TN Candies Part 4

As promised, a new candies post to get through the week! This time it’s much less shippy and a little more of a compilation of just some generally sweet moments between them, so I’ll forgo my disclaimers this time, but there are a few more deliberate points at the last section.

Nick’s Affection Towards Taylor

1, In the Cinemagna Interview that was shot during RWRB filming and released in August, a few days before the movie, Nick was asked about working with Taylor, and right as he started to comment on Taylor as a person (as opposed to just working with him), he smiles very sweetly

2, In numerous interviews and editorials when asked to comment on working with Taylor/about Taylor, Nick often brings up “funny”, which implied they talk to each other quite a lot.

3, In the Variety podcast interview, when asked about his chemistry read with Taylor, babygirl straight up giggles a bit before saying they knew immediately they were gonna mates

4, His impression of Taylor in the GQ quiz is actually spot on: “What’s Up, I’m Taylor Zakhar Perez”, spreading his arms, loves to surf, that’s really how Taylor is: Nick really does know Taylor

5, In the recent Hits Radio interview, the question was what is something about Taylor that the public doesn’t know; Nick proceeded to praise Taylor as a person, as opposed to sharing like one of Taylor’s quirks or commenting on working with Taylor: They have a personal connection.

6, Nick tends to be a little more hyper than usual when with Taylor, as seen most prominently in the UK VS US draw-off video

Book Signing War (this isn’t even necessarily candy it’s just a fun thing that’s going on)

1, During the Vogue World event last September, Taylor originally wasn’t gonna sign anything, but saw the books and signed them anyways, quite happily so.

2, Starting from his China trip, Taylor started drawing moustaches on Henry/Nick’s face, starting with the Firstprince PR photo. I don’t think he’s ever missed a chance since lmao

3, During Milan, Nick’s first public event since Taylor started this little war, he first refers to Henry and Alex as “I” and “Taylor”, then said he’s been hearing that Taylor’s been signing on his face, which implies Taylor pops up on his social media radar. Babygirl retaliates by signing over Alex’s face (not even Taylor, it’s book Alex, he really just sees firstprince as them)

4, When the book in 3 was given to Taylor and the fan explained what Nick did, he, with a ???? (like seriously I don’t know how to describe that fucking tone) voice said “Oh he noticed”, and it totally might be a lighting/angle thing but if you look closely at that video, it might seem like he started blushing a little after the fan mentioned Nick

5, During the M&G red carpet, Nick offered to sign a fan’s firstprince card before they could ask him, and immediately went “Taylor’s face is getting signed”

SAG-PGA-Spirit Award Weekend

1, (This one was exclusively observed by the Chinese fans so kind of tin hat, take it with a pinch of salt) When asked about working with Nick on the SAG carpet, Taylor’s immediate reaction is somehow exactly the same as Alex’s after “I think we should make love tonight”: “Oh”, enlarged pupils, quick successive blinks, the first sentence that follow is said with a slight frown (you get the implication, but truthfully imo it’s just that Alex and Taylor share the same shock reaction)

2, For the Spirit Awards, Taylor worn a RED suit with a WHITE undershirt to a BLUE carpet, and WORN A FUCKING PINKIE RING

3, A bit more on the Cartier Watch from part 1: Taylor wore it to the Spirit Award, and Nick wore it to the Vanity event a few days ago. Now here’s where what I read on Weibo and what I read here are in conflict, for simplicity’s sake this time I’ll just directly translate what’s on Weibo for now :

“Oh, I’m so touched. But I saw his stylist (Jason Bolden) tagged Cartier, could this be a partnership with the brand?”

“Taylor could have chosen to just wear the necklace or wear another Cartier watch from a different series, but he worn this one which matches with Nick’s, it has to be a deliberate choice”

“Nope! All the brand for his other accessories were tagged in his(Jason Bolden’s) post, he even tagged Cartier for the necklace, but not for the watch. “Also the celebrity themselves, the brand, and the stylist, all parties would deliberately wear different pieces from the same brand, especially for relatively less pricey watches like the Cartier Tank series (the watch in question). It could also be seen that the Kamala Harris book was not written by the Vice President herself, but was authored and illustrated by Jason Dudash and Michael Boles respectively. you and angie had been best friends for years, having met on the set of foxfire in 1996. you two were practically inseparable since then and were always there for each other on your quick rise to fame. you were always seen together on and off-screen.

you two had become an iconic hollywood friendship.

the word hurt like a ton of bricks and you so wished you could be more.

you'd feel a pang every time you'd see it on a magazine headline. it seemed as though the universe was rubbing it in that you had been in love with your best friend for over twenty years.

you'd never intended for it to get like this. first, it was her boyfriends, then marriage, and then kids. you just never seemed to get the chance to tell her. now it was too late for you, you thought.

your most recent project was the eternals, a marvel movie angelina was in, too. it had become highly anticipated by everyone, including the cast.

it was about a month away from the premiere and you were headed to angelina's house. jason bolden had offered to style both of you and you were going to finalize plans. on your way, you stopped at a grocery store to pick up candy for the kids. as you waited in line, you scanned over the gossip magazines. one caught your eye, the headline reading,

you rolled your eyes, browsing the subheading claiming that she was dating again. you knew it was bs immediately by the poor quality photo taken from a good distance away. it had obviously been misinterpreted, anyone with eyes and a brain cell could tell. nonetheless, the magazine still seemed to put you in a pissy mood, even if you hadn't quite noticed it.

when you walked through the door, you noticed angie sitting on the couch.

"i'm here," you greeted.

immediately, you were hounded by her children. you lifted the bags of candy above your head, hearing protests from her children, although they could probably reach the bags if they wanted to.

"woah, nice to see you, too," you taunted.

"guys," angie warned gently from the couch where she was looking over at you.

"thank you," you said before walking into her kitchen to place the bags down. as you walked, you heard a chorus of questions as her kids asked about the candy.

"did you bring reese's?" one called.

"did you bring sour patch kids?" another asked at the same time.

"is there any chocolate?" you heard as well.

"i've known every single one of you since you joined this family, i think i'd remember what candies you guys like," you said as you handed it out.

they all thanked you and you took a seat next to angelina on the couch.

"i never understood why you didn't have kids of your own," she stated, handing you a hot cup of coffee.

"i guess i just never met the right person," you muttered, the words hurting you to say. the right person was right in front of you.

"i thought you and-" she began.

"when's jason supposed to get here?" you cut her off, causing her to give you a look of confusion.

"he should be here in like ten minutes," she answered, hints of uncertainty still present in her voice.

you continued to talk, avoiding the topic of before. angelina was hoping your reaction was from lack of sleep or something, she hated to see you hurting.

when jason arrived, he began talking in his usual excited tone. usually, his enthusiastic energy would spread to you, but not today. you had zoned out twenty minutes into his arrival, your thoughts centred on the magazine headline and how you wished the gorgeous woman next to you was yours, how despite not wanting an overly public relationship, you wanted to be the one spotted on a date with her.

"y/n," angelina called for the third time, snapping you out of your thoughts.

"yeah?" you answered.

"we've finalized the plan, are you onboard?" jason asked.

"oh, um, yeah," you nodded.

"y/n, can we talk in private quickly," angelina asked.

"sure," you said, getting up and following her to a guest room somewhere nearby but not near enough others could hear your conversation.

"what's up with you today?" she asked after shutting the door.

"nothing," you shrugged.

"i've known you for twenty years, i know when you're lying to me," she said.

"seriously, it's nothing," you scoffed.

"does this have anything to do with the plan for the premiere, we can change that if you want," she said, trying her hardest to figure out what was wrong with you.

"no, the plan is fine," you answered.

"then what is it?" she asked, you could hear the concern in her voice.

"it was just a magazine," you muttered reluctantly.

"a magazine? what did it say?" she questioned, taking a seat on the bed next to you.

you moved back so you were sitting against the headboard, while she sat cross-legged in front of you.

"it's not important, it'll pass," you dismissed.

"it won't," she said firmly.

"it will," you replied.

"no," she said, her tone lighter this time.

"yes," you answered, a small smile forming on your face as you knew what was about to happen. it was something that had happened many times before.

you went back and forth, 'yes' and 'no' being the only words heard in the room. eventually, you both burst into giggles.

"so are you gonna tell me what was on the magazine that upset you so much?" she asked, still smiling.

"i can't. you'll laugh," you said, still laughing lightly.

"i won't," she laughed.

"it said you went out on a date with one of those shitty photos from a mile away," you confessed lightheartedly.

"and that upset you?" she said in a slightly mocking tone, moving to sit next to you.

"yes," you laughed.

now, you were shoulder to shoulder, and your faces were inches apart as you made eye contact.

"and why is that?" she whispered, moving her face closer to yours. you could feel her breath on your lips as she spoke gently and your heart seemed to get caught in your throat.

"do i really need to say it?" you whispered, your lips only centimetres apart.

"i'd like to hear you say it," she teased.

"i love you," you whispered.

finally, your lips connected in a heated but gentle kiss that had been put off for decades. you could feel her smile against your lips and you couldn't help but smile, too.

just as you were about to pull apart, the door abruptly opened.

"mom, we wanted to know if- woah," shiloh began.

you quickly separated and your cheeks began to heat up as you looked to the doorway where five out of six children and jason stood, not knowing how to react.

"yes!" you heard jason cheer from behind, "i've gotta go rethink this whole thing!"

"is this gonna be a thing, now?" maddox asked.

"yeah, i think so," angie confirmed happily.

"finally!" zahara cheered as the rest of the kids smiled wide before shutting the door and walking away.

"what were they gonna do?" you heard vivienne ask, her voice muffled.

"they were gonna have s-" knox began before being aggressively shushed by his older siblings.

angie let out a small laugh before turning to kiss you again, marking the beginning of your relationship.

the day of the premiere rolled around and everyone in the jolie-pitt household was ecstatic. you and angie decided you weren't going to hide your relationship while there but weren't going to totally confirm it either. you spent the entirety of the day getting ready; hair, makeup, nails, etc.

finally, the time to go came. you got in your respective cars and all through the drive, you were nervous, scared that you would be too obvious or not obvious enough.

you stepped out of the car and began to walk to where the interviewers were. the crowd began to cheer loudly and you stopped for a couple photos. at the noise, angelina turned around, smiling when she saw you.

you walked up next to her and kumail, greeting the interviewers. kumail continued to answer his question, giving you two a knowing look. angie leaned over to whisper something in your ear.

"you look gorgeous," she had said.

"so do you," you said back, sending her a loving smile which she returned.

she reached for your hand and intertwined your fingers as the interviewer began to direct some questions at you. as you spoke, she subtly played with your fingers while sending you loving glances every now and again. the same behaviour was followed on the red carpet, where you reunited with her children. as you walked down the carpet, she refused to let your hand go, not that you were complaining. when the premiere ended, you were sure that you'd sent enough signs for viewers to pick up on.

another day came where you'd be spending the day with angelina and her family. you followed your usual routine, heading to the store for candy. as you stood in line, you looked over at the magazines that had upset you just over two months ago. on the cover of one magazine was a photo of you and angelina at the premiere where she was looking over at you in a way that had never been caught on camera before. the headline read,

with a smile on your face, you picked up the magazine and put it in your basket to buy.

when you arrived at her house, you dropped all the candy on a kitchen counter. you grabbed the magazine and dropped it on angie's lap when you found her seated reading a book outside. she smiled, letting out a soft laugh before flipping through the pages to find a detailed article examining our behaviours.

"do you wanna?" she asked and you knew exactly what she was referring to.

"you think we should?" you asked.

she nodded, biting her lip to try and contain some of her excitement. you opened instagram, clicked on the plus and scrolled through the camera roll. you picked out your favourite photo of the two of you kissing, simply putting "❤️" as a caption before posting it for the world to see.
