He married her in 1180 against the wishes of his mother, possibly bc of her Carolingian heritage. However, when he had a fallout with her uncle the Count of Flanders he attempted to put her aside citing the lack of heirs as reason.

This is a Joke Comic since as far as i can read the reason for the attempted split was primarily political. But given Philip’s extremely personal weird behavior with his later wives and even in modern Enlightened education age sexually active men having terrible sex ed, and his baffling explanations regarding what is and isn’t sex in the Ingeborg trials (even though it may have just been desperate legal rhetoric) i dont think this situation is completely impossible lol

il y a des tas de détails intéressants dans cette biographie, mais je dois avouer que 6 mois plus tard je pense encore surtout à cette scène où on a un peu l'impression que le régent de France gère une classe de maternelle.
