Uhh, this is probably gonna get long so I'm gonna put it under a cut now xD

Okay okay okay so like, remember in Ch 12 when AVA blurted out that Ash had a UTI?

Always thought it'd be funny if one of the AIs just like nonchalantly blurted it out.

"We are now approaching the Calabash nebula and Quinn, you're pregnant"

*Gary choking on coffee*

But after Ch 27, it looks like HUE does a better job than AVA of keeping private medical info private, BUT that he'd still really want her to tell. So he's a stinker about it.

"Oh my. Who could have predicted that unprotected sex could lead to this?"

While they're all at dinner-

"Are you sure you've eaten enough Quinn?"

"Yes, I'm FINE HUE, thank you :)"

But after Quinn keeping her sickness from Gary until she couldn't hide it any more, with this she wouldn't wait TOO long before telling him. Obviously, he's ecstatic, (or, swivels between ecstatic and anxiety-ridden, but still ecstatic.)

(Though, I kind of like the idea of Sheryl finding out, on accident, before Gary knows, and she's kind of like, "hey, I just want you to know, you DO have options, you don't have to do this if you don't want to, you know." And it's not from a place of like "I don't want you to have my grandkid" it's more like "I don't want you to feel like you're trapped in a situation you don't want". So she's kind of skeeved out at first, but later on she does appreciate that she would have been willing to help.)

The whole crew but especially Gary are just tripping over themselves to make sure she's safe and comfortable. And Gary keeps her up at night suggesting weird, dumb names xD

Normally she only likes an occasional cookie, but once she's pregnant she starts going cookie crazy. (In fact before Gary found out, he'd been a bit "????" by the fact that she was suddenly way more into cookies than normal.) Later on in her pregnancy she starts dunking cookies in pickle juice while Gary's soul weeps. "God you have no idea what you're missing!"

Occasionally Gary has to beg Avocato to go on late-night snack runs on her behalf.

"PLEASE man it's an EMERGENCY!"

"Cookies aren't an emergency!"

"YES THEY--Ugh, alright, fine, I'll just go."

"Great."

"......Hey Avocato? Remember that time I like, totally saved your life?"

"OKAY FINE I'M GOING"

I feel like Quinn would not want to let it interrupt her normal responsibilities, and tries to keep those up as normally as possible (despite Gary being a worried mess over her and insisting on doing things for her). But of course she's not really going into battle situations anymore and mostly stays on the ship, doing what she can from the bridge to help the crew.

Later in the pregnancy they make sure to always have at least one other person on the ship with her at all times, but of course the time she'd go into labor would be when the one extra person had to go tend to an emergency.

I like the idea of there not being anyone there to help her but Gary, who's completely losing his shit, and HUE walking him through things.

Or else, Quinn's alone and enemy minions have have stormed onto the ship. They were NOT expecting a hugely pregnant woman in PJs and fuzzy slippers to chase after them wielding a gun half her size.

Cut sideways, HUE has alerted the crew to the situation and they rush back to the ship.

When Gary gets back, the very terrified and very confused alien minions are on the floor with her, feeding her ice chips and telling her to breathe. After yelling at them to GTFO Gary gets down by her and is quietly like "hey soo, just making sure......this isn't like just to throw off the bad guys, right?"

*shakes her head while heavy breathing*

"O-okay wow, so then, this is actually happening now then?"

*nods*

"Okay WOW! Wow, oh my god!"

and HUE walks him through the rest of the way, and when the rest of the crew makes it back, they're just chilling there with the baby.

(The name I picked out like years ago was Joan, (after John, but like, a little bit different-y) but after S2, and Nightfall gave her life to let them have a chance, I thought it'd be sweet if they named her Dawn. Like, literally after Nightfall.)

7. Earbuds or headphones?

Headphones, but I usually find myself using earbuds because they’re smaller and easier to transport. And cheaper.

14. Favorite non-chocolate candy?

Marzipan. I love that more than any chocolate. I can literally buy one of those cans and eat it all in a day. Second favorite is candied ginger. I like most candy tbh. Candy stores are amazing. Saltwater taffy, Boston baked beans, jelly beans, fruit slices, licorice all sorts... I’m drooling.

17. Most frequently worn pair of shoes?

I actually only own one pair of shoes that I wear. They’re a pair of Merrel slip-ons. But I’m looking forward to buying some decent sandals/flip-flops for this summer!

73. Favorite weird flavor combo?

Peanut butter and pickles. Or curly fries and vanilla frozen yogurt. Ketchup on Doritos. I think all of those are classified as weird?

76. What’s your favorite potato food (i.e. tater tots, baked potatoes, fries, chips, etc.)?

Potato kugel. It’s shredded potato and carrot mixed with egg and matzo meal and then baked. It’s sooo yummy. Then it’d be potato latkes. Also very yummy. Followed by baked potatoes.

82. Pc or console?

Oh boy. I never had a console until I was 16, and didn’t have a PC that could play video games until I was 22, so I’m kinda neutral? What does the Gameboy count as? Gameboy and Nintendo DS. That one. Are those consoles? Idk.

96. Desktop background?
