Pika pika! ⚡⚡⚡ . When I first put this cosplay on and took these photos, I was on my way to take some photos in it with @soulesskitten, with the intention of changing into Videl for the GAAM Anime Show that night. In the car, wearing this, I got the phone call from my family that I needed to pack a bag and come down to Tampa as soon as possible. I took this off, scrubbed my face, and went to see my mom for the last time. . The costume has sat in the same spot, tossed over my dressform, since then, and a few things have changed in those 40 or so days. I didn't think I'd end up wearing this or Videl again (or posting these photos) because of what I now associate both of those cosplays with, but then @ladyvalkyriehrist, also part of the amazing group of friends who were there for me through this, suggested that she wanted to wear Squirtle for an upcoming event on the 22nd. And as cheesy as this sounds, getting out there in this surrounded by GAAMfam could help. And as much as the amount of time I spent cosplay and conventions worried my parents, my mom was supportive of my art and seeing the photos of my creations. . I'm sure you all have seen my rants about my serger being broken and things unrelated to cosplay in my story (I see you unfollowing me 👀😂)! I promise I'll have some new creations once that serger is fixed. I do have fabric and finally have the inspiration, but my serger just adds that finishing touch to the seam that makes the costume last forever!
