IT WAS DUE TO WATCHING ANGEL THAT KITTY FIRST BECAME AWARE OF HER SENTIENCE & REALIZE SHE HAD INDIVIDUAL THOUGHTS, DESIRES & WANTS. LIKE HERSELF, ANGEL IS TIED DOWN TO VALENTINO THOUGH NOT BY HER OWN FREE WILL, AS SHE WAS LITERALLY MADE FOR HIM. IT CAUGHT HER ATTENTION THAT ANGEL, SOMEONE SHE INITIALLY THOUGHT WAS IN THE SAME POSITION AS HER, DIDN’T FEEL AS SHE DOES. HE REACTS WITH PAIN, SADNESS & ANGER, WHICH ARE EMOTIONS SHE HADN’T PREVIOUSLY REGISTERED. IT HAD TAKEN TO SEE ANGEL GETTING ABUSED & HIM REACTING TO SAID ABUSE TO MAKE HER REALIZE THAT SHE ALSO HURTS & HAS THE NEED TO CRY, SCREAM & BREAK DOWN. THIS HAPPENED EARLY ON WHEN SHE FIRST ARRIVED, THOUGH ONLY KITTY KNOWS THE INFLUENCE ANGEL HAS HAD ON HER. ANGEL OUTRIGHT DISLIKES KITTY, THINKING OF HER AS CREEPY.

In other words: Angel is important to Kitty in a lot of different aspects. He probably hates her canonically, ( I think so anyway ) but she still admires him & has a soft spot for him to the point where she'll even shut off her live feed if she can help it,
