Well, I love my Birkenstocks and On shoes. He has a few pieces from Sandro, and I have a top from there that I adore and got on sale. I also have a pair of pants from Gant, and a great jacket from Lacoste (+ currently waiting for another to be restocked in my size).

While scrolling on social media, I’ve seen many people think that the man in this photo is Taylor. It’s such a common occurrence that I felt like popping on here to say that it’s not him. It’s a popular photo on Pinterest, a quick image search on Google will show you it’s been circulating for years online, and there’s no actual source it’s Taylor.

You asked if I thought Lacoste made more sense for Taylor, rather than other underwear brands like Calvin Klein.

I think this partnership between Taylor and Lacoste made perfect sense, as unlike CK, Lacoste is primarily a sports brand and that aligns with Taylor’s passion for fitness and sports. Taylor and his team seem to make sure there’s a personal resonance with the brand ambassadorships he takes on. For example, prior to being announced as Merrell’s ambassador, he was a long time user of the brand and he’s really worn them in his daily life and activities.

Again, Taylor doesn’t strike me as someone who will tie themselves to a fashion house exclusively for fashion and red carpet looks. I always thought that if he would take on an ambassadorship/collaboration, it would be for accessories (jewelry/watches) or something sport/fitness related (right up his alley) - so this tracks.

Hi, thanks for the link. Gucci's tweet mentioned 4 men: Taylor, Colman Domingo, Kaytranada, and Lee Jung Jae - the only one labeled as a Gucci Global Ambassador. Their tweet did not imply or announce anything.

He's worn 3 consecutive Gucci fits to events now, so I won't be shocked if this leads to him being an ambassador, but I still don't think Taylor would tie himself exclusively to one brand. I think more than anything, it could result in a campaign for a season.

I think Taylor (and Jason) is just really good at building relationships with fashion houses and sometimes, their creative directors too.

Several houses have dressed him multiple times (and with custom fits too) and invited him to their events, and none these occassions have led to an exclusive partnership with Taylor.

Paris Fashion Week is next month. If he goes, he'll probably attend the LV show. I think Dior has a show too, I would love to see him go (still thinking about the Vogue World after party look), but I noticed that in every fashion week he attends, he only goes to one show.

Jason Bolden posted Taylor from the lv show this year, do you think that's a hint for the MET gala?

Hmm I don't know. Jason has always posted old photos & fits to his story randomly and they're mostly never really a clue to anything. He just shares his work.

However if a brand has invited him to the met, LV is one of my best guesses.

If Taylor is invited to the MET Gala, keeping in mind this year's theme, what designer would you like to see him wear?

This is a month late, so sorry!

For those who don't know, to get into the Met Gala, you need to be invited by a brand (not Anna Wintour). If Taylor was invited, I think it would be by a brand he has a strong, existing relationship with. My main guesses either Prada, Versace or LV. Could also be Givenchy, Thom Browne or Balenciaga.

This year's theme is "The Garden of Time." Asides from the obvious florals, I would love to see some designs that are maybe dystopian-esque or referring to time.

For designers I'd like to see him wear in general, I answered this in a previous ask, and if he shows up wearing any of them, I'd be delighted.

I actually archived this post and turned comments off for a while because I was overwhelmed by the attention it was getting. It's reached 140k+ accounts! It's wild, everyone was thirsty

The second is also swimwear, which I just unarchived right now.

The event fit with the most likes at the moment is the Dior look for the Vogue World after party. I was also shocked by the amount of attention his moon necklace got.
