      It’s amazing, really, that he made it all the way to the Sugar Rush cabinet without becoming disillusioned. Game Central Station? It was Intergalactic Customs. To Buzz, this was yet another world with the potential of falling into Emperor Zurg’s (who was more than likely behaving himself over at the arcade’s villain support group) evil clutches——something to protect and explore.

✬;; - It had to look absolutely ridiculous. The girl didn’t even come up to Tamora’s hips and yet she was taking care of the woman who towered over her. But it had been a particularly grueling day. Lots of players, and though Calhoun was not a playable character, she’d managed to caught up in quite the pickle.  

❝ Vanellope it’s just a couple of scratches. They’ll be gone with my game restarts tomorrow morning. I’m....❞

She’d gone to move as she spoke and the searing pain in her side caused her to, well, stop with a groan. Why did that seem to hurt worse? Perhaps it was because she was outside her own game.

❝ .... fine. ❞

She let out an agitated sigh and moved back toward the small girl. Normally not one to give into defeat so quickly, it surprised even her. Had it been almost anyone else she would have told them in not-so-nice terms to leave her alone.

She wasn’t about to do that to the kid. 

❝ You’re wasting your time. This will all be gone when the games reset. You do realize that right? Besides, this is nothing. ❞

Giffany doesn’t tend to go outside much but when she does something weird usually happens. Giffany usually tries to stay out of it but most times she dragged into it. However, everything seemed to be going fine. Until she saw a little girl running from a shopkeeper. Giffany was just going to slowly walk away, until Giffany accidentally bumped into the girl. Giffany almost screamed && she couldn’t even act calm at the moment.

i rp’ed this dude back in 2013 offsite (of course before the release of the second movie). it was hella fun rping this guy. i miss the hell outta this dude lmao cause... it wasn’t that he was easy to portray, it’s just that he was easy to shove in a fandom. anyway. i gotta stop rambling.

Toriel told them the world outside was dangerous.

Frisk couldn’t doubt her. The Boss Monster herself wasn’t quite as overprotective when she wasn’t playing her onscreen role, and her warnings were used sparingly and seriously.

The thing was...

...they just didn’t care. Especially months in after nothing but the same thing. Same dialogue, same lack of gameplay, same food, even if Toriel tried to help by switching up her pies from butterscotch-cinnamon to snail

Could anyone really blame them--a protagonist and a kid--for exploring the network nearby, and jumping at the chance to slip into a real Candyland? 

So that’s just what they did. Slipping down the rainbow path late at night, listening to an excitedly lisping voice echo across the gamescape. Perfect timing for them to get into the peppermint forest, snap off a branch to gnaw on, and explore.  

They’d be in and out without anyone knowing.
