A/N: Um... Hi?

You weren’t a public figure in any way of the sort. You were just a stressed-out university student that happened to be friends with Poki, you had met years prior when you first moved to town and had become lost. She had helped you and for some reason you had kept in contact.

You pushed your books away as you watched the clock tik away, you had promised Poki you would come over tonight doing her stream, and the 40 minute walk wasn’t anything you were particularly looking forward to. You sigh as you start to get ready.

Just as you knew the 40-minute walk was hell as always. No amount of a good friendship could make you enjoy it.

You dump through her door yelling “Hey honey I’m home!” you hang up your coat and remove your shoes.

“In here! Currently setting up!” You can hear Poki yell from the other end of the apartment. It doesn’t take long for you to find her in the studio all set up, and ready to stream.

You drop down and spin around in the chair beside her for a bit. She has already connected a headset more to her computer for you to wear.

“How long is there to your next exam?” Poki asks finishing up the last settings needed for you to be able to hear through the headset too.

You glance at the clock behind you. “43 hours, and I’m not ready at all.” You pick at your nails. You wonder what she’s going to present you as, it started as a joke the first time you joined her stream. She would make up a name for you, and you would roll with it. You enjoyed being out of the public eye, and despite being just out of frame of the camera, the ever-rotating names helped you feel a bit calmer.

You watch as she turns on the camera and greets her stream introducing you as Cherry for today. Okay that was definitely one of the more normal names.

You say a quick hi and put your hand in frame to wave at the stream, before returning to watching her as she interacts with her chat, while getting ready to join the Discord call.

The others greet the two of you, and Poki exchanges niceties with the others. You’ve met all of them before. You get a bit excited, when you watch Corpse join the call, you’ve been talking behind the scenes, but the others didn’t have to know that. To be honest a bit might be, as in for the last couple of months, and you might have forgotten to tell Poki.

“Hey Corpse!” You greet as the first one.

“Hey there,” his deep voice responds, no matter how many times you’ve heard it, the first time every time always sends the good kinds of chills down your spine.

The stream goes on really good, and you enjoy hanging out with the others, even if you aren’t actually playing.

You and Poki agrees to get some fast food for the night, neither of you wanting to cook. You make the walk to the nearest pizzeria. However during your ordering time you notice some teenager gossiping in the corner of a booth, a flash goes off as the two of you walks past with your food.

“Y/N, you probably shouldn’t check twitter.” Poki tells you as she’s checking her phone after dinner. You look over at her phone.

“How bad can it be? At worst they say I look worse than you.” You tease her, she pokes you back. You notice a comment from Corpse of all people.

Corpse_Husband: I have never seen two pretty best friends. Sorry Poki.

You watch as Poki refresh and the tweet have already been deleted. Did he just? He did. The comment section is going wild, nobody knowing if that just actually happened.

“So… you two huh?” Poki teases you

“Maybe…”
