Catt is a kender that was raised by humans after being found floating in the river. She has memory problems, suspected from hitting her head while in the river as a babe. She... she managed to find a portion of the Deck of Many Things and level up a couple times beyond the rest of the party. She is said to be "a great smitter of justice" which is hilarious cause kenders are chaotic. I've ported her to Pathfinder and 5e games. (general hiatus)
Fluffy, the snowman Paladin (a la Marshmallow from Frozen). We have a Disney Frozen 5e game. Fluffy is one of the baby snowman from Spring Fever. She uses whatever pronouns, because "water is fluid", and her war cry is "FOR MOMMY!!!" The party had a discussion at one point on whether Fluffy counts as a princess (it was decided that no, while recognized as creations/children of Elsa, the snow constructs are not in line for the throne, and thus are not royalty). When our usual Party Face is not there, FLUFFY is the Face of the party. And she... doesn't quite understand how money works. (general hiatus)
Orsolya "Ula" Dovkin is... a bear. An albino Asian Black Bear, specifically. This is what our group calls the Eshia campaign, a complete 5e homebrew that's anthropomorphic. So yeah, albino black bear fighter. Who was raised by elephant monks and is actually kinda smart, yet has yet to clue in that she's a Prophet (everyone else knows; she has monks and priests following her around, but nope, doesn't notice). Also, she LOVES noodles. (and yes, I did name her "bear" multiple times) (general hiatus)
Cordelia Clanofnone, esq, Tempest Cleric and Champion of Kord. So, she's my first character for "the evil campaign". I was literally asked to join the game the night before because they needed a tank/healer to keep the sorcerer alive. So I threw Cordelia together. She's a hill dwarf who grew up in an orphanage (... are you seeing a trend?) who then ran off to become a sailor and see the world. And then Kord was like "hey, I want you to be my cleric," and she was "ah FUCK!!!" She and Kord have an interesting relationship. and she's a terrible cleric. But somehow is his champion. she hates it. (retired)
Janna Howard, necromancer of little infamy. My second character for the evil campaign. We got a few more tank characters into the game, so my DM let me pull Cordelia out and bring in Janna. Janna is inspired by Johannes Cabal, a character and series by Jonathan L Howard. She's an aasimar who was SUPPOSED to become a cleric, but decided to write a thesis instead. And murder her way to her research materials. Janna does things like burn down fake libraries, summon Orcus to call him a bitch, murder whole cults (for their books), steal from incubi, and trap her angelic guide into an amulet. She may or may not have accidentally endeared herself to Lolth. Most of the time I play her, I'm sipping tea and making judgmental comments in my notebook. (hiatus due to baby)
Feri identifies as a Murder Cupcake. She's my current Vampire the Masquerade LARP character (Sabbat setting). She's a Brujah brawler with amnesia, whose memory starts ~100 years ago and doesn't remember being human at all. She's strong, she's sweet and social, and she's not very smart. However, she's literally walked across an underworld (sort of, she was carried for a bit) and back into the material plane. Her interests are pretty pink (lolita) dresses, and M U R D E R. Her current pack is Les Fées Vertes, which is... mostly Toreador, so it's very pretty. For a while, Feri was the only girl, so I joked that she had a boy band. Hm, and Feri tends to assign a familial relationship title to packmates and... pretty much everyone who isn't "meat." (pandemic hiatus)
Kwami, Lashunta Solarian. Starfinder game. Okay, she doesn't have much personality. But she's the only melee fighter in a party of ranged fighters and spellcasters, so she's fun. Also, she's a solarian, so she gets a star sword :) (general hiatus)
MYSELF. We're playing an isekai version of Curse of Strahd. So, we're basing our initial class and race on one of those personality quizzes. We point-bought our status "so the module has a chance to kill us." We have made. So. Many. Jokes. Including the fact that we're mostly spellcasters wielding staffs, so we should challenge Strahd to Quidditch. *I* am playing a Divine Soul Human (variant) Sorcerer/Paladin. And like most of our party, I'm Chaotic Good. Yes, I've almost died several times. Usually my own fault. There were shinies.

Sorry for the influx of messages from me but I want to know, do you have a favorite Animal Crossing villager? My favorite is Tangy.
Tumblr media
“Aww, never feel sorry for talkin’ to me! My apologies for not gettin’ to ‘em sooner— I really should do better ‘bout answerin’ things in order, but sometimes inspiration strikes outta order n’ I get distracted thinkin’ o’ new ones cause they’re freshest on my mind. Rest assured that I ain’t tryna ignore y’all or make y’all wait or nothin’ n’ I always enjoy hearin’ from ya!”
Tumblr media
“Far as animal crossin’ villagers go, are we talkin’ on a strictly visual basis, or just outta ones I got, or ones that have a special place in my heart for one reason or another?
I’ll go ahead n’ answer to all the above!”
Tumblr media
“... Not to follow the crowd, but Merengue has to be one o’ the most precious lil’ things I ever seen. Even if our outfits didn’t match, just... Just lookit her! She’s a lil’ pink rhino with, well, merengue lookin’ markin’s on her head n’ a lil’ strawberry for a horn?? What could be more precious than that? Plus her pretty lil’ eyelashes and lil’ rosy cheeks? And callin’ people shortcake?? It’s like she was made to specifically be adorable to me!
Got pretty attached to Monique back when I had the ol’ GameCube version. Her dramatic eyeshadow n’ brows n’ red lipstick n’ beauty mark reminds me of Marilyn Monroe n’ I’ve always enjoyed that kinda starlet look. The Animal Crossin’ characters that got hair slapped on top o’ their heads ain’t alwaus my favorite stylistic choice, but I don’t think it stands out in a bad way on Monique. Was pretty fond o’ the color of her original outfit she starts off in at that point too, so there’s that.
I remember seein’ Ruby n’ thinkin’ it was cool that she was a white rabbit n’ they have her red eyes like albino rabbits do. Know I keep on sayin’ the same things, but she’s really cute. Always did have a soft spot for white rabbits n’ white rabbit characters. Plus her lil’ freckles are a nice touch.
Tia is another favorite! I know I’ve mentioned that elephants are one o’ my very favorite animals, and an elephant that looks like a teapot?? She’s up there with Merengue in terms o’ character designs that seem catered to me! I’m really hopin’ I get her as one o’ my villagers sometime.
Willow, Stella, n’ Vesta are all cute to me too. The designs of the sheep characters all seem exceptionally round n’ cutesie to me, which is why I’m combinin’ ‘em all together here. Sheep are already soft n’ cute in reality, n’ givin’ ‘em pretty colorin’ and them cute lil’ faces is just a win all ‘round. Stella’s the only one of those mentioned that I actually had. GameCube version for her too if I remember right.
Pierce is one I got in New Horizons that I wasn’t necessarily fond of at first— far as birds go, I’m glad he’s blue n’ I prefer the more eagle-like designs over the more robin lookin’ ones, but I still wasn’t initially interested n’ probably woulda jumped at the opportunity if he woulda said he was gonna move out. But then he gave me this gem—”
Tumblr media
“—and after that, I realized he was too much of a himbo to not be fond of him. Before that, he told me he made a flower crown n’ gave me a recipe for that too.”

Rare baby albino elephant spotted 08 April 2019, Masai Mara .
An extremely rare phenomenon. No one has seen a pink elephant before.
Unfortunately due to its light skin, it has very little sun protection,
thus might not survive the harsh African sun.

Dragon City
(Story Post)
The group had been led into a glass elevator gilded in gold. There were ten levels not including the parking and ground floor, though including a basement level. Sydryn explained each dragon had their own floor and the basement was also a residence. The floors were mostly by personal preference and not hierarchy, beyond the top two floors which were reserved for the two eldest dragons. Sydryn happened to be second oldest and therefore owned the ninth floor. As soon as the elevator cleared the ground level, it was suddenly clear that they were being propelled up along the inner wall of the building overlooking a grand courtyard. While ten floors above ground did not lend itself to a particularly tall building, it was however very expansive and covered at least a few acres of land. For Sydryn to own an entire floor put their wealth into perspective. Below in the courtyard was a large garden surrounding what appeared to be a pink zoo. By pink, it meant every animal they could see was naturally pink: flamingos, pigs, butterflies, spoonbills, snakes, and so on. There was even an albino elephant taking a mud bath by the edge of a pond of pink water and a hummingbird with a pink head flew up to look at them through the glass elevator.
“What makes the water pink?” Dusty asked. “Plankton and shrimp,” Sydryn answered. “Not a fan of animals in captivity…” Ruben stated. “Thank you for your unsolicited opinion,” Sydryn said dryly. Dusty glanced at Ruben. “…You don’t want to criticise a dragon’s hoard.” “Not a single one of my creatures desires to live anywhere else,” Sydryn stated. “They are well tended to and understand the comfort and honour that comes with being a part of my hoard.” They arrived on the ninth floor and stepped out into wide living space. The marble floors were pink, the ceiling was pink, the furniture—just imagine the most luxurious penthouse and colour every item pink. Some things were so close in hue that it was hard to tell where one item began and another ended. The far wall revealed itself to be a floor to ceiling jellyfish tank. More and more creatures seemed to be appearing in different nooks of the residence as the visitors walked in, including an axolotl in a tank on the kitchen counter, a pair of rose breasted cockatoos on the back of the couch, and a fairy armadillo curled up in a ball near the hallway leading around the courtyard. Ruben jumped back when some kind of creature came bounding out from behind the couch and right up to Dante. “Who is this?” Dante asked, delighted as he let whatever it was lick his face. Clearly, it looked like some kind of dog, skinny and long much like a greyhound, but it was very pink and had little black hooves instead of paws. It had the ears and cheek fluff of a lynx and black/pink stripe pattern similar to that of an okapi. “Rozovyy, down,” Sydryn ordered, snapping their fingers. The beast dropped off Dante and slunk around the dragon’s legs. “What is that?” Ruben asked. “Rozovyy is an extraterrestrial dog species,” Sydryn said. “The planet of origin is yet unknown but they are related to Earth’s canine’s. The Russians called them nochnyye sobaki, or night dogs, since they came from the night sky.” “So that's an alien?” Ruben asked. “Yes. But so are you, in this moment,” Sydryn commented. “Please. Your clothes await you in your rooms. First three down the hall on the right... Ascending by height.” Dante and Dusty looked at each other to determine who was shortest, since it was obvious Ruben was the tallest among them. Dusty turned out to be shortest in this form so he had the closest room. They all retired to their respective rooms and changed. Ruben expected some kind of robes or ritualistic attire, but instead found items almost identical to his favourite clothes at home. His orange tank top with his favourite band's logo was there except the orange was—if he were Syd and knew the names of each shade of pink—coral and the logo was a deep rosewood. But he wasn't Syd so it was all just hella pink. When Dante was done he walked over to Ruben's room to see him. “Look, it’s my favourite crewneck,” Dante said, holding his arms out. “It even has the one shoulder patch I sewed on… Except, ya know, pink.” “This place is creeping me out,” Ruben stated, just sitting on the bed and looking down to a pink pair of shoes identical to the pair he was just wearing. “That tank top,” Dante said, pointing to him and walking over. “You were wearing it when we met.” Ruben looked up and blushed. “…You remember that?” Dante nodded. “Now your face matches. Dusty can actually turn pink… Wonder if we’ll have to bathe in body paint.” “If it comes to that, I’m cool with, like, a salmon tone…” Ruben muttered. “Rowan would love it here,” Dante said. “He loves pink.” “Yeah. Guess we should call them soon,” Ruben said. Dante nodded. “Did you get an itinerary with your clothes?” Ruben turned around and got up, finding a dossier where he was sitting that he hadn’t noticed earlier. “They’re that kinda person, huh?” “Yeah, we have dinner next, and then a free period after. The ritual is first thing tomorrow morning after breakfast…” Dante rolled his lips. “You’re nervous,” Ruben said, standing up straight. “I don’t know what’s going to happen tomorrow and it scares me,” Dante said. “Can I see your itinerary?” Ruben nodded and handed over the dossier. Dante looked through the pages and licked his lips. “Yours is longer…” “Longer?” “I… Mine ends tomorrow.” Ruben swapped itineraries with him and frowned deeply. “What?” “There's a recovery period…” Dante explained. “Syd expects it to be about a week, but it's not certain. The ritual's a lot like surgery too so… You know, there's a small chance I might not make it.” “You know, you don't have to do this,” Ruben said, putting a hand on Dante's shoulder. “No one's making you.” “I am. I have to do this,” Dante said. “I'm just really scared.” Ruben rubbed the back of his neck, then pulled Dante into a hug. He rubbed his back gently. “Listen… I'm still upset. But I get what you're doing and I'm only here because you want me to be. I'm here for you.” Dante gripped the back of Ruben's shirt and sobbed. “Rube… I'm really sorry… I'm really really sorry… I should've been truthful with you since the very beginning. I never thought I'd be in this position… And now, we're in an unknown country somewhere without contact with the outer world and I'm about to undergo some kind of ritual that I might not come out of in one piece… ” “Shut up, it's fine…” Ruben said. “You're going to be okay.” Dante nodded slowly. “I love you… I love you so much.” Ruben smiled and huffed. “You’re not just saying all this to make me pity you and forgive you, are you?” Dante shook his head. “I’m serious.” Ruben sighed and held Dante tighter. “I love you, too.” Dante sniffled and squeezed his boyfriend tightly. Ruben patted his back and held him until the he settled down. He pulled away and cupped his chin. “Everything will be fine. We can’t get married if you die.” Dante looked up to Ruben. “…You still want to marry me?” Ruben shrugged. “I might.” Dante broke a chuckle and wiped his eyes. “…I haven’t even said yes yet.” The door pushed open and Rozovyy pattered in and tugged on Ruben’s pant leg. “Dinner time, right?” Dante asked, patting Rozovyy’s head. “We’ll be right there.” The dog wagged both its tails and galloped out of the room. Dante took Ruben’s hand and guided him out of the room. Dusty was already at the dinner table waiting for them. He’d turned demon so he could be pink for Sydryn’s home, so technically he was nude. They tried not to think about that fact. Syd came out now changed into a robe and slippers. They sat at the head of the table and waited for their guests to join them before beginning the meal. Ruben and Dante sat down across from Dusty and looked over their meal. In the centre of the table was a smorgasbord of finger foods. The main protein was a series of rolled meats and salamis, slices of beats and radishes for the veggie content, a fruit salad of grapefruit, guava, lychee, and peach, and a whole blender full of strawberry, raspberry, and dragon fruit smoothie. “…Are we only going to eat pink food all week?” Ruben asked. “That is what I have currently. I understand that humans also need greens in their diet, so I have made exceptions for your future meals, however I am in need of a grocery run,” Sydryn explained. “Can we order Uber Eats?” Ruben asked rhetorically. Sydryn did not grace that with an answer. “Did you get a chance to go over your itineraries?” “Yes…” Dante said. “…Memorised.” “Good. While you have free time after this, the bed time is less of a suggestion and more of a direction,” Sydryn stated. “We have an early morning.” Dante nodded. “The meal looks very good.” “You’ll need your energy,” Sydryn said. “Indulge yourself. I have raspberry cheesecake and macarons set for dessert.” “Ruben, you love cheesecake,” Dante said, nudging his partner and smiling. Ruben nodded silently. Dusty was looking at Sydryn, properly examining his friend now that they weren’t crammed into a car. “I like what you’ve done with your hair.” Sydryn pulled the length of their braid over their shoulder. “Have to change things up every couple decades…” “It’s a very nurturing look,” Dusty said. “Darathan.” “What?” Dusty gestured to Dante. “Am I wrong?” “No,” Dante said. “But I think you saw Syd more recently than we last did so I don’t really remember how their hair was before.” “You should see how much hair they have with it all out,” Dusty said. “It’s like you could swim in it. Syd, can you show them?” “And ruin my braid? Certainly not.” Dusty pouted. “Aw, come on. Please? I can braid it back up for you.” “That’s worse.” “So… You left Canada for months to look for a way to break the pact between these two?” Ruben asked. Sydryn shook his head. “No. I chose to do some research while I was here.” “Why are you here then?” Ruben asked. “I heard APID’s been left to some wacko ghost doctor.” “A lot of people want you back,” Dante added. “First, Dr Gardi is more than capable of handling affairs there in my stead,” Sydryn stated. “And second, my reason for being here is none of your business.” “Oh, come on, Syd,” Dusty said. “If you can trust them to be here, you can trust them to know.” “You know?” Ruben inquired. “Yes, of course,” Dusty said. “Syd trusts me with their life.” “That is far from the truth,” Sydryn said. “I only told you so you’d stop complaining when I sent you out of my home.” “Oh my god, I forgot about that,” Dante said, getting upset. “Why would you do that? He has a child! You sent them to the street!” “Now hold on a moment,” Sydryn stated. “First of all, Dusty paid absolutely no rent in all the time he lived with me. Second, when he had Grey, he promised he would find employment and his own room and board. He never did. Third, when it came time for me to leave, I did not send him to the street. I sent him to you. The father of his child. Fourth, I knew it would motivate him to actually pursue employment and find his own space. Is he not both employed and living in his own home right now? He is.” “You put him through hell,” Dante stated. “He is a demon. If I thought he couldn’t handle hell, I’d never have let him into my home in the first place.” Sydryn gestured around them. “I, if you hadn’t notice before, prefer to be alone. And yet it seems like everywhere I turn, people want to make sure that does not happen.” “So, what then? You just came here to run away from everyone?” Dante asked. “I thought you were hundreds of years old. Real mature.” Sydryn stood up quickly and slammed the table, their angered face crinkling into scales and their claws digging into the wood. “Don’t presume to know anything about me, human! I am not some childish fool who runs away from all their problems! I only desire to be here as much as you do! But I have responsibilities to my people and as much as I’d love to let them all die off one by one, I have a duty to them! But you could never understand that could you? Your little human brain can’t even respect the responsibility you have to take care of the demon who willingly gave himself to you!” “Syd.” Dusty had also stood, spreading his wings and glaring at his host. “Calm down.” The dragon glowered over at Dusty, but wrenched their claws free of the table, pulled their robe tighter around them and stormed off to their room. Dusty let out a loud sigh and tucked away his wings. “…Dante, I swear… Leave Syd alone.” “Leave—leave them alone?!” Dante scoffed. “Did you not just hear them insult me like that?” “I mean, you started it, but we won’t get into that,” Dusty stated. “Syd’s going through a lot right now, dealing with the other dragons and the hormones, and we should just be grateful they set time out for us to research and perform this ritual.” Dante motioned around. “They live in a fucking dragon mansion. I doubt they even have to see the other dragons around here with this much space. What could possibly be pissing them—” “Hormones?” Ruben interjected. He had spent most of the conversation trying to gather any hints and info he could about their situation and now he was looking down, piecing it all together. “‘Let them all die off...’ ‘Duty...’ Dante, I think the dragon’s pregnant.” Dante paused and looked at Ruben, then back to Dusty. “Is that true?” “Uh…” Dusty teetered on his hooves. “I didn’t tell you though. You figured it out on your own so it’s not my fault.” “Why wouldn’t they want us to know they’re pregnant?” Dante asked. “It’s complicated.” A door opened and shut down the hall, and they expected it to be Sydryn returning so they all sat back down, but their surprise a new face peeked in, scratching the back of their curly haired head. “Oh, hoi. You guys are new… I heard yelling? Is everything alright?”
