"Papa! I saw uncle Lorgar wrestling with his lady wife! He licked her feet!"
On a scale of one to ten, how badly is he screwed?
1000000000/10
Poor Lorgar, Perturabo beat his ass stronger that the Emperor burn down Monarchy. Did Lorgar learn something after this incident or how Kor Phareon knew about his fetish?
No, he still forget to close the door. Poor his wife

so since i’d already told a serious oc story i figured cary got to be a clown.
teenage city guard feeds the night haunter like a stray cat and becomes a sort of robin-jim gordon hybrid to konrad’s batman. was actually probably quite relieved and hopeful for the future when the emperor showed up. this was quickly dashed as konrad had them brought along and space marine’d. (cary is specifically nonbinary with an afab body, i just like playing in this space of like… erebus and kor phareon were both adults made into psuedo space marines with augments but you’re telling me you can’t make a woman into a space marine? anyway this is a small aside, i don’t have strong opinions on fsm in canon i just think it’s neat to consider possibilities (i am also afab and high rn))
serving as basically the legion’s main equerry to everyone they became the night lords unofficial people person. this becomes funny later. they were around until konrad exploded nostramo, which they were not happy about. they yelled at konrad who then stabbed them, rendered them unconscious and stuffed into a stasis chamber. which was then mounted into an asteroid (which later became a site of night lord relic). they were brought round 10k years later and are so fucking confused.

little lorgar angst
lorgar mortal lover who manages to give him peace and love. who helps him to heal from the shit kor phareon did to him. Who acts as a positive influence on both him and the legion to the point she's beloved by even his own sons. Who manages to stir him down a path that will see monarchia and all the tradgidy born from that event never happen. And because all that will ruin the plans of Erebus and Kor, they have her killed. Thinking they will get away with this assassination. only Lorgar knows. somehow he knows it was them. So does the entire legion. And for the first time, he feels such ahtred and anger for his father... How dare they take away that which gave him such comfort? And gods help them once the rest of the legion learns their beloved mother was taken from them... Just this utter sense of quiet cold rage...
I personally always write that the main sticking point as to why someone doesn't just kill their beloved at any point is simply that, you're going to have a primarch on a rampage coming right for you. And including a legion that liked her too? The carnage that takes place would make other events pale in comparison.
I would imagine that they manage to do it while Lorgar is off planet. Either they manage to overpower the defenses he has protecting her, or they hire an assassin more than capable of sneaking by. Perhaps Erebus does it himself, he's the type.
Lorgar ends up finding out via vox, when he's light years away from Colchis. Whatever was being done is left in the hands of one of his commanders and a small fleet of marines, and he turns the Fidelitas Lex back towards Colchis. The ship is basically silent the entire time. the legion had actually begun warming up to her quite a bit, and to see their Primarch in shambles (held together for now but he's clearly cracking at the seams), it turns them all into angry, vengeful, mourning astartes; Ones eager to act upon their Primarch's orders for retribution.
When he gets back, Kor Phaeron or Erebus, perhaps both, would find it key to quickly redirect Lorgar to whoever the 'murderer' is. If they can't and Lorgar figures out it was them, I imagine it would take quite a bit for them to convince him to not wipe the floor with their heads. Though I doubt they'd be able to, given his extremely mercurial nature.
The Word Bearers end up in shames, and it's unknown if they'll ever truly recover. The other legions can only watch on and take heed.

Lorgar is the most sinister - in his Primarch novel, the end is a reveal/suggestion that actually he hasn't been manipulated by Kor Phareon, he's been letting people believe he has - best way to seem innocent is to make people blame a less subtle person. He chose Erebus, he chose to send his best to be possessed, he ordered that Kor Phareon be uplifted to near-Astartes, it's just him playing the game and being a loathsome manipulative creep.
So, while I do enjoy Bearer of the Word's reading of Lorgar as being more manipulative than he appears, and very much approve of the way he acts being a somewhat contorted mirror of both his fathers, it is also important to remember that the book is from Kor Phaeron's POV, and so his narration and way of looking at things is very much colouring the story being told. Never forget the importance of whose perspective you're reading from.
I am very much of the opinion that the truth lies somewhere in between all the things we know about him, from the novels featuring him. He is nowhere near as clever or capable as he thinks he is, but he is capable of far more than other people think he is.

You know what I don't think gets used enough platonic yandere relationships in Warhammer.
Gimme a pre emperor primarchs throwing his adopted siblings suitors out of their home, whenever they come asking for darlings hand in political marriage.
A servant in leman Russ' feasting hall not being hit on by drunks as the last man who did was beaten by Leman himself.
Perty doing something to gain the ire of Kor Phareon so the servant that tells him stories of the stars won't be whipped that night
Magnus sends nightmares to anyone actively courting you as they are a distraction to the psychic bullshit he teaches you
I just like the idea of the primarchs being like no you can date people they just have to match MY standards
I fucks with this, anon.

Just finished reading the silence and the storm (at least up to the last released chapter) by @ghostinthegallery and I'm here to gush over how much I'm in love with this amazing piece of fanfic.
Massive spoilers ahead
You can either buy tdk and tiatd or do as i did and pirate them if you're as poor as i am.
Link to the piece here if you're interested in it, and i do recommend it if you're a necron enjoyer and are dissatisfied with how GW is handling the story threads they left to rot to pursue their craving for adding more books to the Imerium's catalogue.
So, how do i start? Well, before reading this i had no interest in many of the characters that appear in it: i thought of imotekh as just another character with not much outside of his martial prowess, having never read severed i did like what i knew about zandrekh and obryon but i didn't care much for either of them, anrakyr was just a unit in the necron codexes i loved for it's rules in game but not much else, and Szarekh was barely more than an afterthought in my love for the faction. But now i cannot make any of these people stop living in my head rent free.
I was already in love with the two bickering gay nerds, trazyn and orikan were already some of my favorite characters in fiction, their rightful place as kings of my fixation only shared by the likeness of Ged, Ghost Bird, Lake and Ulrich Von Bech. But, dead gods be damned, this piece of fiction made my love for them only grow. The author did not only write them perfectly in character with how they had been written beforhand, but they enhanced their interactions, their relationship and it's evolution after serenade, writing the evolution of their rivalry in such an organic and logical way. The loving hatred they feel for each other having only growing after their escapades with the arcavios mysterios, then even more as Szeras tries to take trazyn's favorite enemy from him. The pain of seeing Orikan trying to save Trazyn from the unavoidable fury of his Phareon, Trazyn trying to convince orikan to be by his side as he preoares to convince the Nobility of his damned race to think for once. The way ghost in the gallery writes how these characters crave each other, masking their desire to see their "rival" in layers of denial that would make Zandrekh look accepting of the horror of biotransference. My heart stopped when the two departed, knowing now what the real reason for trazyn's desire to "lock" orikan in his gallery is. Orikan, stubborn bitch, desperate for trazyn's presence, even offering him the security and protection of the stormlord.
Speaking of the stormlord, i adore the way he was written. He is no mindless warmonger, he owns his titles, the fear he strikes is well deserved . Imotekh has owned more and more respect from me as the story continued, his mind is sharp and his pride is earned. I thought of him as a mere soldier, much like the nobles of his race would, but he transcends his rank, he is the storm, and every title he has collected is his. This story has made me love this man beyond what i could have ever imagined. The way he speaks commands respect, the way he acts commands fear. I loved every chapter he appeared in, the more i read of him the more i agree with phillas (i Don't remember how to write her name 💀), he might actually be a better silent king than szarekh, but at the same time, he doesn't yet understand the fear his opponent feels towards the great devourer, and i hope he does start to understand as he visit the barren planet. His visions are also quite interesting, and they explain much of his character. He was always intelligent, and biotransference only made his mind able to plan with even better calculations.
Obryon and zandrekh. I don't think i have to say much, mostly because I think they aren't describable in few words. Obryon's denial, and then his acceptance of his "hunger" made me almost tear up. I don't really understand romance in the real world, i don't really understand attraction outside of the respect i can have for someone, i understand hotness and beauty, but strictly in an aesthetic sense, I don't actually feel attracted to them much. But god, I love seeing robot romance. I don't know why, but i feel more akin to it than I feel towards any work of fiction describing human love. So i got way more invested in the mad nemesor and his loyal guard than i would have ever thought, Zandrekh's desperation as he throws himself in the frontlines, in an almost suicidal act of desperation, hoping for his "old friend" to come, Obryon's desperate need to return to his lord, and then, their reunion. Beforehand i thought of Zandrekh as just "funny mad guy", but dead gods is he so much more, the way he plans the destruction of the weapon defending the mephrit city... Scarabs, gods, scarabs. I don't think i have to add much, the old bastard won my heart, his mind is such a mystery, yet one that can be understood without needing to resolve it, and i love how he is described, his madness being less of a weakness than anyone would have thought. I need to read severed and I can't wait to see how he resolves the occupation of his planet.
So, shall i talk about Szarekh? Yes i should. Am i talking like an ogdobekh because of reasons to myself mysterious? Yes i am. Should i stop? Probably. Anyway, Szarekh is a weird one of me, because i understand him, but i don't think i would support him was i a lord casting her vote at the mot. For two reasons:
1) he is letting his dog loose, giving Szeras this much freedom to act crosses so many lines, and in his desperation Szarekh is trusting the monster with too much power. As much as his reasons for it are just and his heart is in the right place when it comes to what he wants for the necron race, he is risking hurting them once again. And Imotekh makes a good point about him, he does tend to trust in things he does not understand. The c'tans, the tyranids, Szeras.
2) he needs a fucking break, god, he has balls of ceramite for how he resisted the norn queens for so long, and what he saw would have destroyed the mind of any other necron, but god he needs a fucking break. I want to hug him and give him a warm blanked and some hot chocolate, man, heavens know he needs it.
I just now realize i am giving my opinion on these characters as if i was involved myself with the events, and i think this is a testament to how engaging this fic is.
Talking about loose dogs, Szeras, you fucking bastard, i will kill you if you dare to touch my precious babies again and i hope he gets his head shoved in a pile of ork shit. He is so well written, terrifying in every scene he appears in. I said this before and i will say it again, i fucking love this character archetype. I love to hate him and i want to see him again, possibly being dunked on by literally anyone, and I'm so happy trazyn was able to make his necrodermis shiver in rage at the trial.
Speaking of trials. My beloved, the executioner herself, is the literal manifestation of badassery and nobody can make me put those words back in my mouth. I want a 4 meters tall statue of her in my room and i love how the work makes her feel like both a threat and the best ally anyone can have. Every interaction with her and any other character is pure gold and I really want to see more of her.
Anrakyr, the traveler, my dear backstabbing powerhouse of a man, he's such an interesting character, and a melancholic one at that. He is both honourable and betraying, and i fully agree with the three oraerorians, he is interesting as hell. I honestly don't have much to say about him, i love his character and I can't wait to see him and oltyx interact. I will eagerly wait for his story to continue, until then, I'll be gushing over him saving obryon for the rest of time.
And now, a lightning round because my thumbs are getting sore:
- the tyranids are written so fucking well, they are terrifying and intriguing at the same time, i don't really understand how they're able to communicate with the crons but the way they speak is in it's own way kind of terrrifying.
- necrons have sex the exact way i wish humans did, and i am envious of them. Thank you ghost for writing one of the first scenes of this kind able to make me invested in it instead of just skipping entire paragraphs.
- the whole scene with trazyn and orikan fighting szeras in the craftworld kept me on edge the whole time and i will take inspiration from it for my own projects.
I didn't talk much about the plot because i want to see how it concludes before Saying anything, but good gods i am so invested in this whole mot situation, I can't wait to see what all our beloved bois, girls and Peeps will do.
Also, i kind of want to see borrakka appear, the red marshal would be a fun addition to the roster of characters in this story, but maybe it would be a bit excessive, i dunno, i am eager to see what happens next.
Also, the melted face dude (i suck at remembering names) is a bitch and i want him dead, wait, no, i want him in szeras' lab, yeha, that's the right punishment for that bastard. God, this story made me hate him so much and i love this feeling.
Anyway, I'm loving this thing and i can't wait for the next chapter.
This is canon for me and i will fight anyone who says it is not.
I just hope it doesn't end with the status quo restored, because so many 40k stories don't change the setting much and this story is shaking the foundation of the infinite empire so much i crave to know where it will lead to.
In any case, sorry for the rambling, and i probably forgot about something, but I'm so happy i read this and I'm making an AO3 account just so i can be notified when the next chapter is released.
An amazing read for any 40k fan
I want to draw so many scenes from this fic but I can't pick one
Ok I'll stop writing
C ya

So I meant to post this like 3,000 years ago (cue exaggeration for comedic effect), but things happened in my life and I needed to take a huge break from everything. So now that I am back I shall proceed to throw art at everyone. So here is my attempt at a ground type Eeveelution, Phareon.
This majestic Pokemon spends the majority of its time sleeping comfortably in the sun, but once anyone other than its trainer infringes on their territory, it will become quite furious.

@weatherman667 I think the reason that Slannesh has claim on Eldar Souls isn't just that they Murderfucked them into existence, but that they eat the rest of the Eldar Gods like Asuryan, basically elf zeus, and took over their portions of the Warp. So, besides them having having no where to go in the Warp now, Slaanesh by eating everyone but Isha, Khaine, and The Clown, is basically their pantheon all in one, or at least sitting in the Prince of Pleasures stomach, and it basically gives them the deed to each eldar soul. That's how I see it though.
The problem with changing the future, is that it's never set, by trying to remove one problem you may unearth a dozen more.
Though, by removing Lorgar's most poisonous influence, it'd probably make him a better person. But, he is also desperate for something to worship, so it'd be funny if Jaune accidentally converted him to worshiping his goddess, with Jaune as her prophet. For surely, something so powerful to restrain all 18(20?) primarch is worthy of veneration. Which might lead to another heresy.
As above though, no Erebus or Kor Phareon, means really no Horus heresy, or any heresy. It's just leaves angry god-manchildren.
The Khan, Dorn, RG are the most rational among the Primarchs, so they would probably dwell the most on Jaune's message, and try to future proof everything. Perhaps, even going as far
Morty would probably still be a asshole, but a not a smelly mothman, as he'd merc typhon the minute he founded out about his Nurgle worship.
Perty getting some positive attention? He'd still be insufferable, but he'd at least stay loyalist. Though, he's also petulant, the idea he was restrained by Jaune would permanetly scar his ego, and work towards making a device so that never happens again. Which will be all the funnier when it does, or whenever Jaune dies he always throws a insult his way, so that he gets steamed.
Ferrus Manus would take it in stride, he's all about strength and survival of the fitess, so the fact he got restrained and lecture means he deserved it for lacking strength, so why not take it to heart? He'd probably remove his metal hands, and work on himself and him sons.
Fulgrim ... he'd get an intervention.
Sanguinus? I think he'd work towards helping his brothers, he has the best blend of all his brothers strength, including mental fortitude and wisdom, so even if did bruise his ego, he's not one to let his ego hold him back. If anything, this might lead to a t
Magnus won't learn shit, he's too damn prideful. In fact this would make his worse, since as he knows of the dangers before him, he'll think he's now suited to face them, and we all know how this ends.
Leman isn't as prideful as he appears, he'd probably laugh the whole thing off, though maybe he'd try and offer Magnus a mead.
That's all I got,
----
My take on the RWBY/40K idea. It’s not a ‘Jaune is a Lost Primarch’ that @guardsman-of-remnant or @the-wayward-arc have, or as thought out as @weatherman667 Astartes Chapters.
Juane was a normal guy who’s planet was destroyed. Then he decides to do something about it and potentially changes the course of the galaxy.
Jaune’s early life and world was dealt a bad hand. On a planet considered backwater, ruled over by incompetent lords, an over paranoid and self-righteous Inquisitor, continually and unrightfully drained of resources, repeatedly denied aid and due process, castigated for things beyond their control, and so on. Punished for ‘refusing to pay their tithe’ despite the fact they did pay the tithe but it was attacked by pirates. There was even a time when an enterprising farmer designed a better water pump, really all he did was find an older and better model and made more. Yet somehow the Mechanichum got wind of it and declared it Technoheresy. They destroyed every model and glassed a good swathe of the planet. Those are just a couple of many examples that Jaune was alive to experience. When everyday looks like hell, the Warp starts looking pretty good. Well between a Chaos uprising and a surprise Ork Waaah, alongside the possible threat of a Tyrranid fleet, the planet was declared hopeless and Exterminatus was ordered.
However instead of dying with the rest of the system’s population, Jaune was whisked away to another dimension. A pocket realm in-between the Materium and Immaterium. This realm was reined by a goddess yet not a goddess, who also sits in a weird in between with the materium and immaterium. Said goddess was an entity from another galaxy before the War in Heaven. She started off as just another galaxy conquering dragon, but after a few zillion years that got boring. Seeing the Old Ones and their creations she decided to observe. She’s got nothing but time, so why not? Over time she became loving, a gardener, a collector, a teacher. She doesn’t interfere with the Materium much because of her overwhelming power, and her control over the Immaterium is mostly spent keeping her corner of the galaxy protected from everything else. She’s pretty hands off and lets everyone else do their own thing, hence she didn’t take part in the War in Heaven. Or much else for that matter. She likes to watch the galaxy spin and all its different paths.
In her Library Jaune finds out the truth of the Horus Heresy, along with many other Heresies and major calamaties from alternate timelines that brought the Imperium to its knees and eventual demise. Horus Heresy, Robutian, Dornian, Lion, Erebrun, each and every Heresy and their potential variations. In a desperate bid to prevent these calamities, Jaune convinces his goddess to send himself and a motley collection of volunteers back in time to just before the Great Crusade. A Suicide Squad consisting of those that the Imperium would execute on the spot: Mutants, Abhumans, Heretics, Traitors, Xenos, Abominable Intelligence, and more. I’m sure Big E would get a laugh out of the irony.
Jaune knows that he can’t do half of what he wants to do. They can’t deal with anything big, like E’s journey into the Warp, the creation of the Primarchs and Astartes, the scattering of the Primarchs, the Great Crusade, etc. He can’t just go and tell the Emperor or Malcador about this. They won’t listen first off, and then they’ll just kill him for knowing too much, trying to play with things he has no business in, or just because Jaune refuses to kiss their asses.
He can’t just go out and pick up all the Primarchs and raise them like his own sons post-scattering. They’re scattered too far apart, their homeworlds need them in some fashion, the worlds are too big and dangerous to be looking for them, the Crew is always on the move which would be bad for their personal growth, each of them are too intelligent to not notice something’s different, they grow too fast for their limited resources, and more. Not to mention the unwanted attention they’d bring themselves from Chaos and Big E. That would spell doom in no time.
What they can do is use their knowledge of what happened and what could be to alter small yet key moments. A quick bombing run to eliminate the Butcher’s Nails factories, ensuring Corvus makes it to the surface, eliminating Kor Pheron, erasing Erebrus from the equation, keeping RG’s family alive from the deamon(Robutian Heresy story), warn and prepare several civilizations of what’s coming, plant a few bugs into each of the Primarchs’ flagships regarding certain orders, and more. These guys do not get a day off. They have to move in relative secrecy because who’s going to believe them? And those who may will likely have him killed for ‘interfering with the Emperor’s will’.
He’s met with relative success in his endeavors. Angron wasn’t implanted with the Butcher’s Nails, but with a different kind of device of similar purpose. This new set wouldn’t turn Angron’s brain to soup like the Butcher’s Nails did, this set gave him a form of split personality in the same way that Bruce Banner has with the Hulk. So Angron can be either the Stalwart Paladin type he was meant to be, or the Raging Barbarian type from canon. It’s a flip of the coin with him. Give the guy some more complexity than just rage rage rage.
It eventually comes to a point where he’s too far into the game to know what to do next. He’s changed too much to know the right call. The Primarchs are all gathered and conquering systems, so trying to do anything to them is out. Chaos has to know about his meddling by now, probably the Emperor as well. Despite the anti-aging tech, he's getting too old. His entire crew has fallen one by one. He’s the last man standing in this crusade.
Out of resources, options, ideas, allies, full of desperation, Jaune decides to throw one last Hail Mary. He calls in a favor from his Goddess, and through means that I haven’t decided on, gathers all the Primarchs in one room, locks the door, glues them to their seats, and lays it all out on them.*
He explains who he is, what his mission is, the nature and rise of Chaos, large parts of the Emperor’s plan, and all that. He tells them of all the potential futures, all the Heresies, the one where E decides to make Eye of Terror 2.0, one where all the Primarchs go balls to the wall mosh pit civil war, how each of them could/did fall, the War of Heaven, the Tyrranids, Necrons, Tau, many other subfactions, potential allies, those that would’ve been very helpful but were butchered, allies in one but not another, what E has done and his potential plans, their own half Warp entity souls, lots of history, lots of secrets exposed, what Jaune and crew have done, and so on.
He doesn’t hold anything back either. He rants on about how badly humanity has fallen, how logic and reason are replaced with fanaticism, progress with stagnation, the hypocrisy, the injustice, the stagnation and corruption of the Imperium, the bloated and rotting corpse of a once great civilization, the works. He even has a nice little partial Abominable Intelligence helping him out. It puts up all sorts of data, photos, videos, recordings, etc. to supplement Jaune’s rants. Just a little guy that gives intel like how Astartesanonymous, Majorkill, Isyanderandkoda, Livefromtheblacklibrary, Wes, and them give lore explanations.
“But it’s only one guy who did a cute trick of keeping us in our seats and talks a lot, why should we believe him?” Sorry to do this to you Sanguinius, but he just casually drops the fact that your legion suffers from the Blood Thirst in front of everyone. The thing that you fought so hard to keep quiet from everyone and only a few even within your Legion knew about? Yeah that’ll get your attention, along with everyone else’s given how badly you react. Dropping a couple less dangerous secrets from the Lion’s assortment of secrets is also on the table. Pretty sure Alpharius wouldn’t mind getting pointed out as the actual first Primarch recovered, #sarcasm. He drops a little skeleton from each of their closets in front of everyone.
Suffice to say he isn’t going to be invited to any family cookouts after this.
He calls out each of them on their critical failures, dangerous shortcomings, hypocritical mindests, how easily they fell to Chaos, all the ways Papa E screwed up and is still screwing up, and more. All while calling them the stupid nicknames the Crew used. Mufasa, Simba, Long Johnson, for the Lion. Rowboat Girlyman, Bobby G, Robot Gorrillaman, for Robute. Fido, Balto, Scruffy, for Leman. And so on. He only calls them by their proper names once, at the very beginning when he was introducing himself and being respectful.
Is it smart to insult a room of the most powerful people in the galaxy and their daddy? Or talk down to them like the emotionally immature people they are? No. If it weren’t for the Goddess favor pinning them to their seats and disabling their gear and abilities he’d be dead and he knows that. They try to use their Primarch Aura on him, but after however long serving his Goddess he’s relatively immune to it. And he’s in such a IDGAF mindset that the most they get out of him is a raised eyebrow. It’d take one of the Chaos Gods’ or the Big E’s aura to really make him shake.
However pointing out flaws without a solution is just bitching. He gives credit where credit is due. He offers help and suggestions to a lot of their problems. He asks everyone to start appreciating Perty a little more, tells the Prophecy duo to get together and speak with some Farseers about their visions, commends the achievements of the Builder Brothers and ways to make their stuff even better, etc. He gives them self-help books, some psychiatric care books, and some insights from various sources to help out with some of their more human problems. God knows E isn’t helping them out with any of this.
Jaune had the foresight to make volumes of his findings. He drops many encyclopedias worth of books in front of them, all scaled up in size for their convenience. They hold everything. Names, dates, quotes, specifications, supply lines, blueprints, maps, numbers, persons of interest, items of interest, planets of interest, deamons of interest, xenos of interest, xenos that are beneficial to the galaxy and the Imperium, xenos that Leman can have fun exterminating, xenos that must be protected, xenos that can be uplifted, xenos that are up in the air, events that could happen, things that Jaune prevented from happening, nothing was left out. Not just books pertaining to the Primarchs and their dealing with Chaos, as both opponents and slaves to it, either. He also dumped books detailing events from the various futures for the next 10 millennia. Greatest victories, worst defeats, the breaking of the Legions, Successor Chapters, betrayals, redemptions, plots, plots within plots, the power of Faith, the detriments and benefits of groups like the Inquisition and Ecclesiarchy, the strength of character in Xenos races, and on and on and on. The Primarchs have quite a bit of reading to do.
Don’t worry Lemon Rush, you can still have your fun hunting down Xenos. Here’s a stack of books detailing all those filthy Xenos that are detrimental to the Imperium and galaxy at large! This lists where they are, what danger they pose, what their biology is, how best to kill them, and so on. Have fun!
Guilliman, here’s a stack for you regarding Xenos that are good guys that could use a hand. Vulcan, here’s a buncha worlds that could really use your more human touch. Horus, these worlds are major players so will be better won with your diplomacy. And so on.
So what is the Primarchs reaction? Do they accept the things he’s said? Do they bring this intelligence to the Emperor and Malcador? Do they take a hard look at themselves and decide to do better? Do they throw themselves at the feet of Chaos? Do they slow down the Crusade to better reinforce the reclaimed worlds? Do they help each other overcome their weaknesses and petty grievances so Chaos has less of a foothold on their souls? Do they exacerbate their flaws? Do they watch each other’s backs for Chaotic influence? Do they start training their Sons in Astartes vs Astartes combat? Astartes vs Chaos combat? Do they purge the corrupt members of their legions? Do they decide to eradicate the dangerous Xenos while uplifting the benevolent ones? Do they go hard in ways to better the Imperium? Do they become the mindless tools that E wanted them to be? Do they start to stand up to the Emperor and call him out on his shit when he needs it?
Jaune has no idea what they decided, or what any of their thoughts were. After he drops everything on them, gives them the books and AI, he walks out the door. His only thoughts were getting blackout drunk and working on the next step after the hangover. That particular conversation never left that room as far as he’s concerned or aware. He’s fully expecting any one of them to turn him into a red mist for his attitude, or a visit from the Banana Squad for a ‘chat’. He doesn’t even care what happens to him now.
He doesn’t even manage to find a bottle before he’s in trouble. He’s hit from the side, a mortal wound that kills slowly and painfully. However his attacker isn’t anyone from any branch of the Imperium. A deamon has been hunting him and his crew ever since he came back to the past. This is the thing that’s been orchestrating the deaths of his friends one by one. It’s very proud of its work and monologues like a cartoon villain. He just saved Jaune for last since he’s the leader. Something about helplessly watching as your friends are picked off as you can do nothing.
Taking this as confirmation that Jaune was doing the right thing he gets up for one last go. As noble as he is he can be a spiteful little shit, so he’s not going down without a fight. Jaune uses a single word of Enuncia to banish the demon, however his previous injuries and the power of the word kills him at the same time.
This is a good ending right? Did everything he could, gave those who hold the galaxy in their hands everything they need to keep things going right, gave a big middle finger to Chaos, the Emperor, and the demon, and died an unsung hero. Good place for retirement right?
However Jaune’s not done! The word quit doesn’t exist in his dictionary, especially when he knows that he was making a difference. Or was at least enough of a thorn in Chaos’ side to warrant a personal Demon after him. He reject’s his Goddess’ offer of a peaceful afterlife to go back for more. He’s a sucker for suffering sometimes. He crawls his way through the warp to be reborn in an Avatar type way. His DNA is identical, he holds the same kind soul and indomitable spirit, but he’s a fresh slate in everything else. The ‘current Jaune’ doesn’t know anything about the potential futures, his past lives, or any of that. The most that his original past self, the ‘original Jaune’, can do is subconsciously nudge him in what should be the right direction. Eventually the Demon, which I dub Little Timmy, comes back from the Warp to kill him again. To which Jaune’s original soul takes over in a sense, like how Ozma fights alongside his current host and body, and the two die in a draw yet again. Then he crawls back through the Warp to be reborn yet again, and so the cycle repeats.
Jaune does most everything during this series of cycles. Was an Astartes for each of the legions at least once even the Lost 2, guardsman, Commisar, Rouge trader, mechanicum, planetary lord, bounty hunter, Psyker, Blank, anything and everything as long as it wasn’t under E’s direct oversight like the Inquisition, Assassinorum, Custodes, and the like. Not to say he hasn’t tangoed with and against such organizations over the cycles.
Despite having the same face and dna, he’s missed completely by those in the know. Besides the fact his Goddess is blocking certain figures’ sight from recognizing him properly, think how just a piece of fabric over the eyes works for most heroes identities, he’s just one guy in trillions of trillions in that particular sector. They might have an idea of ‘that guy seems familiar’ in a déjà vu kind of way, but easily dismiss it. How common are blue eyed blonde dudes? The only confirmation that the Primarchs get that Jaune has been reborn again is during or after his fight with Little Timmy. Jaune leaves a message or calls them or whatever, and the original soul makes sure he calls them by one of the stupid nicknames from the chew out session. Who else would have the balls to call Ferrus Manus Tin Can Sam, or can tell the difference to know which TweedleTwin he’s talking to? Not like they can do much by the time/if they get the message, he died in the duel again. They’re lucky to find parts of his body from the fight. Little Timmy tends to desire a lot of collateral whenever possible, and Jaune isn’t always the roided up transhuman super soldier to trade blows so he has to get creative when he fights.
*As everyone else is stuck to their chairs, Jaune is standing on the table to look them in the eyes and move around easier. Also allows him to move close enough to the Primarchs to drop the reading material in front of them, but not close enough to be grabbed. It’s a funny image, but couldn’t find a spot where it would fit so here it is.
~
I have no idea where some of this should go, but I know that it should be a mess of things anyway because it’s 40K. As much as I don’t want any of the Primarchs taken by Chaos now that they have guidebooks on what to look out for and just how fucked that would be if they do, I can see a few of them falling anyway. Fulgrim for instance. I can see him taking the Laer Blade just to try and show Jaune that ‘Oh look, I guess you were wrong and I am strong enough to carry a demonic blade and not get corrupted!’ That’s the reason he talked down to you like a child, ya Purple Nurple! I love the idea of Snakegrim and Clonegrim duking it out, a duel of both loyalties and ideals. Although from what I hear from the various fangroups I’m in we probably won’t see that. Dangit GW. You’re missing a trunkful of easy money.
I’m not sure how the other Primarchs should be affected by Jaune’s meddling either. Angron was just an easy picking on how to change things up.

“Honestly, I imagine that Traitor Primarch is Lorgar. But there's caveats I'll touch on when I get there”
I would like to add onto that and say that the biggest caveat to dating Lorgar is probably that you’ll be interacting with Kor Phaeron. You’ve written about that in some of your Lorgar fics, and I just know that despite Lorgar telling him to not talk about it (or especially, mention it around you) he would haaaaate the reader so much.
It’s almost like he’s linking up to a warp hivemind of every toxic mother/father-in-law that has ever existed. He can’t be mean to you directly, because Lorgar will find out. He can’t kill you, because Lorgar would definitely know that he did it. So he has to just sit there and watch as his son falls even deeper in love with someone who adores him and genuinely cares for him, while he’s left to sulk in the background (As he should).
Perhaps Lorgar decides to take you on a low-risk diplomatic mission of some kind. And perhaps he suggests that you should be present while he speaks to the leaders of that planet. He gives you the finest of clothing to wear, which turns out, matches his own! Except his is a bit more intricate, you surmise it’s because he’s got to be the center of attention. The cuffs of his sleeves are decorated with beadwork, golden bracelets and necklaces adorn his form, rolls of scripture hang off the side of his belt. But the thing you’re most entranced by is the beautiful veil he’s decided to wear, the fabric’s wonderful colour that’s complimented by the intricate embroidery woven into it, the embroidered script glittering in the light like stars in the night sky. You can’t parse out what it means though, so you conclude it must have some sort of religious significance.
You don’t know what it means. But you know who does? Phaeron. And he’s far more acquainted with Colchisian traditions than you are. So when his son not only arrives to a diplomatic mission with you in tow, but also wearing clothing with writing that very famously symbolises future engagement and marriage?! Ohhhh he’s beyond pissed. He’s going to have a long talk (shouting match) with Lorgar after this, wherein Lorgar will make the very solid argument that he is an adult and can choose to do whatever he wants with his life, even if that involves marrying someone that his father doesn’t approve of. (Kor Phaeron is now planning on wearing white to your wedding)
It may be a sci-fi romance to you. But to Kor Phaeron it’s a sci-fi tragedy. And to the astartes that bear witness to this situation it’s a comedy that’s been running for multiple seasons. “Hey everyone! Check out how grandpa punched a hole in the wall after being told that he can’t talk shit about our father’s spouse!”
Oh hey, you hit the button inside my mind that said LORGAR THOUGHTS DON'T TOUCH, so now I get to go apeshit.
Sorry in advance :3
Everything in this is GN!Reader apart from one use of the word 'temptress'
₊ ⊹٠ ࣪⭑⊹₊ ⋆₊ ⊹٠ ࣪⭑⊹₊ ⋆
I feel like given Kor Phaeron and how much he tried (and honestly succeeded) to mold Lorgar into the perfect vessel for his own ambitions, he would not take Lorgar having another voice in his ear sitting down.
At first he might 'entertain' the idea because he thinks that Lorgar will eventually grow bored and you'll get thrown to the wayside- that's he's just experimenting with the frivolity that is love and he'll get over it. But when he doesn't, when he listens to you more and more, perhaps he starts even venting to you, walking through what he needs to do next, and you're given the opportunity to plant seeds of doubt in his mind (you're just being nice and comforting him, but with Kor Phareon's mind being warped by his own delusions he cannot see something as simple as selflessness) he's not going to stand for that.
Kor Phaeron is one of those 'i will use my son as a puppet to be ruler', types as he instilled Lorgar with a god complex, but he also knows that there would be a massive riot from Colchis if he ever took over. So he rules from the background, and he won't let anyone, especially someone who's becoming the figurative apple of Lorgar's eye get in the way.
Meanwhile throughout all of Kor Phaeron's internal meltdowns and scheming, Lorgar is thriving. This guy is absolutely head of heels in love, and can't spend more than a waking moment apart from you. It's not fading either, as over time you rise higher and higher in rank, closer to Lorgar, and while you may not have any official place or title, people have begun uttering the word consort.
While he has been very vocal to anyone who can listen and the Astartes underneath him, any time he tries to instill doubts they largely don't stick. Whispers of Temptress spread largely from Kor Phaeron's most steadfast loyalists, but not enough to take a significant root that he can garden.
Throughout all of this as you've implied Kor Phaeron will not shut up about this, and will constantly try to 'right' Lorgar. Get him to abandon these insane ideas. If he want's someone to just keep his bed warm then that's Lorgar's personal business, but things like marriage? The stunt he pulled on that planet? Bringing you to a diplomatic meeting, drowning you in gifts? He's going to pop a neural link during the screaming match that inevitably ensues.
But I think that most of the Word Bearers would be pretty on board with Lorgar's significant other. I think that they have faith in their sovereign picking someone who is 'worthy' of him. And it's been established that the Word Bearer Astartes interact with baseline humans a decent bit, so it's not as if they're one of the more pompous of the chapters. I mean they are, they're Astartes, but in comparison to other chapters.
So most ill will isn't necessarily coming from them. They're pleasant to be around, and you enjoy them. They seem to feel the same, at least on a surface level. (So they'll for sure defend you or your name from grandpa Kor Phaeron's absolutely unhinged schemes)
There will definitely be some who are displeased however, particularly ones close to Kor Phaeron. So perhaps you should be careful.
-- Anyways, here's a drabble. No warnings apart from Kor Phaeron being a turbodouche. Apologies I only reread this once during a communications class.
₊ ⊹٠ ࣪⭑⊹₊ ⋆₊ ⊹٠ ࣪⭑⊹₊ ⋆
The entire Fidelitas Lex can feel it.
The tension.
Lorgar Aurelian is on the bridge watching Colchis come closer as they dock, and Kor Phaeron stands not far away. He watches as well, and both of them sport the same neutral expression that poorly veils their true emotions underneath.
They are both furious, overwhelmingly hot faced, but don't say a single word. To each other nor anyone around them. The air between them, that Primarch aura emanating unfettered rage barely held in check, has even the servitors swaying their paths to give them a good breadth of space.
Lorgar turns to leave, and return to the fortress he calls his home. Kor Phaeron follows behind roughly ten minutes later, the only noise he makes being the whirs of his armor and a sharp cough.
Lorgar arrives at his personal writing room first, looking out the window. He knows what's coming, he can hear the footsteps; The ones that sound different from the Astartes, about seven minutes after he arrived here. He had seven minutes of time alone.
The door opens, and closes with a sharp slam. Lorgar turns his head just enough to look over his shoulder at his pater, of whom is pursing his lips and trying to find the right words. He always chooses his words carefully, particularly when speaking to his surrogate son. His mercurial nature has never changed, and part of him wonders if it was instilled in him from his creation.
"You..."
He doesn't stammer, but stops to take a breath and keep his hands firmly to his sides instead of erupting into a fury of words and insults. As much as he might desire to.
I do not know where I could've gone wrong with you-" Lorgar can think of more than a few ways. Kor Phaeron raises his shoulders with a sharp intake of breath and continues.
"But that, stunt, was inane. You bring shame to the entire L-" Lorgar interrupts him and throws his hand as if trying to brush away his words.
"You do not dare tell me I bring shame to my own Legion. I have done nothing but what I thought was right."
Kor Phaeron sharply exhales through his nose. Even since Lorgar fell in love- at least he assumes that's what Lorgar thinks this is- he's been uncontrollable. Before he could offer his advice, his guidance to help him steer his legion, his Gospel, but now he acts as if he's just that lost young boy again.
"No; You did want you wanted. If you want to toy with mortals, very well. But do not embarrass us all."
He seems to be conveniently ignoring that your good will and pleasant attitude had been very helpful in speeding along a negotiation of planetary relinquishment that had previously been at risk of falling apart at the seams. Lorgar may have a bit of a silver tongue, but he is a Primarch, and when speaking to baseline humans, sometimes another is what's needed. Then again, he can't remember a time when his pater has ever said your name, so he supposes he can't be surprised.
He remembers how perfect you'd looked, dressed in the gifts he'd given you looking like a art piece given life. When you'd smiled at him, it was like you'd set his heart ablaze. He wishes to do nothing more than to show you off to anyone who lives.
He's already doing so, and if all goes to plan, you'll be with him on his next return to Terra. It will be your first time on the jewel of the galaxy, and he's nothing but eager to show you things that only he can. Not even Kor Phaeron will stop him from marrying you, if that is what he wishes to do.
Standing fully upright Lorgar stands up to his surrogate father, not intent on being trampled like a child.
"I will do what I want in this regard. This is something I will not take your advice in."
He leaves no room for argument, and Kor Phaeron knows that if he pushes it, he'll risk tearing some of the trust he's built up. If he lets it go, he can return with another strategy at another time.
Perhaps he can go about this some other way. He won't rule out removing you from the situation if Lorgar continues to insist on tailing you like a street dog.
Lorgar knows that his father isn't done with this either, but Kor Phaeron simply gathers himself and leaves the room, passing guards in his wake.
