Lincoln: A Photobiography

Part 1:

Russell Freedman . (1987) Clarion Books. New York.

Part 2: This book was about Lincoln's entire life. It contains drawings, letters, and other visual aids. It also displays his presidency and his contributions. My prediction for this book was accurate. This book showed many illustrations of the rise of the president, the Civil War, and the assassination.

Part 3:

Freedman's focus was on the life of Mr. Lincoln and the attempts to end slavery. This book discusses the aspect of war and how they shut down the South. This also shows the life of Lincoln from childhood to marriage, congress, and presidency.

Part 4:

A picture is worth a thousand words.

Students will discuss what they know about Lincoln.

Objective: Analyze the political cartoons and create a timeline.

What did Mr. Lincoln look like? Did he have unique features?

Students will create a timeline of events and focus on the presidency and civil war up to his death in 1865.

I have more to add to the iceberg! Its hypothesized that a sizeable chunk of recent ascomycota groups actually evolved from lichens that lost their symbiotic algae counterpart! So lichens are actually older than a not insignificant number of current fungi that we have today!
