Have a headcanon in these trying times:

The way of Philza and Techno meeting for the first time wasn't Techno saving Phil. It was actually quite the opposite.

While exploring the Nether, the young, newly married angel of Death found a man, unconscious on the ground.

What a strange place, of course, but since Phil is kind hearted, he took the man, albeit he was bigger than Phil expected, to the overworld.

Not noticing the man's obvious pigging features (bad lighting, it was night, just think of an excuse other than ,,Phil needs glasses". He does), he took him to his home.

He treated the battered and bruised man right away, and went to sleep.

Next morning, Techno woke up. Of course, the change of scenery shocked him, but so did his bandaged wounds. Scanning for potential danger, he explored the abode.

It was a small cabin in the middle of the woods, with seemingly no one else.

,,There's breakfast in the kitchen, if you want!" He heard another man's voice from the lower floor.

It couldn't hurt, he thought, paying no attention to his rumbling stomach.

Walking into the kitchen, a winged man welcomed him, with a bit of a shocked expression. (That's an understatement, Phil was freaking out. You don't see a piglinlike that very often.)

,,I found you injured in the Nether, so I took you here. Are you hungry?" The winged man asked.

Technoblade, sensing no ill intention, took a seat.

,,Yeah, I am"

And the rest is history.

Philza just said he imagines himself as an archaeologist discovering stuff in his Hardcore world and oml did that give me so many ideas for DSMP too

Idea 1: Phil finding a temple dedicated to Death. The place was abandoned for sooo long but Phil, being an archaeologist got really interested in the forgotten place, returning to the ruin every day for weeks, documenting everything, until one day, he finds a woman there too. He asks her what she's doing there and she tells him that she's a historian.

They immediately click, and explore together. Every day, he returns there and she's already waiting and slowly, he is more excited to see her rather than to explore the temple.

She tells him legends of the past, ones he's never heard before, he writes them down.

hc that when dsmp!Phil was trying to find books regarding ressurection for Wilbur's sake he also tried to reach out to Mumza for help because who else would know how to revive someone than the Goddess of Death? but he can't reach her as long as he stays on the smp- and that's why he was so disbelieving when he saw that forest appear- Anon I'm Sad now
