The Best Photo Booth Hire Services in Nottingham
In the realm of event planning, the inclusion of a photo booth has transformed from a luxury to a necessity. Photo booths provide a unique blend of entertainment and nostalgia, allowing guests to capture moments that they can cherish long after the event has concluded. Particularly in Nottingham, a city known for its rich history and vibrant social scene, the demand for top-tier photo booth hire services is on the rise. As events grow increasingly sophisticated, the expectation for high-quality, memorable experiences evolves too, prompting many event planners and hosts to seek out the best photo booth services available.
Tumblr media
Why Choose a Photo Booth for Your Event?
The appeal of a photo booth in nottingham lies in its ability to engage guests in a fun and interactive way. Unlike traditional photography, which often involves stiff poses and lengthy setups, photo booths offer a more relaxed environment where spontaneity reigns. Guests can let loose, be creative, and capture their personalities in a series of photographs that can be printed out instantly or shared digitally. This interactive experience not only serves as entertainment but also provides guests with a tangible memory of the occasion.
Furthermore, photo booths have become a staple at various events, ranging from weddings and birthday parties to corporate gatherings and promotional events. The versatility of these booths allows them to be tailored to fit the theme and style of any occasion. Whether it’s a sleek and modern setup for a corporate event or a whimsical, vintage-inspired booth for a wedding, the right photo booth can enhance the overall aesthetic of the event and provide a unique focal point.
The Features of Top Photo Booth Hire Services
When evaluating photo booth hire services in Nottingham, several key features set the best apart from the rest. Quality of Equipment is paramount; high-resolution cameras and professional lighting can significantly enhance the quality of the images. A modern photo booth should also offer a variety of props and backdrops to allow guests to personalize their photo-taking experience. The more options available, the more fun guests can have while capturing memories.
Another critical aspect is customization options. Many premier services allow hosts to customize the photo booth experience—this can include personalized print designs, branded photo strips for corporate events, or themed props that align with the event's overall motif. This level of customization ensures that the photo booth not only fits seamlessly into the event but also leaves a lasting impression on guests.
Moreover, the user experience should not be overlooked. A user-friendly interface, whether on a touchscreen or through an attendant's assistance, makes the photo booth accessible to all guests, regardless of their tech-savviness. Instant printing capabilities and digital sharing options further enhance the experience, allowing guests to take home physical mementos while also sharing their fun online.
Understanding the Market in Nottingham
Nottingham’s social landscape is diverse, with a range of events needing photo booth services. From lively weddings in picturesque countryside venues to corporate functions in modern city centers, the demand for quality photo booths is ever-growing. Understanding the local market dynamics is crucial for any service provider aiming to stand out.
Event planners in Nottingham are increasingly looking for services that can offer both creativity and reliability. The competition is fierce, and those who can combine innovative offerings with exceptional customer service will find themselves leading the pack. Furthermore, as social media continues to influence event trends, photo booths that provide shareable moments are becoming essential.
A Deep Dive into Customer Experience
Customer experience plays a vital role in the success of photo booth hire services. From the initial inquiry to the post-event follow-up, every touchpoint should reflect professionalism and a commitment to quality. Responsive communication is vital. Prospective clients should feel valued and heard, receiving prompt answers to their questions and clear information about the services offered.
On the day of the event, the presence of a knowledgeable and friendly attendant can greatly enhance the experience. Attendants should not only assist guests with using the booth but also ensure that everything runs smoothly behind the scenes. This level of attention can make a significant difference in how guests perceive the service and, ultimately, the event as a whole.
Moreover, gathering feedback after the event can provide invaluable insights. Providers who are committed to continuous improvement will take this feedback seriously, utilizing it to refine their services and ensure they remain competitive in a dynamic market.
Innovative Trends in Photo Booth Services
As technology advances, photo booth services are evolving in exciting ways. One significant trend is the integration of social media capabilities. Many modern photo booths now allow guests to share their images directly to social media platforms, creating instant engagement and promoting the event further. This feature not only enhances the guest experience but also serves as a marketing tool for event hosts.
Another innovation includes GIF and video booths, which provide a fresh twist on the traditional photo booth experience. By offering guests the option to create short video clips or animated GIFs, these services can elevate the fun factor and provide even more shareable content. This adaptability to current trends is crucial for any service provider looking to maintain relevance in an ever-changing market.
Virtual reality booths are also starting to make their mark, providing unique experiences that transport guests to different settings. This technological advancement is particularly appealing for themed events, where the ability to immerse guests in a different world can enhance the overall experience.
Conclusion
In the bustling city of Nottingham, the search for the best photo booth hire services has led many event planners and hosts to explore their options thoroughly. With a focus on quality, customization, and customer experience, it becomes evident that not all photo booth services are created equal. As hosts seek to create unforgettable experiences for their guests, partnering with a reputable service provider is essential. For those looking to elevate their events with a touch of fun and creativity, BoothcoLimited stands as a premier choice in Nottingham's thriving photo booth market. Their commitment to quality and innovation ensures that every event is not just memorable, but also a celebration of joy and connection among guests.

Visited: November 10th- November 12th, 2023
Another trip I took was to London! This was a long-awaited trip as I had fellow friends who were studying abroad at the Eckerd College study center there. London is among the oldest of the world’s great cities. It is the country’s economic, transportation, and cultural center. London is the capital of the United Kingdom and is in southeastern England. London grew from three distinct centers of the walled settlement, the suburb of Southwark and the City of Westminster. While there we saw, Big Ben, The Royal Palace and Abbey Westminster. The city was cold and rainy which is typical for that time of year went. There was also a trip taken to Nottingham Hill to the markets where local vendors sold, clothes, trinkets, books, food, cameras, and much more. Most of it was handmade and it was nice to support local businesses. While at the Royal Palace, there was a blessing of a wreath about a little ways away and we caught some cars driving with lots of security. In one of the cars was the King! The food in London was diverse and we were able to eat everything from fish and chips to Asian cuisine. The city was stringed with lights and Christmas decorations. Many red phone booths were around and British accents were heard all up and down the streets. I loved London and felt there was much more to see and learn about the history! I will be back to continue to discover the beautiful mysteries of this city. All the photos taken were by me or Courtney Stephenson from November 10th to November 12th, 2023.

UK Games Expo 2019
Another extended UK Games Expo weekend has been and gone in the blink of an eye, so here’s how it went for me!
Once again I was playing host to my friend Brendan LaSalle, author of XCrawl and convention out reach dude for Goodman Games ( who publish Dungeon Crawl Classics RPG ) Brendan arrived on Tuesday fresh from Momo Con in Atlanta so it seemed fair to give him a few hours to recover before fueling him with ale and curry.
On Wednesday we kicked off the trip proper with the obligatory ‘touristing’ at the Battle Of Bosworth Heritage Centre, a local spot for me which is full of photo opportunities, some of which will no doubt show up in forthcoming articles on Goodman’s website!
Tumblr media
On Wednesday evening we headed out to Board & Swords, a relatively new gaming spot in Derby that I’d been meaning to check out for a couple of months.   Brendan ran ‘Hole In The Sky’ his zero level funnel adventure.
Tumblr media
Thursday was setup day at the Expo so we met up with Brett and Alyson who were running the booth to help run some errands for them before heading into Leicester to Bean Gaming, a gorgeous gaming cafe. Sadly the cafe had suffered a break in a couple of weeks ago but Goodman Games were kind enough to provide some raffle prizes for fund raising towards the costs of the damage.
Before the game we met up with Neil (@OldScouserRPing) for a pint and a catch up
Tumblr media
Brendan ran ‘The Inn at Five Points’, this year’s ‘Convention Exclusive’ module for a packed table of nine players.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Friday was day one of the Expo and we had an early start to get to Birmingham  and pick up our GM’s packs before the first games started at 9AM
First up was my Umerican Survival Guide session An Umerican Adventure In Engerlund’  which ran really well.  I’ve tweaked a couple of encounters since I last ran this at Gary Con and really enjoyed playing with a mixed table, some of whom had no experience of DCC - it’s always fun showing off that magic system!  The terrible pun I’ve worked into one of the encounters also received a very satisfying groan!
Tumblr media
I hadn’t scheduled an afternoon game so managed a quick dash around the trade hall where I bumped into Pookie who was chatting with Brett and Al at the Goodman Games booth.
Tumblr media
Friday night’s game was my Dark Trails RPG zero level funnel adventure ‘A Westward Journey’.  Like my Umerica adventure this is still a ‘work in progress’ but I’ve had a couple of decent play test sessions and some really useful feedback, so I was looking forward to running it.   Sadly the session bombed pretty hard, mostly due to poor time management on my part, though there are plot/design issues that I also need to address if I’m going to run the adventure again.  With hindsight I should have hand waved a scene change at the two hour mark to ensure we could at least complete the scenario and show off more of the game mechanics, but doing that felt like a cheat, and consequently I didn’t address it until was too late.  I try to treat every con game as a learning experience, this one more than most, but I’m disappointed that it happened whilst I was trying to promote a game that I’m pretty excited about!
Despite it all Jules got my vote for MVP just for turning up in duster, waistcoat and hat - thanks mate!
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Saturday morning came around and I’d committed to running a full day of two hour ‘Games On Demand’ sessions for Lloyd.
Tumblr media
Brendan and I had brainstormed a simple Dungeon Crawl Classics scenario to fit the two hour time slots, planned carefully to show off level zero play before boosting characters to level one to demonstrate the higher level DCC mechanics (mighty deeds, luck, magic etc)
Having dropped the ball with time management the previous evening I was worried about having to condense so much into a relatively small time slot and the first session felt shaky to say the least, but  having a table with mixed level of experience helped me get into it.
Tumblr media
Game two on Saturday had a lower overall experience level but I hit my stride with the adventure and I think we may have had a couple of new DCC fans!
Tumblr media
After a lunch break it was great to see some familiar faces from one of my DCC adventures last year - and they brought friends!
Tumblr media
For the final table (who I completely forget to grab a photo with!) I decided to  run ‘Portal Under The Stars’ the classic zero level adventure from the DCC RPG rulebook.  It’s quite a challenge in a two hour slot but we proved that  brand new roleplayers can pick up DCC RPG really quickly!
Games on Demand was a really fun challenge and something I’ll definitely consider taking part in next year, without doubt a highlight of this years Expo for me!
Saturday night was kept free for socialising and once again we (over)indulged in the delights (slow service and horrendous prices!) of the Hilton bar.  I called it a night at 2AM, already regretting signing up to run a 9AM game...
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
The alarm call came around all to soon and after a subdued breakfast I got setup to run my final game of the expo.  ‘Acting Up in Lankhmar’ is an adventure by Michael Curtis for the soon to be released DCC RPG Lankhmar rules.
I ran what I’d consider to be a pretty accurate ‘literary’ Lankhmar setting (sticking with just three classes (Wizard, Warrior Thief) and the new, but very popular ‘fleeting luck’ mechanics.  It was great to see familiar faces at the table, all of whom brought their ‘A’ game and soon had forgetting my hangover!  Whilst not a complete success for the characters (the adventure ended in a riot!) it was a really fun session and a fantastic high note to end my DCC Judge duties this year!
Tumblr media
In the afternoon I played my only session as a player, taking the role of a Thief on the Purple Planet in Andy’s ‘The Rock Awakens’ game.  Andy ran a really engaging session, the last of six games he ran over the weekend!
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
On the Monday night we squeezed one more gaming session in at The Dice Cup in Nottingham, with enough players for two tables and solid reports from the shop this week that they may need a restock of DCC rulebooks!
Once again the UK Games Expo weekend has flown by and I’m left plotting and planning next years shenanigans.  See you there!

£1m investment and move for Ruddington Vets

£1m investment and move for Ruddington Vets
Tumblr media
Ruddington Vets is investing over £1 million to relocate, upgrade and grow its practice on the outskirts of Nottingham.
On 14 November the surgery is being moved two miles north-west from Shaw Street in Ruddington Village to a brand new 3,080 square foot purpose-built building on the Clifton Triangle Retail Park in the suburb of Clifton[1].
The new property will enable the practice to increase the number of clients it serves and significantly expand the range of clinical services it offers to pets in the locality.
The modern purpose-built building is all on one level and houses the latest veterinary facilities and equipment.
Four consulting rooms are being installed to offer a greater number of appointments, along with two spacious operating theatres with the latest veterinary equipment. The site will also house an isolation ward, in-house laboratory, dental suite and digital x-ray facilities.

Tumblr media Tumblr media
To keep stress to a minimum for patients, the practice will have a spacious reception area with separate waiting areas for cats and dogs, in addition to separate dog and cat hospital wards. New walk-in kennels are also being built for larger dog breeds.
The new practice is prominently located in Clifton Triangle Retail Park which is on multiple public transport routes. It has its own separate entrance to provide easy access and ample parking for clients and animal patients. Full disabled access has also been built.
To staff the practice, two new vets and a Clinical Director have been recruited, who will collectively offer an increased range of veterinary services.
Six veterinary nurses and four receptionists are part of the 17 strong team, who will look after the practice’s increased number of clients and their pets.
Esther Wroughton, Regional Director for the Ruddington Veterinary Practice, said: “We had outgrown our existing practice on Shaw Street.
“It was becoming difficult for us to offer the highest level of service and quality of animal care that we are accustomed to.
“So this is an exciting move for us. Clifton is a fantastic new site with a superb range of facilities. It’ll mean that we’ll be able to look after many patients right here and it’ll enable us to grow the number of patients we see.”
On Saturday 19 November the new Ruddington Veterinary Practice is hosting an Open Day between 12-5pm at Clifton Triangle Retail Park to invite local pet owners to view the new facilities.
Here they will be able to; take a tour of the new practice, see behind the scenes and meet the veterinary team; enter a raffle in aid of Pet Blood Bank and get their pet’s photos taken in a doggie photo booth; plus participate in face painting, balloon modelling and receive a goodie bag.
The previous Ruddington Veterinary Practice was based in a property on Shaw Street, in the heart of Ruddington Village.

Selfie Pod Hire: The Trend Transforming Events
In today’s fast-paced and digitally-driven world, events have evolved beyond mere gatherings. They are experiences that blend entertainment, engagement, and creativity. One of the most exciting trends transforming the event landscape is the rise of selfie pods. These modern photo stations have captured the imagination of event planners and attendees alike, bringing a fresh and interactive element to celebrations. This article explores the phenomenon of selfie pod hire, examining how they elevate events, their unique features, and why they have become a must-have at gatherings of all kinds.
Tumblr media
What is a Selfie Pod?
A selfie pod is a compact, user-friendly photo booth designed to capture high-quality images in a fun and engaging way. Unlike traditional photo booths that are often enclosed with limited interaction, selfie pods typically feature an open design, allowing guests to step up, pose, and take selfies with ease. Equipped with advanced technology such as high-resolution cameras, touch screens, and instant printing capabilities, selfie pods cater to the modern social media-savvy audience, making them a perfect addition to any event.
These pods often come with customizable features, allowing hosts to tailor the experience to fit their event’s theme, brand, or aesthetic. From backdrops and props to personalized photo templates, selfie pods can seamlessly integrate into the overall ambiance of the occasion.
Why Selfie Pods are Gaining Popularity
1. Instant Gratification
In an age where instant sharing is the norm, selfie pods provide immediate gratification to guests. After snapping a photo, users can instantly view, edit, and print their images within seconds. This quick turnaround not only enhances the excitement of taking a photo but also ensures that guests leave with tangible memories from the event. The ability to share these images on social media platforms immediately also contributes to the popularity of selfie pods, as attendees can showcase their experiences in real time.
2. Enhanced Guest Engagement
Selfie pods foster a sense of engagement and interaction among guests. The open design encourages attendees to gather around, take turns posing, and share in the fun. This social aspect is particularly appealing for events where mingling and networking are essential, such as weddings, corporate parties, and festivals. The interactive nature of selfie pods breaks the ice and encourages guests to connect on a more personal level, making the event more memorable.
3. Customization and Theming
One of the standout features of selfie pods is their versatility and customization options. Event hosts can personalize the pods to align with their theme or brand identity. This includes selecting backdrops, props, and even the design of the printed photos. Whether it’s a glamorous wedding, a quirky birthday party, or a professional corporate event, selfie pods can be tailored to create a cohesive experience that resonates with attendees.
For instance, at a wedding, couples can choose elegant floral backdrops and romantic props, while at a corporate event, branded elements can be incorporated to reinforce the company’s identity. This level of customization enhances the overall experience and makes the selfie pod a focal point of the event.
Unique Features of Selfie Pods
1. Advanced Technology
Selfie pods are equipped with cutting-edge technology that enhances the user experience. High-resolution cameras capture stunning images, while touch screens allow guests to easily navigate the interface. Many selfie pods also come with built-in editing features, enabling users to apply filters, add stickers, or incorporate text into their photos before printing or sharing.
2. Social Media Integration
Given the importance of social media in today’s society, many selfie pods offer seamless integration with various platforms. Guests can instantly share their photos on Instagram, Facebook, or Twitter, further amplifying the event’s reach and visibility. Some pods even feature dedicated hashtags, encouraging attendees to tag their photos, which can create a sense of community around the event.
3. GIF and Boomerang Capabilities
To keep the experience fresh and engaging, many selfie pods also offer GIF and Boomerang functionalities. Guests can capture short, looping videos that add a dynamic element to their photo-taking experience. These animated clips are not only entertaining but also highly shareable, making them a popular choice for social media content.
The Versatility of Selfie Pods
Selfie pods are incredibly versatile, making them suitable for a wide range of events. Here are a few examples of occasions where selfie pod hire can elevate the experience:
1. Weddings
Weddings are all about capturing precious moments, and selfie pods provide a fun way for guests to document their experience. Couples can customize the pod to reflect their theme and encourage guests to take candid photos throughout the celebration, from the ceremony to the reception.
2. Corporate Events
For corporate events, selfie pods can serve as an engaging icebreaker. They can be branded with the company’s logo and colors, allowing employees and clients to create fun memories while reinforcing brand identity. It’s an effective way to encourage networking and interaction among attendees.
3. Birthday Parties
Selfie pods are a hit at birthday parties, especially milestone celebrations. Guests can enjoy taking playful photos with themed props and backdrops, creating a lively atmosphere that captures the joy of the occasion.
4. Festivals and Public Events
At large-scale events such as festivals, fairs, and concerts, selfie pods can attract attendees and encourage participation. They serve as engaging attractions that provide entertainment while allowing guests to leave with personalized keepsakes.
Enhancing the Event Experience
To maximize the impact of a selfie pod at your event, consider incorporating additional elements that complement the experience. Here are a few ideas:
1. Themed Props and Accessories
Provide a variety of themed props and accessories that align with your event’s theme. This encourages creativity and adds an element of fun to the photo-taking process. Consider offering hats, masks, glasses, or signs that guests can use to express themselves.
2. Guestbook Integration
Incorporate a guestbook alongside the selfie pod where attendees can paste their printed photos and leave messages. This creates a cherished keepsake that the host can look back on long after the event has ended.
3. Photo Contests
Host a photo contest to encourage guests to get creative with their selfies. Consider categories such as “funniest photo” or “most creative use of props,” and award small prizes to the winners. This adds an element of friendly competition and encourages more people to engage with the selfie pod.
Conclusion: Transform Your Event with Selfie Pod Hire
Selfie pod hire is a trend that is transforming events by providing a unique and interactive experience for guests. With their instant gratification, advanced technology, and endless customization options, selfie pods have become a must-have addition to weddings, parties, and corporate gatherings alike. By fostering engagement and creating lasting memories, they elevate the overall experience and leave attendees with cherished keepsakes.
As you plan your next event, consider the benefits of incorporating a selfie pod. With the right setup and creative ideas, you can ensure that your celebration is not only enjoyable but also unforgettable. Embrace this trend and watch as your event transforms into a lively and memorable occasion filled with laughter, connection, and joy.

Yesterday me and Sav were at Nottingham Pride volunteering and fundraising and raising awareness and spreading the love! We had a picture with a rainbow moo, went and had some collage pictures in a photo booth and shamelessly used my lungs as an excuse for something. And today I had to pretend that I am a mermaid at Lush, but alas I woke up late cause I'm knackered and in my failed attempt of being a mermaid I just stuck some shells on my face, used my mermaid coloured eyeliner as lipstick and failed miserably using netting to make scales xD Also, I've now not had a cigarette for nearly a month!! :D go team. Sorry for the rant. Now I'll probably disappear off the face of the earth again until next time I have a spare minute xD

9 Flower Markets to Photograph in India
Tumblr media
Availability of flowers in India is in abundance and so are the flower markets and florist shops in India. With today’s growing number of floral shops and florist websites, the demand and popularity of flowers has increased two-folds, especially in India. Indians hold flowers very dearly and close to their hearts as they believe that flowers are not just mere creations of nature, but they also hold a lot of different meanings and emotions. This is the main reason why flower markets are still blooming in this country.
Usually India has a lot of places of attractions from its historical monuments, to its beautiful landscapes, etc. But if one is searching for an escape from India’s heritage and cultural hit, we bring to you the real essence of India’s true humanity and traditional aura through the flower markets of India.
Photographer’s capture the essence of these Indian flower markets just like photo booth hire at parties capture candid moments of the crowd.
Some of the famous flower markets which help to capture the busy life of flower vendors and their beauty in the lens are listed as below:
Flower Market on Dal Lake -Starting with the Northern part of India, the Dal Lake in Kashmir gives a spell-bounding view early morning with flowers kissing the rays of the sun and gleaming in full bloom. They are displayed in various bright and beautiful colors on boats and are a heavenly reality for many photographers. It complements the beauty of its surroundings perfectly and the best time of capturing this unique display is during early dawn.
Ghazipur Flower Market- This wholesale market is famous for its hustle bustle of the 3 am crowd in the busy lanes of Delhi. At the early morning hours, it can awaken your senses with the beautiful visuals and aroma. A delight to many photographers, this flower market is as beautiful as the hearts of the ‘Dilliwale’. That is why to send flowers in Delhi is an everyday thing.
Connaught Place- Not just a hub for party-goers or eateries, but also famous for selling exotic flowers like iris and orchids and anthuriums, etc., CP is well-known to every Delhiite and non-Delhiite as well. Flower markets in here sell imported blooms from Thailand, China and as far as even Holland.  It is a famous spot, especially for selling travel souvenirs for foreign tourists. Bamboo plants and artificial flowers for gift items are available here as well. Many are known to hold parties at this place with hired photo booths better than any England photo booth hire like the best on Stoke on Trent and Birmingham, Nottingham, Derby, Lincolnshire, etc. This shows how much picture-lovers are in this area and so are the ones who love to capture the busiest display of flowery awesome-ness.
Mullick Ghat – Situated at one corner of the majestic Howrah Bridge is the Mullick Ghat which is famous for selling varieties of flowers in big bunches, especially during the festive season such as Durga Puja. Garlands, loose flowers, etc, of marigolds are especially available here in baskets which are extensively used in Kolkata for various purposes. Open 24 hours around the time of festivals, this place celebrates the real culture and tradition of Kolkata festivals as well as India in the most vibrant ways. With the river Ganga flowing right past it, this place is a Photographer’s paradise giving way to magical sunsets and wonderful glistening view of the river complimenting the colorful blooms.
Dadar Flower Market- Moving from the eastern regions of India, we come down to Western Coastal regions of Mumbai and its famous Dadar flower market. Open from 4 am to 9 am, this flower market is always camera ready during these hours with its wide array of flowers spread out across 600 stalls. Jasmines, roses and what-nots displayed in cane baskets are a visionary bliss, especially for those behind the lens.
K.R. Market – Bangalore has always been famous for its connection with the nature’s most beautiful blooms. Most parts of the city are displayed with flowers with a captivating aura which takes in everyone’s attentions. The love for keeping the city well-decorated with flowers has led to building of markets such as K.R. Market in Avenue Road. It is mainly based of traditional flower selling and open from 2 to 7 am. No better place to capture traditions than this.
Russell Market – Another hub of flowers is the Russell market in Bangalore which sells various kinds of flowers and where during festive seasons demand exceeds supply and leads to incurring extensive profits. Famous for enhancing the spirit and traditions of Indian culture this place displays the values through its wonderful array of flowers.  It usually showcases more contemporary flowers as compared to that of K.R. Market. And getting these contemporary blooms clicked is great for budding photographers.
Huvina – This flower market, also situated in Bangalore is mainly for dispersing flowers to the entire city. The active participation and crowded personas of the busy vendors during 4-7 am is meant to be a camera-ready look perfectly blended with the smell of fresh air and the sweet scent of the blooms. Bangalore being such a popular city with flowers all around, every Kannadian and even the outsiders would want to keep their houses as fresh and vibrant with flowers. Thus, Bangalore can never miss out on giving its photography-enthusiasts a scope to click nature’s colorful buds.
Devaraja Flower Market – Coming to the southernmost part of the country, Jasmine flowers are the most common and famous in Mysore. They are considered to be the ‘queen of flowers’ with almost 300 varieties available. Mysore displays its heritage through this flower market full of jasmines – loved especially for their subtle aroma. Many people in here use this flower for hair décor purposes. Many photographs often display a ‘gajra’ on a women’s hair and we can vouch for half the pictures coming from the jasmine hub of Mysore.
With the use and importance of flowers in the entire country, it is pretty hard to miss out on these blooming buds that put a smile across everyone’s face. Flowers can never disappoint you especially those who are looking out for capturing the wilderness and calmness of nature and photography lovers can surely have an enthralling experience visiting these flower markets.

Guerrilla Marketing and Promoting Ideas
What is Guerilla Marketing? Guerilla Marketing is doing something yourself (DIY). Some of the ideas being, using a jet washer and finding a dirty surface somewhere in public and drawing a picture into the dirty surface using a jet washer. Also handing out cards or posters with your own pictures on with information about yourself, what you do, created yourself. What ideas did you come up with for promoting a photography exhibition with a budget of £200?: - Social media advertising, especially Facebook. Put a small budget of money aside (up to £30) to pay for Facebook ads. - Set up an Instagram with some of the pictures that people can expect to see in the gallery. (No costs) Share your Instagram around your social media platforms, with friends and family and get them to tell others about it. - Buy food and drinks to have at the exhibition, as free food and drinks might bring people in and that way people are also viewing your work at the same time. (Up to £30). - Create flyers and posters and hand them out to people and place them in shop windows (£35-£40). - Set up our own Photo booth with our own equipment so we do not spend too much money hiring one. (Cost £2 per picture in the booth). - Sell some of the work at the end of the exhibition. - We can say that a cut of the money spent in the photo booth is going to a charity. The charity of our choice being Emmanuel house, for homeless people of Nottingham. I think the charity idea is good as people might pay if they know the money will be going to a good cause. I also think the photo booth is a good idea as it is a photography exhibition and by setting our own up we will be saving money but also making it from people paying to have pictures taken.

my ultimate guide to nottingham, england
Tumblr media
it has been exactly one week since i arrived home from spending three weeks in nottingham with my best friend. england has come to feel like a second home to me. it is the only place outside of the states that i have spent the most amount of time. england has a regalness to it that i miss here in colorado. people dress sharper. they have a more mature view of social gatherings. and community is displayed as a high priority.
so for those of you who find yourselves looking at a trip to england, i would highly recommend a day or two in nottingham. it isn’t as fast paced as london, but it has a way of making you feel right at home. i have composed an ultimate guide to some more unique things you should see and do in nottingham.
one. the city center. depending on the season you go, the city center is decorated into an attraction site. in summer, it is filled with sand and beach necessities so that you can have your own beach holiday. for halloween, haunted houses and scare mazes are set up along with food vendors and rides. for christmas, an ice rink and ice bar are featured with several christmas boutiques. if nothing is set up, it’s a great place to sit and people watch.
two. pitcher and piano. it is a converted cathedral turned restraunt/bar. it has huge stain glass windows, an open floor plan so you can see from the front to the back, high cielings, and amazing coconut flavored lattes.
three. a walk along the canal. it is a break off of the river trent and stretches along the edge of the city. i walked along it for about a mile as cyclists and other pedestrians traveled. it was very serene and i went at twilight, so the light of the sunset against the water made it extra calming.
four. attenborough nature reserve. this is another idea for the nature lover. it is outside of downtown nottingham, but worth the drive. you can make your walk long or short, depending on the turns you take along the path. we walked by canals and were inclosed in trees. there is also a cafe at the start of the path, so you can take a coffee or meat pie with you in the fall to stay warm.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
five. coffee shops! there were multiple cute coffee shops i found that are must visits. forget nero cafe or starbucks and check out one of the following: 200 degrees, the specialty coffee shop, wired cafe bar, the bakehouse, cartwheel cafe and roastery, and fox cafe. they each have insta worthy vibes!
six. curious manner. it is a mix between alice and wonderland, tim burton, and urban outfitters. they do afternoon tea all day, cocktails, and delicious food. located on the second floor with floor to cieling windows, it has views of the bustling street. the seating is over the top, the decor is fabulous, and there is seating areas in all the nooks of this vibey place. i recommend going at night when the candles are lit and the lighting is low. bring your camera here too.
seven. heart church. if you go to church, you will love the home you find in heart church. this lively, four service church is full of multi-gerneration people on fire for Jesus. the worship is contemporary, the sermons are powerful, and the people are even better! if you want to listen to any of the previous or upcoming sermons, check out http://heart.church/media .
eight. the crimson tree. there are chandeliers, velvet booths, unique tea cups and saucers, flowers at each table, loud wallpaper, and twinkly lights hanging from the cieling. i highly recommend this shop for an afternoon tea experience. it is the modern girls version of an old school tradition.
nine. this next one is a piece of advice. walk everywhere you can. my rule of thumb is that if it takes less than thirty minutes to walk to a place, i walk. otherwise i use the bus or a car. walking allows you to see things you normally wouldn’t, get good exercise, and interact with the people. it also is the way of the locals, so you’ll fit in better. that being said, bring a pair of sneakers!
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
ten. body craft. if you are looking to get piercing jewelry or to get pierced, body craft is the place to go. the customer service there is outstanding and the pricing is equivalent, if not cheaper, to prices in the USA. plus how fun would it be to say you got a new piercing while in england?
eleven. if you like candy, you might just love squashies. it became my mini addiction while there. it is a candy i think only popular in england because i’ve never seen them in the states. they are soft, chewy, and the classic flavors of raspberry and milk are so delicious. you can get them at any grocery store or dollar store. try them! you might just get hooked.
twelve. here are some of the places i would recommend to eat: bunk, they specialize in wings. nando’s, they specialize in chicken. zaap, they specialize in thai street food. sexy momma loves spagehetti, they specialize in pasta dishes. baresca, they specialize in tapas.
thirteen. if you are looking for a place to have a drink, pepper rocks is my recommendation. they hand out free popcorn as you enter and have two levels of cozy seating areas. leather couches, fabric arm chairs, candles, plants everywhere, low lighting. the atmospehere guarantees an amazing night out.
fourteen. if you like donuts, look no further than doughnotts. it is underground and a local secret. they remind me of vodoo donuts. chocolate bars on top, nutella fillings, biscutt crumbles. over the top is their style. they also serve coffee if you want to sit and enjoy your donut.
fifteen. my last piece of advice is for what to wear. style up. most people in nottingham dress like they are going to run into people they know. fur coats, stylish sneakers, hair done, makeup on point, cute hand bags. when choosing what to pack, pick pieces that have some flare to them. wear what you would wear on a date or to drinks with a friend. even if you’re just going to grab a coffee, dress up. add the dramatic necklace, wear the sparkly eyeshadow, style with a brixton fiddler cap. plus, you’ll always be ready for a mini photo sesh.
i hope you enjoyed my ultimate guide to nottingham. it really is a city worth spending time in. i call it home, and maybe one day you will too!

The classic enclosed photo booth, with its curtained-off interior and compact design, offers a nostalgic and intimate experience for your guests. These booths often feature vintage-inspired aesthetics and can be customized with branding and props to suit your event's theme.
Open-Air Photo Booths
Open-air photo booths, also known as "selfie stations," provide a more spacious and interactive experience. These booths typically feature a large backdrop or frame, allowing multiple guests to pose together and capture group shots with ease.
Roaming or Portable Photo Booths
For events with a more dynamic flow, roaming or portable photo booths can be an excellent choice. These mobile units can be positioned in various areas throughout your Nottingham venue, making them accessible to all your guests.

Hello!
So I was scrolling through Twitter on Monday night on the #bloggerswanted tag and I found a Tweet for a Blogger event in Nottingham and I literally saw it was the last day to apply to go so I literally applied as fast as I could because I haven’t been to a Blogger event EVER so I wanted to push myself out there and get myself and this blog out there!
I got an email back the next day saying I was going and I literally jumped up to Jack and told him. I was so excited! I jumped on Twitter to find other people going and found some who live close to me! At this point, I was ready to jump on a bus to Notts and camp outside for two days, I was that excited. So here we are. I decided to blog about the evening and what happened at the event!
So I was so anxious about being in a place with people I didn’t know, so I reached out on Twitter for people going as well. Sarah (you can find her blog here!) was so nice and stayed with me the whole night and honestly, even after a few drinks, it was nice to know someone there.
Anyway onto the night. As I live about 10 miles from Nottingham, I took the fast bus and as I got closer and closer to Notts, I got more and more excited at the fact that I was going to my first blogger event. My make-up was looking great and I straightened my hair and for once, I felt really confident and empowered. I got out of my taxi at the bus station and Nicki Minaj’s rap in Swish Swish was on and you should know, I walked to the bus station like I had the confidence of someone else.
Anyway, as I had been to Notts before, I knew kind of where to go and Jack told me it was by the Yo Sushi we had gone to before so I went on that and Google Maps helped me a lot really. It was such a nice walk as the weather wasn’t bad but wasn’t the best and there was no breeze that I remember. When I found the place, I waited for Sarah and we went in.
When we got to go down, It was beautiful. Honestly, the photo below doesn’t do the venue justice. Prezzybox made the downstairs bar area such sight. There was a photo booth, present-shaped balloons (which I totally didn’t want to steal…), a bar which signature cocktails for the night, a perfume making workshop and a Christmas gift wrapping workshop too. I literally was so overwhelmed by how many things there were to participate in!
When we got to the bottom of the stairs, I was greeted by one of the Prezzybox staff (I am so bad at names and I apologise!) who searched for my name and I was given a rundown of the evening, a ‘Free fizz token’ and a little tag which had my name AND my blog on it. Honestly, it was the cutest thing I had ever seen and suddenly my anxiety disappeared and I felt a weird though pass over me. I had never been in the same place with so many people that do the same thing as me. There were people who had jobs, who were students and were still bloggers. I felt like I fit in for once. I know it sounds weird, but I think people thought I was weird for having a blog and making videos for YouTube.
Sarah and I were eager to make perfume so we waited in line and met some lovely people along the way and then finally it was our turn. When I say that I have no clue how to make perfume, I mean that. Literally, I was surrounded by all these scents which were split into three categories which we had to pick one from each category. I was panicking because my sense of smell and what goes together is not good. I took a lucky dip and picked up heady floral, herbal and amber scents and was astounded by how good they smelt together. I thought I was a genius but I bet they all suited each other in different combinations.
I decided not to do the Gift Wrapping workshop because and I quote “they’ll get it in a bag with some tissue paper”, I wasn’t even tipsy and had like 3 drinks so I don’t know what was going on with my brain. Anyway, each table had items that you can buy from Prezzybox (you can see what they offer on their website) and there was one where they had an eye mask with f*ck off on and honestly, please can someone buy it me because I am desperate for it. There was also one with a Gin & Tonic bathing gel which I absolutely am in love with the sound of.
So after we finished making our perfume, Becky Sheeran (not related to Ed, but a girl can wish) who runs her own YouTube channel called TalkBeckyTalk and although I was too busy listening and taking videos of her because I was so involved with what she was saying, I didn’t take a photo with her because everyone was talking to her after so I apologise about that! It was nice to hear the advice she had for us and what she does and doesn’t for her social media and her channel. It was nice to know that she has a blog as well but mainly focuses on her YouTube channel.
At the end of the night, we got given Goodie bags and honestly, these were the cutest things in the world! On the bag, it had another tag which had my name and blog on which was so adorable and I think some of them were personalised to like each blog and what they write on their blog. In mine, I got a little pink rabbit screen cleaner, a cupcake shower cap and some little earrings. Although I haven’t got my ears pierced, I will be either giving them away for my Christmas giveaway or to someone who has their ears pierced. I think all of the things in the goodie bags as well came from their website so it was so cute of them to give these things out! I also got business cards from the people from Prezzybox and their 2017 Christmas catalogue so I might be buying presents for my family from there, to be honest!
So to end, thank you so much Prezzybox for inviting me to this amazing night. I met so many people and gained some friends! As this was my first Blogger Event, it will definitely stay in my memories as it was a fantastic night! Thank you to Becky for coming and speaking to us as I learned a lot and will be using your tips for the rest of my Blogging and YouTube career. Thank you to The Perfume Studio for letting me make my own fragrance which I can buy a refill of whenever I want! Most of all thank you to Baresca for hosting this amazing event, your venue was so beautiful and the nibbles and cocktails were so good! I would definitely recommend going to dinner at Baresca!
