I know that this might be a theory somewhere in the vastness of the ninjago fandom, but what if Ras’s master is Wu himself?

I mean… Ras does mention he’s trying to find ways to reverse the merged lands. In the beginning of one of the episodes, it starts out with Wu trying to stop the merge from happening, and it does feel strange that one of the spirits would lead Jay to what we can assume is where the shadow dojo landed. Why else would Jay end up in area with people who are assumed to be the villains?

Honestly, I love this theory. It implies that maybe small wisps of his memories are coming back, but only the bad ones due to him shattering his goodness.

Like, it’s possible that he shows such disdain towards Nya isn’t because he doesn’t love her anymore, but maybe it’s because he thinks she’s already dead. Ras weirdly knows a lot about the ninja, so maybe he knows something about how Nya merged with the sea. Jay probably thinks that Nya is just probably an imposter. Someone like Delara, u know, Nadakhan’s WIFE! He’s a master at manipulating people who are missing parts of their hearts.

He was able to manipulate Jordana bc she felt inadequate, she wanted validation that no one gave her.

Arin misses his parents and he’s starting to lose hope that the ninja can help him

He’s gotten in Lloyd’s head about not living up to Wu’s expectations. Not living up to his dead uncle.

Human beings are only good for about three heartbreaks.

The memories may be gone but the scars are still there.

His goodness isn’t the only thing that is shattered.

I just finished watching a recent TannerFishies video and it made me think of something about Kai.

Do you believe that it’s in Kai’s nature to lie to those close to him to protect them from what he believes is the devastating truth?

Like, do you think Kai would repeat his actions in Hands of Time in Dragons Rising if it comes down to it? Similarly to how Kai tried to hide the fact that he believed that their parents were evil to Nya for most of that season.

OKAY, THEORY TIME!

Okay not really, just hear me out tho…

What if the Departed Realm is on the same plane of existence as The Merged Realms?

I could imagine the team not being able to save Jay, thus making him end up in the Departed Realm.

I know I’m just spitballing here, but what if it ends up being an Orpheus-Eurydice storyline with Jay and Nya? I feel like we were deprived of an actual arc of Jay going through an extremely heavy loss, and I just kinda like the idea of them mimicking the myth of two tragic lovers.

Is it just me or is is it funny that the human equivalent of Drake Mallard’s name would be Manny Human or something like along those lines

I believe that they’re engaged. I believe this bc of mainly from that one line in MotM where Murtessa asked Jay if he was betrothed, and Nya her and Jay were.

Idk man… I personally headcannon that they were planning a wedding before the merge happened.

I’ve actually been trying to redo some of my ninjago designs as of late and I’ve been trying to make more prominent some of my favorite features of the designs

Likes 👍

- I love the change of hairstyles of the new ninja(except Kai and zane)

- The different color combos are nice too(Cole’s gi have orange as an accent color and Nya’s gray to her blue)

- Jay’s freckles help make his character seem a bit more immature, which I believe help with his comic relief role

- I really liked Jay’s auburn hair from the earlier seasons

Dislikes 👎

- This is more of an early ninjago design thing, but I hated how Cole’s face was lower on his head compared to the other characters

- Lloyd’s freaking bowl cut

- I didn’t like Nya’s bob cut either

- As mentioned above, I didn’t like the post season 8 hairstyles for Zane and Kai

-the first set of dragon suits are my least favorite outfits

I honestly love these interpretations of very small and mundane things from the show. I feel like if this show is ever rebooted, I feel like it would be nice to touch upon these small storytelling elements.

DW91 Drake has so much potential to be so much deeper. The show already touches on so many things dealing with Drake’s insecurities, I would love to see how this would be interpreted with a modern lense

//A Home//

This is very much a self indulgent piece cause I had written something short related to this AGES ago, but I'll explain my thoughts with another ramble (this whole thing is kinda based off him adjusting to normal life again)

Basically, as small as it is, I can never forget that Drake has a fish in his room. A pet, something he deems he has no 'time' for when gosalyn brings them up, and yet, he has a goldfish. One that stands alone in a bowl.

I like to think that the episode 'That Sinking Feeling' is one of their earlier adventures, hence the shitty fish bowl, but later, he invested in a nicer aquarium-decorated in plants n' nicknacks, to make it more homely (I will come back to this point.)

But like, looking at Drake's room, it's rather empty. A bed, closet, bedside table, a singular chair next to the door. It's scarcely decorated, I think it's simply due to the fact that he doesn't spend any time there. Hes often out on missions, and sleeping where he can-transport, couch etc... But a bedroom of his own in itself is something he didn't have before his family. Like I said before, he had a bed overlooking saint canard, not a home.

Back to the fish; he'd use it to unwind. The gentleness of the animal in the tank helps him relax after a bad day. I like the contrast of the two-that the fish would have a comfortable place to be, as good of a life as you could get in a tank, and yet his own room would be as bare as a cell. This decorated, bright and colourful space, against his own almost lifeless bedroom. It all comes back to *Drake* seeking that 'light' and 'colour' elsewhere. He found Gosalyn and Lp, so now, it's the little things that matter. (Kinda based off my other drawing)

Despite the differences and situations, they're both stuck in an environment not particularly made for them. A fish isn't meant for a bowl, and Drake, at least until he adjusted to his new life, wasn't made for being social. And yet, they adapt and grow and adjust to their new lives

I know this might be a bad take, I actually think she might have cut the blue wire. Thus symbolizing that she was going to move on even though it hurt. She and Jay were already going through a rough patch and season 3 made it worse.

Jay was feeling super insecure in his relationship and was suffering through some self esteem issues. Though Nya was going through stuff where she wanted to be defined more than just “the girl” of the group. Nya was far more emotionally mature than Jay, and she was already slipping away.

Nya cutting the blue wire symbolizes that she is ending that relationship, even though it pains her. She feels like she’s being crushed by the decision, thus by cutting the blue wire and leaving the black wire, she chooses a friendship with Cole, but cuts out a relationship with Jay.

The season after rebooted, it seemed like she became closer with Cole. For example, during season 5, she helped Cole after he became a ghost. She and Jay didn’t get many interactions after season 3. Tbh, the only serious interaction with some romantic motif was during season 4 when she sneaks in as a kabuki, but I could be wrong.

However, if the trash compactor can be repaired, then Nya and Jay’s relationship can as well. They both needed to mature a bit more in certain aspects before they started to date again. Jay needed to get over his insecurities and learn some empathy, while Nya needed time to make her role on the team clear and also to mature a bit as well.

While everyone is discussing dragon rising, I’m haunted by the thought of WHAT WIRE DID NIA CUT IN SEASON 3???

This question is so interesting to me.

Did she cut the black wire, showing that it was all over with Cole, or the blue one, choosing Jay????? Or maybe she cut both wires without making up her mind. Yes and "All's fair in love and war", isn't it??
