Log #2, June 23rd, 2025. It's been approximately a month since my birthday, I'm 16 now. Nothing feels different, I don't feel any different. I feel guilt, mostly. I feel guilt in the fact that Mel never got to know anything past this age. I feel her everywhere, I see her in everything - can you be haunted by a ghost who's already moved on? Melody, meeting you changed everything.

Hey, it's Phoebe Spengler. Part time student, part time Ghostbuster. I thought I'd try starting a blog and interacting with people in order to get a little more social interaction into my day (at Trevor's suggestion). So- ask me anything, I guess.

Guidelines and other stuff (please read before interacting):

-This is a Phoebe askblog! I'll be posting answered asks as well as little posts in between about her day and her thoughts :)

-This is a completely independent blog! I'm aware there are others on the site with other storylines (and they're amazing go check them out), but to avoid any confusion, I just want to clarify that this one is entirely independent of said other storylines with other Phoebe blogs!

-Of course, since the character and I are both minors, I ask for no NSFW of any nature in the interactions (general ship stuff is okay! I just ask that no one is weird about it)

-I'm okay with interacting with other rp blogs in the franchise! (As long as it makes vague canonical sense of course- and as long as I'm not disrupting any other plotline with other askblogs! Which is basically a rephrase of the second point I made but I feel like it had to be said like that too-)

-I'll be using separate tags for 'answered asks' and 'Phoebe's thoughts' (might introduce some more down the line but those will be the initial blog tags)

-I have never done one of these before so this is a completely new experience for me- but! I'm extremely excited- I absolutely adore these characters and I'd be absolutely honoured to be a part-time Phoebe

Anyway, that's all, I think? Canon wise, this is intended to be set after the events of Frozen Empire :)

do you ever wonder if she thinks about you ?

Part of me wants to think so, and part of me wants to think she's watching over me.

Another part is ashamed of what she would see, ashamed of what she would think I've become.

I'm not sure, I know I for sure wanted to kiss her if I hadn't gotten... possessed. I just wanted a little more time.

It's a sweet thought, she made me feel more loved and seen then I ever had before - I'd be more than happy if she felt the same.

Log #1: June 22nd, 2025. It's been a year since I fell in love with Melody - a year since I lost her in the same fell swoop.

I've been trying to make sense of all these emotions that I've since felt well up inside me, reconsidering my outlook on life and living.

Melody really changed me, and I don't know how to feel about it. How can you grieve someone if you only knew them after they've stopped living?

This blog is characterized as Phoebe Spengler from the Ghostbusters franchise, characterization will be heavily reliant on headcanons as this blog takes place when Phoebe is 16 - a year past Frozen Empire.

how was your family taking everything?

Not very well, I imagine. ....Odd question.

did you make sure that there was any way to - i don't know, bypass the system ? or maybe you could figure out a way ?

There's certain ways for me to bypass it. When I made it, this seed planted in my head was already well on it's way to blooming - so I made sure, that if or when I went through with this - there'd be a way for me to get back inside if I ever wanted to. If I distinctly remember the exact way is a different story. ...I'm sure it'll be fine.

do you think you'll be noticed if you go back ? or can you like.. sneak ?

If I'm swift and efficient enough I think I can grab it with minimal detection. Before I... became this - I put in a pretty good ghost security system. Nothing crazy, just an alarm that's triggered by PKE detections. ...Which is bad news for me now. Hopefully I know my own invention well enough to avoid it.

do you know what your family's been up to ? or... anything, really ? the outside world ?

I try to stay in my lane - It's safer that I stay away from the parts of the city that... know me.

I've only been back once, and I- Oh.

I left her matchbox there. That's all I have left of her.

I'll be going on my own terms - you think I haven't been thinking about this? I've had this feeling gnawing at me for a long time.

It's not like I don't know that the afterlife is a proven, tangable thing. That's my whole job.
