Family Sticks Togehter
@phoena12 submitted: a quick fic i wrote for Angst War 2k18, hope you enjoy!
It had been a peaceful day or as peaceful as the studio could get, the occasional pipe bursting and sending tidal waves of ink in every direction, the sounds of pen scratching onto paper as the widening grin of Bendy takes shape. Sammy had taken to shouting as of late, much to Wally’s and some better un named interns glee, as Bendy plays prank after prank on the poor music director. Their footfalls soon heard as bendy comes screeching out of an ink stained office with a peeved (and soaked) Sammy Lawrence, insults spitting from his mouth. It takes Wally a few minutes to stop his cackling.
Sweet melodies combined with a twirl of angelic singing comb through the halls of the studio, a few employees stopping briefly by the recording studio to catch the sunny tune. Susie making the bass vocals as Alice leads with the main part, the two lost in the joy of it. Jack leans to one side of the recording booth, scanning over the lyrics and hums along to the instrumental parts.
Down below, where memories breathe a little more life than ought to be, sits Shawn, tinkering away with his bendy plushies. A careful eye analysing each and every aspect of the doll he has in hand. Satisfied, he smiles and places the doll down amongst others. A comforting hand is placed on his shoulder as Lacie asks a genial question. Shawn shrugs, stands and gestures at an oil smudged Lacie to lunch. She scoffs but heads for the elevator nonetheless, making a joke that Shawn’s eyes were looking a little green today. He laughs. He usually forgets to take his goggles off.
Several floors above, Joey sketches out various ideas to put forth for the next cartoon strip, various doodles of Bendy pulling pranks or just getting into mischief. Alice being the voice of reason and Boris the lovable antagonist. Notes are hastily scribbled at the sides, some a little indecipherable in his haste to have the picture make sense. He was sure Henry and the others would love them. At least, he think they would if not for the shouting that interrupted Joey’s thoughts. It sounded like Sammy and Bendy were at it again. He heaves a sigh, pushes up from his chair and begins a casual walk out towards the racket. Oh sure, he was gonna give them hell when he caught them but why waste that energy now. Joey waves a hello at passing co-workers.
“I’m gonna ring yer damn neck ya imp!!” Sammy all but screeches.
“Ya gotta catch me first!” Bendy snickers back as he quickly rounds a corner, only to bump into his father figure, Joey.
“I got ya now twerp!” Sammy hollers as he catches up with Bendy and grabs him by the scruff, “oh yer in for it now” Sammy spits. Failing to notice Drew but we’ll just blame it on the fact his face is covered in ink and not the overriding frenzy that has him worked up instead.
“I don’t think that is in your best interests Sammy” Joey speaks up. An audible gulp can be heard as Sammy snaps his neck to meet the cold blue eyed gaze of his boss, dropping Bendy in the process and eliciting an “oww” from him.
There’s a slight pause from both demon and music director before Bendy wraps his arms about Joey’s legs and whimpers a “he started it!” How very convincing and certainly Joey would be had he not had to deal with this same situation time and time again.
“You know damn well you started it ya pest!” Sammy glowers down at Bendy, “he flooded my office again” this he says to Joey, firmly holding his gaze. Joey could have guessed that by the state of his appearance alone.
“That fact is very evident, Sammy, what im most concerned about is the level of noise and destruction (at this he looks pointedly down the hall the two had come cavorting through) that you two have caused”. If looks could kill, Sammy would have dropped dead right there on the floor. “And Bendy” Joey begins with that parental tone that brooks no space for argument, “how many times have I told you not to flood Sammy’s office?”
Bendy idly rubs his forefingers together, a petulant frown showing, “26 times?” he tries but it doesn’t yield any form of a smile from the older man. Bendy gives up his childish act and goes to stand by Sammy, the both of them looking like disgraced children.
“47 actually” Joey sighs out. He wishes Henry were here instead. “Bendy, you’re not allowed in the animation department for the rest of the week”
“What!? But Joey-“Bendy squawks before being cut off.
“No.” it’s harsh but Bendy needs to learn. “As for you, Sammy, your coffee intake will be reduced” that might be pushing it but it’s the only way Joey can really reprimand Sammy.
“Fine…” Sammy grouches, unwilling to fight further on the subject with his boss. He supposed, as well, that he had caused a bit of havoc for the rest of the studio, especially for Wally.
“Good, I shall leave you two to-“
“But what am I meant to do for the rest of the week!” Bendy suddenly pipes up, his hands fisted slightly and looking none too happy about the arrangement made.
“You can draw or you can go play in the other departments” Joey tries.
Bendy grumbles under his breathe, looking about as mad as a dozing kitten, as he stalks off, stomping his little feet every now and then. Sammy nods a curt farewell as he goes to clean himself off. The both of them, Joey concludes then and there, are like spoilt children. Ah well, they would get over it sooner or later and besides, a week wasn’t a long time and Sammy could live without coffee. It might even do his health some benefit.
~~0~~
He was mad.
No!
He was fuming!
He was…he was….what was that word Sammy always used?
Pissed! Yeah that was it, Bendy was pissed as all hell. He’d show Joey, he could find plenty to do without sitting with Henry and watch him draw out each careful line of his beloved cartoon. Nope, Bendy wouldn’t miss the soft scratch of pen to pristine paper, or the gentle mutters of the other animators or the lulling hums of Henry as he zoned out.
Nope!
Nu-uh!
Bendy wasn’t gonna miss any of it. In fact it would do him wonderfully to get away from such a dull place. Think of all the pranks he could pull on everyone else! Oh, Joey would regret this decision. Not that Bendy ‘cared’.
Except his plans hadn’t, well, gone according to plan at all.
Wally had caught on to all of Bendy’s pranks and even alerted the rest of the studio to any other of his shenanigans (the gall!), so pranks were swiftly thrown out the window.
Even Alice and Susie wouldn’t put up with him. They had welcomed him into their conversation but the little demon soon lost track or sense of the conversation and after asking the 40th or so question pertaining to “why a guy’s butt looks good in dress pants, compared to overalls”, both women had kicked Bendy out of the conversation. If you asked Bendy, guy’s butts looked better in skirts!
And Lacie and Shawn were no help either. Lacie pretty much kept Bendy at an arm’s length whilst she worked on some mechanical thing and when Bendy had inquired as to what it was she was working on (and god did he ever regret that question) she had shown him a metallic doll that looked like him.
Except it was missing its eyes.
And some of its teeth had fallen out.
Oh and there was oil coming out of its eyes which was not ok?
Bendy had promptly fled the room screaming and hid beneath a stack of dolls.
Another dire mistake because today was filled with those apparently.
Shawn just had to pick him up out of the stack and Shawn just had to stick a needle dangerously close to his eyes. To Bendy’s amusement, Shawn did scream when finding it to be the real him but, you know, having a needle that close to your eye?
That’s not such an amusing thing.
So, Bendy had booked it outside the studio and yes, he was always told never to go outside the studio but the place was beginning to get too stifling and the fresh air and cooling wind felt good. The sky was blue with thick fluffy clouds, like out of a picture book. It was serene. Nice. Bendy inwardly thanked Joey for giving him a reason to go outside. What Bendy failed to know was that for a toon, stepping outside was a death wish.
He didn’t hear their footsteps or their murmured voices, only the flash of a camera and the shocked cries of humans. He didn’t recognise the voices. He didn’t recognise their faces either. Oh but they recognised him for sure.
Bendy had darted back into the studio, the people shouting and causing an uproar now. They banged against the door. His heart fluttered once and then began an uneven beat. Fast and unrelenting. Oh god, what did he do?
With tears welling in his eyes he runs to the one person who could sort out this mess.
Henry.
He knows, he shouldn’t go anywhere near the animation department, the building anxiety of Joeys disappointed features tearing at the young toons heart. Bendy felt as if he would burst.
As he reaches Henry, he’s a crying mess, ink and tears dripping heavily to the floor. No doubt a puddle would form. Henry is instantly on his knees.
“Hey,hey, what’s wrong buddy?” with a soothing tone that has Bendy bawling even more, the other animators coming to see the ruckus.
It hurts. It hurts so much because bendy is crying and sobbing and begging. “Im sorry, im sorry” and “please forgive me Henry” over and over again. His voice goes hoarse and cracks and god, does he feel like he’s gonna burst. There’s too many people and as Henry picks up his shaking form, Bendy burrows his face into his shirt, staining it in tears and ink.
~~0~~
The next day is even worse when the newspapers arrive. A picture of Bendy standing just outside the studio door, a soft and surprised look on his face, on the front page. He cries as Joey stares blankly at the page, eyes widening as he reads each word.
“Drew studios conducting experiments?” one reads.
“Famous star, Bendy, seen outside Drew Studios in freak photo!” another states.
And on and on such titles go, the wonder and mostly horror, at the favoured cartoon being alive.
It was a scandal to be sure.
The studio is silent that day, nobody works.
Henry holds Boris close, as Susie links hands with Alice. The silence a sharp and stabbing pain.
Bendy resigns himself from the chatter but Joey picks him up and holds him close.
“We’ll figure this out” he promises. Bendy cries and hopes that he does.
~~0~~
He’s not sure how many days have passed now.
The newspapers have grown less restive and in response to the heated media, the public takes a stand and protest outside of Drew studios.
It’s horrible and noisy and it’s all his fault.
Bendy doesn’t cry anymore. Just weak shudders and the occasional whimper.
Alice had yelled at him. Screaming. Throwing her hands about in wild gesticulation. Then she had stormed off and Bendy hadn’t seen her since. Susie assured him that she had calmed down but knew that wasn’t the case. Alice would never forgive him. She would hate him forever.
The thought was a punch to the gut.
Intern after intern had been laid off too, seeing as the mobs were getting rowdy and demanding entrance to the studio. Someone had been hurt, a long and nasty gash down their head. Bendy could still smell the blood.
Joey had even taken an interview stating that there were no living toons and such an idea was foolish. Clearly, the public hadn’t believed it.
It was all his fault.
It was all his fault
It was all his fault!
Hisfaulthisfaulthisfaulthi-
Well-toned arms had picked him as impossibly more tears slipped down his broken features, swaying him back and forth and murmuring soft words.
Henry.
Henry was here and standing at his side was Boris and Joey, both looking worried and aged beyond their years. Alice appeared from nowhere and placed a reassuring hand upon Bendy’s quivering self, a small smile telling she had forgiven him.
“Oh, Bendy…” Henry begins, softly, “no more tears, we’ll figure this out, ok?”
“b-but I… I hurt everyone…” Bendy hoarsely whispers, his eyebrows drawn tight and lip quivering.
“Ya certainly caused a mess, imp, but were used ta cleaning up yer messes” Sammy chips in, a smile tugging at his lips.
“I think ya mean I’m more used ta it, I’m the janitor ‘ere” Wally quips as he shrugs past Sammy. Sammy rolls his eyes in response.
“Oh would you two stop! The boy is clearly upset!” Lacie scolds from the end of the hall, her boots thudding as she makes her way to the growing group, Shawn trailing behind.
“We’re in this together” Alice murmurs as she rests her head on Henry’s shoulder.
“A family that works together, sticks together, is what I always say” Joey supplies, hands on his hips in a triumphant manner.
“Since when have you ever said that?” Susie drawls, earning a few snickers.
“W-well, just now!” Joey replies indignantly. Everyone giggles.
A family that sticks together, huh?
Yeah, Bendy had a whole family at his back that loved and cherished him.
Everything would work out in the end.
((OHH IT STARTED OUT REALLY CUTE BUT THEN GOT REALLY SCARY IN THE MIDDLE AND GOT CUTE AGAIN,,,, i love that... thats some Good Stuff. and they’re a family. they’re calling each other family. ohhhhhh my weakness, my biggest weakness-- thank you for the fic!! ; o ;))

ANOTHER PROMPT so something a little fluffier Do you write Sean (is that how you spell his name??? The toy maker???) Because imagine Sean having a bad day and he goes to his workshop and later on when joey is looking for him he finds him in a pile of stuffed toys asleep!!!
((Don’t worry, I can do fluffy!! Especially with as cute a prompt as this, my goodness))
“Eeey, Shawn! Conas a-a-atá tú?”
How was he? The toymaker only had to turn to his friend as an answer. Wally Franks cringed a little bit at the sight of a black eye, and he tenatively leaned in to look closer. “Jaysus… That’s a nice lookin’ shiner… Who’d you piss off?” Despite the teasing tone in Wally’s voice, Shawn still grumbled and growled as he sunk into his chair. He wasn’t in the mood.
“Didn’ do sheiiiit.” Crossing his arms in front of himself, he pulled up one leg and rested it atop his other. And when Wally started to look worried, he’d curled up a little.
“….You get into the fight clubs wit’ Liam again?”
“No.” Granted, it wouldn’t be the first time he’d gone with Liam to a fight ring, or even to less-than-savory places, just to give his sister’s husband some back-up. He could see why Wally went to that first.
“…. If it was one of the shit heads, you can tell Lawrence. You know that, right?”
And he could see why Wally went to that second. And unfortunately, he was right. Shawn may not have had the freckles and vivid orange-red hair that Wally did, but his accent gave him away much quicker. And his height left a lot to be desired. Made him a lovely target to assholes who wanted him shipped back off. “It’s a'ight, Wally…. Really. The fuck won’ be’ bother'n’ us anymore… Tommy scared ’m off.”
“Shawn….”
“Ahh, staaad….” He reached over, giving Wally a half-hearted shove on the leg. “I’ll be fine, Walls… Jus’ need a lil’ work ta’ get mah min’ off it.”
His friend seemed incredibly skeptical about that, but did grab a hold of his mop. “A'ight. But you should see the infirm'ry regardless.” After Shawn gave his grunt of understanding, Wally finally started to walk off.
Shawn felt a little more comfortable letting his fake grin fall as he heard Franks’s steps get fainter and fainter. He was trying the “fake it until it’s real” approach; if he pretended he was okay, he’d be okay sooner. If he was honest with himself though, he’d feel much better spending the night at Thomas’s or Grant’s. His friends were always willing to set him up a night if Siobhan and her husband needed some time alone.
….
Well. First he needed to get some work done. No use bein’ here and not earning his keep. Maybe it’d put Grant’s mind at ease that at least a few people were working hard in this damn studio.
————————————————————–
It was a rare day that Joey was one of the last people out. Usually that honor went to Sammy Lawrence, or even Wally Franks. But, Joey had stayed in his office, working as hard as he could to finalize budgets and ledgers for Cohen, and even draw out storyboards for a new episode. He was 100% drained now. And now, he had to look forward to going up the rickedy elevator just to get to the first floor. AKA, where the exit was.
He swung his weight around on crutches today, huffing with the extertion as he tried to make it through the building. Honestly, why did Cohen need to keep his office so damn far away from the door?? He’d made it to the toy workshop before he stopped in his tracks.
Either he was seeing things, or his toymaker was asleep on one of the big Boris plushes.
He swung forward a few steps, just to be sure he was seeing this right…. And he leaned back on his good foot as he realized he was. Shawn Flynn looked downright exhausted…. Not to mention the lovely black eye and busted lip he was sporting.
It was… Strange seeing the chatterbox so quiet. Even stranger that the young man was asleep in his work place. … Then again, there was a reason he had cots all over the studio. A lot of his workers, and even his friends, worked themselves too hard. He sighed gently as he leaned over, picking up the plush Boris’s arm and laying it across Shawn’s chest. Joey froze as the toymaker shifted a little, but relaxed as he fell back into a deep sleep.
… Well. It wasn’t as if he had anything waiting at home. So Joey Drew went upstairs. He didn’t leave the building that evening, deciding to stay in his office the whole night. Someone had to be sure no one snuck in. And he got those damn storyboards finished.

I gotta say "wow" to begin with, I really like your take on "what if the toons created the humans" (kinda like a swap au) and your fanfiction is honestly pretty damn good. Having said that I would love to write something for the "sinners and saints au" (that's the swap one right??, apologies if I got it wrong) and I was wondering if you wouldn't mind giving me a more in depth description of the characters?? Anyways keep up the amazing work! !
Thank you!— and yes, the Sinners and the Saints AU is the swap one. I’d love to see your take on it, and would be more than happy to dig into my characterizations. Keep in mind, this will be my take on them, and @insanityallegra might have different ones in her stories. So, the characters!
Bendy: Bendy is the original Creator of both Henry and Joey, the show’s main characters. He’s proud of them, loves his work, and prior to everything going wrong, was a very happy-go-lucky sorta fellow. He’s the one to put forth the idea of bringing their characters to life. Alice and Boris— his partners at the studio— agree, and together they build the Crimson Machine. Bendy often overworks himself and feels the need to face any problems they have in the studio head on. He cares about his creations, and on some level, he totally understands their pain and anger. He doesn’t blame them for hating him, since he’s one of the primary sources of their suffering, for all that his intentions were never to hurt them. Bendy’s kind of an optimistic pessimist. He wants to make things better, but he’s also pretty sure he’s going to die at the humans’ hands. I wouldn’t necessarily call him a scaredy cat, but he very much understands that he’s in near constant danger— something that would take a toll on anyone— and he’s a bit jumpy. He’d also much rather run than be forced to fight, since, like I said, he really does care about his creations. After creating Henry, he gets a bit more hopeful that things might turn out okay, but he’s also paranoid and suspicious that Henry might not be as saintly as he thought. But he’s low on options, which means that even though he might be afraid of Henry sometimes, Bendy sticks with him. On some level, at least, Henry is protective of him, and Bendy can trust that if nothing else.
Alice: Alice is fairly level-headed, and it takes a lot for her to lose her temper. When she does, however, you’d best steer clear. She makes up the most of the common sense in the trio, and while she loves her work at the studio as much as the next toon, she felt a bit distanced from some of the work up until the creation of Susie, for which she was responsible. I really recommend reading insanityallegra’s Regret (https://star-going-supernova.tumblr.com/post/168806287866/the-sinners-and-the-saints-regret), because it does a great job of capturing Alice through Susie. Like Bendy, Alice cares about the humans and hates that they’re obviously in pain. She was the first to favor the idea of killing the humans, not because they were scary (though they definitely do become that) but because she can’t stand to see how much suffering they’re in. Whether or not Alice can be saved from the merge with Susie, is currently unknown (and very well may differ between authors). Boris: I haven’t gotten around to figuring Boris out much, but I have him pegged as a chill, laid-back sorta guy. He can prank with the best of them, and he’s a huge part of the music department at the studio. He knows when to be serious and when to be funny, and he agrees with Alice that putting the humans down is the best mercy they can give. While he doesn’t have as close a connection to any of the characters like Bendy and Alice do, he cares about them just as much. Having to defend himself from them is worse for him than the others, since Boris is tall enough to actually do some damage in a fight. And because of his size, running and hiding isn’t often an option like it is for most of the rest of the toons, leading him to have to fight more often than not. Joey is Bendy’s biggest problem, and Susie was Alice’s, but unlike them, Boris doesn’t have a human hunting him down. That being said, however, even in this world, there’s something about the music department that draws Sammy in, and you can bet that sooner or later, there’s gonna be a confrontation. Boris’s current status is unknown. Joey: In the cartoon, Joey was a happy troublemaker, always getting into silly predicaments and going on adventures. His hammerspace doesn’t work correctly, and he’s constantly got a beef with Sammy for reasons that only seem to make sense to the two of them. He’s got a penchant for getting others involved in his problems, and while he often seems aloof, he cares very much about his friends. Joey’s got a real temper on him, and can react over-dramatically to a lot things. Here’s the physical description of his monster form, courtesy of insanityallegra: “One green eye glared down at Bendy, the pupil pie-cut just like in the show… And he was certainly tall, much, much taller than Bendy… But half of his face was… melted… Crimson continually pouring off of him in a never ending waterfall. He was missing a chunk out of his other side, again continuously bleeding thick crimson liquid and leaving that part of his shirt and jacket hanging loose. His left foot was straight-up missing, the right too large and twisted unnaturally. One of his arms was (almost uncannily) on-model, the other one completely bone with red chunks of flesh sticking to it. His face was twisted into a permanent, plastic smile, dripping crimson onto the floor from half of his head. What was there of his hair was matted down with the liquid.” In short, Joey’s in a lot of pain, and he has no problem placing the blame for it on Bendy. Now that he’s alive, and thus realizing that everything he thought was real is nothing more than a lie, he’s angry and upset, and the fact that the toons unknowingly denied him his best friend makes everything even worse. The rest of the humans look to him as an authority, and he’s the one that leads their little rebellion, trapping everyone inside the studio and initiating the hunting and capturing of the toons. He’s beyond reason at this point, and very much serves as a parallel to in-game ‘Bendy,’ being mindless in his rage, unwilling to back down, almost impossible to injure, and bent on revenge. Henry: In the cartoon, Henry plays the role of Joey’s guardian angel, and he’s got the wings and halo to prove it. He serves as a foil to Joey while also complimenting his personality. Henry’s a combination of patient, helpful, and cunning, with a generous dash of humor. He’s level-headed, and being best friends and guardian of Joey has left him pretty hard to surprise. He’s not much different outside of the show, remaining a curious sort of paradox between being all-around good and a peculiar sort of devious. Once he’s brought to life, there’s something not-quite-right about him, though. Oh, it’s nothing to do with his appearance; in fact, Henry’s the only one of the humans to come out on-model and in full color, with his navy sweater vest, red bowtie, blue eyes, and gold halo and wings. But for all that he does well in protecting Bendy and seems to genuinely want to help the humans without harming the toons, Bendy can’t help but feel that he’s missing something. Depending on how long it’s been after his creation, Henry could be written as anything from a character slowly going dark-side (but whether or not he will, you’ll just have to wait and see) to a character that’s fiercely protective and a perfect saint. Are Bendy’s suspicions that Henry’s associating with Joey true? Or is Henry as committed as Bendy is to finding a peaceful end to this mess? All I’m saying is that Henry has secrets, no doubt about it. But as for what those secrets are? Henry’s not tellin’ anytime soon. Sammy and Norman: I’m lumping these two together, since they spent most of their time in the show as best friends dealing with Joey’s antics. Sammy’s the more easily tempered of the two, and he’s perpetually grumpy. He takes delight in messing with Joey, and he has the tendency to be a bit callous. Norman is quiet and is to Sammy as Henry is to Joey. That being said, he can be just as much a thorn in Joey’s side when he wants to, and he ends up helping Sammy with his own antics and keeps him from going too far. They’re both on fairly friendly terms with Henry, Norman more so than Sammy. Neither of them mean Joey any true harm, but every good cartoon needs characters to return the slapstick nonsense. You can almost think of them as a cross between Donald Duck and Pete from the Mickey cartoons, Sammy more than Norman— in that they’re not really villains, and actually do end up on the same side as Joey and Henry sometimes, but their roles often focus on comedic antagonists. Of course, there are lots of toons and humans that also exist, though they’ve yet to be anything other than background characters for me. I know @liliflower137 and @guess-my-country each have designs for specific Searchers. I haven’t figured out a place for Wally just yet, though I’m opening to seeing where others might take him. Susie is very well described in insanityallegra’s Regret, like with Alice. I hope this was helpful, friend, and if you have any more questions, please feel free to ask them!  :)

Don't know if this is up your street or not but I wish you write a fic where king dice sells his soul to the devil
He was under no illusions when he decided to enter the Devil's casino.
There was a decent reason to avoid making deals with the literal devil. He could twist your words around, he could easily smack you down to size for no reason other than his mood, and then there was the blaringly obvious fact that he was, you know, the Devil himself. That tended to put others off.
He had no need to ask for riches. The Devil could make riches easily, but he could take it away just as quickly like one of the slot machines.
He had no reason to ask for power or prestiage. No one could hold onto such things without gaining enemies that would backstab you while giving honey smiles.
But on that same hand, what was he supposed to do? He couldn't live working for table scraps. He might've been able to when Bugsy was running the Casino, but since that fool had been found squished, the job of running the Casino fell to the Big Fuzz himself. And no one, absolutely NO ONE, wanted to do business with the Devil. Almost no one wanted to try their luck in a dingy little building where there were barely any vices. And everyone wanted to avoid being in a place that was too hot, too loud, and uninviting.
His father worked for this place when it was under Bugsy, and it had flourished. Changed with the times. Been interesting enough to attract all kinds of folk, from a priest to a demon. There was something for everyone there, long as you stayed to look. And if you decided to run your luck, you'd at least have fun doing it.
But now...
He sighed, thumping his chest once as he stepped up to the big fuzz himself. "Heard you've been havin' trouble keep'n' folks in?"
The Devil snarled, his pearly white teeth gleaming under a black furred lip as he looked through a giant accounting book. "If yer' worried about bein' fired, Pip, th'n jus' say it. Don't try 'n sugah' me up none."
He grinned, stretching his arms out comraderly. He needed to play a part of a charmer. He could do that. "Well, I ain' too worried." His Mama shoulda washed his mouth with soap for such a lie, but he needed to keep it going. "I jus' think thin's could be a lil'... Ya know. Bett'ah. Li' when Bugsy was still in." He shrugged his shoulders in fake nonchalance, keeping a careful eye on the Devil. His hackles were raising slightly. "No offense, Boss."
"Offense taken r'gardless." The Devil set the book down, and he scowled to the dice-head. "... I ain' open to suggestin', Pip. Now git back to the floor. Fin' somethin' tah do."
He crossed his arms, huffing a little. Now was the time to go in for the kill. "There ain' nothin' to do. No one's comin' in. Not all it's you, Boss, but no one wan's to come inta a dump li' this." He saw the glint in his Boss's eye, and knew it was now or never. "You a fine demon, but you don' have the people skills. There's plenty ya could do, but ya don' wanna. Too focused on makin' deals to realize tha' no one wan's to make one in an uninvitin' place."
Take the bait.
"You wanna bet on that, Pip?"
Hook. Line. And Sinker.
"....Sure. I can make a bet on that."
He'd make this a decent place once more. Under his own control, or the Devil's, didn't matter. He was a King already, and he'd make his kingdom a fine one.
“Betcha I could bring ‘n more ‘n a hundred by end’a next week.” That seemed ridiculous enough.
And the Devil knew it too, if he saw that grin on his face well enough. “A hundred, huh?” He tapped his cheek, considering the offer. “.... Well. Let’s see that. Bring in a hundred. Don’t, and I take that soul of yours.”
...
In the end, he brought in ninety-nine.
But King Dice still got what he wanted. An’ that was just fine with him.

I’m fighting the ink man and you can’t stop me.
2) On a scale of 1-10, how excited do I get when I see them?
I mean… a 4.5, I guess?
3) Would I smooch?
I would definitely smooch @ask-joeydrewstudios‘s Sammy, no lie.
4) Have I drawn/written about them/should i draw/write about them?
I am in an Angst War centered around the Sudio, though, oddly enough, we seem to target Sammy more. But yes, I’ve written AND drawn him.
5) Voice HC if they don’t have a voice already?
Truthfully, I saw Liz’s blog before I found the voice clips, but I always imagined he’d have, like, a raspy voice. When I heard his canon voice, my only thought was ‘why can’t this just be a tad bit deeper?’

Sammy and susie fluff pls! Ideas; -sammy notices susie is stressed out with work and so decides to dance with her in the studio (it cheers her up!) - susie notices sammy has been working long hours to finish up a deadline, she finds him the following evening fallen asleep at his desk. She finds and puts a blanket on him and a note to take a break - just a general sammy enjoying listening to susie sing~ Can't wait to see what you write~
((i am so sorry this took so long for me to get around to posting oh my god. i can be such a perfectionist with my writing OTL anyway back to the fic itself: fluff. fluff. this is Pure Fluff. i just wanted to write fluff. I might write that second one at some point, but for now have the first one. here it is on AO3 as well. ENJOY!))
It wasn’t unusual for the door to Sammy’s office to be thrown open in a fuss. Usually he was the one doing the throwing, but sometimes it was from the whiny janitor, or the eldest of the living toon trio, or a frustrated band member coming to throw the pump switch to take care of some misplaced ink. They’d enter, do what they came to do, he’d tell them off for disturbing him, they’d leave. When his door was thrown open today, he didn’t expect it to be any different. As the wooden frame struck the wall behind it with a loud BANG, Sammy jumped. Before he could even turn around to scold the person, he could hear the clicking of heals on his office floor and the hoarse voice of Susie Campbell already endlessly ranting to him. She was the one person he could never be mad at, at least not for long.
“Sammy these deadlines are absolutely ridiculous! I’ve been working here for three years, THREE YEARS, and I’ve never recorded so much as I have in this past week!” She started. She sounded about ready to cry, which broke his heart. He didn’t give the unfinished, now unimportant sheet music that scattered his desk another thought as he turned around in his chair, leaning on the back rest with his arms.
“I’ve been recording so much, I’m starting to lose my voice… All I’ve done today is record, all I did yesterday was record, all I’ve done this whole damn week is record record record, and at this point if I don’t get a break soon… I’m afraid I’ll actually lose my voice! I can’t lose my voice! I’m a voice actress, Sammy! That’s what I do!”
Sammy nodded along to her rant, snuffing out his cigarette in the ash tray andflicking the dial of the radio on his desk. It hissed with static briefly before the slow jazz came through.
“If I lose my voice, I wont be able to work here anymore! I wouldn’t be able to work anywhere! What good’s a voice actress that can’t talk!?”
Her ranting continued as he stood and sauntered over to her, hands in his pockets.
“My entire career is going to be over just because Joey Drew couldn’t give us a more lenient deadline and I worked my voice into exhaustion!”
Now she looked about ready to cry. There were dots of tears in the corners of her eyes, and she was biting her lip. He slipped his hands out of his pockets and into her own, and he began to hum along to the tune of the radio.
“…Sammy, what on earth are you doing?”
  “Dancing with you.” He murmured.
  “This isn’t the time for a dance…”
“Sure it is. If you didn’t want to dance, you would have left by now.”
She hesitated. He was right, if she truly didn’t want to dance she would have left when he turned on the radio. With a sigh, she draped her arms around him, and he did the same. While the radio droned on, they slow danced. She buried her face in his shoulder and he rested his head on hers and kept humming. When she began to sob, he held her tighter and ran his fingers through her golden curls, but he didn’t stop dancing. Neither of them did.
The song ended, and another one began. When that one ended, yet another one played. They danced the whole time through, Sammy humming for most of it to help calm her down. As they neared the end of the third song, he realized she was no longer sobbing - she now rested her head gently on his chest, head tucked under his. Just as the song finished, he gracefully dipped her. Her sparkling blue eyes pierced straight through his very soul, and before he could pull her back up again she pushed her lips against his.
He felt his face flush, but he kissed her back for a brief moment before standing her back up and finally stopping their little dance.
“Feeling a little better?” He asked. She gave a nod and a meager smile.
“Good. I’ll have to talk to Joey later about the schedule, I can’t have my darling little Susiebell losing her voice now can I? In the meantime… get yourself some water, enjoy your break, and… try not to talk too much.”
With a pat on the head and a kiss on the cheek, he sent her on her way. There wasn’t much for her to do with herself if she couldn’t work or talk, so she got some water and relaxed in the break room, counting the seconds until her next recording session… she hadn’t dreaded her job so much since she auditioned.
Suddenly there was a commotion from outside the break room door. She turned her attention up the stairs just in time to see her boss yelling at someone with the door open.
“I’m going right NOW, Lawrence! Oi vey…” He muttered nonsense to himself as he came down the stars, scanning the large area for a moment before finding her and walking over.
“Ah, Susie! It’s… been brought to my attention that your schedule for this week is a bit…”
“Absurd?” She interjected, her voice cracking.
“Yes, well, that’s certainly a word for it…” Joey nervously clapped his hands together. “Regardless, it’s been advised that I rearrange some things, not just for your comfort but for your health as well. That being said, Lawrence and I have managed to pull some strings-”
“That was ALMOST ENTIRELY MY DOING, DREW.” Sammy yelled from the hallway beyond the door.
“…Okay, fine. It was mostly Sammy, but the point of the matter is that you now have tomorrow off. In addition to that, your remaining sessions have been spaced out so that they now run into next week - that gives you more time to rest up between them. I’m also looking into rescheduling some of your smaller roles to some other voice actors, so you have less work to strain yourself over.”
Her eyes lit up. Had Sammy really gone to all this trouble moving schedules around just so she didn’t burn herself out? He’d never do this for the band, or the other voice actors…
“And… in the future, I’ll have to be a little more… considerate when setting these deadlines and assigning roles. As Sammy said, we certainly can’t have one of our best voice actresses losing her voice.”
She smirked. With the tone in his voice, she could tell Sammy really went off on him. Joey was sweet enough, but sometimes he deserved a bit of a reality check.
“So unless you have any reservations…” he began.
“None at all, these changes sound lovely.”
“Wonderful. I suppose I wont be seeing you tomorrow, then. Enjoy your break, Miss Campbell!” He smiled at her and then left. There was a brief exchange of words from behind the breakroom door before Sammy came down the stairs and sat at the table with her. She slid her hand into his over the table.
  “Thank you, Sammy.”
  “You’re welcome, dear.”

So, @phoena12 and I had an interesting conversation about the new BATIM chapter and Henry’s possible humanity and she said this: Or when he gets to the end of the game and he's saved alice and boris, he looks in a broken mirror and sees what he looks like, a toon
Which gave me ideas~
They were finally going to get out. After all they’d been through, all the battles and running and hiding, they were getting out. The Ink Demon had been defeated by his hand, revealing itself to be none other than Joey Drew. Joey had pleaded with Henry, but Henry was all out of compassion. Joey was now all tied up and slung over Thomas’ shoulder. Henry could hardly believe it was all over now. He had a large crowd of Lost Ones behind him as Allison and Thomas led the way back up the stairs towards the first floor and the exit.
“Almost there.” Allison turned to give him a big smile.
“I can’t wait to see Linda again.” Henry smiled tiredly as they ascended the stairs. The Lost Ones began whispering between one another. Henry knew they were nervous. They’d spent so long in the studio. Sammy was leading the Lost Ones. He’d discarded his Bendy mask after discovering just who his savior was.
“Come along, my sheep.” He coaxed them. “We’ll all be out soon enough.” For the most part, he was a lot quieter now. He’d apologized quite a bit to Henry and everyone else. They’d accepted his apologies, of course.
“Wonder how we’re gonna explain all this,” Thomas muttered with a snort. “Sure won’t be easy.”
“It’ll definitely be....interesting.” Allison laughed tiredly. Joey groaned loudly. Thomas rolled his pie-cut eyes and hefted Joey. It looked like he was going to have to knock him out again or they’d have to listen to Joey’s pleading again. He wasn’t getting away with this, not this time.
“Well, it’ll help to have at least one human to explain things,” Henry said, passing a broken mirror. However, he paused when he saw his reflection. Henry hadn’t seen his reflection since he’d come to the studio. Instead of his normal reflection, he saw Bendy the Dancing Demon staring back at him through the fractured glass.
“One human?” Allison paused and looked back at him. “What are you talking about, Henry? None of us are human anymore.” Even Joey had been affected by the ink.
“How...How long have I looked like this?” Henry asked, eyes wide as he looked over at Allison and Thomas.
“You looked that way when we found you,” Thomas said.
“You were that way when I discovered you.” Sammy agreed. “It was why I didn’t recognize you in the first place.”
“So I’ve been a toon this whole time?” Henry whispered.
“I mean, I did knock you out with a metal dustpan.” Sammy pointed out. “A normal human would probably have gotten a concussion.”
“Not to mention that elevator drop,” Allison added. “A human couldn’t have survived anything at this studio.” Henry couldn’t believe this. He was a toon. Joey had gotten him as well. The Lost Ones crowded around him, trying to comfort him as he started to cry. Allison hurried to Henry’s side, doing the same. Thomas glared at Joey.
“See what you’ve done?” He growled.
“He’s lucky,” Joey mumbled. “He got to be perfect. You saw what a disaster I was.”
“Don’t make me smash you into a wall,” Thomas said flatly. “None of us are lucky. We’re just more fortunate than the others. But none of this had anything to do with luck.” Henry was inconsolable. It was just the last straw. Would his family even recognize him? What would happen to him once they got outside? He had to say though, it did make sense. Allison and Sammy were right. No human could have survived all he had at the studio. Not to mention, he’d known somehow that he’d gotten shorter.
“It’ll be okay, Henry,” Allison assured him. “We’re going to be okay. We’ll get out and we’ll figure things out.”
“You’re not alone.” Sammy put a hand on his shoulder.
“Are you all done with this trash?” Joey asked. Without hesitation, Thomas shoved his head through the wall. The studio head was out cold when the former mechanic withdrew him.
“You didn’t need to do that.” Allison scolded him.
“Shut him up, didn’t it?” Thomas shrugged and slung Joey back over his shoulder. Allison sighed and turned her attention back to Henry.
“We can get going whenever you’re ready.” She said. Henry nodded, and after a few minutes they started off again. Soon enough they reached the exit. They all glanced at one another, their hearts beginning to pound. Then Henry stepped forward, opened the door, and stepped into the light.
