1/ Flat Party, St George's Tavern, 8 July 2023
I was seeing Tommy Lefroy, a duo I had just recently listened to, perform at Tufnell Park, and their opening act was Flat Party. I immediately liked their sound, and I noticed they didn't have a photographer. Flat Party mentioned they had a gig that Saturday, and after they performed, I was heading to the loo when I bumped into their lead singer. In an incredible act of courage that I wouldn't have normally had, I pitched myself and offered to photograph them that Saturday. After all, during that time I was on sick leave due to an injury from my full-time job and was expecting to be laid off soon because I was ill too often. The lads were all very nice and I thoroughly enjoyed their music as well as photographing them.

1/ Nottingham Malaysian Games 2022
Malaysians throughout UK send teams to participate in the annual Nottingham Malaysian Games, established since 1985. Some of the games include 5-a-side football, tennis, badminton and frisbee. There are other Malaysian Games organised in other places such as Sheffield, Warwick and Manchester, but Notts is the biggest. This was my first time attending these games. I photographed some of the football tournaments as my partner and one of my good friends participated in them. My partner got injured in his second game so I spent the rest of the event tending to him. However, I managed to photograph the semi-finals as my partner's good friends were in the competing team (the purple Milo Maestros) and he wanted to watch them. We didn't stay to watch the finals but they did win.

Photo
Perhaps my self-discovery is through self portraits and how I look like. Not (no longer) how I feel like or what I think about, because the latter is everything and the former is nothing.
On drawing a sketch of my back based on a picture I took myself, which shows how I assume my spine (that has scoliosis) to be like.
