Refutation of Shaikh Muhammad al-Junagarhi (d. 1941 CE) رحمه الله (Urdu Translator of the Meanings of the Quran in Urdu published by KSA) & Ahlul Hadeeth scholars of India, upon the Shirk of the founders of Jamaat Ghuraba (Urdu Book: Zil Muhammadi Pg. 23)
Imam of the Ghuraba & his blind-followers have opened the door to shirk
Gentlemen! A treatise called "Zil Muhammadi" aka "Imamat Muhammadi" has been presented before you. This will make the reality of Imaamate Shariah clear to you and the deception of counterfeit & fake Imams will be opened. And ladies, read & save yourself from fake imams & save others too.
Also, the more dangerous problem is their polytheistic incantations (shirkiya mantra aur jantar) for hocus-pocus sorcery (dam jhaadh). This sect is the follower of Maulvi Abdul Wahhab Sahib Sadri & his son Maulvi Abdul Sattaar (as-Sattaar is not amongst the names of Allah). Maulvi Abdul Wahhab continued to publish it for a long time in his life. Finally died without repentance. After him, his son Maulvi Abdul Sattar also has the same attitude. Therefore, read the words of Maulvi Sahib and his son from their scriptures. He sets up a question & then writes the answer himself as follows:
Q: Is it permissible or not, to use the polytheistic words (shirkiya alfaaz) to cure the bite of snakes & dogs etc.?
A: It is not better, yes, if it is necessary for the well-wishing of a Muslim, there is no harm in it. According to saying (Qawl) the Prophet ﷺ
“من استطاع منکم ان ینفع اخاہ فلیفعل”
(Fath) (Saheefa Month of Ramadan Mubarak, year 45)
The title of this book bears the signature of Maulvi Abdul Wahhab as the owner & the signature of Maulvi Abdul Jalil as the editor. And Maulvi Abdul Sattar's signature as Mufti is as follows. Mufti Abu Muhammad Abd al-Sattar Ghafrullah al-Gaffar al-Muhajiri. In this case, these three men agree & participate in these polytheistic incantations (shirkiya dum jhad).
When this fatwa came before the people to read it, people asked Maulvi Abd al-Wahhab that the Ahle Hadeeth and polytheism? Is it not enough to pray for those who have been bitten by dogs & scorpions and bewitched by the verses of the Holy Qur'an & the prayers of the hadiths? From which this man (Janaab) had to accept the curse of shirk?
On this Maulvi Abd al-Wahhab Sahib went several steps further and said thus:
There is no harm if a non-Muslim or a Muslim (who remembers any ruqyah from the age of Jahiliyyah) cures with polytheistic incantations, the one bitten by poisonous animals such as snakes, scorpions, dogs, etc. But this permissibility is not everywhere at all times, but where other remedies are impossible, i.e. where there is no other Muslim person, or if there is, he does not know the Duaa Mathura, or he knows the Duaa Mathura, but is unable to use the Duaa Mathura. So Surah Fatiha is a cure for every disease. Muawadhatayn is a great ruqyah. But the bewitched person whose charm is buried, until these verses are recited on him, there is no benefit until this buried charm is removed. So when the Messenger of Allah ﷺ was bewitched, the angels sent by Allah came to him & told him that he was bewitched inside such & such things in such & such a well. So he took out that spell & saw that his hair had been taken & knotted. While reciting one verse of Muawadhatayn at a time, Allah Almighty gave him complete healing.
It is worth considering here that at that time, Jibreel (عَلَيْهِ ٱلسَّلَامُ) told him ﷺ that magic is buried in such & such a place. But today, when Jibreel (peace be upon him) does not come & tell us, inevitably, a magician who is familiar with this work will have to play with him. And now it is obvious that magicians make polytheistic words & shameful actions, and this thing is forbidden. But it is permissible in case of such helplessness & compulsion. (Saheefah Delhi, Month of Jumadi al-Thani year 46)
Gentlemen! You should carefully look at these words of theirs. Muslims & non-Muslims are being allowed polytheistic incantations (Shirkiya Alfaaz se Jhaadh Phook) to be used, while they are denying healing from the Holy Qur'an. Reciting Surah Fatehah (Al-Hamdu Sharif) & Surah al-Falaq & Surah an-Naas are being called useless, he says that there is no benefit from them. (May Allah forgive us)
On the other hand, they are giving the status of Hazrat Jibreel (عَلَيْهِ ٱلسَّلَامُ) to magicians.
When Maulvi Abd al-Wahhab's rebellion reached this extent, these scriptures of Maulvi Abd al-Wahhab were presented to the scholars of Ahl al-Hadith by the Ahl al-Hadith people of Delhi and they were asked what they should say about such a person. Do not these passages of the scriptures open the doors of Shirk Allah? Also, what is your fatwa regarding such a person?
On which the scholars gave the above unanimous fatwa that:
"These words are polytheism & blasphemy. Maulvi Abd al-Wahhab should repent & unite with them, otherwise Muslims should cut ties with them."
The names of the scholars who issued a fatwa regarding them as polytheists are:
Maulana Syed Abul Hasan Sahib, Nubairah Hadhrat Mian Sahib Dehlavi رحمه الله
Maulana Abdul Rahman Sahib Mubarakpuri رحمه الله
Maulana Sanaullah Sahib Amritsari رحمه الله
Maulana Abdul Wahid Sahib Ghaznavi رحمه الله
Maulana Muhammad Dawood Sahib Ghaznavi
Maulana Muhammad Ismail Sahib Gujranwala
Maulana Abul Qasim Sahib Banarsi رحمه الله
Maulana Muhammad Yusuf Sahib Faizabadi رحمه الله
Maulana Ahmadullah Sahib Muhaddith رحمه الله
Maulana Sharafuddin Sahib Muhaddith رحمه الله
Maulana Muhammad Younis Sahib Qureshi Dahlavi رحمه الله
Maulana Hafiz Abdullah Sahib Rooparee
Maulana Abdul Tawab Sahib Multani
Maulana Muhammad Sahib Surti رحمه الله Professor Jamia Millia
Maulana Abdul Wahhab Arvi
Maulana Abdul Ghafoor Sahib Ghaznavi رحمه الله
Maulana Muhammad Hussain Sahib Ghaznavi رحمه الله
Maulana Ubaidullah Sahib Attawi رحمه الله
Maulana Abdul Hakeem Sahib Muhaddith Naseerabadi رحمه الله
Maulana Abdul Ghani Sahib of Jodhpur رحمه الله
Maulana Hakeem Hafiz Ubaid-ur-Rehman Sahib رحمه الله Umarpuri
And others, numbering a total of 61.
See “Muttafiqah Fatawa Ulama Ahle Hadeeth, published by Army Press, Delhi." (Unanimous Fatawa of Scholars of Ahl-e-Hadith)
But the fatwas of these scholars did not have any effect on Maulvi Abdul Wahhab. And they came down to their Maulavit (Priesthood) & remained adamant on shirk.

Future Scope of Energy Management in India
We can say that power in the form of fossil fuel has been the most crucial components for the welfare of civilizations. The unceasing demand for electricity is only expected to increase in the coming years. Yet, energy is one of the most basic needs for our existence. And the energy sector carries the potential to change the way we live.
We know that oil reserves and natural energy sources are limited, which makes it necessary to consider alternative sources of power and ways to make it accessible to people.
Even so, our government has been highly focused on obtaining ‘power for all’. To see this demand met, it’s necessary we begin putting to use efficient strategies for generating, managing and sustaining energy and setting up more installations for power generation. The finances, logistics and man-power as assets of the competitive energy market have been lagging far behind as well. The energy sector in India requires new and innovative ideas to meet the demands of an energy efficient India.
In such a scenario, there exists opportunities for the strategic thinker, namely energy management courses. A course in Energy Management is a step you could take if you wish to develop managerial skills in dealing with business-related activities in the energy sector. Having this degree will open up the door to vast career opportunities in the energy business.
You will apply your ideas into preserving the environment, managing energy, helping train, and effectively negotiating within the field. Energy professionals are responsible for power auditing, environmental impact assessment, power resource management, assessing the viability of alternative energy resources and scaling down costs. Not only that, you can also go into consulting, researching and analyzing. This is a course to be in if you are keen at utilizing your analytical skills in the energy business.
You will find quite a few colleges that offer renewable energy management courses in India. But you should look into the NTPC School of Business (NSB) if you are curious about the course. It is one of the best colleges for energy management in Delhi. The NSB offers a PG Diploma in Energy Management, which is a two-year, full time, residential programme. They also offer a PGDM-Executive, which includes twelve months of classroom teaching and three months of project work.
Designed by the experienced professors at IIM Ahmedabad, the course has a highly interactive approach to learning. You could gain significant benefits from a course like this such as, being prepared for critical analysis and applying skills to real business situations. You can also learn the combination of basics of the management with industry expertise as well as practical understanding through internship and field visits.
Currently, India is one of the largest consumers of energy. The demands of energy could increase to 50% over the next 20 years. At the same time, the energy sector needs new theories for energy generation, management, and sustainability. Perhaps you could be one of those that help make an energy efficient India.

50 years of Mammootty: Why the superstar shows no signs of slowing down
The popular Malayalam actor’s career reflects the importance of being earnest, as he continues to work hard and evolve, even after 50 years in the industry
Fifty years of shining bright on the silver screen has not dimmed the lustre of Mammootty, aka Muhammad Kutty Panaparambil Ismail. On August 6, 1971, Mammootty, then a lanky student of Maharaja’s College in Kochi, made his debut as an actor in a blink-and-miss appearance in film director KG Sethumadhavan’s Anubhavangal Paalichakal. Mammootty reappeared on the screen in 1980 in a small role in Vilkkanundu Swapnangal (Dreams for Sale), written by MT Vasudevan Nair and directed by Azad. Also Read | Get ‘First Day First Show’, our weekly newsletter from the world of cinema, in your inbox. You can subscribe for free here It was the late IV Sasi’s movies, many written by T Damodaran and MT Vasudevan Nair, that catapulted Mammootty into a superstar. Seema, Sasi’s wife, who acted with Mammootty in several blockbusters, recalls meeting him on the set of Sphodanam in 1981. “I liked his confidence and wondered who he was. I was told he was a newcomer called Mammootty. I went across and met him and told him that I liked the way he carried himself,” she says.
MT Vasudevan Nair and Mammootty | Photo Credit: Ragesh K She recalls complimenting her husband for casting him in Trishna (1981). Seema and Mammootty worked in classics such as Anubandham, Aaalkoottathil Thaniye, Adiyozhukkukal, Aksharangal etc. all scripted by Jnanapith winner MT Vasudevan Nair. “Recently, I saw One, his latest release. I called up Sulu, Mammootty’s wife, and told her how much I enjoyed the film. Sulu continues to be a good friend and we keep in touch,” says Seema. One of Mammotty’s early characters to get noticed was that of police officer named Jacob Eraly in KG George’s masterpiece Yavanika. Jalaja, who played the lead in the film, talks about a serious actor who used to drive down from Kochi every day to the sets of Yavanika in Thiruvananthapuram as he was shooting simultaneously for two films. “Most of Mammootty’s scenes were in the night where he was shown questioning the suspects. His dedication towards his work was evident. Even then he was getting a number of roles.” In the meantime, Mammootty and director Joshiy struck a golden partnership that produced many of his mega hits, beginning with Aarathri (1983) and films that covered different genres such as New Delhi, Nirakootu, Shyama, Nair Saab, No.20 Madras Mail and Kuttettan.
When the actor was at his busiest, he got a call from auteur Adoor Gopalakrishnan for Anantharam (1987). “It was not the lead and I told him that. But it hardly mattered to him. He came up with a superb act. Then he played the lead in Mathilukal (written by Vaikom Mohammed Basher), for which he won his first National award for Best Actor (along with Hariharan’s Oru Vadakkan Veeragatha). He told me that he considered himself fortunate to play the role of Basheer while the writer was still there,” says Adoor. Vidheyan, the third film that Adoor and Mammootty teamed up, bagged the actor his second National award for Best Actor. “It was an anti-hero role. As soon as I called Mammootty, he said ‘yes’. He asked if he could read the screenplay. Mammootty is the only actor in my films who has read a screenplay of mine before the film began. The film required him to cut his hair short. I was right there to ensure that his hair was cropped almost to his scalp,” says Adoor. Praising his discipline, Adoor says the halo of a ‘star’ was nowhere visible when Mammootty faced the camera. “Even at his peak as a superstar, here was an actor who was keen on doing offbeat films and enjoyed pushing himself to breathe life into his role,” adds the auteur.
Like nobody
During the Eighties and Nineties, Mammootty worked in several back-to-back films under the helmsmanship of PG Viswambharan, J Sasikumar, Padmarajan, Lohitadas and so on. Mammootty has also worked with Bharathan, KG George, Sibi Malayil, Shaji N Karun, Lohitadas and Shyamaprasad with equal felicity. He also went on to act in Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, Hindi and an English film on Dr Ambedkar. Mammootty’s family dramas, a favourite of his fans, saw him personify patriarchal family values that came to be identified with several of his characters in films such as Vatsalyam, Arayannegalude Veedu, Valyettan, Chronic Bachelor and scores of similar films. Film director Ranjith, another filmmaker who gave Mammootty some of his memorable roles in the recent past, says the veteran is someone who never lets seniority stand in the way of making a good film. Pranchiyettan & The Saint, Paleri Manikyam: Oru Pathirakolapathakathinte Katha, Puthen Panam and more were some of the duo’s films that worked at the box office. “Mammootty has this talent to speak different dialects in Malayalam and I doubt if there is anyone in the industry who has done so many with such perfection,” says Ranjith. He recounts fondly how the actor worked without any remuneration in Kaiyoppu because he liked the character and how Mammootty told him he would co-produce Pranchiyettan... when Ranjith told him he was producing the film under his banner.
Mammootty's click of Adoor Gopalakrishnan with his favourite cinematographer Mankada Ravi Varma on the sets of ‘Mathilukal’ | Photo Credit: Special arrangement Ranjith believes Mammootty is that rare actor who is willing to work with people who think out of the box. He has no qualms in reaching out to anyone, who he hears, is doing an interesting film. “In fact, he notices the crew on the set and the minute he sees someone with promise, he asks them when they plan to write or direct and to keep in touch with him,” says Ranjith. Lal Jose (Oru Maravathoor Kanavu), Lohitadas (Bhoothakkannadi), Anwar Rashid (Rajamanikyam), Aashiq Abu (Daddy Cool), Blessy (Kazhcha), Amal Neerad (Big B) and Martin Prakkat (Best Actor) are among those who turned directors with a Mammootty film. “It was Mammookka who made me a director. I was the cinematographer of Ranjith’s Mammootty-starrer Black and was set to return to Mumbai where I was working. Once the film was over, out of the blue, Mammookka told me to call him when I have a project to direct,” says Amal, whose first film with him was Big B.
The way forward
Bheeshmaparvam, Mammootty’s new film for release, is also directed by Amal and Big B is scheduled to have a sequel. Amal says although Big B was panned initially, it became a cult classic among a new generation of film-goers. “Unlike previous films of the actor, there was almost no melodramatic speeches. His role was that of a cold man who spoke few words and he did it so well,” adds Amal.
Showing no signs of slowing down, Mammootty is busy listening to scripts and working. A strict diet and a fitness regimen have ensured that the 69-year-old actor looks younger than many of his juniors in the industry. The tech-crazy actor has always kept himself abreast of technology in cinema. A keen photographer, Adoor has talked about his excellent photographic skills. Also well known is his craze for automobiles of which he has a huge collection. As 2021 confines cinema largely to OTT platforms, Mammootty has been waiting in the wings for reopening of theatres to enliven the big screen again with his characters. About 1.5 million laid-off workers applied for U.S. unemployment benefits last week, evidence that many Americans are still losing their jobs even as the economy appears to be slowly recovering with more businesses partially reopening.
The latest figure from the Labor Department marked the 10th straight weekly decline in applications for jobless aid since they peaked in mid-March when the coronavirus hit hard. Still, the pace of layoffs remains historically high.
The total number of people who are receiving unemployment aid fell slightly, a sign that some people who were laid off when restaurants, retail chains and small businesses suddenly shut down have been recalled to work.

Coronavirus in US Latest Updates
Alarming rise in virus cases as states roll back lockdowns
States are rolling back lockdowns, but the coronavirus isn’t done with the U.S.
Cases are rising in nearly half the states, according to an Associated Press analysis, a worrying trend that could intensify as people return to work and venture out during the summer.
In Arizona, hospitals have been told to prepare for the worst. Texas has more hospitalized COVID-19 patients than at any time before. And the governor of North Carolina said recent jumps caused him to rethink plans to reopen schools or businesses.
There is no single reason for the surges. In some cases, more testing has revealed more cases. In others, local outbreaks are big enough to push statewide tallies higher. But experts think at least some are due to lifting stay-at-home orders, school and business closures, and other restrictions put in place during the spring to stem the virus’s spread.

How the Male Gaze Affects Queer and Lesbian Content in the 21st Century
Charlie Myer
So, I don’t like Marvel movies. Okay, okay. Chill out. I used to like them back when I was, like, 15, but after realising that a lot of them were the same structured conventions with just different men as the heroes. I wanted the women to be the heroes, and for characters to be queer. As well as the influx of male protagonists, I noticed that I wasn’t really the main audience. Men were the main audience, which is why there was this imbalance of female heroes and non-heterosexual sexuality.
The ‘male gaze’ is a commonly used term to describe content that is primarily made for men, despite the misrepresentation and/or sexuality of the female form. This phrase was coined by film theorist and feminist, Laura Mulvey. The more that male gaze has been identified and criticised in feminist theory, the less film-makers try to make it obvious, and instead attempt to widen their target audience. Times have changed since Mulvey’s original article on the Visual Pleasures, and female led films that showcase the character as more than just a prize to be won are much more common. In a 2005 interview with Roberta Sassatelli, however, Mulvey redefines the gazes as having evolved from the 70’s and instead have “become more attached to the dynamic of sexuality,” rather than specifically just gender (Sassatelli, pg. 130).
Although I agree with this, I believe both are still very much in place, but in a different way than Mulvey stated in the past. I believe it is important to advance these discussions to include the gender diverse community and how fetishization has impacted the male gaze theory in different forms of media than Mulvey originally mentioned. I will go into more detail on this in a moment.
Taking it back to cisgender females, sexuality has absolutely taken over as the main form of the male gaze in a more outward and explicit way than any time previously before the 21st Century. By incorporating differing sexual orientations, we can widen our view on this to look further into how “the body in everyday life is very different from the body circulated in images” (Sassatelli, pg. 132). Examples of the male gaze affecting representation of the female body through the media of same-sex content include Ally McBeal, Cruel Intentions and Kissing Jessica Stein. Through all of these examples, lesbianism is more a tool for appealing to the male audience, rather than actual representation. Diamond analyses this content by noting that “such images implicitly convey that the most desirable and acceptable form of female-female sexuality is that which please and plays to the heterosexual male gaze, titillating male viewers while reassuring them that the participants remain sexually available in the conventional heterosexual marketplace” (pg. 105). This is simply a new realm to study in relation to Mulvey’s critique on the male gaze as objectifying female bodies in sexual glorification instead of showing how these experiences exist ‘in the real world.’
But what does the female body existing in ‘the real world’ look like? Well, keeping with the queerness theme, lesbian and queer female identifying bodies can be so various, which is something that goes without saying. There is no one way to be a female, and sometimes that does include the sexual glorification aspect that is portrayed in this other content. However, it is not quite as mystifying as what is portrayed in the media because bodies are not inherently sexual. As Butler says, “’the body’ appears as a passive medium on which cultural meanings are inscribed or as the instrument through which an appropriative and interpretive will determines a cultural meaning for itself” (pg. 6).
Look at my hand. This has no sexual inherence. But when I do this, am I a temptress now? Similarly, to semiotics, objects do not have meaning until we give them one.
The cisgender female body is not as mystifying as it once was. Now the gender diverse body has taken its place in full throttle, particularly through sexual activity itself. Neurologist and author, Dr Ogi Orgas found through an extensive study into online pornography that “one of the most popular types of erotica is transgender porn.” One male gaze has shifted from that of the cisgender female body to that of transgender female bodies. This is not to say that they are no longer interested in the cisgender female body, but that a new age has now been proven to exist through online pornography, that was previously unknown. Body glorification for trans women by cisgender heterosexual men has always existed, we are just now getting statistics on this phenomenon.
To ignore this new gender extension on the male gaze is to ignore the validity of trans women as people affected by feminist movements. In the same way that the male gaze was something that was identified and worked towards lesser sexual body glorification for cisgender female, the media must identify this too. Transgender and lesbian media cannot and should not exist solely to sexually gratify the heterosexual cisgender man. We must use our opportunities as queer people to represent these communities in ways that empower and de-mystify sexuality. That is the only way to undermine the patriarchal stance of queer media.
This is why we are making our documentary. Beyond the Binary serves as a representation of this one group in Wellington, nothing more. However, it does give a voice to similar experiences felt elsewhere. We intend to give our queer subjects the ability to speak to their experiences, without having an underlying agenda or sexual tone to it. Queer content should be made by and for queer people, which is why we are so motivated to produce this documentary.
Trans female and lesbian bodies should not be in place simply for male consumption, and I will do everything in my power to ensure otherwise. Queer people need to see other queer people. And I need to see more queer content, because Orange is the New Black just ended and I don’t know where to get my lesbians now!

In contrast to the less complex procedure of manual semen injection - in which sperm is put in the uterus and origination happens generally regularly - IVF involves combining eggs and sperm outside the body in a research facility. When an embryo or embryos structure, they are then put in the uterus. IVF is a mind-boggling and costly strategy; just about 5% of couples with infertility search it out. Be that as it may, since its introduction in the U.S. in 1981, IVF and other comparable procedures have brought about in excess of 200,000 infants.
What Causes of Infertility Can IVF Treat?
With regards to infertility, IVF might be a choice on the off chance that you or your accomplice have been determined to have:
IVF is never the initial phase in the treatment of infertility aside from in instances of complete tubal blockage. Instead, it's saved for cases in which different techniques, for example, fertility medications, medical procedure, and manual semen injection haven't worked.
In the event that you think that IVF may bode well for you, cautiously survey any treatment focus before undergoing the system. Here are a few things to ask the staff at the fertility clinic:
What is your pregnancy proportion per embryo exchange?
What is your pregnancy rate for couples in our age gathering and with our fertility issue?
What is the live birth rate for all couples who experience this system every year at your office?
What number of those conveyances are twins or other various births?
What amount of will the method cost, including the expense of the hormone medicines?
What amount does it cost to store embryos and to what extent would we be able to store them?
Do you take an interest in an egg gift program?
What Can I Expect From IVF?
The initial phase in IVF Doctors in Kolkata involves injecting hormones so you produce numerous eggs every month instead of just one. You will at that point be tried to determine whether you're prepared for egg recovery.
Preceding the recovery system, you will be given injections of a prescription that matures the developing eggs and begins the procedure of ovulation. Timing is essential; the eggs must be recovered just before they rise up out of the follicles in the ovaries. In the event that the eggs are taken out too soon or past the point of no return, they won't grow ordinarily. Your specialist may do blood tests or an ultrasound to make certain the eggs are at the correct phase of development before retrieving them. The IVF office will furnish you with exceptional instructions to pursue the prior night and the day of the technique. Most ladies are given pain drug and the decision of being gently quieted or going under full anesthesia.
During the methodology, your specialist will find follicles in the ovary with ultrasound and expel the eggs with an empty needle. The system ordinarily takes under 30 minutes, however, may take as long as 60 minutes.
Quickly following the recovery, your eggs will be blended in the research facility with your accomplice's sperm, which he will have given around the same time.
While you and your accomplice return home, the prepared eggs are kept in the clinic under perception to guarantee ideal development. Depending on the clinic, you may even hold as long as five days until the embryo achieves a further developed blastocyst organize.
When the embryos are prepared, you will come back to the IVF office so specialists can exchange at least one into your uterus. This methodology is faster and simpler than the recovery of the egg. The specialist will insert an adaptable cylinder called a catheter through your vagina and cervix and into your uterus, where the embryos will be saved. To increase the odds of pregnancy, most IVF specialists prescribe transferring up to three embryos at any given moment. Nonetheless, this implies you could have various pregnancy, which can increase the wellbeing dangers for both you and the infants.
Following the methodology, you would commonly remain in bed for a few hours and be released four to six hours after the fact. Your specialist will most likely play out a pregnancy test on you around about fourteen days after the embryo exchange.
In situations where the man's sperm tally is incredibly low, specialists may combine IVF with a system called intracytoplasmic sperm injection. In this methodology, a sperm is taken from semen - or sometimes directly from the gonads - and inserted legitimately into the egg. When a practical embryo is delivered, it is exchanged to the uterus using the typical IVF technique.
What Are the Success Rates for IVF?
Achievement rates for IVF rely upon various variables, including the purpose behind infertility, where you're having the strategy done, and your age. The CDC gathers national insights for all helped regenerative innovation (ART) methodology performed in the U.S., including IVF, GIFT, and ZIFT, despite the fact that IVF is by a long shot the most widely recognized; it represents 99% of the techniques. Meet Real-life Mowgli Ratna Singh, Who Gave Up Oxford Law To Heed The Call Of The Wild
New Post has been published on http://healingawerness.com/getting-healthy/getting-healthy-women/meet-real-life-mowgli-ratna-singh-who-gave-up-oxford-law-to-heed-the-call-of-the-wild/
Meet Real-life Mowgli Ratna Singh, Who Gave Up Oxford Law To Heed The Call Of The Wild
Shivani K June 10, 2019
A driver, a sommelier, a butler, a safety expert, a host, a babysitter,a mechanic, and an astronomer. She is all that and more. While we still live in a world where we think, analyze professions on the basis of gender and then choose them, we have women like Ratna Singh, who’ve chosen professions that even men keep an arm’s distance from. Ratna chose to become a naturalist.
Before she found her calling, she told her brother that she would be back in a year or two. Although she had made that decision, she lacked conviction while saying it. She was antsy and nervous because she had to make a big choice, a choice between two professions, two things she’s loved the most. One was to earn a seat in one of the most prestigious Universities of the world, Oxford Brookes University for studying law. And the second one was to spend the rest of her life in the wilderness, choosing to enter the world of wildness.
We all know who Mowgli was, the man-cub that lived in the jungle amongst the animals.Just like him, Ratna too was vastly influenced by her inner mowgli. The wild was always a part of her since childhood. That Mowgli girl who grew up notoriously amidst nature’s coddling creatures (big and small), and always fancied over if one could do the same for a living. So, she swung towards making a choice to discover as much as she could from nature’s secret garden.
How Our Wildflower Always Knew She Belonged In The Wild
ratnasingh9 / Instagram
Ratna Singh, a woman in her late 30s lived in an ancestral home which was a few hours’ drive from Bandhavgarh National Park, which falls in Umaria district, Madhya Pradesh. She did her schooling in Lucknow’s La Martiniere Girls’ School. Even as a young girl, she always felt at home when she was in the wild.
After she completed her schooling, she did her History (Hons) at Delhi University, followed by a PG diploma in Human Rights and Refugee Laws. She then worked in UNHCR (United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees) and also Red Cross before she decided to venture into the ‘naturalist training programs’ by Taj Safaris. Meanwhile, the following year, she was also accepted at the Oxfords Brookes University for an LLM in international law. But, it was the training program that had caught her fancy.
“I’ve always loved animals. We have a large home in the village that had plenty of space for all creatures great and small, with the usual dogs, cats, horses, mules from time to time and plenty of wild creatures like barn owls, honey badgers, and snakes in the granary and the woodshed. I always envied naturalists when I visited national parks. When I heard of the Taj Safaris Naturalist training program, it was an opportunity I found hard to give up. Honestly, I didn’t think I’d make the cut. I was the most surprised when I cleared the grueling five-week selection process that was like boot camp,” she recalls.
“Be back in a year or two,” is what she’d told her brother and now it’s been more than a decade since she’s made wildlife her best friend and we really think that this bug really seems to have bitten her!
Well, It Definitely Is Road Not Taken By Many
ratnasingh9 / Instagram
In simple words, another name for a naturalist would be a wildlife guide. The naturalists and the wildlife guides don’t just spot deers and elephants for you, they focus on the finer nuances of nature and spill some magic in them. Ratna recalls how she faced a lot of resistance initially, “I do have a faint memory of some stress, but all the wonderful support from friends, colleagues, and family far outweigh the short period of stress before I made my bones and earned my stripes, so to speak,” but yeah, none of it matters now. She’s only becoming stronger with the day, every day.
The Outlander Role
ratnasingh9 / Instagram
Although there were many women scientists and researchers who were into the wilderness when she started off, they weren’t professionally qualified to be a naturalist of a wildlife guide. She says that it was a challenge for her to make a mark for herself in this profession seriously. She points out that some of her guests thought that she’d be a polite guide and wouldn’t be able to track tigers. And some other wildlife trackers assumed that she might not be able to handle large vehicles over steep tracks. Even the villagers and forest guards had never seen a woman in an authoritative position in the wild and that too wearing a pair of pants. She recalls how she was always addressed as ‘sir’ for years. Later on, the people around her realized that she had what it took to wander in the wild and started showing their support for her. Ratna says, “After a while, I got treated like a man – in a good way I’d say.”
Now, More Women Are Taking The Mowgli Route
ratnasingh9 / Instagram
Currently, many women have ventured into this bold profession. In fact, even our forest department officials have begun training local and tribal girls as trackers. And for all those ladies who want to step into such roles, Ratna has one advise, “It’s physically demanding and one has to be a people’s person to be an effective naturalist and guide. There are almost no avenues of modern-day entertainment; one has to really get back to the basics.”
What do you think about taking up a profession in the wildlife? Let us know your views in the comments section below.
