The Minnesota Twins came back and beat a great Phillies team last night. They proved they can beat very good competition and Game 2 was tonight at Target Field. A pitcher's duel broke out in Minneapolis as Zack Wheeler and Simeon Woods Richardson threw up zeroes for the first six innings of play. The bullpens held up in the latter innings and the Twins couldn't plate a run with the bases loaded in the eighth. The Philllies loaded the bases in the ninth and Brandon Marsh hit a sac fly to left. Nick Castellanos plated a pair with a double to right and the Phillies took a three-run lead into the bottom of the ninth. Matt Strahm threw a 1-2-3 nith and the Phillies evened the series with a win tonight.

-Final Thoughts- Simeon Woods Richardson had the best outing of his career. He threw six shutout innings against a good Phillies lineup. He allowed three hits with a walk and five strikeouts. Jorge Alcala put up a zero in the seventh, Griffin Jax had a 1-2-3 eighth, and Jhoan Duran struggled a bit in the ninth. He gav eup three runs in 2/3 of an inning and Ronny Henriquez had to finish the inning off. The Twins had just three hits on the night and couldn't knock in a run with the bases loaded in the eighth. They hit 0-for-5 with runners in scoring position and left eight men on base. The Twins haven't announced a starter for tomorrow, but I'm thinking David Festa gets the start. He is the scheduled starter for the Saints, but the team needs someone to go long and Louie Varland threw tonight.

I get what you mean about it feeling right. Kinda how I found myself with the job to begin with, funny enough. It was when I was working some random customer service job in Philly when out of nowhere there was this loud boom and the restaurant that was in our little strip mall had caught fire. Long story short, I watched the guys that responded to the call and it was like, I don't know, a sign that I was in the wrong line of work. So I signed up for the academy immediately after that and have been a fireman ever since. Been about eight years since then. The 718 is my second station, I was in Philly for a bit at the 44 until 3 years ago. Put in the transfer and just moved back home to Bearcreek. Yeah, the commute could be a bit better, but it's not terrible really. It's a 20 minute drive, most days.

Oh, yeah, Troubletones is right here in town even, so you don't have to go far for it. Okay, yeah, that definitely helps knowing you can have fun with everything, small towns aren't as exciting as the big cities so sometimes you just gotta make your own fun. But there's still plenty to do around here, and at least it's not too far from Phillly if you really want more of that city life.

Forged a tight bond with the Co. 10 crew back in New York but I couldn't pass this chance up to further my career. How long you been a hose jockey?

I HAVE NOT! Where is it??? I'm nowhere near professional by any means but fuck. I LOVE to put on a show. I'm a big outdoorsy guy, so I'm 100% hitting up that ranch at some point. I also like to hit up the movies, go to concerts, hang at bars. Basically I find myself having a good time with just about anything, really.
