Photos from my session at the world-famous Village Studios! What an awesome place to record. JC LeResche did an amazing job during a 12-hour session engineering 22 songs (live) and overdubs on 5 pre-existing tracks. I had the honor of being able to record on Oscar Peterson's Steinway & Sons Model B in the impressive Studio D – where Fleetwood Mac, BB King, T-Bone Burnett, Usher, and Sting have recorded (among many others) 🎹
The circle of fifths, amazing chart to learn and understand the working of the most common major and minor scales/chords and notes. They exist in relative pairs.Ex- C major scale is exactly the same as A minor scale with same notes and major/minor chords in them. Only difference is the root/first/starting note. Root note of C major scale is C (and root chord is C Major) whereas Root note of A minor scale is A (and root chord is A minor), both scales having no sharp/flat notes. Similar theroy for all other scales in the chart.Look at this chart as if it is a clock where C/Am=0(no sharp), G/Em=1 (1 sharp, i.e. F)....and so on.....Capital roman numbers(I, V, IV) =Major chordsSmall roman numbers(iii, vi, ii) =Minor chordsAnd..... vii° = Diminished chordNOTE: C is also called as Db, Cb is also called as B....and so on......... .. 🎹 From: @ceive_de 📸 Credit: #pianobook #pianosupehuman #pianoevoce #pianoengare #pianonobile #pianoquartet #pianoislife #pianomi2016 #pianoalimentare #pianotreat #pianotrio #pianocompositor #pianoimprovisation #pianoclassic #pianosteacher #pianoschool #pianofan #pianotiles #pianointhedesert #pianokaraoke #pianoperformance Reposted from @pianogurus (at San Antonio, Texas) https://www.instagram.com/p/CCeI-mNjvBc/?igshid=1jdsgvljvcwkf
