Irish pianist Anthony Byrne at the Royal Irish Academy of Music, 2016 . A few years ago I used to meet Tony on my way to work while passing by the Italian cafe near Royal Irish Academy of Music. He would sit there, wearing his biker gear and smoking the pipe. . And I would do what I usually did those days - taking street portraits while walking to the school. So my first portrait of Tony actually was a street portrait. .
