Thursday, August 31, 1871…??:?? PM
I...guess I’m going to start at the beginning...
We entered the dungeon, and Jester began to instruct us on the basics of combat. All of which were covered in class so I had some passing familiarity with them. The pioneers walked from safe spot to safe spot while Ark and I got up close and personal with various CIMA nests. Even one Jester told us not to go near...Ark couldn’t say “no” to the allure of treasure. At least it was a useful Poison Block...if it had been a simple Potion A, with two medical professionals in our group, I would have screamed!
But it was on the third floor when everything went south! We discovered that the dungeon had been created by Pike Nighttrap, one of the Crimson Nine. CIMA’s leaders...this ought to be fun! Jester wasn’t about to let us two fight him, since somebody had to rescue the pioneers and he was more capable of standing up in a fight.
Vanrose...didn’t like that! He got angry at our “abandonment” of our leader and all of the pioneers started to panic. Looooooooooovely...last thing we needed. No, the last thing we needed was for Jester to get impaled, just as we ran back to help him to get the guy to shut up! There was nothing more we could do so we went back to save the others...
...sorry! I...I just wasn’t expecting to lose such a great man. Someone I looked up to...
Ark and I led everyone back the way we came, until reaching the first floor. The dungeon shook wildly from...I’m still not sure what Jester was trying to do. He said he was going to destroy the dungeon with this odd, purple Majesty. And Pike seemed to think he needed a Plug...whatever that is. But it wasn’t enough to kill our enemy, it seems. I saw a flash of light, and when I came to I was lying on the ground in front of the train with Ark...and no pioneers.
My partner was understandably shaken. I can’t blame him for once, considering what just happened. But I know they’re alive! CIMA can’t take our hope away so soon. That new dungeon that just appeared probably holds the key to begin rescuing everyone.
We’re taking a breather to get our bearings. Sadly, it seems my watch is going to be useless. I can’t get it to work...something in the air here must be interfering with whatever they made this watch out of. But finding everyone as fast as possible is more important than what time we find them at, so it’s not going to be a problem.
Ah, Ark appears to be ready! Let’s go rescue the pioneers!

When playing FF XIII-2, I always wondered why Caius looked familiar. Now I remember : he reminds me of Pike Nighttrap from CIMA: The Enemy. I am probably the only one who thought this though, haha.
