The HP films mucked up a lot of characterisation, but having McGonagall veer from very anxious to very excited about the Battle of Hogwarts was A+

Day 24: Favorite alteration from the books
I swear I just spent a good two hours trying to figure this one out, because the vast majority of the movies are true to the books, and the spots where they deviate are usually my lesser favorites. But I do love one super-epic part in HP7-2, where McGonagall uses the "Piertotem Locomotor" spell. And then we get epic music, all of the statues epically come to life, and they epically march out while McGonagall is giving them the pep talk of the century. And then, of course,
"I've always wanted to use that spell." ^_^
I'm pretty sure that's a deviation. I don't remember whether or not it was mentioned that the suits of armor fought in the battle, but I'm sure that in the book, it did not go into that level of detail with that scene.
