Many people been questioning me about the meaning of my tattoo on my left upper arm. The simple answer probably would be because I was born in the year of the monkey but a more profound and deeper meaning would be because the tattoo itself reminds me of my childhood and depicts „The Monkey King“ who is the protagonist of the famous classic Chinese novel. The Monkey Sun Wu Kong, who owns magical powers revolts against Heaven, and is defeated by the Buddha, is being cast out of heaven, and then, redeems himself and gains immortality by helping the monk Xuan Zang on his pilgrimage to India in search of Buddhist scriptures. 📿🕉️☸️ There has been a real person named Xuan Zang (602-664 AD), a Buddhist monk who journeyed to India in search of Buddhist sutras.  After redeeming himself, and he becomes a metaphor for bravery, loyalty, and dedication to righteousness and thus becoming a arhat. Gorgeous Red Spider Lily in its full bloom, such a beautiful flower 🌺🌺🌺 Mother Nature is definitely the best designer I know! Since these scarlet flowers usually bloom in autumn near cemeteries around the usually blooms in the autumn, they are described in Chinese and Japanese translations of the Lotus Sutra as ominous flowers that grow in Hell, (Chinese黃泉), and guide the dead into the next reincarnation. That’s why they also known as “flower of death” In Asia symbolically they are linked to final goodbyes and memory of close ones. In Buddhist written texture, red spider lilies are a way to get out of this cycle of death, rebirth and all the suffering that happens while you are still alive. Karma is the one that gives you rebirth. Bad karma in previous life will follow you in this life and it keeps coming until you find Samsara. Red Spider Lilies also show people to move on and start a new life or beginning of something fresh. I do my best to remember that everyone is on a different stage of their journey. I may be meeting them at a very difficult time. I know people met me when I was struggling. I remember days feeling so heavy that I could barely stand. I wasn’t always kind. I didn’t feel understood, and so many people feel the same at times. We heal at different paces, for some it takes hours, others it takes months or years. there isn’t a wrong way to travel your own journey.

Do have learned that sometimes "sorry" is not enough. Sometimes you actually have to change. Apologizing does not always mean that you are wrong and the other person is right. It just means that you value your relationship more than your ego. The things two people do to each other they remember. If they stay together, it's not because they forget, it's because they forgive. It takes a strong person to say sorry, and an ever stronger person to forgive. Forgiving doesn't mean forgetting, nor does it mean that you've given the message that what someone did was okay.
